Ich war sehr zufrieden. Mein Zimmer war sehr gut ausgestattet mit einem großen, bequemen Doppelbett (gute Matratze - ich habe oft Rückenschmerzen nach Hotelaufenthalten, hier aber nicht), großem iMac Rechner, kostenlosem und schnellem! WiFi (für jede Etage eigene Zugänge bzw. Netzwerke mit hohen Empfangsstärken), kleiner Pantry-Küche und einem geräumigen, sauberen Bad (WC + Dusche). Bad und Schlafraum hatten Fenster, die Klimaanlage geht automatisch aus, wenn man die Fenster öffnet. Man kann die Klimaanlage gut regulieren, in der höchsten Stufe ist sie laut. Mein Zimmer war ruhig, weil es in eine Art Innenhof zeigte, der aber sehr klein und hässlich war. Aussicht gleich null und das Zimmer/Bad war auch etwas dunkel, trotz künstlichem Licht (schick aber unpraktisch). Einrichtung aber sehr modern und stylish. Jedes Zimmer hat eigene Rauchmelder, es gibt einen Feuerlöscher im Zimmer. Sehr freundlicher Service, der fließend Englisch sprach, Rezeption 24h besetzt. Kein Frühstück im Haus, aber bei Brown's Café, das 1 Minute zu Fuß entfernt ist und leckeres Frühstück bietet (Sanwiches, Muffins - amerikanischer Art). Metro-Station ist um die Ecke. Hotel liegt sehr ruhig in einer Seitenstraße. Kleiner Supermarkt zur Selbstverpflegung ist um die Ecke (3 Minuten zu Fuß). Insgesamt eine klare Empfehlung.

"Kein 5-Stern Hotel"
Um es vorauszuschicken: Wir waren in dem Hotel zufrieden: Aber für andere, die dorthin fahren wollen, sei doch das eine oder andere kritisch angemerkt. Das Hotel hat 5 Sterne. Daher hat man auch eine entsprechende Erwartungshaltung. Und die wurde doch einige Male enttäuscht: Das Zimmer ist luxuriös ausgestattet, aber es war nicht sauber. Insbesondere […] das Bad war staubig. Das Zimmerservice findet zweimal am Tag statt aber beim Abendservice werden schmutzige Gläser, Tassen, leere Flaschen, etc nicht mitgenommen. Kosmetiktücher waren nur wenige ind er Box und als diese noch am ersten Tag leer wurde, ist das bis zum Ende unseres Aufenthalts niemandem aufgefallen und sie blieb halt leer. Die Receptionisten, der Concierge, die Bell Boys sind alle sehr freundlich, wenn sie mit einem sprechen. Von selbst grüßen, wenn man durch die Lobby geht oder das Hotel betritt oder verlässt, tun sie jedoch nicht (oder nur höchst selten). Der Barkeeper ist sehr nett und überaus hilfsbereit, verschwindet jedoch nach dem Service auf Nimmerwiedersehen und hat stattdessen Spaß mit den anderen Kollegen, die auch nichts zu tun haben, in der Lobby. Wenn man noch etwas bestellen möchte, muss man ihn suchen gehen. Dann kommt er sofort und ist wieder sehr nett und .... Also, alles in allem, ein gutes Hotel, überaus gt gelegen, vielleicht 4 Sterne wert, keinesfalls jedoch 5. Und das ist schade, weil es eigentlich ja ganz einfach wäre, die erwähnten Kleinigkeiten zu verbessern. Man hat einfach das Gefühl, es kümmert sich niemand wirklich darum und gibt Regeln für das Service vor und achtet auf deren Einhaltung. Mehr

"Ein tolles Hotel für einen Städteurlaub"
Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im Sofitel sehr genossen. Das Zimmer war sehr komfortabel eingerichtet, es fehlte an nichts. Es wirkte nur etwas düster, da dunkle Möbel und sehr schwere Vorhänge das Zimmer dekorierten. Unser Zimmer ging hinten raus, es war sehr ruhig. Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich, über die Küche kann […] keine Aussage getroffen werden, da wir nur Übernachtung gebucht haben (übrigens sehr empfehlenswert für Lissabon, da es unendlich viele Möglichkeiten gibt, kleine Frühstücks einzunehmen) Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr zentral, nur ca 15 Min. zu Fuss ins Zentrum, direkt an der schönen Avenida da Liberdad. Wir konnten vor dem Hotel kurz parken um das Gepäck auszuladen, die Parkmöglichkeiten rund um das Hotel sind sehr begrenzt.Das Einchecken verlief problemlos,sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal.Das zugeteilte Zimmer im 7.Stock war hofseitig gelegen.Das Bett war super bequem. Jeden Abend wurde aufgebettet, täglicher Handtuchwechsel und auch […] die verbrauchten Seifen, Shampoo usw. wurden erneuert. Sauberkeit 1A. Das Frühstück war uns dann schon zu teuer, es gibt sehr viele Möglichkeiten in einem Cafe zu frühstücken. Durch die zentrale Lage können sehr viele Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuss erreicht werden.Auf alle Fälle würden wir wieder in diesem Hotel wohnen wollen, sehr empfehlenswert. Mehr
The staff were very helpful and friendly. They gave us alot of information of how to use the transport system and the places to visit. The location of the hotel was perfect, it is along the airport bus route and the Hop on and Hop of bus stops infront of the hotel. The bed was comfortable and the room decor was stunning with fresh flowers. Free toiletries […] were great and tea/coffee facility was provided. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised at the intimacy of the hotel and its convenient location in Lisbon. While our room was a little small, it was clean and comfortable. As others have commented, the breakfast is fantastic. Yes it is expensive, but worth it. The food in the snack bar was also good in a lovely setting. The staff was very helpful […] and the service was great, making you feel at home. The location can't be beat. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. "Great room, one exception"
This is a great hotel. Staff were excellent. Amenities where great. Great restaurant. The street noise however seemed like it was piped directly into the room. I literally check to make sure the window wasn't opened.

