The Inn At Oak Plantation - Kissimmee

Found 2 palmetto bugs aka big freaking roaches, one dead and one running around terrorizing my wife. They did my room up every day but always managed to forget to put in toilet paper, unfortunate for me I ran out and had to get front desk to deliver some ASAP.

We booked on HOTELS.COM and were VERY pleasantly surprised with the rooms. They are updated, gorgeous crown molding, and nice layout. Rooms were comfortable, A/C was COLD, and very clean. Kids enjoyed swimming in the pool while watching a movie on the projector on Saturday night at the resort, a VERY short walk from the Inn. (<: HIGHLY RECOMMEND this […] hotel to anyone. The room looks like the pics but is kind of small. I like a nice size pillow but the ones in the room were small. The staff was very helpfull and nice.

I would definitely go back and stay again. Very pleased with everything!! Room was better than the pictures described.

Had late check in even called hotel 45 minutes prior to arrival. no keys when we shoed up, no toewls in the room, 3 out of 4 light bulbs burnt out & not working. "Security Guard" (punk with girlfriend in golf cart) showed up at 2:15 AM and "threw" about 30 towels on the floor inside room. Management contacted the next day, offered sympathy & breakfasr […] vouchers for "the Resort" and wouldn't you know they never showed up. Room was filthy this hotel and the one next door people and cops around ALL night long. I wouldn't recommend that place to a cockroach!! Stay somwhere else.....for less! Mehr

They need to update the info for this hotel. The info is for the actual resort the company owns across the alley. Breakfast is NOT included, and rooms don't have DVD players. However, this place is great! I got a great deal on the price. Got there early, no problem checking in. And you are allowed to use all of the ammenities of the resort across the […] alley (pool, bar, fitness room, etc). Great little place. Mehr

If you're looking for a great comfortable room, this is a great place to go. If you're picky, do not. I recognized a lot of little negative things, however, would absolutely stay there again and recommend the place. The room is exactly what was expected based on the hotels.com pictures which was comforting because I've personally witnessed the effects […] of good lighting and angles making disgusting places seem presentable. As for the little things: The description mentioned a DVD player in the room and there was not one. All of the lights in the room did not work. The continental breakfast consisted only of bagels and english muffins. The bartender at the resort behind the hotel that you have access to as an Inn guest (which is where the basketball courts, jacuzzi, etc. are located) was too busy for my family and wouldn't even take our drink or food order. There is minimal lighting at the pool. The ice machine did not work. Again: I would absolutely stay there again but just keeping it real. Mehr

This hotel room was gross. There were finger nail clippings next to the bed on the floor. There were a few hairs on the sheets. I refused to stay here. I was moved to another very nice hotel.

This stay started off on the wrong foot as soon as we arrived. We booked the room on our way and arrived at the hotel 20 minutes later. The hotel did not get our reservation right away so we had to awkwardly wait in the dim lit lobby. While we were waiting, the girl at the front desk ran my card for a $50 amenity charge and had me sign the receipt. […] That doesn't seem right. She finally received the reservation but said she didn't have keys for us so she would have to go up and let us in the room. Weird! She said she could give us keys later in the night. It was already 10pm and we wanted to just go to sleep so we said no. The room had no good bright lights. There was an electrical outlet hanging out of the wall. The shower was awful. It was made for a midget. I had to crouch down to wash my hair. When checking out, I asked for a receipt. The first thing the girl at the front desk wants me to do is to fill out a customer service survey saying how great she was. She said if she got the most she would win money. I think that should be voluntary instead of putting it in my face. Very awkward here. I would never stay again. This was five nights ago and there is still the $50 hold on my card. The staff was very helpfull and great. And the condition of the hotel wasnt too bad. Even though you cant say hotel. Its more of the motel. The bigest downside was the bed.The sheets in the room were not clean and the cover looked very old. The photos showed all there's great things as it has a small breakfast table, small couch but all what it did […] to the room is made it impossible to turn around and we couldn't find a corner for the suitcase not talking about two of them. It was great it had a microwave and a fridge. We could use it for late snacks and warm them up when we got back from the parks. If you are expecting breakfast plan to go have it somewhere else because all you get is the bagels and cream cheese. A choice of tea or coffe. You only get a powder creamer for coffe. As it advertised they had shuttle to Disney but it left I think only 8 am and came back I think 6.30 so if those times work for u, u will be ok. It didn't work for us since it had no flexibility. We were going to Disney it was about 11 mi away. Oh and the room had weird smell... If I went there again the same way as this time ( leave the room early mornin come back late at night) I would stay there. If I was planing to spend some time in the room I would look for something different. Mehr

Bad things: Stove needs be cleaned. Alarm on every time stove was on. Washer is too loud. No lids for all the cooking utensils. One remote control for two TVs. Bedsheet was damp probably from the weather. Good things: Decent space with separate bedroom and living room. Two TVs. Queen sleeper sofa. Lots of closets. Quiet. Convenient to Disney.

