We were very impressed with the cleanliness of our room. The breakfast was ok could have been a few table and chairs to sit at but we just took our doughnut with us! We will definely stay again!!

It was the perfect spot for me, accross from my favorite breakfast spot and down the street from my favorite steak house. It was also 10 min away from my final destination

We went there to stay cople days, really good location, close to anywhere like tanger outlet, rockvale outlet and the best one is Sight and Sound studio. Price and quality of the hotel are really the best for everyone to consider.

We enjoyed the area it was close to all places in Lancaster. We plan on bringing our great-grandsons to Lancaster this summer and will be staying at Weathervane. They have picnic tables and grass they came play in.

Very nice little place for the money. My daughter and I went to Lancaster to go outlet shopping.The motel was very close to everywhere we wanted to go.

the beds are not comfortable there was no coffee or continental breakfast at the hotel nobody at the office at 8:00 am

A very nice place! I reserved here because of other reviews and was not disappointed! I travelled with my mother on our way to pick up a family member and we decided to take a few nights to sightsee before our stop in D.C. Stayed in Rm Seven - loved parking right at our door because it was super easy to unload. Room was nonsmoking, extremely clean, […] had a new A/C, clean sheets, a decent amount of towels, a microwave, a small fridge (we were happy to see), a newer t.v., and 2 beds. It was very hot so the great a/c was appreciated. This was an older facility, but the beds had decent mattresses so we got a great couple of night's sleep. The mattresses sit on a solid frame so they are a little lower to the floor than I would have liked, but I'm tall, so that's a personal preference. We had a few chairs and a round table which worked well for eating breakfast and snacks or for working at. The sink area is separate from the tub with shower and toilet, so it made it easy for my mother and I to get ready in the morning. Families would like this place because there's little traffic in the parking lot and (our room had) bathtubs. Although the tiles on the floor were dated, we liked the really clean bathroom and found it had nice water pressure, too. We had a group of 3 or 4 women stay in the room next door and only heard them if they started laughing loudly, otherwise this was a quiet room that backed up to a field of corn. No window in the back of the room, which I was happy with for safety reasons. Every staff person we spoke with was very kind and made us feel welcomed. We didn't use the free continental breakfast they offered, but we used the free ice machine -- pleasantly surprised how much was available (we had a small cooler for milk and drinks). Great central location to Lancaster activities, to shopping, and to a multitude of both gas stations and restaurants. the room was very clean,but needed to be updated the beds were very uncomfortable, the rate was very reasonable and it was only a two night stay.

I booked the Weathervane online based on the reviews. When we arrived and I saw the condition of the the lobby I was somewhat wary. It was a bit unkempt with water stains on the ceiling and dingy furniture. The hotel Manager was very nice and advised me the room was clean and updated with a new TV. He told me to let him know if I didn't like the condition. […] I told him I would. We took our key and off to room 35. I was pleasantly surprised when we opened the door; it smelled clean and looked clean. I did my usual check for crawlies in the drawers and turned down the bed and looked for evidence of bed bugs. I was so pleased that the mattress looked new and clean. My husband shakes his head and smiles. He knows I am fanatical and I drive him a little nuts but he knows I won't be satisfied until I check. He humors me and when I give the okay, he brings in our bag. Now, I'm certain there are others like me with the same concerns when traveling so I count on honest reviews when making my selections. The Weathervane is dated but with some upgrades, like the TV, but all I really care about is a clean bed and a place to shower. It suited our needs perfectly. Oh, I read complaints about the hard bed and the breakfast; well the bed is hard (which my back loved) and the breakfast is continental and very good. Sometimes I think some people expect the Waldorf Astoria when traveling on a budget. If you want fancy this isn't your place but on the other hand if you want a clean place at a resonalble price, then I think you will enjoy your stay at the Weathervane. Mehr

The rooms were clean, the staff was very helpful and I plan on staying at this hotel again.

It was good for the cost. It's well located if you want to be in Amish country and the staff was helpful, like bringing us toilet paper bc there was none and more towels and the rooms are large. However, it's very old school. It's clean but has those old gross blankets and no toiletries whatsoever. Luckily, we bring all of that on our own. Though certainly not elegant, this basic motel was reasonably priced, comfortable and conveniently located. We would definitely consider staying there again if we had a reason to be in the area in the future.

Nick & his wife, the owners, were extremely friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and spacious with a new flatscreen TV mounted on the wall. Location was excellent for everything we wanted to do. However, the mattresses were older and the kind where you "meet in the middle." Otherwise a nice, inexpensive place to stay.

We generally stay at either Days Inn or Sleep Inn's only because we're not really big fans of a lot of bells & whistles and they both usually serve continental breakfasts that are extensive. We were unable to get the nights we wanted at one of these choices and noticed the reviews were very good for the Weathervane; we weren't disappointed. The rooms […] are basic (ours had 2 double beds); the furnishings are a little dated however the bath facilities had been updated. There's a spacious solid surface vanity outside the "bath" that has the commode & tub/shower. Our room also had a refrigerator that kept things cold enough that left over ice cream from Strasburg Creamery (definitely go there!!) stayed soft but thick enough to still identify as ice cream the following evening. On top of the fridge was a small microwave that we didn't have a chance to use. There's no coffee maker in the room, just a little bucket for ice and plastic cups for water. The breakfast area could use a counter or something to place your paper plate & coffee on while eating; there are no tables and chairs but on nice days there are benches outside of the motel rooms and a gazebo. The breakfast offered fresh brew reg & decaf coffee & hot water for tea; 2 types of "cold" cereal, donuts, various flavors of bagels that could be toasted in the provided toaster. They offered packaged jelly, butter and when it was out, cream cheese. If you use half & half or ceam in your coffee, bring your own mini-moos or similar because they only offer powdered creamer or whole milk (intended for use with the cold cereal). Also available is a large pitcher of orange juice. The room has a large flat screen TV in the room with a remote; just be sure not to place any luggage or purse in front of the cable device or the remote won't change channels. in a two double bed room, one matress was fairly new but the other was way too soft and needed replaced. No handicapped rooms were available (which we needed). soaps were so small they could only be used once. No shampoo was provided.

