Das Hotel hat einen tollen Ausblick und schöne Umgebung. Mit Bus ist man schnell in der Stadt. Anscheinend ist es auch ein beliebtes Hotel für Familienfeiern an Wochenenden. Davon durften wir eine akustisch bis in die späte Nacht miterleben.

Hotel liegt sehr schön gelegen hoch über Oslo, oberhalb des Holmenkollen. Zimmer sehr ruhig im Wald mit Blick über Oslo. Hotel ist ein beliebtes Tagungshotel und am Wochende finden dort gerne Hochzeiten statt. Die Anreise ohne Auto ist etwas beschwerlich, da die nächste U-Bahn Station ca. 500 m zu Fuß entfernt liegt und die U-Bahn bis Oktober 2010 aufgrund […] von Bauarbeiten durch einen eher unpünklichen Busersatzverkehr ersetzt wurde. Das Hotel bietet keinen Shuttle Service von der Busstation zum Hotel an, sodaß man auch bei Regen die Strecke mit den Koffern zu Fuß zurücklegen muss. Ebenso war das Hotel nicht bereit die Checkout Zeit am Abreisetag zu verlängern. Pluspunkt: Es ist eine Minibar auf dem Zimmer. Pluspunkt: Zimmer hatte Balkon und Türe zum öffenen. Mehr

Das Zimmer entsprach unseren Erwartungen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und servicesorientiert. Das Hotel bietet einen schönen Ausblick über Oslo. Das Hotel war leicht zu finden.

The hotel was lovely and clean. The rooms were well presented. The whole place was delightful.The reception staff were particularly helpful and friendly.

The hotel is wonderful and the rooms were great. The breakfast was spectacular with plenty of variety of food and bevarage each morning. The view from the hotel was great and the hotel is near good cross country skiing. The only negatives I can think of was the late night disco music in the bar above my room on Saturday night ending around 3 AM. Bring […] earplugs in case you are in he rooms under the bar. Also, the walk to and from the T-Banen Voksenkollen stop gets a little old when the weather is cold. But you are in Norway so expect winter. Mehr

The hotel is located in a very beautiful area of Oslo, far from the noisy streets but still so close to the city. Surrounded by beautiful nature both in the summer and the winter. Only five minutes walk to the subway that will take you to the city central in 30mins. Excellent and healthy breakfast. Friendly staff.

The only drawback of the place is that it is outside Oslo. It can be reached on metro in 30 minutes from downtown. Oh, and another one: the place is on a hill, and you have to get your luggage there by yourself. I found it was worth it, given that its considererably cheaper than Oslo hotels, especially given the quality. The room was comfortable, with […] a touch of nice design. A typical view from my room window was: nice lawn, then further away trees, then a fog. Breakfast was wonderful (lots of fruit, cold cuts; smoked salmon, warm dishes, yoghurt, cereals). This hotel in in a beautiful location above oslo and has some nice trails around it for hiking and running. The service was excellent and very helpful, even though they messed up our reservation somewhat. The breakfast was also great!

Great comfortable, clean hotel, close enough to walk to the Tryvann Vinterpark where we were skiing for a few days. Also convenient enough if you want to go back into central Oslo. Thoroughly recommended.

This hotel is a beautiful place up in the mountain side of Oslo. We don't recommend this place if you are looking for something in centre of town or have heavy luggage. It seemed like an epic journey to the hotel. First of all, we made the mistake of booking this hotel without reading the reviews of others about the construction of the train line. The […] train that would normally take a short time to this hotel is under construction until Dec 2010 so a bus service is in its place. It takes about 30 minutes bus ride to Majorstuen station and then you take the metro into downtown. The commute would have been more convenient with the train. The views of Oslo center from the hotel was spectacular and apparently it is very popular for the ski season (there is a ski jump on the hill). When we were booking, all other hotels were sooo expensive in the center so this hotel was a good deal if you have time for the 45 min ride. Other than that this place was great for the breakfast buffet, nice staff, etc. Mehr

Pros: it has magnificent view of the Fjords and city. It was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would be a great location for skiing in the winter. Probably had some nice hiking trails but we there more for the city sites on this trip. Cons: The room we had was somewhat small but we did go for economy […] over comfort. If you are primarily visiting Oslo city center, it's a bit out there (25 minute bus ride) and bus stop is 5-10 minute walk uphill to the hotel. Bus fares can get expensive (without Oslo Pass which they do sell at the hotel). Hotel is somewhat isolated: no restaurants or shops within walking distance. Mehr

