Monte Kristo Hotel - Riga

Eine sehr günstige Lage, man ist in 3 Minuten mitten in der Altstadt. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Frühstück reichhaltig und schmackhaft, jedoch sitzt man auf Grund der Enge unbequem.

Wir waren in einem sehr kleinen Doppelzimmer untergebracht; erst nachdem wir die zwei Stühle auf den Schrank verfrachtet hatten, konnte man problemlos zum Bett gelangen... Das Frühstücksbüffet war nichts für mich (habe selten so unappetitliche Spiegeleier gesehen), meine Partnerin allerdings hat sich in die Bananencrèpes verliebt. Dafür war das Zimmer […] sehr ruhig und das Bett bequem, d.h. nicht zu weich. Da wir nur zum Schlafen im Zimmer waren, war das Ganze erträglich, der Preis OK. Very comfortable stay at this hotel which is very conveniently positioned for visiting the Old Town of Riga and it's many attractions. The bus stop and train station are literally across the road from the hotel. Number 22 to airport for 70 cents! Rooms comfortable, modern and clean. Only moan would be that there was no window apart from a sky light. […] We were given a fan as the room was fairly stuffy at times. Apart from that we had a perfect stay. The breakfast was very good with a good variety of choice to suit every taste. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. Mehr

This hotel has a 4 stars, but it does not deserve them!!! Although the location is central, which is convenient, stay somewhere else.! Hotel service is horrible, no customer service at all. The owner is rude and unaccomidating. There is no excuse or her rude behavior and bad service. Rooms are not very clean and soap or towels are hard to come by. We […] had to ask for soap 3 or 4 times before it was brought in. And we made to feel like we were bothering them with silly requests. Inclusive breakfast at the hotel is a joke. Even coffee was undrinkable! During the night there are always alternative type of crowd gathering at the downstairs restaurant. After few drinks they are very loud, and the hotel staff does nothing to quet them down. Sleeping at night is difficult here. After few nights of this we asked to have our room changed for another one away from the noise, and were offered a basement room that had not a single window for more money. We really are very easy going people, but this was too much. We will never stay at this hotel again! Mehr

Great location at edge of old town and very close to bus and train station. Rooms are very small but only a problem if you have large suitcases.

Hotel located near bus station in the center of Riga. Stayed there for 1 night only. Room was clean and I was very much satisfied by the choice of the food for the breakfast

I loved this hotel!!! It was in an awesome location right in the Old Town. Everything seemed to be right there. The Galleria is at the end of the; it had many stores but most importantly a Rimi Supermarket & Citadele Bank, which had the best exchange rates. The bus & train stations were a short 5-8 min walk as was the Central Market. I took the AirBaltic […] mini-bus from/to the airport. They dropped me off at the corner of the street even they are supposed to only go to their scheduled spots. The pick-up spot was at the Riga Hotel less than 5 min away. The staff is wonderful – very helpful, knowledgeable & pleasant. The breakfast was plentiful; none of the serving trays were ever empty. They serve breakfast in their quaint cellar. You feel like you are in a castle. The hotel was spotless. I had read a review prior to going that said to avoid room 2A. When the receptionist attempted to put me in that room, I asked for a different one. She showed me both 2A & another room. 2A is unusual as there are 2 levels. The bed is on the top floor with a TV. The bathroom is downstairs. There’s a window over the bed. There did not appear to be anything wrong with the room except for the inconvenience of having to go down the steps to the bathroom in the middle of the night & the possible noise with the window since there was a bar next door. Therefore I opted for a different room. One odd item is that there was no window in my room. This wasn’t a problem. It’s like being in an inside cabin on a cruise ship. The room had A/C & a mini-fridge. I loved the feel & décor of this hotel. It has beautiful marble floors with thick red rugs. There is thick, dark wood throughout the room. They had a tea maker in the room. The bed was extremely comfortable. My only complaint would be that the hotel was a bit noisy at times but that certainly is not the hotel’s fault. Although Hotels.com web site stated the window(s) open, the window only opens to the hallway. NO FRESH AIR. The room was hot and stuffy, after complaining they gave us a remote for the AC, except the AC only blows hot air!Made for a miserable night. This was a lovely hotel - great location and a lovely building but there were two things which spoilt it - the attached restaurant seemed closed for most of the time we were there (which was out of season, to be fair) and we had a room with no window.

