Nicht mehr so neues Hotel, aber fuer Manila akzeptabel. Wir waren bisher immer im SOGO , Mabini Street . The Pearl Manila Hotel bekommt von uns mindestens 1 Stern mehr. Sauber, freundlich guter Service und ausreichendes Frühstückcksbuffet.

Das Hotel war bestimmt einmal sehr gut, ist aber in die Jahre gekommen. Das Mobiliar und die Teppiche müssten dringend erneuert werden, in einigen Zimmern riecht es muffig. Das Hotel liegt direkt an der Metro-Haltestelle "UN Boulevard". Hier sind viele kleine Supermärkte und Kneipen in Fußreichweite. Der Pool auf dem Dach war sauber, die Zimmer zweckmäßig in Ordnung. Der Service freundlich und das Fitnessstudio machte auch nen guten Eindruck. Das Frühstück haben wir leider zwei Mal verpasst und länger waren wir nicht. […] Hierzu kann ich also keinen Bericht abgeben. Dass vor den Lifteingängen Sessel stehen hat auch einen guten Grund: man wartet eine Weile bis der Liftboy mit dem Ding angefahren kommt... I was very pleased with the hotel, my room was clean, had a good comfy bed, an awesome shower (rare in manila) and good city views. The pool area was nice, also with great city views. Staff were friendly and helpful. When we first checked in on our inbound flight, the suite room we were given was sub-par for this hotel. I knew there were far better suite rooms available and expressed my concerns to the staff. While eating breakfast, the hotel manager came over and talked with us, he listened to our complaints and told us he would look into them immediately. By the […] time we got back to our room, all of the issues I complained about had been fixed. On our return flight we stayed at this hotel again. When we checked in, we were given one of the best suite rooms in perfect condition. The staff was very courteous and attentive. I've been staying at the Pearl for over ten years now whenever I travel to Manila and all in all I have to say I have a Love/Hate relationship with this place. The thing is, whenever I get mad enough that I let the staff know, the manager always makes it right and we come away with a good feeling about the place. We like the location, so It's always our go-to hotel. No Hotel is perfect in Manila, but this one is pretty good considering the cost and value. Mehr

Stayed there a total of 14 days out of my 21 day vacation. Though had some glitches from time to time, kept coming back due to the excellent value for the condition. The hotel is a little tired in the common areas, however, the rooms were in great shape. The TV's were small, but had plenty of channels. Each room was had a fridge with complimentary water, […] plus soft drinks and beer for a small charge. Nice big pool with almost no one using it. My first 2 days, I got a superior room with breakfast included, but both times was disappointed with the breakfast buffet and recommend not spending the extra money for it. There is a McDonalds and Jollibee next door, a Pancake House and Le Cour French Cafe across the street, and a Cafe France just a long block away. All have decent food for breakfast. If you want to stay away from the area of bars and hookers, be close to the US Embasssy, Robinson's, the LRT, and don't mind the homeless sleeping on the corner, this is a very good choice. It is family oriented, and has a lot of business people staying there. We had occasion to have the kids stay over for a weekend and got a junior suite. Well worth the extra cost to have a bedrrom with separate living room with convertible couch. All in all a good choice and would stay there again. Mehr

Spent the night in Manila before getting up early in order to catch a connecting flight. The hotel was okay, about 20 min taxiride from the airport, clean room and friendly staff. A little worn around the edges but the pool area is still really nice.

We've stayed here a few other times. Not much has changed and it has always been all we needed for a comfortable short stay. It is not fancy but adequate and the pool is nice. I believe the carpet in the halls has been changed since my last stay. The hotel has free breakfast, a nice outdoor pool on the 9th floor, good AC, plenty of hot water for showers, […] and a refrigerator.There are plenty of places nearby to eat. Extra towels are available to use at the pool. The view of the Manila skyline at night is very nice and our room had a view of the harbor as well. Mehr

For those of you planning to stay at the Pearl Manila hotel I strongly recomend not arriving earlier than their designated 2pm check in time or else they will charge you an exra days stay. The room I recieved(and I booked my room a few days ahead) was musty smelling like mold or meldew. The beds are not very comfortable but the air conditioner worked […] well. Words cannot express the disaster this hotel is. The general cleanliness, upkeep, condition, FF&E are all well below acceptable standards for anyone who is looking for a place to stay and feel like you are not walking out with bed-bugs, or some other disease. This hotel had the dirtiest carpets in their rooms. Also their bedsheets and blankets make you itchy and you feel that some tiny invisible insects are biting you. Seems you get what you pay for. The staff were very polite and friendly. The breakfast was good.

For a supposed 2-3 star hotel... it's NOT. I'd give it one star at best. For the price, I could have stayed a week in many of the other "cheap hotels" ... I definitely don't recommend. The curtains looked like they'd been used as a firing squad practice range, and the carpets looked like the hotel had been a murder scene. The breakfast was the only […] slightly redeeming part in the sense that it was edible, but I wouldn't go much further. The staff is nice, but it's the Philippines so you'll find that staff is nice even in the grossest hotels. It seems strange that the lobby is on floor 9 (parking garage floor 1-8), and so when you enter the hotel, every time it takes 5-10 minutes for one of the elevators to pick you up on the ground floor. The neighborhood is full of people sleeping in the streets... not a safety issue but it's certainly not a desirable area. Getting a cab to\from this area is a big challenge, so allow yourself a half an hour if you need to get one. I stayed here once before, and it wasn't AS bad as this whole experience, so I thought I'd give it another chance. This was the last time I'll be staying here. For the same cost, you can do much better, and not have to tolerate the grossness. Mehr

Over all the wait staff in the resturant provide very good service. The front desk staff was not quite as helpful. The overall condition of the room and comfort of the room was marginal at best. The hotel is in need of a complete renovation. I would guess that it has not been updated in the last twenty years.

This is a nice hotel IF you need to be near the Embassy or older part of Manila. It is somewhat older and it shows. Staff are very friendly. Breakfast buffet is totally the same everyday...so hope you like scrambled eggs. But, I'm not knocking it I had plenty and it was good food. To be included with room at the rate I paid it was a bargain !

Manila is very large city, so depending on where you want to be will maybe dictate where you stay. I have stayed at The Pearl Manila Hotel several times. It suits me. It is close to the parts of Manila that I visit. Had to wait one hour to have my room ready. The faucet has a water hammering problem. I have to wait 2 hours from the maintenance department to fix a leak in the aircon unit. After it was finally fixed, the maintenance people didn't even clean the mess they left. The restroom in the gym smells bad. “HORRIBLE, NASTY, HOLE- IN- THE- WALL!” Three star hotel?! This is far from being a three star hotel. The picture Expedia displays is completely different then the room That was presented to me. The room was dark dirty and was not even Completely painted. When I tried to connect to the internet the wireless Access point was three floors below me. I […] tried to connect via RJ45 (cable connection) still no luck. I called the front desk only to find out there was a charge, but if you look on Expedia’s website is clearly informs one that the internet is free. After arguing for 20minutes with management they agreed to provide me with free internet. When they called there local Network Administrator he didn’t know how to turn on the port on the switch. When management discovered this they decided to move me and girlfriend to a different room. Good Right? No! I moved to five different rooms each room on a different floor, and every room the internet didn’t work, and conditions of the room worsen. After being moved around so much I decided to leave. Nice size hotel room, everything and you can tell it, has the potential to be up there with the best, it is just time for a makeover, 99% of the hotel aven the small ones have internet access in the rooms, wow...with big hotel everybody has to come out of your room and huddle in a small area in the lobby area to access the internet....not good.....
