Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen, da hat die Baustelle im Eingangsbereich nicht gestört. Die Frerundlichkeit der Mirtrarbeiter hat das ausgelichen. Die zentrale Lage ist sehr gut. Die Atmosphäre am Plaz und in der Stadt wa r wunderbar.

Unfortunately I was put in a room where air conditioner did not work at all. However I heard other people compalining about AC in their rooms. the location is great , just make sure your AC works

I was here to work and the WiFi was a very important part for me so that I could work from the hotel room. But the WiFi did not work at all and the staff showed very little interest in helping me. The staff at the Grand Hotel Praha was very helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable, and it's extremely easy to get to all of the major tourist sites from this hotel. AVOID THIS HOTLE! I'm sorry to say this hotel almost ruined my vacation in Prague. The hotel is split into 2 buildings, an ok one with an elevator, restaurant, lobby, and then there's the horrible one with a laberinth of stairs. We got stuck on the horrible one. Located on the main square, this is the perfect location. From the hotel you can walk the whole city of Prague. The rooms were beautiful and the included breakfast was decent. Very good value and if I end up in Prague again, no question this is where I book.

This is a massive old style hotel which runs almost the length of the small block it entails, directly across from the astronomical clock tower. The location is perfect for sightseeing, and quite wonderful except for two main issues here: at night, the people are quite loud and unruly until about 2 or 3 am, especially on the weekends. You won't want […] to be walking around much past 10 PM unless you are young and adventurous. For better sleeping, try to find a hotel which is off of the main square on a small street or walk path. Grand Hotel Praha has very loud street traffic. The second reason that you might not want to stay here is that there are a series of outdoor restaurants directly under the hotel with tents outside and they use heating lamps to add to the scenery and "flavor" of the place. They are quite beautiful there, but those lamps operate off of some sort of carbon fuel, so you are constantly being assaulted with the fumes, either of the burning smoke, or of the torch oil itself, if your room faces the clock tower. They were having a smog problem when I was there, which is supposed to be frequent. The third reason you might not want to stay here is that the hotel has steps, even to the elevator, so if you are really handicapped, this is not the hotel for you as well. In certain parts of the hotel, there are no stairs at all for reaching your room, although some of those rooms will give you the best possible view of the clock tower and the Kafka house. The fourth reason you might not want to stay here is that the television service is not reliable. It broke down for 4 days straight and their cable company didn't fix it until after the weekend was over. The fifth reason you might not want to stay here is that the internet in the hotel is extremely slow, and in some instances, non-existent. It will not allow you the access you need to get reservations made because it frequently times-out and then re-sets as well. If you need to Skype, you are in trouble here Mehr

We just returned from Prague, and not only did we love everything about our visit, but we were so happy that we chose the Grand Hotel Praha. This hotel is a great value for the LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION! It is in the heart of the Old Town Square (absolutely beautiful - almost surreal) and directly across from the astronomical clock (you cannot stay […] any closer)! The hotel's own sidewalk cafe is only a few yards away from the clock, and the dining room where the complimentary breakfast buffet is served is one floor up with a bird's eye view over the entire square and clock. The breakfast buffet has many hot and cold items, and you will not leave hungry! The rooms are clean, comfortable, very large (furnished with antiques), and the bathroom is enormous. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. This hotel is only yards away from where many of the tours start, and it is easy walking distance to many other must-see sights, great dining, and great shopping! Don't miss out on the convenience and stunning surroundings of this "little gem" in Old Town Square. Once again - LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION! We stayed one night on our way back to Germany. The location is perfect for seeing all of the main sights around the Old Main Square (it faces the Astronomical Clock) and is a short walk to the Charles Bridge and Little Quarter across the bridge. Our only complaint was the bed was very hard, which is not unusual for Europe. An excellent breakfast buffet was included and we were given a discount card for the hotel's restaurants and bars for 20% off. The hotel also arranged for a driver to take us to the airport the next day (flat rate 700 CZK) Everything is a lot more expensive around the square (even the street food kiosks are surprisingly pricey). You can find much better food and drink bargains across the Charles Bridge in the Little Quarter or in areas a few blocks off the square. Mehr

You can't beat the location. Rooms are clean and nice, friendly stuff. Didn't try the restaurant tho. If you like to sleep in it could be a little loud in the morning, if not you can't go wrong with this hotel!

