The Dunes was a great place to stay; spacious room, well appointed and nice pool area. Location was convenient for visiting Palm Desert with easy access off the I-10. The only minor drawback was the noise of the ventilation fan just outside the unit.

The Dunes was absolutely fabulous. We had one minor issue w/key operation which was addressed immediately, after hours, through the emergency contact number. And when we checked out, it was all apologies for the inconvenience. The resort was fabulous. The desk staff was as warm and friendly as could be. We had an orange tree right outside of our back […] door, which, by the way, led directly to the pool and other fruit trees. Unfortunately, we came when it was an unusual 65 degrees so we missed out on the pool. The hotel is located very close to everything you need. Shopping, restaurants etc... Word of advice: If you are planning to try the Dunes, do it soon. All of the hotel suites are being sold and will be utilized as time shares by the end of 2011. Do Not miss out on this experience. really good

We almost turned around but the security guard at the check in station said that we were at the right place. It is a secured gated country club. The condo is very nice, just like it appears on the hotels.com site. The whole experience was great!! The bed was so comfortable. We would definitely stay here again. It is about a 15 minute drive to Rancho […] Mirage if you hop on the freeway. Thanks, hotels.com you have never let us down yet. Mehr

They are turning this hotel in to a time share some time next year. My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Dunes. The room was worth more than we paid. It is basically what it says, a roomy studio apartment. We made use of the mini fridge, the coffee maker, flat screen TV, DVD player and the microwave oven. The bed was huge however they could use some […] better pillows. Bring your own if you can. Also the doors separating our room from the room next door seemingly amplified the sound of their TV rather than muted it. Luckily we bring a white noise machine with us and that drowned out the sound so we could sleep. The room was very modern with slate floors and a nice shower. The floors were a little chilly on the bare feet in the morning. There is a huge walk in closet to store luggage or whatever else you may have. We had everything we needed for our overnight stay. There may be flashier, bigger hotels in the area but for an over night stay this place was perfect. Mehr

Our stay at the Dunes was Great! It is VERY clean,inside & out.Comfy bed & pillows. New l.c.d. T.V. We used the new-big bbq. one night. At night the fire pit near the pool was great. Jacuzzi was warm & nice.

Superb place! Unfortunately we have learned that they will be selling all their rooms as a 1/12 ownership (similar to time share).That's too bad! We have to ty to find a substitute for it.

We stayed in a studio room with the kitchenette. We really enjoyed the quietness and calmness of the Dunes. Having a kitchenette was great too. Each unit has their own stainless steel BBQ so we were able to enjoy a nice steak on the "Barbie" one night for dinner. The one thing that could have been better is the cleanliness of the pool as there were […] a lot of bugs in it. We used the pool for three days and the skimmer must not have been working because each day the pool had just as many bugs as as the day before! Other than that we really enjoyed our stay at the Dunes and would definitely return. Mehr

For the money the room was a wonderful deal. For all the things they list as amenities just realize that you are on your own once you check in. Outside of the swimming pool they offer no other services so any attempts they put in writing to let you think they have activities to offer is just not available. The Bermuda Dunes Golf Course is just yards […] away but you are not allowed to be anywhere near the course. In fact there check-in literature tells you to not walk near the course for your safety and because it is trespassing on private property so there must be some kind of falling out with this hotel and surrounding neighborhood even though everyone shares the same gated entrance. This is not your typical high-rise hotel. Everything said by the other reviewers and hotels.com is accurate; the rooms are spacious, clean, and modern. The kitchenette is a nice touch, and the outdoor grills in front of each unit should be taken advantage of! There are 3 grocery stores within a mile--buy some steaks and sides, and a bottle or two of […] wine, and relax and enjoy! The location of the hotel is a little out of the way (2-3 miles to shopping, movies, etc) but it is so quiet and calm its worth it. This was my 4th stay at the Dunes and it never disappoints. this place is great. Not really a hotel, more like individual studio apartments with your own patio and grill... It was wonderful

Really nice rooms but there were two things I didn't care for. 1) The pool was dirty 2) The shower heads need to be changed. They hurt when the water comes out and you can't adjust.

a gem in the desert - beautiful.

This is an excellent resort. We enjoyed the suite facilities which were very well serviced every day. It is a quiet location but was very convenient for golf, shopping and dining out. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

I was extremely pleased with the Dunes. First, the location was very close to my business destination; closer than any other hotel of the same caliber in the area. Second, the place was recently remodeled, so it was comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. Third, considering the value, the hotel was reasonably priced.

I loved the Dunes, so nice & comfy. A nice and quite place to stay, this was my second stay and will do it again. The only issue I had was not being able to hook up to the WIFI, and that wouldn't sway my decision NOT to stay there.

Outstanding value, especially through hotels.com. They are redoing their main gate and the alternate entrance gate was not well marked and difficult to find after sunset. Otherwise, everything was great.

This room was a great bargain. It was clean, spacious and well-appointed. The studio unit we stayed in looked as if it had been recently refurbished and had a very well-equipped kitchenette, a pleasant sitting area and an outdoor gas grill. We'll stay there again anytime we are in the area.

