Harrahs New Orleans Casino & Hotel - New Orleans

I grew up in New Orleans and was very excited to have a chance to be a tourist. Harrahs was not worth the cost. Yes, the room was clean and quite..but some of the rooms actually have windows that face the parking lot...yes the parking lot. We were first given a room that had the parking lot view. The bed was not comfortable, there was no desk to work […] from, they charged $11 day to use the internet, parking was $30 a day unless you played in the casino for 30 minutes. Unless you are an amazing gambler the risk it not worth it. House cleaning forgot to leave shampoo in our room three out of 6 days during our day. Mehr

Everything was great except both rooms were handicap rooms. If that was all that was available I would understand but the front desk didn't notify us. We didn't complain but it was inconvenient because the shower water went all over the bathroom floor. Also one room didn't have a tub. If not for that the hotel would have received all 5's. Do not stay here unless you are a member of there club. If you don't gamble do not bother. I arrived at the hotel at 3:30 and our room was not ready and they said they would call us when it was ready. This was fine until I sat there and watched no less than 25 people check in after we did and immediately get their room. After sitting waiting for some […] time I asked if our room was ready they checked and it was. Did they let us know???...NO! I then asked to talk to the manager who informed me that the reason those people got their rooms first was becasue they were gamblers in the casino. So, in other words my business is not important becase I do not gamble, The room was nice and the valet parking attendants were very nice, however, front desk and management associates need to learn the meaning of customer service. I'm a bit of a hotel snob, and I have no complaints about the hotel. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were nice, and the location is great. I highly recommend this hotel.

Very good hotel. The hotel workers were very friendly. Service was first rate. The room decor was nice.

The rates were great and the services was outstanding. Thats from parking the truck to check-in and checking - out. The room services was right on time. The staff was very professional.

I wish they had breakfast as part of the room rate.

This hotel was absolutely beautiful. Make sure you get a suite as there is so much room. I would definitely stay there again. The casino across the street is very handy for meals and coffee. We have been traveling all over the world and this one was certainly our favorite.

Had to wait for check-in; room wasn't ready even at 6:00pm, so I complained and did get upgraded to a Suite. Pull-out sofa bed wasn't the most comfortable though. Nice hotel; staff very friendly. The quality of the food at the buffet is sub-par. I was very disappointed in the dinner buffet. Breakfast buffet wasn't much better. Save your money; eat  […] elsewhere. Mehr

STAYING HERE WAS A TREMENDOUS EXPERIENCE IN ALL AREAS. WE HAVE BEEN FORTUNATE TO TRAVEL ALL OVER THE WORLD AND WE HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING CLOSE TO THE COURTESY, HOSPITALITY, AND EFFICIENCY THAT WE RECEIVED HERE AT HARRAH'S.

Nicest and most helpful hotel staff. We travel frequently and this was a very pleasant experience.

everything was great at my stay. exceeded my expectations.the only problem,concerning parking i was not aware that you have to swipe your rewards card each day to recieve free parking.

I've been to many Harrah's....this has them all beat! Boutique Hotel feeling...personal attention, concern, and immaculate...great room, wonderful bathroom..from Elizabeth at desk to Willie and Sybil on Casino floor...what a first class experience..already recommended it all the way back home.....!! First time at Harrah's Hotel and Casino was a great experience. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Walking through the Front Desk, and entrance, I was always greeted. The hotel director was also presence who greeted me and my guest. Stayed in many hotels in New Orleans and this will be my stay again.

Great location, easy walk to French Quarter and the casino. Loved the spacious bat with great separate shower and tub....spacious and new.

except i wished it would have been noted some where that the hotel is not attached to the casino.... the casino is accross the road !!!!!!!!... also i thought it was away out of the price range of the other casinos around it...... for this time of year? but all in all the staff was wonderful and especially helpful in evey way.........

The hotel was way overpriced probably because the French Quarter and surrounding areas were all sold out as a result of French Quarter Festival. Don't count on getting a wakeup call. I asked for one and it never came. As a backup,the night before, I requested that coffee be delivered at a certain time so if I overslept, I'd at least hear the knock on […] the door. The coffee was also half an hour late and she forgot the cream. Thank god I set my cell phone alarm as a third backup because I would have missed my meeting if I had counted on the hotel. The room decorations were supertacky--with a purple, velor bed cover because purple is Harrah's color. However, the room was also comfortable, quiet and clean. And I couldn't have asked for a better location. Mehr

Great hotel in a perfect location. The room was exceptional and the bathroom was amazing. Tunnel to the casino came in handy.

There are no hotel services here. There is no desk to use for business nor is there any room services. You must leave the hotel to eat unless you want an overpriced steak from Ruths Chris. The room is for sleeping much like casinos in Vegas. If you are there to gamble and sleep, you will like this hotel and I would recommend it but not for the business […] traveler. Mehr

This was the first time I stayed at this hotel, I was very pleased. Every staff member who I came across was very helpful and friendly. However, if you want breakfast in the hotel you have to order room service or you have to walk at least a block away.

Harra's in New Orleans is beautiful. With the casino on-site, and a short walking distance to Canal St, make this a must stay at hotel!!!!

ROOM WAS GREAT AND SO WAS SERVICE. VERY CLOSE TO PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING. WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN.

Hotel is very well appointed. The Casino is connected to hotel by underground hallway. close to French Quarters. but might need taxi in the heat. Casino has buffet but you can not eat there if you not over 21. Hotel restaurants where chain restaurants, and no n=many other choices around to eat at a late hour. Clean modern hotel with excellent service and convenient amenitites. Easy walk to the Convention Center and other area hotels and shopping. Fun city and fun location.

My sister and I were on a trip for pleasure. The hotel was very nice and clean (important to us). The room was immaculate and nicely done. The staff was helpful and personable. Definitely the best place to stay for the money. (P.S. Would definitely NOT eat at the buffet in the casino, the price was high and the food was bad!!)