We visited Portugal for 8 days (10/21/11-10/30/11) and spent our last night in Lisbon at the Sofitel. We were excited to stay here because we had walked past it during our sightseeing and thought 'wow, what a great location and beautiful hotel'. The staff was very friendly and accommodating but we were turned off the the crampness of the room and the […] fact that it seemed like it had been vacant/untouched for some time. Perfectly located on the main avenue Liberdade, walking distance to everything!! Hotel staff could not have been more helpful. We were always greated with a smile and made to feel very welome. We stayed for 7 nights and were very happy with this property and would definitely stay here again! But pack lite very limited closet space.

Stayed with my wife for 3 nights. Great hotel. Restaurant a bit dear so we ate out for all meals. Clean and comfortable room. Right by the Avenida Metro entrance so very convenient for all transport links. 10 min walk from main shops or 2 stops on Metro. Buy a 24 hour ticket for 4.6 euros and travel trams, bus and metro as much as you like. Highly […] recommended. Mehr

Well located, in great neighborhood, close to many fine restaurants and shopping. Room was comfortable and well maintained, staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast not included and expensive. Only 7-8 minutes walk to the train station and more historic neighborhoods. Only complaint was that the reservation stated that valet parking was free, but the […] hotel charged $20 per day for the parking lot and said the "free valet" just meant that they would not charge for their staff to drive the car to a nearby lot. Went to complain, they were fantastic and even upgraded us for this mistake they made. This was my first (and so far only) stay at a Sofitel and it was a great experience. Beautiful hotel, great room, great price, and great location in Lisbon. Walking distance to the main district and there is a subway stop right in front of the hotel. Our luggage was lost and did not arrive for over 24 hours, but the hotel staff was extremely helpful […] and called the airline for us and gave us amenities to hold us over. Hotel is in a great location on the Avenue Da Liberdade which is why i booked it, close to the restaurants of Barrio Alto. Unfortunately the Hotel is not the 5 star standard i would have expected. Small Reception and Bar area, I paid extra for a superior room which was small and had a view of the adjacent graffiti wall. Nice touches like Bose ipod dock […] and free wifi was good. One of the reasons for booking the hotel was "free Valet Parking" That to me would mean free parking for your stay but in fact only means the Porter will put your car in the car park, the parking is 20 Euro a day! Unfair as its free parking in Lisbon at weekends and the Porter didn't even put the car in the car park for us! Spoilt the stay when we had to argue the parking at the end of the stay. Wouldn't stay here again and wouldn't recommend. I would go back to Corinthia Hotel which is a little further out of town but includes breakfast and large modern 5 star rooms at a substantial saving. Excellent location: near the center, restaurants galore, shopping, not at all far from tourist sites. Spent 9 nights in a very good small room, we were in the next to smallest size and we fit in adequately. Rooms seemed small for 5 star, but certainly nice 4 star. Many extra touches: slippers, robes, towels placed on floor next to each side of bed around […] 6PM, decent sized safe. Very helpful, attentive staff. Expensive breakfast but good little coffee house next door. Cost in early August seemed a good deal. I would certainly stay there again, sadly Lisbon was not overly interesting. Mehr

Located on Av. Liberdade, this hotel is right in downtown Lisbon - close to the metro station and all the sights. The rooms are extremely comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. We have stayed before and will come back again !

The location is perfect, walking distance from most downtown locations, taxis coming by constantly, sidewalk cafes nearby. Because Libertade is so wide the traffic noise is less than usual for Lisbon. Everything about the hotel was perfect. The staff were terrific, they all somehow knew my name immediately. The restaurant is excellent, best food I […] had in Portugal by far. My only compliant is that breakfast was not included in the rather high room rate. Free internet was much appreciated. Mehr

"Excellent choice"
We loved this hotel. The location was excellent and the beds and pillows were bliss, and I am fussy! Reviews I read previously mentioned that breakfast was expensive, but we chose from the a la carte menu and found it good value. We even had tea making facilities in our room, a very welcome extra.

Our first trip to Lisbon ,so after reading reviews about this hotel we decided to book it. We were not disappointed. This hotel is in a perfect position with lots of bars and restaurants nearby. The centre is just a short stroll away. Lots of nice touches in the room eg fresh flowers, L'Occitane products and chocolates placed on bedside table every […] day. The staff were really friendly and went out of their way to help(especially with the maps and places of interest). We only went for 3 nights but could have done with an extra one as there is so much to see in Lisbon. The buildings are beautiful and there are many streetside cafes.