the price was just right! For a little motel the rooms were very large, had nice flat screen tvs and were extremely clean! I would stay again for sure! The only down saide in my opinion was that the beds were very hard. They even offered a free breakfast in the morning which consisted mostly of bagels and donuts and coffee. THE WEATHERVANE MOTOR INN WAS A GAMBLE FOR US. WE WERE NOT FAMILIAR WITH IT OR THE AREA , ALWAYS HAVING STAYED IN A DIFFERENT SECTION OF LANCASTER PA. IT TURNED OUT THAT THE WEATHERVANE MOTOR INN WAS LOCATED CLOSE TO ALL OUR DESTINATIONS . THE STAFF WERE ALL CHEERFUL AND THE INN ITSELF HAD BEEN RECENTLY UPDATED WITH NEW TUB/SHOWER ENCLOSURES,NEW CARPETING, […] AND NEW HEATING/COOLING UNITS. WE ENJOYED THE GAZEBO/PICNIC AREA ALSO TO RELAX IN AFTER A LONG DAY TOURING,IT WAS A NICE AREA TO SIT WITH A COOL DRINK AND PLAN THE NEXT DAYS ACTIVITIES. Not fancy, but close to Sight and Sound Theatre where we were headed. Breakfast was nothing great, but you get what you pay for.

It wasn't bad for the price. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was okay - mainly clean. Beds were hard and not that comfortable. Free breakfast was very basic - bagels and donuts. I might stay again for 1 night but anything longer it would probably be worth paying a little more for nicer accomodations.

Prices were fair for what you get. Staff was very friendly & had great tips for entertainment/dining in the area. Wallpaper & carpet was a bit dated, mattresses were less firm than I like but slept ok. Beautiful farmhouse view in back and conveniently located off main road for shopping & eating. The hotel was very clean and needed to be updated in upholstery (stained chairs). There was breakfast available to take to your room-cereal, donuts, bagels, coffee, and juice. The staff were very courteous and helpful in recommending things to do in the area.

We chose to get away for the weekend to the Lancaster, PA area to take our 7 & 5 year olds to Dutch Wonderland. The Weathervane was the perfect spot for our weekend stay. The rooms have recently been updated and the beds were nice and comfortable. Everything was clean and well maintained. Fridge in the room and a new flat screen TV on the wall. We […] arrived late in the evening and the owner was kind enough to wait up for us to arrive. There was a complimentary breakfast available that we chose to enjoy consisting of bagels, donuts, cereal, coffee, tea, etc. It was just enough to get us going. If you are looking to go out to eat, there are plenty of restaurants in the area - including a Waffle House directly across the street. The Weathervane was in a great location for the outlets, Amish Farmland tours as well as Dutch Wonderland. We enjoyed our visit. Mehr

This is an older motel, but well kept. Room was clean; price was good; location was perfect for our needs. We would stay there again.

the room was just a basic room,no frills or anything special,just a place to sleep,the rooms are outdated and worn,but overall fairly clean,staff was nice. beds are hard and bring a can of off or the flies

We stayed at this hotel because it got great reviews. I don't see it. It's not a BAD place for the price...but c'mon, 5 stars?? The room was ok...the beds were a little hard, the sheets came all untucked (for no good reason). I'm always a little turned off when the motel is too cheap to provide shampoo. On the good side...NICE TV with a billion channels, […] great internet access, decent courtyard (no pool). It's not a bad place to stay in a pinch. I would not recommend it to others simply because there are a hundred other options within 5 minutes. If this place was in a small town with no other viable options it would be fine. After many visits to this motel were always haqpy to recommend them to our friends, clean, friendly, good breafast and central to most attractions.

Very happy with this Motor Inn. I am a nut about cleanliness and this hotel was extremely clean. It was a little dated in wallpaper, vinyl in bathroom but I was very pleased overall. Nice carpet & TV. Sink separate from the tub/toilet. This was the first time staying in this hotel. The room was very clean and neat and the people were friendly. Overall We were satisfied. The only complaint was that the beds were uncomfortable.

This little motel was perfect for us. It had a nice size fridge and free wifi. The thing we loved most was that it was near everything. Most things were 5-10 minutes away. Don't miss the free breakfast. The bagels and donuts are great.

The management was exceptionally nice. The accomodations were basic, but were all that was needed for an overnight stay. Location perfect if attending the Sight and Sound theater.

I enjoyed my short stay at the Weathervane Motor Court very much. The owners were incredibly courteous and helpful. Probably the nicest motel owners I have ever met. Do not stay here, it is sad, old, tired, no coffee machine, comfortable chairs and 'breakfast' the worst ever. Don't know how other people can praise it. I don't think that they actually stayed here.

Very good price. It was clean, but very basic. It did have a refrigerator and microwave. The beds were firm, which I like. The hosts are very nice and responsive. We were staying for a single overnight. We wanted a clean room with some basic features. They met the expectations. The staff was VERY friendly and the cost was excellent. I will stay there again.

I simply needed a room for the night. Come in late, leave early. No extras needed. The Weathervane Motor Inn provided just what I wanted at a great price. The room and bathroom were clean.