The hotel is well outside of Oslo. That wouldn't have been so bad if the T-Bane was running, but it wasn't. The bus did come frequently, and was very punctual, but we weren't expecting to take a bus ride every time. The menu in the restaurant was minimal. It is advertised (in Oslo) as a Conference Center vice a Hotel. If you are trying to get out in the countryside, this is a great place. If you are visiting Oslo and want to take public transportation to/from the city (which was our plan), we don't recommend it. This hotel is nestled in the mountain side of Oslo. The view from my room far exceeded the low price I paid! The hotel room was quaint in size (common European size) BUT the amenities were countless! The hotel has many simple "going green" concepts which I appreciated. These concepts did not make me go out of my way in routine, they opened my mind to […] small changes I, too, can make! The breakfast (covered in hotel rate) is out of this world. I looked forward to the fresh light and healthy breakfast daily. I can't say enough good things about the quality of this hotel. The neighborhood is a mountain community. The hotel is just about 1/2 mile walk from the bus stop that takes you to the city. The hotel is a nice way to get away from the city center and appreciate nature. Though, if you want to stay in the city center you will want to look elsewhere. First of all, the information said "air conditioning." No air conditioning! We selected a double bed, but when we got there we were told the hotel was full and we had two single beds. Very difficult location to get to - ALOT of construction! This hotel is definitely for "nature lovers." We booked this hotel because the hotels in downtown Oslo were completely […] full. The hotel is situated in the hills behind Oslo with a wonderful view of the city and fjord from the dining room. It is accessible via a short metro ride, a 30 minute bus ride anda 6-7 minute walk. The buses are frequent. By the end of 2010 the upgraded metro will be re-opened, replacing the bus. Because of the distance from the city only one trip a […] day is practical. Good hotel in a pretty/ scenic location. However, if you intend to be based in main downtown Oslo this hotel is probably not the best. The walk from the bus/ subway station can be challenging as it is quite steep on the way there. Add in bad weather and a family including pushchairs and it becomes a nightmare.

I got a very good price when I booked this hotel a day before I traveled to Oslo. The hotel was perfect. Large, spotless, comfortable room, great breakfast, tastefully decorated common areas, free Wi-Fi. The hotel is located on the mountain, overlooking Oslo, near winter ski resorts. Unfortunately, the hotel website did not mention that due to track repair the subway was not running the whole summer. If I knew that, I probably would not have booked it. There was a bus running instead of the subway. It was very reliable and quite comfortable, but it definitely took longer than the train would. In the end I do not regret staying in this hotel. I just wish I was told about the subway not running when I booked, instead of finding about it when I arrived in Oslo late in the evening. Mehr

The hotel is in a great location if you want to get away from it all. You can get a train to 10 minutes of the door and its only 30 minutes ride to the centre. However, the kitchen wasnt open in the evening and this is in May. Also the swimming pool was not open which was really a shame as it was 30degress heat. The breakfast was a little disapointing […] and especially on the last day when there was barely anything there. The reception staff were pleasant enough and the room was great but the bathroom was a little unclean. Overall though a nice place to stay outside of the centre and we got it for half price on offer. Hotellet har ingen heis. Rommene var en smule små og hadde ikke noen sarlig god måte å møblere det på. (Personlig så liker jeg å lige på sengen å se på TV, men det gikk ikke her). Badet var bitte lite, men greit.

For å være et 4stjernes hotell var frokosten ikke bra. Godt innhold på menyen, men kvaliteten på ' smaken' av maten var ikke god.

Fint hotell for grupper eller flere personer, ligger i meget rolige omgivelser men sentralt til Holmenkollen, koslig betjening.

Très content de cet hôtel. Cadre idyllique, perché sur une colline au dessus d'Oslo, dans la forêt. Vue incroyable sur Oslo, départ de randonnées, à quelques centaines de mètres du tremplin de saut à ski. L'hôtel est très propre, très bien tenu. Belle salle à manger, tables en bois, bibliothèque charmante, salle de bar très agréable. L'hôtel dispose […] d'un sauna ouvert jusqu'à 23h, sympa quand on rentre d'une grosse journée de visite. Notre chambre était très propre, le lit très confortable. Très calme. Petit déjeuner très copieux, beaucoup de choix (plats chauds, céréales, fruits, charcuterie,... de quoi zapper le repas du midi). La salle de bain était petite et la douche séparée du reste de la salle de bains par un rideau (seul point négatif à mon avis). On se sent vraiment bien dans cet hôtel, nous n'avons pas regretté notre choix. Pour se rendre dans le centre ville d'Oslo il faut compter 30-35 minutes. L'arrêt de métro se trouve à 5 minutes à pied de l'hôtel. Si vous comptez retourner souvent à votre hôtel pendant la journée, ou si vous comptez sortir le soir, cet hôtel n'est pas le mieux c'est clair. Pour nous on descendait le matin en ville et on rentrait le soir après le restau. C'était parfait. Et puis la descente (ou remontée) en métro est magnifique et vaut le voyage. On ne s'en lasse pas. On traverse les beaux quartiers d'Oslo et la vue est sublime. Franchement, grâce à une offre sur Internet, on a payé pratiquement le même prix que pour être dans une AJ sans toilettes ou douche. un pò lontano dal centro ma il viaggio in metropolitana di superficie per raggiungerlo è comodo e piacevole perchè attraversa una bellissima zona residenziale. Servizi buoni, cortese il personale; molto buona la colazione. Da consigliare anche in rapporto alla qualità/prezzo

