Best Western Plus Hotel At The Convention Center - Long Beach

Der Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel war in der Summe eine gute Wahl. Die Lage in Long Beach ist zentral und dennoch erstaunlich ruhig gelegen. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten sind fußläufig zu erreichen. Konkret wussten sie weder, ob es einen Fahrradverleih in der Nähe, noch dass es einen Direktbus nach LA Flughafen gibt. Eine Zumutung ist das Frühstück. In diesem Hotel war auf unserer 17-tägigen Rundreise alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit. Das Zimmer war großzügig und das Bad war recht neu, so dass wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben. I thought it was okay considering that it was in long beach. But watch out they say they will only hold your money till you check out but it has been 3 days and still no return.

This is a pleasant surprise for us - we were expecting an average business oriented hotel but found a very comfortable and clean home with lots of amenities and a friendly staff. The location is convenient in the downtown area and seems to be very safe. The room is of decent size and the beds were very comfortable. Internet access is fast and the breakfast […] was good. Staff upon check in were fantastic!!!!

The hotel was so new, so clean, it felt like something you just purchased, unwrapped, right out of the box! The location is also excellent, close to my business location, as well as within walking distance of nightlife.

I had a pleasant experience here. I was in town for a conference, and the hotel was a 5 minute walk from the convention center. The surrounding few blocks did not have much to offer, but felt safe to wander around. The best were super comfortable, the temperature of the room was easily altered with the air conditioning/heating unit, and the bathroom […] was well appointed and clean. We enjoyed our stay. Loved the water in the lobby. Breakfast was great! bed so cozy! Room was nice. People at front desk were great! Overall...i loved it!

My friend and I went for a hair convention as we do every year. We reserved a room with a "balcony" which we had seen last year. The room we received did have a "balcony"; however, it was a 4-5 foot high stucco wall and the view of a wall and windows of other apartments about 20 feet away - we would have been peeping toms to try to be out there. The […] other side of the building had the "nice balconies" and we were told you only get those if you request the rooms with the king size bed. I wouldn't have bothered with a balcony room (wouldn't have paid for what I got) had I known that. Then there was the matter of when we checked out that the hotel tried to charge us for our towels because my 3 week faded hair color left a slight stain on it and my friend used another for removing her makeup. There were also others at the front desk being charged for their towels for the weekend because of the same thing. The hotel told us if we know our haircolor might bleed on the towels, we should bring our own towels!! Bring our own towels to a hotel? What is next, bring our own sheets too? The night staff was great and gave a great recommendation for a local restaurant but I probably wouldn't stay again given the room and the towel disappointments. Also, no refrigerator in room. We were there for 2 nights - would have been nice for our leftover food from our dinners. Mehr

Great value- comfortable rooms. We had a balcony which faced a street but surprisingly noise was not an issue. Everyone was very friendly. Breakfast was included with our room but we overslept, it ends at 9:00...perhaps they should extend it a little.

The parking was great even at $10 per day. Underground ramp. Was a bit frustrated that when I called the hotel to ask about parking, I was informed that parking was free. Only to arrive and find that it was $10 per day.

Great hotel, walking distance to shopping and nice restaurants. We stayed there the night before leaving Long Beach for a Cruise with Carnival. Quiet and easy check in/ check out. There is a plaza close by with all the last minute things you may need to pick up. Complementary breakfast was great. Not a big one, but I don't like a big breakfast. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating. The rooms have always been clean, well organized and modern. The surrounding area had plenty of attractions and restaurants near by to meet all my needs. I plan to stay there again.

My husband and i stayed there for one night and it was the most pleasant stay ever! The only minus was the pillow-it was soft but too thick that i had a neck pain. But except for this, everything was beyond my expectations.

A nice hotel with friendly staff, located a few blocks from the ocean, a free continental breakfast, with an easy 40-minute drive to the Rose Bowl. My only complaint dealt with the room key -- it operates like a credit card reader, and the lock had trouble reading my key -- it often took 10 swipes before the door would unlock. Very good location and very friendly staff!

Starting with the continental breakfast...there weren't enough tables and chairs for the guests. And the eggs they offered were only hard boiled ones which were all a bit over cooked. Also, I transact mainly in cash. For the $100 security deposit they forced me to add enough cash to my card to cover the deposit. They would not take cash. Would recommend anyone looking for a nice place with a reasonable rate. Rooms are really nice. Extra fee parking kinda sucks but what do you do, these no where else to park and at least your vehicle is safe.

Our family of five adults stayed at The Best Western for four nights and couldn't fault it in any way. Very friendly, obliging staff. Excellent location just a short walk from the Metro for access to Los Angeles. Great selection for breakfast and we got a table every day. Recommend to anyone.

Everything was great except that I could hear conversation from next door clearly. If you turn on heater, you won't hear much. Cozy size of indoor swimming pool was my 5 year old son's favorite. Wi-Fi connection in room was great.

Staff were very helpful. Unfortunately, hotel felt somewhat unsafe-- each room comes with individual doorbells, and our room had the doorbell rung twice between 2 am and 3 am. We of course did not answer the door to see who it was. Would not stay here again.

We were able to travel all over Long Beach and into Los Angeles and to LAX without a car...the hotel is only a couple of blocks from trains & buses. Our only expense was a short cab ride from the cruise port to the hotel.

This is a nice, well mantained place. I will always have a problem with "paying" to park at a hotel. That being said, I would stay here again for sure.

Hotel was clean and quite. The towels where clean but not soft. The breakfast included was bad ,and sitting area for breakfast was over crowed. Plenty of parking. No fridge in room.

We stayed here one night before taking the ferry to catalina and were very happy. It was very clean and the beds were comfy. Its right down the street from the aquarium and ports. We would definitely stay here again.

Exceptional hotel/staff, the bed was the most comfortable I had ever slept on anywhere.

Great design and quite comfortable. Try to stay with no guest on either side of your room because the walls are very thin.

Staying in Downtown Long Beach, a block from Ocean Blvd. and in the midst of some excellent small restaurants is a big plus. However, while printing my Boarding Pass in the BW lobby, I left my new iPhone by the printer --- within minutes, the phone was stolen. The security camera was blocked by a Christmas Tree, hotel staff were not overly concerned, […] a disappointment. So, enjoy, but watch your personal belongings!!! Mehr

Little things count most. When, I enter the hotel for check in, the receptionist was talking to coworkers. Since she was talking in Spanish, I was not sure what she was talking, but she told me to wait. I expect the receptionist primary duty is customer service. She can continue her conversation with the other employs when she is done with check in […] or check out. Off course unless there is an emergency condition which needs immediate attention of the receptionist. On the second day, I should check out at 11:00 and the card key was not functional from 10:00 AM I had to call two times the nearby cleaner to open the door. It is excellent hotel; I will recommend the hotel, I will be happy to return, but need further re training of the staff , to avoid poor customer service . Mehr

The BW in Long Beach was a nice hotel for the price. We walked to the bay and had dinner with many restaurants to choose from. Personnel were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was included and a computer is in the lobby for free use by guests.

This is a great location for downtown long beach. The price was right. It's a place to sleep, no bar or Restraurant in it but a lot within walking.

A good value for the money. I stayed 3 nights. Food places hidden around the neighborhood, either high end steakhouse or bistros or local mexican restaurant and cafes. Clean and well maintained. Parking was $10/day, not bad pricing for dead center in a city.
