City Center Hotel managed by Pullman - Dubai

Staff is very nice and helpful. The location is very good and connected to the mall. The only problem I ran into is that the hotel was being renovated and there was distrubance during my stay. I had to wake up before 10 AM everyday becuase of the noise.

This hotel is going full renovation and if you stay there, you will need to bear with the working noise during the day and also I requested a non smoking room with was not available as only 2 floors were available and the room smell cigarettes... Where do I start? The hotel staff were excellent: helpful, friendly & very courteous. Now the bad bits: The hotel is in total refurbishment and needs to close whilst the work is undertaken. Drilling & banging that goes on constantly from 7:30am to 18:00pm. No hot water. Executive lounge closed even though the web site still mentions it as a selling […] point. Main lifts don't work, used grotty service lifts for the first week. Breakfast: opens at 0630am but the chef to cook eggs was never there until 0715. Had to continually ask for more than 1 cup of coffee at breakfast. Would I stay here again....when it's finished (over a year away). Mehr

Hotel has a great location and under normal circumstances, I would readily recommend it (and would stay there again), BUT it is presently under rennovation and its quality has been severly compromised accordingly. Overall I ws very pleased with my stay here, the bed was very comfortable and the service was more than comporable. I recommend this hotel! The breakfast buffet was excellent!!!!

We were quite angry when arriving and finding out, that this hotel, doesn’t have 5 stars but only 4. We guess the service and quality would more or less be the same as a 5 star hotel stay but it's the principle... We even used Hotels.com search engine to only show us 5 star hotels in Dubai... guess it didn't work.... We stayed at an Executive room, […] which means that you get one of the rooms on the 9-11 floor, that you get access to the executive lounge during the whole day and that you have free internet. This is the third time I've stayed here, and was not disappointed. I chose this hotel because of the attached City Centre Mall and dining options. Did not have to go out in the summer heat to shop or eat. The only problem experienced was that I had to wait approx 1 hour for check-in...and it was at 7:00 p.m. The breakfast was wonderful. I've traveled to Dubai on four occasions within the past year. This summer I decided to try break away from my usual hotels and venture out and try the Apartment suites of the City Centre Hotel & Residence. I needed a room for only one night so I said to myself "the City Centre Mall is nice so their hotel and residence rooms should be pretty good." […] NOT!!! Typically the hotels in Dubai are outstanding and the service superior. Unfortunately for me the Apartments of the City Centre Hotel and Residence fell tremendously short of Dubai's well earned reputation of excellence. When I checked in my room it had a smoker's scent to it. Second none of the staff could find me an adapter for my Mac laptop. While this may sound incidental, every other hotel I've used has such adapters and to ask for one is not a problem. Not at City Centre. The manager even told me that I would have to purchase one of my own! Finally someone realized that they did in fact have an adapter, however their first response was "no we don't have adapters for U.S. computers." Next, when I walked into my bathroom, there was standing water on the floor from a leaking toilet. I reported the matter. The manager said he would have someone look at it immediately. No one came. When I asked if I could move to another room or possibly acquire another room on the City Centre Hotel across the parking lot, I was informed that my request could not be filled. I reported the leaky toilet a second time and went out for a few hours to do some shopping. Upon my return I discovered the pool of leaky toilet water still on the floor. I reported it a third time and again the manger promised to send someone up. Well by checkout the next morning, the water was still on the floor and no repairman. Bottom line. THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE! DO NOT STAY IN THE CITY CENTRE RESIDENCE APARTMENTS! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, BAD MANAGEMENT, AND STINKY ROOMS. TRUST ME. READ AND HEED. OTHERWISE YOU WILL REGRET IT! Mehr

hot and cold water doesnt work properly in residence and in hotel. I stayed one night in residence which i didnt like at all. then i stayed two nights in hotel. drain was very bad as water doesnt go into sink pipe. washing next to WC was broken.

This is absolutely a 5-star hotel. Length of stay was six nights. Along with the rating, the prices in the hotel restaurant and pub are also high. Regardless, we elected to stay because it is attached to the City Centre Mall which allowed us to walk to the different restaurants in relative comfort.
