Das Hostel liegt in der jüdischen Neustadtadt ca. 15 - 20 Fußminuten bis zur Altststadt entfernt. Das Hostel ist einfach aber einigermaßen sauber eingerichtet. Für Individualreisende, die keinen Wert auf Luxus legen und sich Jerusalem und die Umgebung anschauen wollen, ist dieses Hostel Ideal. Die Tourangebote sind gut. Besonders der Westjordanlandtrip mit dem Guide Tamer ist zu empfehlen. Der Service ist super. Hatten einige Extrawünsche wegen des weiteren Reiseverlaufs und die Mitarbeiter haben sich wegen Mietwagenbeschaffung und Hotelreservierungen echt viel Zeit genommen und waren sehr freundlich. Das im Preis enthaltene Frühstück ist einfach aber ok. Es gibt eine Bar und einen Billardtisch, so dass man nach einem anstrengendem Stadtbesichtigungstag auch noch entspannen kann. Einziger kleiner Nachteil: es ist recht laut. Ohrenstöpsel zuum schlafen mitbringen.

Das Hotel liegt in einem ruhigen Wohngebiet unweit der Ausfallstraße Derekh Hevron (Straße Nr. 60). Mit öffentlichen Bussen oder mit dem Auto ist man schnell in der Nähe der Altstadt. Das Hotelpersonal ist freundlich und es gibt ein gutes Frühstücksbuffet. Die Zimmer waren sauber. An kalten Wintertagen bei 5 Grad Außentemperatur ließen sich die Zimmer gut heizen. Für Jerusalem war das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis gut.

Die Zimmer sind relativ groß und sehr sauber. Das Hotelpersonal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstücksbuffet absolut empfehlenswert. Das Hotel liegt relativ zentral, da das Jaffa-Tor in 20 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar ist.

Das Hotel liegt ausserhalb des Zentrums. Es ist kein Problem sich mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln fort zu bewegen. Das Personal an der Reception war sehr hilfreich . Am Shabbat ist man allerdings auf Taxis angewiesen. Ein grosses Plus war der schöne Swimmingpool, da wir mitten im Sommer dort waren.
Lage
Prima Royale liegt in Jerusalem in der Nähe von Große Synagoge von Jerusalem, Klagemauer und Tempelberg. Nicht weit entfernt befinden sich: Felsendom und Heilig-Grab-Kirche.

"Great Hotel, Pitty about the Staff."
This was a very nice hotel spoiled by the aloofness (or plain unfriendliness) of the hotel staff. The room was very clean and well presented although the kids sofa bed was very small. The room as a whole was quite small for what it cost, but I guess that is Jerusalem. The breakfast was very disappointing after some fantastic breakfasts we had in Te […] l-Aviv. Mehr

The hotel is located in a very convenient area of jerusalem, opposite some of the nicest sites, including the lit up Monterfiori windmill and a wonderful view ( across the street) of the litup old city wall. The room was good and so was the overall feel of the hotel. But, and there are three buts: the reception staff were unfriendly, confused, and wanted […] to double charge me for my prepaid night's stay, and wouldn't stop arguing until I had to show them on my Ipad that you had actually confirmed the prepaid reservation. "Prima Royale Jerusalem"
Nice clean hotel. We enjoyed the stay. We spent four nights at this hotel. I cannot say this is an exceptional hotel, for the price we paid, the service and facilities were OK. I found the front reception person was a bit rude and blunt in his responses to questions. But I will still recommend this hotel.

it's in a great location, close to the Old City and Emek Refaim (neat neighborhoods); it was clean, breakfast was very good and it was just fine. But not a great value for the money -- it wasn't inexpensive and we expected more -- no free internet, small room, whole hotel could use an update.

"Not worth the price"
We had a "deluxe" room, it's really only big enough for one person, no seating area, limited place for clothes and very small bathroom. Dinner is very expensive. The underground parking is only for the brave and those with rental cars that have full coverage. Definitely would not return, very disappointed for the money spent ...there are much better […] choices in Jerusalem. Mehr

"All around great hotel"
This hotel was exactly what we were looking for - very comfortable, clean, modern, a very nice (large) breakfast buffet, and the perfect location. We will definitely return there on our next visit.

We stayed at the Prima for one night and found it perfect for a quick visit. The breakfast was great with music and sparkling wine and the room was clean and relatively large. All in all a good bargain.

Room was not large but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good, with the usual Israeli choices plus a number of other options (e.g., pancakes, waffles, etc). Parking garage will test your tight maneuvering skills, especially if you have a mid size or larger car. Staff was polite and helpful. Double bed was two single beds pushed together which was unsatisfactory and uncomfortable. When we complained we got moved to another room which had a double bed. If you are someone that expects body lotion or conditioner provided to be provided during your stay at a hotel, then this place is not recommended. "facilities fine, staffing mixed"
When I first arrived the receptionists, two of them, were talking to each other. They ignored me. When they finally acknowledged my presence, they were somewhere between formal and irritable. Not a good start. Later in the stay other receptionists were fine to excellent, but it took me several days for me to oevercome this inhospitable welcome. On […] the positive side, I needed to use a meeting room. The first price they quoted was several hundred dollars to use a stuffy, no-window log thin room with a non-movable boardroom table. That was frustrating, as I had committed already to the people who were scheduled to come to the meeting that it would be at the hotel. Eventually however we moved the meeting to an alternative space (also no windows but with flexible seating). They ended up also charging me nothing for all day use of the room, which went a long way toward upgrading my goodwill toward them. Again, the issue was who was in charge. Several were totally lovely, responsive and acccomodating. Other front desk staff were grumpy and rigid. The food is ok, with the one exception of the morning pancakes which I couldn't stop eating. Totally yummy. The best part of my stay there though was the evening singalong. One night two delightful performers set up shop at 9:00pm in the dining room, with a screen that had words to the songs. I loved it. Mehr

"Great choice near the old city"
We only stayed at this hotel one night on a two-day trip to Jerusalem, but I enjoyed our experience. The rooms were in quite good condition, and I appreciated both the free parking and the nice selection at the breakfast buffet. The front desk staff were very nice as well. The hotel was also in walking distance of the old city, though not so close as […] to be overrun by tourist traffic. My only complaint was that the internet access was relatively expensive. However, I was pleased with our experience overall and would be happy to return. Mehr

"Will stay here again..."
Much nicer than the lenardo and in a much nicer neighborhood that is close to the old city and German colony and all of the good eats. We were upgraded to a nice room and had coffee and tea service in the room. We liked it so much, we changed hotels to the Prima in Tel Aviv.
"Needs improvement"
The only thing going for this hotel was the location and price. The decor was outmoded, dreary and tired. Old fashioned lighting in the rooms is inadequate and the master switch malfunctioned. The service at the front desk was difficult or non-existent. The ultimate insult was being charged the equivalent of $3 for internet access and then on check […] out being charged again because they had no record of the $3 in cash having been paid at the time of use. Breakfasts were abundant in quantity but lacking in quality. The hotel is filled with tour groups and the dining room feels like a bustling train station atmosphere. Mehr
