Lage und Service des Hotels haben uns sehr überzeugt. Das Hotel an sich ist sehr ansprechend aufgemacht und eingerichtet. Leider gab es einige Kleinigkeiten, die zum Punktabzug führten, wie z. B. alte Spinnweben am Fenster im Treppenaufgang, schimmelige Fugen im Bad, sich lösendes Furnier an der Badewannenverkleidung. Ansonsten wirkte das Haus und Zimmer schon sauber. Das Bad war etwas eng und unser Zimmer wäre besser eingerichtet gewesen, hätte es nur ein Kingsize-Bett gehabt und nicht noch ein weiteres Bett, dass mit in die Nische gequetscht wurde. So hätte man an beiden Seiten Platz für einen Nachttisch gehabt und man hätte von beiden Seiten Zugang zur jeweiligen Bettseite gehabt und man hätte nicht eine Betthälfte übers Fußende betreten/verlassen müssen. Die Einrichtung war allerdings sehr gemütlich und ansprechend. Passte zum Stil des Hauses. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war sehr gut.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer (Nr. 209) mit 2 Fensterfronten hofseitig und damit sehr ruhig; nach Rückdrehen der Heizung war auch das Zimmerklima angenehm, wenig Hellhörigkeit (wobei möglichlicherweise das Nachbarzimmer nicht belegt war) aber Zimmertüren fielen laut zu wenn man nicht händisch abfedert. In unserem Stock gab es nur eine Terrasse vor dem Zimmer, konnten wir aber nicht nutzen, da vom Zimmer her nur ausklappbare Fenster waren. In unserer Rate war Full Irish Breakfast inkludiert. Unser Zimmer wurde immer erst am Nachmittag gesäubert, da wir ohnehin unterwegs waren, nicht das große Problem. In Hotelnähe gibt ein paar Fastfoodläden, einen Supermarkt sowie Lidl und die Luas-Line, mit der man in ca. 40 Minuten ins Zentrum fahren kann, sonst nicht so umfangreiche Infrastruktur, aber wir hatten ein Mietauto und die Hotelgarage war für Gäste gratis. Im Hotel gibt es auch ein Fitnessstudio sowie Schwimmbad - haben wir nicht genutzt (Badehaubenpflicht, kann vor Ort gekauft werden) - ist aber auch öffentlich zugänglich. Restaurant haben wir abends nur für Drinks genutzt. Samstags wurde eine Geburtstagsparty abgehalten, obwohl nur 1 Stock unterhalb haben zumindest wir nichts mitbekommen, unser Zimmer war aber auch am Ende des Ganges. Personal sehr hilfsbereit (hatten Waren in den Hotelkühlschrank einlagern lassen und konnten die Bordkarten beim Internetdrucker nicht ausdrucken, so hat das die Receptionistin auf unsere Rückfrage hin für uns übernommen). Wir können aufgrund unserer Erfahrung das Hotel nur empfehlen und werden selbst auch wieder hinfahren.

Das Hotel ist ideal. Es ist super sauber, eine Nespressomaschine steht auf dem Zimmer, die S-Bahn fährt direkt hinter dem Block und der Flughafenbus hält direkt vor dem Hotel. Bis zur Grafton Street sind es gute 10 Minuten zu Fuß und zur O'Connell und Henry Street knapp 10 Minuten. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und frisch. Gute Auswahl, für jeden etwas dabei.

Wir finden, dies ist das beste Hotel, das man für das Erreichen eines extrem frühen Fliegers buchen kann. Das Personal ist im Kundenumgang versiert, die Zimmer sind komfortabel und groß, das kostenlose "Grab & Run" Frühstück angenehm ... alles in allem SEHR EMPFEHLENSWERT

"Gute Wahl"
Hotel ist sehr sauber, liegt ein bisschen weit von dem Centrum aber das hat hat uns nicht gestört. Was mich gestört war dass man das fenster nicht öffnen konnte , da alle "frische" Luft kommt über eine Klimaanlage. Aber am sonsten ist diese Hotel eine gute Wahl, das Frühstück ist exzellent und das Zimmer auch.