Bedbugs, left immediately....not recommended

upon arriving at the Inn, they had lost our reservations that had been booked for a month. They instead put us in their 'resort', which was a very nice upgrade.

no linens for the pull-out sofa and 2 dingy towels in the room for 4 person on a late check in. bugs in the bathroom. the phone did not work. Not even a cup to have a drink of water. A coffee maker and no cups. A/C was difficult to work. check-in was at a beautiful off-site location.. Very dissatisfied.......

There were no keys available, we had to walk over to the main Oak Plantation Resort to get them ourselves after asking twice from the main office. We were also given a room that was a smoking room. No coffee cups supplied. Floors were filthy! No toiletries supplied. Pool was locked. The access to the Oak Plantation Resort was the only positive.

I was pleasantly surprised by my accomidations. I own a home in the area and was in town to check on it, so I am very familiar with the area. However I could not recall this hotel at all and did not want to be disappointed. I went out on a limb and am glad I did. All of the staff was very pleasant both there and at the nearby resort. My room felt more […] like a studio apartment then a stuffy little hotel room. Everything was clean and in working order. The outside of the hotel is not much to look at. The only thing I would have liked was to have access to the internet in my room rather than going to the resort. Wal-Mart is a block away so I did not have to go far to get things to fill up my fridge :-) Mehr

my weekend at this hotel was very nice and quite allthough we had to what for the room do to not finish cleaning the room we were very pleased with our stay my wife and I was on our anniversary on 01/16 thur 01/18/2010 we needed a nice loving place with one another without the children we have a little trouble in the beginning do to not understanding […] the addition hold and credit card but was happy to see customer service help with the problem my stay was great the beds could just a little softer but the room where nice we stay in the room for 2 nights it rained and was cold the hold weekend so we stayed inside the room the hold weekend loved it for the price the hotel helped with all our needes that weekend the location is very easy to find and get around i was very happy with this and will love to stay here again i hope a villa at the resort is open for our next stay a little old place but nice for the stay love it Mehr

We expected a motel in better condition, because the advertised rate was twice the "on sale" rate and more than popular motel chains. A couple of light switches did not work, mildew smell in room, wet carpet, and dirty air conditioner unit. There was not a tv remote in the room, but was supplied one upon request. Clerk was friendly, but maintenance […] department at the resort was not very responsive. It took them around five hours to bring our key, because the motel's key machine was broken. We did switch rooms the next morning due to the wet carpet and mildew smell, but the second room was not much better. Less of a smell, but the light switches were tempermental. There was no internet service at the motel. The pull out couch was advertised as a Queen size, but was perhaps a full. The motel's sign was not lit up at night, and we passed by it a couple of times. We expected the resort amenities would make up for the room. They didn't. The pools were advertised as heated and weren't. The free shuttle to Disney only makes two trips a day and is limited to eight people total per trip. We planned to use the shuttle, but it was thirty minutes late for the morning pick up so we drove ourselves. The latest return trip from Disney was around 9 p.m. which was pretty unreasonable. The soda machine in the Internet Cafe was a joke. The Diet Coke tasted like Listerine. The Rootbeer was just as bad. The laundry room was closed for repairs. The continental breakfast was coffee, juice, english muffins, and bagels. The toasters were in rough shape with broken handles. The orange juice machine did not work for several days. The first couple days, the breakfast was not restocked. The remaining days there was an attendant there trying to stop people from taking things out and restocking. It was about a ten minute drive to Disney, a mile from Wal-Mart, and several chain restaurants were nearby. This was obviously an older motel strip. the hotel is nice and clean, but its in a bad neighborhood. the hotel next door got broken in to. i would not stay there again.

