hotel was old and damp, our room had blue mold on the furniture and the bed felt damp and the smell from the air conditioning was bad and the smell in the hotel was awful. the staff were plesent but i waould never stay in this hotel again.When booking i thought that the chain of Ramada hotels would be of the same standard but i was wrong!!!!

I have been staying here for the last 20 years. It was holiday inn previously now run by Ramada. Not much of a change in the hotel in all these years. The bathrooms need to be refurbished as the fittings do not work properly. The water force in the shower is less. The pillows need to be changed . Apart from this the rooms are spacious and comfortable. […] The food is really good. They have a small cake shop called Tempt Inn near the reception which serves delicious short eats. The location of the hotel was nice as it was close to the Galle Green and other hotels and shopping in the area. However, the rooms themselves were outdated with older decor and amenities, the shower needed updating as the shower head was old and set low and the water temperature was luke warm at best. The hotel only has one restaurant in comparison […] to tohers in the area which offer more variety. Did have the breakfast buffet though which was surprisingly good with good options like a waffle and omeltte station. Overall, if you are on a budget trip and want to save money to splurge elsewhere this hotel is doable but if you prefer someting a litlte more updated would recommend somewhere like the Hilton or Cinnamon Grand which both had great restaurants, decor, and atmosphere. While traveling with wife, I like this hotel very much: its in good location, ocean just across the road, and all the sightseeing locations are easy to walk or drive by. Hotel is calm, no extra "push" service towards You, but everything is managed right. Its not great looking, but same time clean and reliable. Rooms are good for the price. And our recommendations […] for Indian restaurant at first floor -- best food experience around Sri Lanka... To see Colombo You ll need max 2 days. But may want to reserve the third day for traveling to around waterfalls. Main attractions are in central part of island, so keep 3-4 days for it. Mehr

The hotel is very dirty. Sheets on bed and pillows are dirty. Food is not good and only served as bouffant and pricing is more expensive than five star hotels in Colombo. Internet is very slow and expensive ($16 pre hour). Very slow in all type of service. I do not recommend such hotel to any visitor.

This hotel needs an unscheduled inspection. While staff was helpful and friendly and the rooms comfortable, a lack of attention is being given to cleanliness. 7 of my family stayed in this hotel for a week (3 of us stayed 10 days) and during that time 5 of us experienced vomiting and/or diarrhea. We found that the cups and glasses in our rooms were […] being rinsed off in the bathroom (with paper being wrapped around the glasses as though they had just arrived) and dried with dirty towels. Serviettes were being recycled! Dishes coming from room service were sometimes dirty. Dirty towels were being used to mop floor areas not covered with carpet. I would not stay in this hotel again and I would not recommend it to anyone. Mehr

In an area which seems to be reserved for tourist hotels, embassies and Prime Ministers/Presidents house, this is well located: a short walk from the sea front, a supermarket/shopping centre/food mall, (beside the Cinnamon Hotel) and our room did have a restricted sea view. Better condition than neighbouring hotels (even those with an extra star) and […] much better value. Clean rooms which were not infested by insects (again, unlike surrounding more expensive hotels). The Ramada is a good standard international hotel, well situated close to the sea front and promenade, and within easy reach of the city centre and Fort railway station. The food in the hotel is good value for money and there is a big choice.

8th floor room overlooking the sea and Taj Sumundra. Unfortunately pool was closed for repairs, however arrangements were made for guest to swim at the Taj Sumundra swimming pool - lovely location. Coffee bar food was good, service good. Hotel manager arranged a late check out (3.00 p.m.) as I had a late flight.

It is not the residential-type hotel, but enough for business-use or short stay. Close to Galle Face Green, staff are debonair, it is not bad. But due to exterior working from August, the windows could not opened and stank of paint thinner. Next […] time,I would like to stay Taj Samdra or Galle Face Hotel next to here ,because they are fancy. 滞在型のホテルではないですが、ビジネスユーズには充分だと思います。ゴール・フェイス・グリーンのすぐ近くで、従業員の対応も悪くありませんでした。ただ8月から外装工事中とのことで、窓が開けられず、シンナー臭がしました。また朝食が別料金で、最初にルームナンバーを告げたのに食後すぐに代金を払わなくてはいけなかったのも残念でした。隣のタージ・サムドラやゴール・フェイスホテルが立派だったので、次はそちらに泊まってみたいです。 Mehr
