It was a nice hotel, the staff is so nice!! Love the Southern Hospitality. It's nice to have breakfast available at the hotel. Waffles, eggs, bacon, cereal, yogurt, juice, coffee.. you can even take breakfast in a to go carton or grab snacks for later. Dinner is also available. Only complaint is the bedding. Wonderful facility & great amenities. Maggie set up our off site gym passes with no trouble. We received a complete refund for our night stay after the fire alarm went off at 3 am. A very nice suite for a relatively low cost, and every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. There was a very nice little kitchenette in the room and there were lots of restaurants in the vicinity. Decent hotel for decent price. 1br setup is nice if you have kids. Breakfast included saved us a good bit of money and was good. Not as hard to find at night as other reviews indicated. I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and would recommend the stay to anyone visiting the New Orleans area. Staff was friendly and helpful with everything that we needed and wanted. Just like so many others, we did have trouble finding the hotel, but the staff on the phone was wonderful, they asked where we were and we really didn't know, so they asked what we seen around us, we told them and they gave us specific directions on how to get there...turn at the I-Hop and follow the road....then we couldn't believe how simple it was! I […] called to see what was the earliest we could check in and they said our room wasn't rented the night before so we could come whenever...that was very nice. We got to the room and I was totally amazed at the room, it was huge! The bed was super comfy, the kitchenette was stocked and clean, the entire 'room' was immiculate. Not a sound when we were sleeping...very quiet. Got up went to the complimentary breakfast, and OMG they had eggs, ham, bacon, several different juices, the waffle maker, fresh fruit, wonderful coffee....I simply can't say enough wonderful things about my stay at Homewood Suites in Covington LA. This was my first stay at a Homewood Suites hotel and I was very impressed. The room was spacious and comfortable. The area was quiet and we did not hear traffic or city noises. The staff members were super friendly and helpful. There weren't any signs (or we didn't see any) giving directions, so you need to get directions or use GPS. Our GPS took […] us right to it. It's the last hotel on a short frontage road (next to I-12), but you won't see it from the exit if you're traveling west on I-12. There's an I-Hop restaurant on the frontage road, also, if it helps you to look for that. :) The complimentary hotel breakfast included low carb and healthier alternatives including scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, regular and light yogurt, boiled eggs, danishes/pastries, toast, waffle-maker, and cereals. They had sausage the morning we were there, but we were told that the meat may vary. When we travel back to the Covington area, we will definitely be staying at Homewood Suites again! My wife and I were very pleased with the spaciousness, cleaniness and comfort of the king suite. The kitchenette was nice, complete with microwave and refrigerator The hotel, however, was a little difficult to locate and the surrounding scenery was uninviting. The thermostat was somewhat difficult to adjust to keep the room temperature at a consistent […] level. Particularly annoying to me was the absence of newpaper racks. Great hotel if it wasn't for the rude hotel staff that works at night. I have stayed on two different occassions for both times for my keys not to work the second day.