"City/Spa break in heart of Dublin"
Again had a great experience staying here. Beautiful room, very close to town, excellent value, fabulous breakfast in bed for not much extra,newspaper to room etc and most of all great spa so getting best of both city and spa break(which is quiet difficult so close to city centre) Would highly recommend it and looking forward to staying there again

"Lovely some minor changes to be done."
We stayed for three nights . A/c a problem as i stated to staff as rooms crazy hot ,however staff did bring fans which helped. Rooms tidy and clean i am a clean freak so checked rooms out . In room 137 nice room minor repairs to bath paint in tub ,handheld shower not working, was happy with everything else. I know stated here people said staff not […] nice we found the cleaning staff the best of the lot of them as we didnt want our room cleaned we asked for extra towels etc and all were very helpful. Staff at breakfast some very nice others pretend your not there . One of them we asked for tea and coffee and never saw her again did she leave the country to get it? Eggs would not touch didnt look nice at all at all rest of food lovely good job to the chefs but eggs needs to change . Staff at check in Ok many have said rude but in having a sister in law from poland we understood when they talk its very stern and serious and can seem unfriendly now i am sure they are some rude ones but felt that staff are a little serious but did a good job . Parking something needs to be worked on as had to wait for parking space.otherwise enjoyed it :) Mehr
The Hilton at Kilmainham was perfect for us as we were attending a party nearby. It's not city centre but not too far away, and lots of public transport but it is out a bit so bear this in mind but convenient to a lot of interesting places very well worth a visit - Kilmainham Prison - Kilmainham Hosptial Art Museum and the Phoenix Park and Dublin Zoo. "Hilton Kilmainham - noisy room"
I stayed in room 509 which is on the top floor and is beside a plant room which makes noise constantly. The noise feeds back into the room through the ventialtion system and it sounds like a very noisy fridge working constantly. I found it impossible to sleep through the night.

I found reception unhelpful and rude and was very disappointed with my stay not only were there crisps all over the floor outside the lifts the curtains in my room were dirty and overall was hugely disappointed with my stay i have often stayed in three star hotels with a better attitude and sense of pride in their premises

"Comfortable/A little far"
The hotel is nice for the money. Comfortable beds, it has a pool, the staff is nice. But it is a little far from the city center so if that is what you are wanting just keep that in mind.
"Best value in Dublin this summer"
The Hilton Great Getaway was extremely good value for money. You get a good breakfast along with Hilton's traditional standards. Only fault I had was regarding the inadequacy of the a/c in the hotel room. It seems to be a problem and our friends staying in another room also had issues with their a/c. Other than than, brilliant!

The staff were very helpful and friendly, and were quick to try and solve any problems we had. Unfortunately we had an issue with air conditioning in our room, and the portable air conditioner they brought in made our room into a rainforest and made it impossible to sleep well. The location was a bit far away from downtown, but not too far away from […] public transport, and was also very close to the Kilmainham Gaol. This hotel does not live up to the standards that usually characterize a little more expensive hotels. Service at reception is mediocre, the location too far from downtown. Airconditon did not work in any of the three rooms we had and they failed to repair it. The food served in the restaurant was far below average and the service was poor.
"Great Hotel off the beaten track"
The hotel was great, clean and roomy but well off the beaten track such that you had a 30 minute walk to town, or needed a cab. Get your walking shoes as cabs are expensive.

it was a super hotel - a bit out of the city center, but close to the jail and the museum of fine arts. we enjoyed our stay and relaxed in the nice hot tub, steam room and relaxation pools. the rooms were very clean and the beds were comfy. we enjoyed our stay :)

Great location, well appointed but waiting and night staff not at all helpful and careless particularly when taking orders. Water in bath either scalding or very scalding with no help available upon request. Dangerous.

