Mein Mann und ich waren in Februar auf der Durchreise in diesem etwas anderem Hotel zu Gast. Um es auf den Punkt zu bringen. Note Hotel: Sehr gut Note Küche: Sehr gut und mal was anderes, was die Zubereitung betrift.

Super Hotel, wunderbar über der Stadt gelegen mit herrlicher Aussichtsterrasse. Wenige Minuten zu Fuss ins Zentrum/Altstadt. Schöne ruhige Zimmer, angenehmer Service.

Hotel hat eine sehr gute Lage. Altstadt ist in 7 Minuten fussläufig zu erreichen. Herrliche Terasse mit Blick auf Girona. Frühstücksbuffet mit 16 € zu teuer. Sehr positiv: Minibar mit Softdrinks und Bier können kostenlos benutzt werden.

Hotel was shoddy, wallpaper stained and falling off the walls. Staff were unhelpful and gave us completely the wrong directions. Location is terrible, a good 30 minute hilly walk to get to the old town and you have to walk through the new town which is dirty and run down. Stay somewhere else

Good modernistic hotel, rooms clean and good size but opaque glass bathroom wall and door, with gap, took some getting used too - don't bother if you want bathroom privacy. Handheld shower over bath. BBC World on TV. Fantastic location on a hill overlooking the city and close to the historic centre of town but a VERY steep approach road (25%?), allow […] for taxis back to the hotel if you don't have a car unless you like hard uphill walks. Plenty of free parking, good free wifi in public areas only but this covers the front rooms as well. Breakfast continental only but good. Room AC works well and minibar reasonably priced. Considering the price and free parking, the Palau de Bellavista met most of our needs. The only down side was the location of the property in terms of its steep climb from the city's historic district. Otherwise, the hotel was very good and if you're driving, the free parking is a plus. great budget hotel and very clean. I would recommend this hotel based on location, the view from the incredibly large terrace, value for money and the friendliness of staff. Hi If you plan on traveling by foot from the hotel to the main parts of the city it can take a long time and will not be possible for people that are not in a good shape because its located very high. Everything was just fine and i recommend this hotel but Breakfast is very disappointing and defently not worth the money.

The hotel was nice. A little confusing as I booked room with city views, but the rooms look toward each other and not the city. The reception staff were very nice. We had a coffee when we arrived as it was still early, with the coffee we had a mini croissant and were charged 13.20 euros. Breakfast was the same again times 2, Don't have the breakfast, […] it's not worth the money!!!!! The walk into town is a good 10 mins and all uphill on the way back. The hotel is set in a residential area. I found the hotel impersonal and clinical. Next time I would choose a hotel IN the old quarter and not this one. Mehr

Modern, high quality accommodation, excellent facilities. Location has advantages and disadvantages - superb views over city of Girona, but steep climb when walking back from city centre. Security gates a little offputting!

This hotel is very clean, rooms are nice, but the service is terribble. Also the TV did not work in the room, and no hot food on Sunday's because the restaurant is closed. Also it is not near the airport. Slept well though and facilities are very clean.

This hotel is ideal for a short stay . It is also in a perfect location to visit Barcelona 100km and france border approx 80 km away . The hotel sits high above girona on a steep hill with good views across the city from the hotel's large terrace . The rooms are clean and comfortable with air condition . We loved the hotel but was a bit hard to find at night, even with GPS. We arr ived about 8:30pm but there was no full room service for meals, only a very limited selection which was very disappointing. We looked for a hotel that we could use as a base in Girona after flying into there and foolishly assumed that if it had the Marriott name, it would be like Marriott hotels in the UK. The hotel was extremely basic. Rooms were of a reasonable size and clean but the hotel offered next to no amenities. It boasted 'city views' but only if you were out on […] the terrace, not in your room and even then, the city of Girona is not picturesque at all! The breakfast is extortionate at 12 euros for a help yourself basic buffet and dinner is of an average quality with a high price. While we were there, the service for dinner was very slow, waiting over 45 minutes for our first course to arrive. The restaurant boasts an 'award-winning' restaurant (separate to the main one), but this has been closed down for some time now. Would we stay here again? No. Would we recommend it? No. Mehr

The hotel was nice however the staffing levels were very poor for the standard of the rating. We had to wait 20 minutes for a drink at 10.30 at night and that was after the waiter being summoned on the walkie talkie!!

