"New foyer, old busted rooms."
Don't judge this book by its cover. Had to wait 15 minutes for their system to recognize our hotels.com reservation even though I had my confirmation page. The beds were kind of hard. The furniture is dirty and stained. The sink stopper was missing. It wasn't until I was IN the shower that I realized the curtain rod was broken, so the shower curtain […] would not stay open. Handicap rail was partially hanging off wall. Someone obviously fell in the tub. I had to mop the floor with my towel. Front desk just said, "We have extra towels at the front desk if you want some." I had no desire to traipse through the hotel in my pajamas. To top it off, the outlet came right out of the wall when we went to unplug our phone charger the next morning. Mehr

Had a wonderful stay but here it was New Years day and check-out is not until noon and the cleaning ladies start pounding on our door at 10:00 in the morning and yelling something (remember I'm half asleep) plus unlocking our door to come on in!! Now last time I checked when you check-in to a hotel you are welcome to leave at check-out. I was happy […] with everything else but very unhappy with the cleaning ladies!! "Great Customer Service - bad breakfast"
The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful - we were very happy with the size of our room. The floor had several stains along with the chairs in our room. Breakfast on Saturday was good - Sunday the biscuits were hard - the gravy was very think, donuts were a day old and hard. All the food on Sunday seemed to be Saturdays left overs.

Upon check in which took all of 3 minutes (which was fantastic due to my late arrival schedule) I was greeted and immediately taken care of. The stay was without issues, the exercise facility was clean. Overall a very good stay for me and the family.

The room had so much dust that my allergies acted up for the entire 3 days and nights. Upon check-in, we were given keys. We opened the door and found someone else's things in the room, beds unmade etc. OOOOPPPS!! I hope that if someone opened my room by MISTAKE they would not steal my lap top?????? I did not feel as though the hotel cared a bit […] if I was there or not. I did not like that the room was not thoroughly cleaned. It was hard to find an attendant to help me. Mehr
"Needed an overnight spot. Great choice."
Was traveling for Thanksgiving and decided to leave right after work one day and spend the night halfway rather than drive it all the next day and get to our destination well after dark. Found this Country Inn & Suites to be a great deal. Staff was friendly and the hotel looked quite inviting. There was little to no parking around the main entrance […] and you have to park on the sides or in the rear, which was the only semi-drawback. Cookies were waiting at check-in, too. When parking on the side and using the side entrance we walked down the hall to the elevator. Most of those rooms were marked non-smoking, but there was a pretty strong odor of stale cigarette smoke there. Not sure why. The room was very nice. Tall ceilings, very adequate bathroom, comfortable beds, mini fridge and microwave with coffee maker and flat screen TV. Heat or a/c was not on when we arrived, so the air inside was a little stagnant, but nothing that wasn't fixed quickly. The cabinet with the fridge and microwave looked a little worse for wear, but everything else was pretty nice. Room smelled like it was painted recently because latex paint odor was evident, but not overpowering or anything. Guest laundry was a nice touch down the hall. Seems like the place was refurbished fairly recently. I always put the do not disturb sign out when I stay in hotels to avoid being woke up by housekeeping in the morning, but when morning came even by checkout time I didn't see a single cleaning person on our floor. Not a problem, just unexpected! The free breakfast was wonderful with fresh fruit, juices, cereal, fresh waffles, sausage, hash browns, scrambled eggs, hardboiled eggs, biscuits with sausage gravy....even your typical danishes, donutes and other muffins, too. Quite the variety and it was all well-stocked and hot. The staff in that area could've used a smile or two, but they definitely were not rude or anything. Mehr

Great hotel in terms of quality and price! Only down spot was quality of service in the breakfast room, which was just a little sub-par. The beds were a little firmer than I like. Other than that, we couldn't ask for a better experience in a 5-star hotel.

Upon checking in the desk clerk asked for my Drivers License and stated that the policy was that she had to make a copy of it to make sure I paid for the room. I reluctantly allowed her to make the copy with her assurance that upon checking out I could request the copy be returned. "A good night sleep"
Every time my mom and I come to Alabama, we try to stay at this hotel in Oxford. My aunt lives in Talladega, but we don't mind the drive because this hotel is WONDERFUL. "Eat Out For Breakfast"
The hotel nice and comfortalbe, but the breakfast was a bit cold. Maybe it was prepared hot. The food had not taste to it. The selection was not all that great either. I read previous reviews and had hoped for a better experience and now I see they are pretty much the same. Staty at the hotel, but EAT out for breakfast!

"Country Inn in Anniston Al Very pleased"
One of the best stays I have ever had in a hotel. And price was right. Breakfast could have been fresher,(i.e. in house restaurant) but all round exceptional. Loved the pool and sauna, the office and computers and the exercise room. The staff was excellent.

Stayed here for every July for the past 3-4 years. Usually nothing but excellent comments. This time experienced a room that was noticeably not cleaned. Had a large sticky spot right by the bed. It was cleaned the next day. Also reported a hole in the ceiling. Other than this experience it was acceptable. Very clean and comfortable. The kids loved the indoor pool and we really appreciate the laundry facility. The free "Hot" breakfast was a little skimpy. Day 1 - no meat....HOT was a waffle, toast, or hard biscut. Day 2 - no meat...HOT was a waffle, toast, egg taco?, or hard biscuits with EXTREMELY salty gravy (not sausage gravy). Day 3 - Meat, finally... […] some bacon to go with the waffles and hard biscuits. The only complaint with the room is the claim that the King Suite sleeps 4. It claims that the sofa pulls-out to a full size bed...it only folds out as a TWIN bed because it is a loveseat, not a full sofa. Fortunately, we had small children and were able to make it work. Overall, these were minor issues. The staff was great and we will return. Mehr

Stayed here over the 4th weekend, the staff was very nice and friendly. The bed was SO comfortable and the price was just right for a short trip. The hotel is close to eateries and shopping. I will stay there again...

Room was clean and super comfortable. Only minor complaint I have is that it would have been nice to have an ice machine on the third floor. The free breakfast was the standard stuff, but the quality was very good. The staff seemed eager to do a good job.