This Hilton in enormous need of updating. Internet required daily changing of login and password. Wifi did not always work. Front desk staff rather reluctant to be of help; understaffed. Lobby floor dirty. Food not good. Location remote from tourist sights.

Fantastic hotel and great value for the money. The location is perfect for the tourist attractions and only a short taxi ride or bus ride away from the main centre. t was about €30 from the airport and €10 from the centre in a taxi (there were 6 of us sharing so the cost was not a problem). The rooms were clean and the breakfast was the highlight […] of my day - it was the best I've had in any hotel and all included in the price. The hotel has it's own taxi hire man called Brian, he is teriffic and a credit to the hotel, he's got a 6 seater merc and ran us where we wanted to go. Normally we always travel trying not to spend too much in hotels due to the lack of time that we spend there. However in this case I have to said that it was totally wrought it. The service, pool and breakfast were just outstanding. We have to said also that we were struggling with the battery of our camera and the lady front the desk was totally helpful […] , she lend us an electric adapter that just save our holidays. The location of the hotel it is also quite good it is not directly in the center of the city however there is a bus every 20 minutes that take you there. We recommend you to buy the three day bus ticket in the airport it save you plenty of money in the transport as well as include you the ride from the airport to a train station near the hotel. If we go again to Dublin we will definitely stay in this hotel!! So far the best relation between USD/hotel quality that i have found.. Mehr

This was my first time in a Hilton hotel. I looked forward to staying with you as we were up for Rugby match in the Aviva stadium - and were frozen - hence the need for a hot Port. My son and daughter told us to book into your hotel as they are living close by.
"Excellent Location"
Hotel was booked at the last minute. Location is perfect & serviced with bus routes and Luas to city centre. Taxi late from city was approx. €6.50. Rooms were well equipped and beds very comfortable. Very clean, spacious and bright. Staff were helpful and friendly. Great value for a hotel so near to all attractions. Will definitely stay here again. The most outstanding feature of this hotel was the friendly and attentive service by virtually all the staff we came into contact with. We commented often on how refreshingly professional everyone was, from the front desk, to the hotel bar/restaurant, to the cleaners. Our stay in Dublin was truly enhanced by the staff at the hotel.

My wife and I booked the hotel based on the online reviews and were not disappointed. From the reviews, we knew that the hotel was a fair distance from downtown Dublin, though the Guinness Storehouse acted as a reprieve and allowed us to "fuel up" for the rest of the walk. We found the hotel staff to be courteous and organized and our room was spacious […] and clean. The pool provided a nice way to unwind after a day of tourist activities, while the buffet breakfast the next morning got us ready for another day. My only criticism, and it's a small one, pertains to the quality/quantity of television channels. I was hoping to watch some PGA Championship golf coverage at night, but it was not available on the channels provided in the room. In a city where everything seemed expensive, the Hilton Dublin Kilmainham stood out as being incredible value, especially since we were able to book a rate that included the buffet breakfast. Mehr

"Excellent hotel very new clean and modern"
Lovely stay rooms great breakfast was good Although drinks prices were expensive in the bar they were on a par with drinks prices throughout Dublin and therefore for a hotel are very reasonable Great pool and gym facilities
"Top Class"
The Hilton Kilmainham was absolutely gorgeous. The beds were soooo comfortable, you just sink into them. Would definatlely stay here again, location was great. I don't usually go swimming in hotels but this pool was unreal, make sure you bring a swimsuit. Nothing negative to say here at all, loved it!!!!
"Won't be another year before we're back"
Stayed with my wife for our anniversary. We needed a little break and this was the perfect spot. Close to everything just what you need. Staff were very helpful especially the receptionist (can't remember his name But the wife said he was good looking).