Very good for the money. The only complaint I have would be the breakfast. If you are having a day out you will need more then a bagel and juice. Shuttle to Disney was on time and the driver was a great guy. Room was much better than I expected. It was a semi partitioned room with a sleeper sofa on one side and bed on the other. TV was located on the bed side, however another TV in front of the sofa would of been too much. Food storage/prep area was nice with a bar sink so you did not have to use the sink located in the bathroom area. There was no dining […] table, just a desk and coffee table, which were adequate. Don't depend on the breakfast evrey time you visit this resort. This stay it consisted of bagels and cream cheese, however in the past when the hotel had a higher occupancy I have had make your own waffles, fruit, pastries, etc. Mehr

The room itself was clean, although older furniture, fixtures & linens. There were several negative matters: the ice machine was broken (been that way for some time), & the "continental breakfast" consisted of frozen bagels, weak coffee & a broken juice machine. mold in rest room, blankets stuffed in sofa bed!!

Check-in was a nightmare! Bathroom was outdated. Not enough towels... may seem minor but enough to turn me away! It was not very close to everything either.

Really great room, had a couch and divider incase you had someone sleeping in the pullout. Very clean. When we first got to our room there was no remote but after calling the front desk they had one sent over by about 30 minutes. Not the quickest but at least we receive one. The breakfast was just english muffins with jam and bagels but that was enough […] for me. But when we first went to get breakfast at 8:00am there was 1 english muffin left!!! I was upset since I was planning on their breakfast but I went up to the front counter and they restocked everything right away so I didn't fault them on thaat, but they should moniter it a little better. Overall, very clean and nice, I would stay there again for such a great price! Mehr

The hotels is a low budget hotel for the money the room would have probally been okay if the essentials worked. The first room they put me in the safe and telephone, and hair dryer did not work. The second room the safe did not work.

The hotel was very clean. Front desk were very pleasent. All employes were ready to help if needed. The hotel is very close to disney and offer in the rooms a small refrigerator, microwave,coffe maker and iron,iron board and blowdryer.

I Stayed At This Location For A Total Of 8 Days. For The Price I Paid It Was Okay. The Front Desk Personell Were Very Friendly. The Room Had All The Ameneties I Needed For My Stay!

We experienced problems with check-in. Roughly 20 mins, we finally got checked in and into our rooms we go. There was hair all over the bathroom. Sofa bed very uncomfy. Electric socket was coming out of the wall. Beds very uncomfy. Ice machine wasn't working. Very unhappy with everything!!

When we arrived we were about a half hour early. I asked the person at the front desk if we could check in early. She said that shouldnt be a problem but we would have to wait for the room to be cleaned. Over an hour later we were given our room keys. Going into the bedroom it smelled pretty bad like musky mold. After driving for a full day the first […] thing my family wanted to do was take a shower. In the bathroom there was pieces of the wall that were missing reveiling black mold that was just painted over. Looking in the tub the missing wall pieces were found(which indicated that the tub was not cleaned). There were water spots all over the sink areas(which if the room was JUST cleaned they wouldnt have water spots). There was a strange smell to the towels(thankfully we brought our own). Our room didnt come with an ice bucket. The showers leaked like crazy no matter what you did to prevent them. But we decided to suck it up since...1. we just waited over an hour to get this room(how long to wait for a for-real clean room) 2. the location and staff was nice 3. we couldnt afford to go to a nicer place at the time since this hotel was already paid for. After spending a whole day at disney we come home to see that our keys didnt work. The person that checked us in must have only activated them for one night. When i went to the front desk to tell them about it (different person than the one that checked us in) they didnt ask for my id before letting me into our room...which was a little scary as i could have been anyone. The lady at the front desk in the morning was super friendly. I think her name was Dottie. She looked up the weather for us and even gave my daughter a stuffed animal. She treated us like we were staying in a four star hotel. If i had to do a trip on a major budget I might think about staying here again but next time thinking i will just shell out a few more bucks a night and stay somewhere else. Mehr

rooms were clean , asked for a roll away bed , but was refused as it would be a fire hazard, no doubt the electrical outlet hanging out of the wall wasn't considered one, staff was friendly , kind of far down , but would stay again for the price

I believe this is the best in the neighborhood for the price.

Can not get the internet as it said. Water runs all over the floor when showering. it's wet air in the room. Friendly workers, good breakfast. The location is a bit out of the attractions.

We really enjoyed our hotel room. Very spacious and quiet. Our room was at the end by the pool, but never heard loud noises. More importantly, the bed was very comfortable after long days at Disney! We ate the free waffle breakfast and was satisfied. The clerk at the desk was awesome. Target, Walmart, and K-Mart was right down the street. And Disney […] was only about 7 mins. away. We loved it!
