This was our first stay at this hotel. We stay at others in montreal pretty regularly.. This was our first trip with just my son and left our 2 yr old home. Thinking looked like nice place and looking forward to relaxing in hot tub.. Turns out when we get there, it is out of service.. Very disappointed.. was the only thing really looking forward to. […] then we are told we are upgraded because they are booked solid, and drink bar in room would be free etc, executive suite.. turns out regular room.. wont stay again Mehr

it felt new. it was just a bit hard to find and the front desk lady wasn't helpful in providing directions (not on purpose--she just didn't know).

The hotel was great. Only issue was the shuttle service going to and fromt he airport. We were told we would get picked up when our plane landed at 1:30 am but when we called they said it wasn,t available after 10 pm. we had previously specifically asked about this and were told it wasn't an issue.

Says its close to airport. Buts still 15 mins to get there. Shuttle does not run all night.

Beautiful hotel, seems brand new. Spotless, well-appointed room. Very comfortable bed with duvet. Friendly courteous staff, happy to speak English to accommodate Anglophones. Only negative I have is the cost of breakfast in the hotel restaurant was high (although typical for hotels). Egg and bacon breakfast for 3 was ~$40. My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Novotel. It was nice to be able to have our dog with us in the room. The hot tub and pool were a nice bonus. The room was cozy and comfortable. The shuttle service was a great feature. Thank you!!

Even though this is an airport hotel, I didn't hear any planes flying overhead. It was clean and the staff was very nice. I stayed six nights, and I spent my time on the West Island. When I return to Montreal I will stay at this hotel again.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed here since july. my daughter now goes to McGill University so we will be frequent visotors. We have been happy with the room, service and meals. Located outside or downtown Montreal is a plus. We then take public transportation downtown. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and the rooms are large and comfortable. very good hotel, good room and good service, worth to stay

This is the third time we stayed at the Novotel Aeroport Hotel prior to flying south. It is very convenient to get to from the highway coming in from Ottawa. We also take advantage of the free parking they provide while away. They do have a shuttle that can transport you to the airport but the only inconvenient thing about the shuttle is that it only […] starts at 06:00. Great location, extremely clean and classy decore, great room and amenities, staff is very efficient, polite and helpful... 5 start value at 3 start price. Great for business travel and weekend getaway.

Its really in the middle of nowhere. Nothing around at all. As it is a newer hotel I thought that it would be too new to be weary; I was wrong.. As soon as I opened the room door I saw a large raised crease/bubble in the thin wall to wall carpet. The tile grout in the shower stall, along the floor edges, was grey with mildew and stain. Since we travel with our dogs, finding real pet friendly place is a necessity...reasonably priced and located 20 minutes from downtown Montreal, the airport Novotel was very convenient to get to all the main tourist destinations; since it was Labor Day weekend the traffic issues were much less than normal...the staff was friendly and extremely helpful […] and the hotel ambience is very nice...the location is awkward to get to since it is located in the vicinity of a technology park and it is really not near any stores or restaurants although a ten minute drive can get you to shopping and food areas. We strongly recommend this hotel for anyone with pets, but kids will be bored (they do have a nice indoor pool and exercise room). Mehr

I would highly recommend this hotel. The room was very nice and customer friendly. Everything you needed was available to you. Didn't try anything from the kitchen, so I can't comment on that.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel 3 days to visit Montreal. The service were very nice, the location is good (right on hwy 40) and the rooms wre great. Very recommended.

A modern, clean and conveniently located hotel with fair rates and a euro accent. I would recommend this hotel.

This hotel was beautiful, modern and comfortable. We were there for a night on a stop over. For an "airport" hotel it wasn't very close and for the "shuttle" you need to book in advance. The restaurant will do the trick if you just need food but the quality is not great and is over priced. We originally just wanted to order delivery as there was nothing […] appealing on the menu but after calling numerous places, the hotel is inconveniently located so most places do not deliver there. If you just need a place to rest your head its decent for the price but don't forget to book your shuttle or you will be waiting outside for awhile! Mehr

We states there for a concert at the hippodrome and a cab came in five min to pick us up since it was so close to the airport. Great food great room great service. Too bad we couldn't walk back to hotel. It's in the middle of freeways. Also bathroom door is glass and provides minimal privacy.

Great hotel! Would stay there again, but pillow was dirty.

Very nice hotel !

Great place to stay - beds were great - rooms were clean and smelled good. Only down-side is that the room doors don't lock necessarily. You have to run your card through a second time to make sure the door locks behind you. (Or else use the chain or dead-bolt)

We enjoyed staying at Novotel. We we're there for a week. Very friendly staff - clean and nice hotel. Location could be better - but not a problem as we had a car.

Staff were very nice, room was good, bed comfy, only 3 pillows as apposed to 4 but all in all pretty nice. Location dreadful but we were in Mtl. for a party.