Check in time was 15:00 and we arrived at 16:00. We were still waiting for a room at 18:00. The hotel let us use here leisure facility to freshen up but this was a poor attempt. the food was poor enough in spots(the breakfast was good )

My son and I booked in for a pop concert. Hotel is spotless as are the rooms, beds beautifully clean and comfy, probably the best hotel I have stayed in. Staff were brilliant ,helpful and polite. Nothing was a bother and when we left 4.00am for an early flight home, breakfast was prepared for us in the foyer with toast, cereal, fruit, yoghurt etc. The […] receptionist even sorted the taxi out when he had to wait for us for 10 mins and we didn't pay extra waiting time. "After A/C problems fixed - OUTSTANDING!"
The hotel was very accomodating and checked us in immediately upon arrival - and our flight got in at 8 am local time (I thought this was wonderful!). We were tired from our overnight flight and went straight to sleep. It was an important trip as this was a mother-daughter trip to Europe (Mom's first trip to Ireland). Our room turned out to have no […] air conditioning and Ireland was unseasonably warm. The next morning we asked at the front desk for help with the room and after a bit of difficulty with clerk, the manager came to our assistance. He moved us to an upgraded room, ensured the A/C was working, provided us with a balcony, robes, and fruit and water for our incovenience. Also, the hotel is ideally located across from Kilmainham Gaol which just happens to be on the double decker bus route as well as supported by a never-ending queue of taxis. Heuston Station is within walking distance - though I suggest a taxi due to traffic whizzing by. What else? The pool and spa at the Hilton Kilmainham is wonderfully relaxing. The staff at the gym/spa are helpful and friendly. For a nice nightcap and chat with the locals, walk across the street to the Patriot's Pub - good grub and great chats. When next I travel to Dublin, I'll happily stay at the Hilton Kilmainham. Mehr
"Expected more for the price (especially on last night there)"
We stayed in 4 different hotels while in Ireland. Our first and last night was booked at the Hilton. The first night was great, we got the room for a very good price, $77 for a saturday night and it included breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable and it was quiet. Finding it was a nightmare though but that's because driving in Dublin is a nightmare. […] You are much better off discovering the city on foot. Anyways, the last night was a thursday night and we paid $134! Very expensive but we thought well it's our last night and we should treat ourselves. Well I was upset in the morning because apparantely breakfast wasn't included. I don't know what the difference was from the first night and the last. Also parking was not included. That was another 10 euro plus the 40 for the breakfast! Ended up being a very expensive last night :( I wouldn't stay there again for that price. Also, if you're going to walk into the city centre wear comfortable shoes. I would recommend that instead of driving. Why aren't there any visible signs!!!!!! Mehr

The hotel was very nice, with great staff and the breakfast was fine for the classic hotel buffet. The staff even got us a taxi in the strike. We did get a great deal on the cost, which always makes it seem better. The hotel had a great spa pool, steam room and sauna. The only downside is that hotel was a bit far off the main area. We walked one […] day over three miles to the city. You can taxi for 10 euro or bus for 1.60 euro. There was an Italian restaurant next door that was fine for a dinner. Don't miss the good tour of the Gaul (prison) next door. Fascinating history. Dublin Castle also was a good tour. Skip the Dublina it was basically a maze of signs. I was very disappointed. Mehr

Amazing hotel, new build therefore modern and large! Is also a hop, skip and a jump to the Jail and modern art museum. However it was about a 40 min walk to the temple Bar area/high street, and if you don’t known Dublin streets then you should invest in a map!

Stayed in the hotel for one night and had a lovely relaxing break. The hotel is located on the outskirts of the city but only 12EUR by taxi into town. Ideal location in my opinion if you have a car as parking in city centre is expensive. The hotel car park was 10eur which was great value. The hotel is lovely. The staff is very nice. I enjoyed the pool and sauna also. I appreciated the hydromassage pool and jacuzzi. The dinner was a bit expensive, but excellent!!! I don't regret
