"Redcastle Hotel - within 20km of Derry City"
Found hotel pretty average. I selected it based on proximity to Derry City for shopping in N.Ireland and fitted the bill on that count. Room was very large but seem to be lacking a little maintenance with scuff marks on doors and some tile grout missing. The room we stayed in had a velux roof-light that was very noisy when it rained. The double bed […] was 2 single beds pushed together. Food in the restaurant was delicious but pricey. Got a very nice dinner in a pub in Moville on our 2nd night for half the price. Overall found it to be a 3-star hotel on 4-star prices. Mehr

Fantastic hotel would highly recommend it staff very friendly & helpful, would go back. Only downside was we couldn't get anything to eat in Moville after 9pm not very visitor friendly, not affected by the resession didn't want buisness in the height of the tourist seasion, but the barman at hotel arranged something for us. well done went down a treat […] thanks again. Our second visit to Redcastle, comfort and food good. Staff pleasant and friendly. Lorraine and Lisa very helpfull when we had a car crisis. Taped background music pleasant and non intrusive, but became monotonous when we heard the same tape in the bar , evening in dining room, and again at breakfast.

The room quality on this hotel is not 4 star in my opinion. I stayed and the Carlton located at Dublin Airport. It was much nicer than this location. It's a great location with the ocean and golf course, but the rooms themselves are old in my opinion.

The hotel building itself and the surroundings and setting are just breathtakingly gorgeous. The staff was friendly and helpful. The first room we were given smelled like cigarette smoke, but we were given another oom that was satisfactory. The TV was small by American standards. It was a nuisance to have to ask the front desk to turn on the heat every […] day. The restaurant staff could not have been better and we had some of the finest meals of our trip there. "Enjoyable experience."
We were staying for one night for a friends wedding and found the hotel to be very comfortable and clean with all the facilities we could require in our room. We had booked for a double room and got a nice suprise when they had upgraded us to a suite room free of charge. The only downside to the room would be if you like to watch tv as the tv was only […] a very small portable and so far from the bed you would need binoculars to see it. Overall a very enjoyable stay with the staff being very helpful and would recommend a stay at the hotel. Mehr

Two nights in Movile cost us the equivalent of one in other hotels we stayed in on the north coast. Great base from which to explore the Inishowen Peninsula and the gym and pool are great to have before or after a long day driving. The room was very large and comfortable although in need of a little TLC. Also, the water was only lukewarm in the shower […] and bath which made the presence of a jacuzzi system in the bathroom useless. We didn't eat breakfast or dinner here so can't comment on the food. "Nice place but could be better"
The hotel is in a beautiful location and our evening meal was delicious. Its worth booking a meal for the view over Lough Foyle alone! They seemed somewhat short staffed. Slightly dissappointed with our room. Water had got under a loose tile in the bathroom floor leaving it constantly wet, and one side of the bed was clearly broken. Didn't request a […] move as we were only there for one night, but we may just have been unlucky as overall the hotel seems very nice. Mehr