Hotellet ligger litt langt fra sentrum (19 t-bane stopp). Men det er utrolig deilig å komme seg vekk fra støyen og folkemengdene i sentrum, og komme opp til nydelig utsikt, og store uteområder, med mange turstier. Servicen var veldig bra, og frokostbuffeen va kjempe flott! Spiste i restauranten den ene dagen, og det var et nydelig måltid :) Alt i alt […] veldig fornøyd med mitt opphold. Mehr

Un pò lontano dal centro ma visti i prezzi di Oslo la soluzione è molto soddisfacente essendo l'hotelservito dalla T-bane.

Regn og tåke ute. Varmt og godt inne. God mat mat og hyggelig betjening. Rommet var greit men desverre badekar istedet for dusj.

El Hotel estaba un poco retirado del casco ,pero en una zona muy tranquila y suponemos que bonita, porque el día que llegamos y el día que nos fuimos había tanta niebla que no se veia nada.Por lo demás la habitación estaba muy bien,la atención del personal correcta y el desayuno bien.

If you´d like to see Oslo city but also have a glimpse of norways countryside its the hotel to stay in! Great breakfast, very confortable bed, very clean, nice people. The view from the hotel is breathtaking, and the surrounding forest inspiring! Loved it!

L'hotel è molto bello, la colazione fantastica, il personale molto gentile ed il prezzo molto buono per essere in Norvegia in un 4 stelle. Ci è costato molto di più un soggiorno in Ostello con bagno comune. La posizione è bellissima dal punto di vista naturalistico e panoramico purtroppo però è a mezz'ora dal centro (via metropolitana) e dopo l'ultima […] fermata ci sono 10 minuti da fare in salita.. non è tanto per la strada.. ma è che spessissimo piove, sia all'andata che al ritorno abbiamo bagnato tutti i bagagli. Meget fint beliggende hotel med fantastisk udsigt over Holmenkollen, Oslo og Oslofjorden. Hotellet er passet fornemt ind i terrænnet og er bygget i meget gedigne materialer. Værelset var fint, omend badeværelset var temmelig lille. Fin morgenmadsbuffet og god atmosfære på og omkring hotellet. Kun ca. 15 minutter i bil fra Oslo centrum.

hotel spettacolare, accessibile facilmente con auto, a circa 400 metri dalla stazione della metropolitana, a circan 800 m dal piu famoso ed antico trampolino di salto in alto , spettacolare comunque da vedere anche esternamente vista la sua maestosita, stanze grandi, colazione continentale abbondante e maestosa,non ci son le cose classiche dolci da […] mangiare da noi italiani ma possiamo tuttavia ovviare con marmellata e burro!hotel isolato ma immerso nella foresta, aria fresca anche a ferragosto e di giorno, circa 12-16 gradi il 15 agosto. situato a circa 550 metri sul livello del mare ed a 10 min in auto da oslo. essendo dislocato sulla collina antistante oslo. panorama 11 decimi. spettacolare ed unico., si vede tutto il fiordo norvegese, solo di panorama ne varrebbe la pena andare in questo hotel. spettacolare e dunico anche scendendo a pochi metri dall hotel stesso. supermercati accessibili solo con autovetture e non a piedi vista la distanza dell hotel . stanze pulite confortevoli e grandi come anche il bagno con vasca ma ovviamente assenza di bidet. acqua disponibile in varie parti dell hotel essendo anche un centro conferenze con diverse sale, cosi come anche il caffe cappuccini ed altro in macchinette automatiche gratuite. verde ben curato all esterno . presenza della piscina ma penso poco utilizzata visto che era coperta con il telo il 15 agosto penso da diversi giorni, vista la situazione. strada per accedere molto facile anche se priva di spigazioni quindi armatevi di un bel navigatore. soggiorno ottimo anche perche se riuscite a prendere delle offerte vantaggiose come le ho prese io per 3 notti ad un prezzo stacciatissimo vi accorgerete che ne varra la pena vista la vita molto cara (per via della forza della corona norvegese sull euro) della citta'n prezzi esorbitanti per noi meridionali ma anche per gli italiani. piu del doppio tutto cio che bisognava comprare .... una buona vacanza chi ci andra e soprattutto buon soggiorno in questo fantastico pulito e co Mehr