The Monte Cristo was very nice. The interior of the hotel was beautiful--lots of exposed stone and very well maintained. I was a bit miffed on check in to find that there is no parking. Why don't hotels say this on their website?! The hotel did direct me to a neighboring hotel that has parking and charges Euro 15/day, but it would have been helpful […] to know this in advance. My room was very nice--large, with a queen bed (very unusual). The only drawback was that there was no window in the room! Very strange not to have any natural light at all. It was the middle of winter and I'm sure the hotel was not fully booked, so I am surprised that they gave me this room when they must have had plenty of other rooms available. The location of the hotel is excellent--on the edge of Old Town and within easy walking distance to tons of restaurants. Overall, an excellent value, but I would request a room with a window. Mehr

It is close to all the beautiful sites and shops. All within walking distance. The breakfast was very good. We were very satisfied with the overall of the hotel.

Hotellin palvelut olivat erinomaiset ja hotelli oli rauhallinen. Nukuin yöni oikein hyvin sillä melua ei kuulunut mistään.

Rommet mitt var uten vindu og det drar ned på rommets komfort. Rommet lå rett ved siden av et rom som ble brukt av rengjørings personalet og ble vekket hver gang de var der. Irriterende. Ellers et lite hotell midt i gamlebyen, en trenger ikke å bruke offentlig transport el ta drosje, alt er et steinkaST unna. De som vil ta bussen til og fra flyplassen […] så kan jeg anbefale det, bussholdeplass ligger 100 m ifra hotellet. En ting vil jeg også poengtere og det er isolasjon, selv om jeg bodde i 3 etg så kunne jeg høre resepsjonisten prate og taste i tastaturet på pc en. Merkelig! Alt i alt et hotell midt på 3, selv om det er et 4 stars hotell, ville heller sagt et motell. Mehr

Litt slappe og giddalause ansatte men et koselig hotell. Veldig bra beliggenhet men opplevdes ikke som spesielt trygt.

Hinta/laatu suhde loistava, kuten myös sijainti. Osaavat yllättää a la carte hinnoillaan toisinaan tarjouksin -50%. Monipuolinen tukeva aamupalapöytä.

Majoituimme kaksi yötä kuuden hengen seurueella. Hotelli oli oiva valinta. Sijainti oli erittäin hyvä vanhan kaupungin reunalla ja lähellä bussipysäkkiä, jolta pääsi lentokentälle -edullisesti. Palvelutaso oli hyvä. Hotelli siisti ja toimiva, vaikka huoneet olivat pieniä. Toppenläge, nära till marknaden, gamla stan och andra områden. Mycket vänliga och hjälpsamma med guidning i receptionen. Rekommenderas. Plus att det var superbilligt!

Sopivan kävelymatkan päässä kaikista kiinnostavista paikoista. Monipuolinen aamiainen. Ystävällinen, ja iloinen henkilökunta.

Ett mysigt och trevligt hotell i gamla stan. Allt tyckte jag var bra, förutom frukosten vilken var väldigt tråkig. Speciellt för mig som är vegetarian. Annars var allting kanon. Billigt och kvalité!

Suomalaisittain hotellin taso 2-3 tähteä; se oli pimeä osan tiloista sijaitessa maan alla. Aamiaisella jäin kaipaamaan laajempaa tumman leivän valikoimaa.

Tunnemallinen pikkuhotelli, Riikamaisen mukava henkilökunta, tilavat huoneet ja aamupalalla sai vatsansa täyteen. Ainoa miinus oli todella epämukavat ja kovapatjaiset sängyt. Keskeinen sijainti Stockmannin, Keskustorin ja Vanhankaupungin välissä.

hotellin sijanti hyvä, palvelu ystävällistä ja aamiainen melkoisen mukava. Hinta-laatu suhde HYVÄ. Suosittelen.

Hotellin sijainti erittäin hyvä. Vanhan kaupungin nähtävyydet alkavat heti hotellin läheisyydestä samoin matka torille ja moniin uusiin kauppakeskuksiin on vain muutaman minuutin kävelymatkan etäisyydellä. Aamiainen oli monipuolinen ja päivittäin vaihteleva. Paikallisuus korostui tarjonnassa. Jos halusi kevyen vaihtoehdon, oli tarjolla runsaasti vihanneksia […] ja hedelmiä. Litt trangt på rommet, badet var ikke helt på nivå man kunne forvente. Frokosten var grei, men veeeldig lite plass der og. Hotellet er ikke for dei over 1.80. Vi var heldige med at det ikke var noe liv ute om natta pga regn, ellers ville det vært mye bråk fra pubben rett ved siden. Beliggenhet og pris var vel det beste ved hotellet.