The location is *fantastic*. Doesn't get better. Had the view of the clock not been obscured by not only scaffolding and netting but also a giant advertisement... it would have been amazing. Great location on Old City Square. Make sure to get a back room. We had one and were not disturbed by noise. The front desk was helpful and extremely nice. Breakfast buffet was generous and the room and service excellent.

We visited Prague in June 2011. The location was great, the room was large and very comfortable, and the staff was outstanding. The breakfast buffet was small, but we always got plenty to eat. We also got a discount card with our room for restaurants in the hotel and in the Old Town Square. If you want to eat there you will want to use the discount […] card because prices on the square are high. However, if you walk just a couple of blocks you can get much better prices. The hotel is on the pedestrian part of the square, so your cab cannot pull up to the front door. The walk is less than 100 yards and the hotel staff will help you with your luggage. Mehr

Our room was an attic room with large concrete beams running on an angle from the floor to the ceiling. This made moving around the already quite small room very difficult. My wife bumped her head on one. The room was pretty clean and the bed comfortable. The hotels location is great if you like to be right near the busy old-town square.

The hotel location was fantastic, the personnel very helpful and spoke several languages. I would use this hotel next time I visit Prague and recommend it to my friends.

This is a small hotel located right across the Astronomical Clock. Location wise it is unbeatable; it is extremely convenient to all the places of interest in the Old Town. The […] bed was comfortable and facilities very clean. If you are looking for a quite hotel with large rooms and a lot of facilities this is not the place to stay. Our room was located on the second floor with a window opening into a back alley were garbage was pickup at night and early morning hours, so lots of noise from trash bins being pulled on cobble stones with the window open. But once the window was close the noise was reduced considerably. Staying at this hotel is a tradeoff between quietness and convenience/accessibility and price. For us it worked well since we wanted to be able to walk to everywhere and did not plan to spend a lot of time in the room. Breakfast buffet was pretty complete. Although not a supersized buffet it has pretty much everything from fried eggs, bacon, cheese, fruit salad, yoghurt, pastries, cereal, etc. You will not walk out hungry and the quality is good. The cafés below the hotel have good food but a bit pricy due to its location which is understandable. Entrance to the hotel is between Grand Café Praha and another restaurant so it is not visible from a distance but it is less than 10 steps right across from the Clock so it is easy to find. If you have only a few days in Prague then this is the place to stay since you get easy access to all there is to see at a reasonable price. But if you are going for leisure time and want to spend a lot of time in the hotel to relax then look somewhere else outside of Old Town. If going to the hotel by metro you take the Green Line and get off at Staroměstský stop, walk out of station and turn right and walk along the street for about 3-5 minutes and your Mehr

We really enjoyed our stay at the Grand Hotel Prague. The location of the hotel was unbeatable - immediately across from the astronomical clock in the Old Town Square and easy walking distance to most of the sites in Prague. The hotel was spotless, room was very comfortable, and breakfast was great (good selection of hot and cold items plus omelettes […] to order). During our stay in Prague in early July, the city was fairly hot (85-90 degrees F) and humid and it was always a pleasure to come back to our cool, air-conditioned room. If being in the middle of town is important to you then this is a good place to stay. But, within say 2Km, including over the Vtlava in the "Little Quarter" there are tons of probably nicer hotels and less expensive. Taxis in Prague are quite risky and pricing very inconsistant. I was offered from 500Kr - 1000Kr for the 3Km cab ride. It was raining & we didn't know what to do. Hotellet har flott beliggenhet i sentrum av gamle byen,hjelpsomt personell / stab. Mengder av folk som oppholder seg i nærheten da den berømte klokken ligger på samme plass, dette medførte faktisk ikke til noe generende støy, Hotellet ligger veldig sentralt til alle de største serverdigheter. Reiste med min eldre mor, det stod at det var heis på hotellet. I resepsjonen var det heis, men der vi hadde fått rom mått vi inn i et annet bygg og gå en labyrint med trapper både opp og ned og det var ikke tilgang til heis. Tilslutt fikk vi ett nytt rom, i samme bygg, men med litt mindre trapper. Ikke så veldig fornøyd.