This is the third tme I have stayed at the Dunes. It is my favorite place in the Palm Desert area. Everything is always perfect and the staff is very friendly. It is always very quiet and I feel like it is my private oasis in the desert. It is a great deal for the money - especially off--season. I will be sad to see it totally converted to a time share […] property. The staff said they didn't expect that to happen any time soon though. Mehr

After getting a good deal on the resort I was wondering what was up. How could a place this good be so cheap? Well it was worth it. Check-in was quick and to the point. They were very friendly and gave additional info based off my questions of the area. The complex and room are a bit older but are in great shape overall. Upon getting into my room there […] was a puddle of water next to the back door (due to the days heavy and windy rain). They quickly sent someone over to clean it up and left a few extra towels just in case. We never needed them. It was a very relaxing place to stay and the place was peaceful, like being home and getting to relax. A place like this is hard to find while traveling. Mehr

Quiet, nice rooms, the patios and BBQs were a nice touch. It's a bit far from downtown Palm Springs, but that's not such a bad thing. You'll need a car to access everything in the Valley. Definitely recommend it.

Amazing room, Big flatscreen tv. The kitchenette was well stocked with nice dishes, silverware, knives, etc. A very nice place. Only downfall- looks like somebody skimped on the drywall work, some rough visible seems but nothing to bad. I would be thrilled to stay there again.

Beautiful room with barbecue, table and chairs outside each room to cook or have coffee and drinks. Lovely pool and hot tub with manicured garden area. Easy access to I-10 for site seeing, shopping or casinos. Quiet and comfortable for a very reasonable price. Wish we had planned to stay longer.

WOW! What a pleasant surprise! We were traveling and dog tired. When we walked up to the door of this room we were absolutely blown away! I wish my bedroom at home was this nice! This room has a kitchenette that even includes a dishwasher! There's a dining table, flat screen TV with a comfy couch, writing desk with complimentary internet, and a King […] sized bed with down pillows and down comforter. It was so comfortable that I passed out the minute my head melted into the pillow. Also, each room had it's own patio with a table and private Bar-b-que grill! It is located inside the gates of a golf and country club with a security entrance. Even though it was confusing to find from the freeway, it was WELL worth the effort. We will definitely be staying there again-hopefully soon! Mehr

I booked a Jr Suite which was great. Everything was clean and fresh with very sleek decor. Grounds were nice and the semi-private patio area a wonderful added bonus.

From the outside and when first entering the room this is a very nice hotel/motel style apartment. However, this is the 3rd time I have stayed here, and all 3 times I had to wait while staff was out, to check in or to check out. I was there during "normal hours" but there is not such a thing with this resort. During the most recent stay, I smelled what […] seemed to be a floral pesticide in the bathroom, not until I saw small roaches in the shower 2 days in a row did I realize they have an issue. I hope they take care of this soon. Mehr

Top notch room in the Bermuda Dunes Country Club. Looks like converted apartments but much upgraded. The only downside is that the location isn't really near anything such as restaurants. Still well worth a stay.

Limited management to assist with late check-in or problems that occur after hours. My room upon first sight was great, however, as I needed to use some of the amenities they were not available. DVD player not working, mcrowave not working and no soap for the dishwasher or even to wash dishes in a sink.The beautiful BBQ on the patio didn't work either. […] The neighbors could be heard as though they were in the same room. It is in a great setting and is very intimate, I would stay again if everything gets fixed. Mehr

This was our third time at the Dunes, and each time has been extremely relaxing and enjoyable. Great decor, a friendly staff, and a quiet atmosphere make the Dunes a favorite. If you want a nice room with minimal tourist traffic, this is the place for you.

We stayed at the dunes for two days, at their Studio Unit. The Hotel is exceptionally nice for the price we paid. We were there during August 2009, and the weather was really hot and dry. As such there are not much amenities outside your room. But the room itself is really comfortable. The studio has a huge king size bed and a sofa bed, a nice table, […] microwave and a fridge. There is a grill outside. The outside patio facing the pool is really nice and a good place to hangout when the weather is nice. The place is very private and is adjacent to the The Dunes Community and golf course. In about a mile, there is a Ralphs, Albertsons and Walgreens. The intersection is Washington and 42nd avenue. However, this place is quite a ways from the Aerial Tramway. Mehr

We love The Dunes! My husband and I go to The Dunes for a peaceful quiet retreat. The rooms are beautiful and the pool area is always peaceful and quiet. A great place to refresh and recharge!

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. Our trip was perfect. The room was great, the pool was great, and the staff was unbelievable. We even ended up staying for two extra nights. I will definitely be going back there! Thanks for a great little getaway, The Dunes!

I have been staying at a relatives house for years in Bermuda Dunes. This experience showed me that The Dunes is stepping up and getting with the times. The rooms decor and feel was just what I look for in a hotel. Nice, clean and modern. I only hoped there would have been a bar tender at the pool!

Excellent value... rooms were large, clean and modern; outdoor BBQ was a nice touch.

I would bring my wife and couple grand children here for a 4-5 day week. Or invite client couples to this venue. It is top rate and expresses the beauty of Palm Springs!