Lovely modern, spacious hotel, great staff with stunning views over Girona. Only criticism is the bathroom is a little audiable from the bedroom(!), and the corridor noise and daily vacuuming too... but that said it is a business hotel so most people would be on the move before that occurs

The staff was helpful and accommodating with our situation, the hotel design is awesome, the use of the mini-bar is great and the location and view is unique and beautiful. Highly recommend staying here, but stay for the price.

Not a five star hotel IMHO. The brochure about it told you one thing but the reality was totally and utterly opposite. A bit like "your investment can go up as well as down" only this one was definitely down...

AC Palau de Bellavista is a great medium size hotel, modern, very well mantained, nice internal decoration, good location overviewing Girona, 20 minutes walk to the main attractions. I recommend to walk to the attractions ( downhill) and take a taxi back to the hotel, unless one wants to burn hundreds of calories from the Tapas eaten on the previous […] evening !!!! Mehr

Well sited on an elevated position on the edge of the old town. This is a disadvantage because the nearest cafes appear to be 15 minutes walk away. Only cold food is available between 3:00 pm and 8:30 pm - unless it's Monday, in which case only the room service (basic) menu is available. When the restaurant is open the food is excellent - except for […] the miserable and overpriced cold breakfast. A four star hotel should better provide for travellers' needs in this department. The hotel is up a hill, with a huge terrace with great views to far hills and town. Very modern and spacious, good facilities (possibly not quite 5*, no pool, but very nice and good value). About 10 min walk to old town, 15 to rail/bus station.

The hotel describes itself as a `business hotel' and is self consciously `modern and functional ' in the sense that these terms were used in the 1930s. It is very much stainless steel and glass in a minimalist way. Nevertheless it is well done, particularly with the leather chairs and sofas (though perhaps the bare MDF ceiling is taking things too far). The […] room was fine and the cost of the room was very reasonable. To some extent this was clawed back by the cost of the largely buffet breakfast. The food is well prepared. However, the dinner menu was quite restricted and the service, particularly at the breakfast, was variable . On the last morning breakfast coffee was available only through a machine. When pointed out this was rectified, eventually though with bad grace, by an unsmiling waitress. However it is scrupulously clean, neat, administratively efficient and up-to-date. On those grounds alone I would recommend it to anyone wanting to escape the dinghier aspects of the typical Spanish tourist hotel. Mehr

Modern, clean, beautiful view of the sity. Very quiet - we were waken up by the roosters singing... and yet walking distance to the town (steep walk though). Good price. Highly reccomend.

Girona was a stop-over town for us but we thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel has a spectacular view over the town, which as you would expect means a bit of trek down hill to get to anything. We didn't find that a problem at all it was a nice walk. The hotel was very comfortable, the staff helpful. The parking and wifi were free, hotels.com stated these […] would cost us so it's was a nice surprise. Plus the mini bar was also free ( coke, fanta , juice etc, and beer). They also had jazz on their terrace some nights, sadly not the night we were there, that would have really made the stay wonderful. Couldn't fault the place, we will definitely be back. Mehr

We stayed at this hotel when driving from UK to south of Spain. A fantastic hotel with amazing views and really friendly, helpful staff. The rooms are spacious and very stylish. There is an amazing terrace with views over the city. Not really a holiday hotel but a pool would have been nice. Our only problem was the restaurant is closed on a Sunday, […] however Girona is beautiful and there are loads of great places to eat so walk down the hill and explore both sides of the river. I am a very critical hotel guest and I must say that I cannot recall ever having no complaints. The bed was perhaps a bit softer than I prefer but it was still very comfortable. Very modern, very stylish, very beautiful, with fabulous food, brilliant service and amazing views ...but... the toilet would not flush until we dismantled it and foraged about in the cistern; the trendy coffee table/lamp toppled over as soon as soon as a drink was placed on it - and landed all over my husband's trousers; no spare pillows or blankets; […] the stunning views over the city were obliterated at night by the lighting within the building reflecting off the windows; the carpark was designed to place cars on the mud instead of tarmac; the bathroom washbasin was so shallow it was hard to scoop up enough water to wash with; the golfball shaped soap kept roling off the minimalist sink and onto the floor or into the basin and the attractive photographic glass panels which formed the bathroom walls left little to the imagination. A lovely concept - but I wonder if the designers ever actually tried it out? I would go back for the food, style and service, but my husband prefers dry trousers and would not use this venue again. It is a beautiful, modern hotel with a wonderful view, close to the old town.We found the rooms comfortable and roomy with only a little trouble trying to figure out the air conditioning. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