Jättetrevligt hotell med Prags torg i gamla staden rakt utanför dörren. Mitt emot astronomiska uret. (och ett besök i klocktornet är ett måste, vilken utsikt). Enda missen är att i beskrivningen framgår att alla rum är mot staden, men superiorrummen ligger mot innerbakgård. Hotellet ligger i hjertet av Praha - Old Town Square. Beliggenheten er den beste, men resepsjonen er i et bygg ved siden av. Hotellet er også under renovering, og det var veldig kronglete å komme seg til rommet. - rene labyrinten.

We were placed in the second building, and from the entrance it took 4 minutes of hallway-walking before we came to the room. Service was non existing.

The hotel was excellent on: - Location (maximun central) - Style - Service It was good value for money

　主な観光地の真ん中に有り、公共の交通機関は使わずに、全て徒歩で観光することが出来ました。ウィーンから列車でプラハに入りましたが、プラハ中央駅からホテルまでは荷物をころがしながら徒歩で１５分ほどでした。プラハ城までは街をぶらぶら歩きながら２０分ほどで到着です。 　ホテルの窓から有名な天文時計が目の前に見えます。しかしホテルが改修中で足場が掛かって、網のシートで全体を覆われていたため、良く見えなかったのが残念です。 　帰りのホテルからプラハ空港まではホテルタクシーを予約して利用しました。少し割高ですが定額なので安心です。一般のタクシーは料金のトラブルがよくあるとのことです。ホテルからタクシーが待っている所まではホテルのベルボーイが荷物を持って案内してくれます。

Veldig bra hotell, litt gammeldags men sjarmerende. Vær klar over at de "oppgraderer" deg til større rum, men i en annen bygning - i 3. etasje uten heis. Med vonde knær er det ikke helt ideelt. Allt i allt et meget bra hotell.

Antes de reservar en este hotel leí varios comentarios negativos relacionados con dos puntos: está en un lugar ruidoso y es difícil encontrar el hotel porque está en medio de varios comercios y la recepción está en un segundo piso. Ambos comentarios son ciertos pero no necesariamente son puntos negativos. - El hotel si está en una zona ruidosa (justo […] frente el Reloj Astronómico), llena de comercios, restaurantes, tiendas de souvenirs, etc. pero en las habitaciones no se escucha absolutamente nada. Supongo las construcciones antiguas son de paredes gruesas que actuan como aisladores naturales de ruido. Dentro del hotel no se escucha el ruido de la calle. - El hotel si está en un segundo piso (la recepción) pero si tienes la dirección no hay pierde. Además afuera esta claramente señalado el nombre del hotel. La mejor indicación para llegar al hotel sin confundirse es simple: es el único hotel ubicado justo frente al Reloj Astronómico. PROS del Hotel: 1. Inmejorable ubicación, justo en el centro de Praga. Desde ahí se puede recorrer caminando prácticamente todas las principales atracciones turísticas. 2. Buen servicio del personal. Son atentos a cualquier petición, y una de las recepcionistas es cubana por lo que te atiende en español perfecto. 3. Buen restaurante (instalaciones). 4. Te dan una tarjeta de descuentos de los restaurantes y tiendas de la cadena. La tarjeta funciona, la usamos una noche en un restaurant de ellos ubicado a un costado del hotel, y nos topamos cenando al PRESIDENTE de la República Checa! 5. Internet y desayuno americano incluido. CONTRAS: 1. Las habitaciones son pequeñas, difícil poner las maletas abiertas sin ocupar obligadamente la cama. 2. El precio pagado aunque no es caro me pareció por encima de lo que el hotel ofrece (particularmente por el tamaño de las habitaciones), aunque el servicio es muy bueno y la ubicación de primera. 3.