The quality and service at this hotel is top notch, they will readily speak to you in English or French. Great place to stay if you don't mind driving to get around. The Angrignon Metro station is an easy 15 minute drive away, one can realistically leave the hotel and be downtown in 45 minutes this way. I chose this hotel because it was near the airport and had a gym. It is considerably further away from the airport, in the middle of nowhere, than the real airport hotels, and the gym did not have a bike. The pasta I ordered by room service was awful -even I could have done a better job - but its saving grace was the small portion; the accompanying […] bread was also of poor quality. When I complained the receptionist said she was very sorry. For an airport hotel, there are better options. Mehr

The only Montreal Airport Hotel that doesn't provide a free shuttle after 10pm very disappointing every other nearby hotel has a bus waiting. No where near as close to the airport as all of the others, a 10 minute taxi ride which costs $26-$30! I also hate the way a lot of the hotels in Canada do not provide even a kettle or t-bag just a drip pot and […] coffee.... what about those of us who don't drink coffee?????? Mehr

The Novotel is a small-ish hotel with comfortable rooms, free wi-fi and a pretty good buffet breakfast. The advanatges for the hotel are: comfortable beds, free parking, free wi-fi, decent hot tub and free breakfasts for children under age 15. The biggest disadvatage is location. The hotel is not near anything. Having a car is an absolute must. Even […] then it's a 10 minute drive to restaurants. Downtown is an easy 20 minute drive. If you are looking for good value for dollars spent, stay here. If you want convenience to walk to restaurants and activities, stay elsewhere. Mehr

This hotel is located at the opposite end of the airport access road. The shuttle service does not begin until 6am ( something that was not referenced anywhere in their posting or website), not very useful if you have an early morning flight. The taxi fare to the terminal was $20, and to top it of, the business center printer did not work, so I could […] not even print my boarding pass. Mehr

While the rooms are comfortable, the hotel is not convenient to anything except the Montreal Technopark business area. Housekeeping is hit or miss (very slipshod). One of the best features of the hotels is that kids under 16 eat breakfast for free if acompanying an adult.

The people working at the Novotel seems to be very nice, and try to be helpful, but they seem to lack a common set of rules and guidelines for their services. One person says one thing, and another says something totally different. For example: we ate dinner there and my wife ordered a steak medium, and no onions because she is allergic to onions. The […] meal came out, and the salad had onions, which the waiter noticed as he was walking over to us, and said he would have a fresh salad made, while he went back for that, my wife cut the steak, and it was cooked Well. When the waiter returned with the salad she told him the steak was not Medium, and he said the only fix would be to cook a new one, and he'd check to see if he could do that. He came back very quickly and said yes, he would have a new steak made. At this point my wife asked if it was possible to order a side of green veggies because what was on the plate were mostly carrots, he said yes of course, but he would just ask the chef to add a few more greens to the veggies on the next plate. The new steak came out and it was RARE, not even warm in the middle! My wife thought maybe she could just eat around the sides, but I told her we need to send it back, and they could just cook it a little longer. Also the veggies where the same mix of mostly carrots. So the waiter came over and we showed him the steak, and the veggies. He agreed and took the steak back, and returned with a chesse and veggie plate for us as we waited for the steak. The steak came back and it was perfect this time. Our waiter was very nice through the whole ordeal, and didn't charge us for the chesse and veggie plate. Mehr

We decided to spend the night in Montreal as a small getaway from Ottawa as we had to pick up some family members from the Montreal airport on Saturday afternoon. We arrived around 9 PM on the Friday and check-in was a breeze. We immediately asked for a late check-out on Saturday and we were given a 1 PM check-out time that was perfect for us. The […] room is large and spacious and the bed is extremely comfortable! You would not want to stay in one room with someone who you are not comfortable with as the bathroom doors do not close to form a solid seal so you remain a bit exposed! The hotel was easy to get to using the GPS and it was also easy to get to a shopping mall as long as you have a car. Overall, this was a great hotel for its purpose. It is clean, new and the price is right. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a cheap night out in Montreal or who is looking to be close to the airport for a next-day flight! Mehr

Very clean and modern; great staff. Food at the restaurant downstairs was also great.

The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean and neat, and the rooms were very modern and stylish! The room had a great european feel to it, and the headboard for the bed had these really cool touch lights on it right next to the bed! It was pretty nice all in all. The only issue my girlfriend and I had was that we dont think the bed was very comfortable. […] We would get up in the morning, and feel very tired just a couple hours later. It didn't seem like we got very good sleep on their beds unfortunately. Other than that, I would recommend this hotel highly for it's cleanliness and it's great location to everything. Nothing in Montreal took us more than 15-20 minutes to reach from this hotels location. Also, before booking, I had read that many people had a hard time finding this hotel...if you have a GPS or call the hotel for the directions, we had no issues finding or getting to the hotel at all. Being our first time in Montreal and travelling on a tight budget, we found this hotel via loads of internet searching, and got it for a fairly decent price, considering it was a 2 night stay. It was enjoyable. Though located closer to the airport, it was not far from the city by car, which was convenient. The staff were very polite, and the amenities […] were useful, especially the complimetary internet access. The rooms were incredibly comfortable and well-kept, which made the stay more enjoyable. The beds were incredible, and I had the best sleep of my life there. All in all, i would recommend this hotel to anyone who is making a short trip to Montreal and needs a place to stay for a reasonable rate. I would only warn that you be prepared to find a way to travel to the city. And not expect a view. But otherwise, c'est tres bien! Mehr

Can't say anything bad about the hotel. Excellent hotel. However, the location of the hotel is in a place where it is hard to get to from highway. You can see the hotel from highway, but can't find exit!! Same thing is getting to airport- the roads near Montreal Airport are Soooo goofy, the getting to airport on time was very stressful.