Hotellet kan anbefales, bra standard, ok frokost, litt små rom, men de kan utvides mot pristillegg. PS den ene TV kanalen sender porno 24/7, vær oppmerksom på dette hvis du har med barn.

я провела в отеле в 1 ночь,заселение было как обычно в 14:00,но если номер готов можно заселиться и раньше,а выезд был в 12:00(по Рижскому времени),завтрак был очень сытным и разнообразным,ужинала я тоже в отеле,но это не было включено в стоимость,ужин тоже очень сытный и самое главное дешевый,единственный минус,в номере не было окна,но был сделан муляж,по […] этому можно сказать что это не минус,а недочёт. Olimme tyytyväisiä hotelliin, paitsi toista matkalaista ei aamupala houkuttanut.Liian rasvaista ja sössömäistä, mitä lie paikallisia juttuja. Huone ihan jees, paitsi että wc- suihkutilassa ei ollut lattiakaivoa ja allassuihkussa vesi roiskui....tuli pyyhkeille käyttöä. Mukava oma terassi ulkona, oli auki klo 23 asti, palvelu nopeaa ja ystävällistä. Esitteissä […] luki lisäpalveluna sauna, mutta sitähän ei sitten ollut. Paitsi yhdessä sviittihuoneessa, joka ei nyt sitten sattunut olemaan meidän huone. Sijainti hyvä, vanhan kaupungin laidalla, lyhyt matka sinne ja kauppatorille. Yöt rauhallisia, ei kuulunut hälyääniä. Voisin mennä toistekin ja suosittelen kyllä!! Mehr

Olimme elokuussa mieheni kanssa kaksi yötä Monte Cristossa ja suosittelemme.Se oli erittäin viihtyisä ja palvelut toimivat mainiosti,lisäksi sijainti oli täydellinen!Muutenkin ihastuimme ko.kaupunkiin ja tulemme varmasti uudestaankin!

Locatie, vriendelijkheid personeel en het buitenterras zijn uitstekend. Standaardkamer viel erg tegen (niet zoals op de foto's), maar op bovenste etage die laag is, met kleine kamers en muf. Wel alle voorzieningen aanwezig.

Hotelli kätevästi liikenneyhteyksien äärellä. Hotellihuone melko pieni. Varustelu kuitenkin hyvä (ilmastointi, TV, minibaari, tallelokero, vedenkeitin). Pyyhkeet vaihdettiin joka päivä (yövyin kuusi yötä). Aamiainen kohtuullisen hyvä. Hinta laatusuhde oli mielestäni kohdallaan.

veldig sentralt og fint hotell. bare veeeeeldig lite rom! så orket ikke være der mer enn nødvendig. kan jo hende vi var uheldig med rommet.

Mukava pikkuhotelli erittäin hyvällä paikalla. Vieressä asemat, kauppahallit ja vanhakaupunki. Aamiainen oli monipuolinen, tosin vähän erilainen kuin Suomessa on totuttu. Runsaasti lämpimiä vaihtoehtoja, täytettyjä lettuja ym. Hotellin sisustus nimen mukainen, vanhanaikaisesti toteutettu, siisti kuitenkin. Meille sattui varmaan hotellin pienin huone, […] joka siis ainoa matkamme miinus. Tulimme aamulla jo yhdeksän jälkeen ja saimme huoneen reilusti etuajassa, mutta huone oli ikkunaton (jota ei aluksi tosin huomannut kun ikkuna oli feikki-ikkuna ;) Mehr

Hotellet har en sentral beliggenhet. Gåavstand til varehus,restauranter,"historien" og kommunikasjoner. Reisetid fra hotellet til flyplassen en time.Alt dette gjør at det ikke kommer til ekstra utgifter til intern transport.

Hinta/laatusuhde todella kohdallaan. Palvelu ystävällistä, rauhallinen sijainti, runsas aamupala buffetista. Ehtottomasti hintansa väärti.
