This hotel is conveniently located in the Colonial Zone and is in easy walking distance to many of the historical monuments in Santo Domingo. The service was excellent and the breakfast (included in the price) was a definite plus. I would gladly stay at this hotel again.

A customer service excellent. A clean environment and very nice and a very good location in the colonial zone.

This hotel is central to the old town in Santo Domingo. The hotel itself is an historical site. It has been updated nicely while retaining the historical feel. Nice rooms and nice common areas. Resturaunt was good without being too pricey. Overall, great place to stay if you are not right on the beach in the DR.

it was torture to realize that it was time to check out. breakfast in the courtyard, a swim in the pool with morning cappuccino, a stroll through the colonial zona all arounda us with very nice choinces for dining in several resturant pockets made this a heavenly stay. just be careful to have a sense of direction or a taxi who can get you through […] the neighboring barios, or just stay calm with the many potentials for a wrong turn. we passed some burning rubish on the main road that made us think "bonfires of the vanitties". the staff is wonderful and plentiful. nearby history circa 1502 first church hospital in new world and on and on. spend 2 nights (we regrettibly spent only one) for a full day here before heading to your resort. what a bargain ! I was just a bit disturbed by the treatment of the some of the hotel staff, particularly when I noticed courtesys extended to other patron who did not look like me. As a brown skinned person, this is always particularly disturbing when the treatment comes from someone who looks like me.

This hotel was amazing!!! It made my trip to SD. The hotel itself is on the top 10 sites to see. It is BEAUTIFUL; the staff is friendly and always smiling. The pool is great. The food is amazing. I could have spent the whole trip at the hotel and never left!!! This is the ONLY place to stay in SD....period. You will NOT be disappointed. Oh, and I highly […] recommend their buffet breakfast!! this is a beautiful, historic property and I stayed here on business to check it out for a possible week stay for my wife and I. My assigned room was the 1st one, first floor near the bar and lobby and noisy. I asked for a quieter location an hour after checking in and was told the hotel was full. At dinner in the hotel restaurant, I asked the waiter […] about the hotel occupancey and he said it was at best 40%. Lovely colonial throw back to the glorious days

Colonial. Everything was crisp and clean, and the staff was very helpful. We were sorely tempted to use the pool, but we just ran out of time. The public spaces were very comfortable, and we were had a fast and free Internet. connection. This hotel is a calm haven in what can be a very noisy city.

Clean and beautiful rooms. Service was excellent. Front desk personnel was very helpful in giving sightseeing instructions. The only issue was the bed. Mattress not confortable at all and the hotel restaurant was not what I was expecting. Overall a 4.

Beautiful building, clean and comfortable room (though the mattress was a bit firm for my taste), and extremely polite and helpful staff. Be advised that the hotel is about a ~$40 taxi ride from the airport.

hotel de tres grande classe belle decoration interieure piscine superbe.cependant pour l'atmosphère "coloniale" on prefere le Frances, nettement moins cher mais un peu moins bien situé bemol:reception un peu "guindée"qui a cru devoir nous demander le N° de carte bancaire pour un sejour deja payé!!

Hotel de charme dont toutes les chambres ne sont pas du même confort. Attention au moment de la réservation. Petit déjeuner hors de prix même si il est de qualité. Personnel très (trop?) professionnel. Musique au bar et à la piscine incessante et épuisante.

he estado con mi esposa, que es dominicana en mas de un hotel de santo domingo y creanme que es el mejor y mas distinguido hotel del pais, por ahora, en cuanto a calidad y distincion. Het hotel is een heel mooi klooster monument in prachtige staat. Perfecte ligging midden tussen alle musea in dezelfde straat en tussen de twee toeristische pleinen. Juist in het toeristisch gebied rond het hotel is het veilig. Parkeren was goed en gratis. Het hotel verdient terecht vijfsterren. Drankjes hebben uiteraard 5-sterrenprijzen. Uitgesproken […] goed onbijt met kleine keuze, zoals verse zalm, ei, fruit. Het hotel heeft toch wel het soort publiek en de uitstraling van een keurig rustig Business Hilton, maar voor een paar dagen in de hoofdstad is het voor ons een topkeuze geweest. Mehr
