We had a wonderful Honeymoon and the room was ok. The bathroom was a little small and the bed did not sleep well!! But all in all in was a great location and all the employees were very nice and the room was very nice!!!

Our stay was okay. There was a group of VT students there on spring break, so the pool area was pretty bad. It was too cold to go to the outdoor pool, so that made it worse. We only stayed 1 of our 2 night booking because of a family emergency back home, but it wasn't too bad. The room was clean enough, the shower was horrible in that it was like getting […] rained on instead of a shower head, but that is pretty much the norm in most hotels. The people there seemed friendly enough and they were nice enough to give us some info on coming back at a discounted rate during the off season since we had to leave so quickly. Oh, and the parking was horrible. We ended up having to park about 1 and 1/2 blocks away because there was absolutely no parking near the hotel. Mehr

Hotel staff were helpful and friendly. The view from our oceanview balcony was beautiful. The room was nice, but it needed a little extra cleaning and the ac unit was noisy. Overall this was a great trip, and the hotel was great for the price.

I know you get what you pay for. The service at check in took forever! There was just not enough people working to take care of the 4 groups checking in!

The good: variety of pools/lazy river. The hotel is on the strip so you can walk to some of the attractions. They also have 2 parking lots and the housecleaning staff was friendly. The bad: the check in staff was not friendly,the elevator was scary and made a scraping sound as it dropped, the walls are very thin and the WiFi was not working on the […] fourth floor. The beds were the worse beds I have EVER slept in. I could feel each spring when I laid down. The shower lacked hot water during" busy" times ie. In the morning. Ugly: I guess i shouldn't expect total luxury, the hotel served its purpose and now that I know what to expect,I can be better prepared if I have to stay there again. With that being said, I would stay there again but I wouldn't be excited about it. Mehr

The room had a stale smell to it. The hallways and elevators stayed trashed. Rude guests. The only thing missing was the roaches in the bathtub.

was not happy at all. had to ask for towel, wash clothes, told it approx 20 minutes got them 2 hrs later. told housekeeping on saturday we did not need anything, wemt out came back they entered the room our belongings were moved around. have stayed there before but not planning to again at this time.

The Bad: The room was ok. We had an efficacy and the stove was is non-working order. The safe was missing the lock so I could not use. The TV was about 15 years old and 19”. No water pressure in the shower and the hot water was lacking daily. The Good: The maid service was great. The view from the room was wonderful.

The room and location were excellent. However, the indoor heated pool was only big enough for the 7 tween boys who easily filled it. The boys weren't bad, the pool was too small for the facility. The endless lazy river had 3 tubes in it and was full. Neither the outdoor pool nor the lazy river were heated, but they were not advertised as being overly […] seasonal. For these reasons I would choose another facility for spring break. It would probably be ok for the summer, though the lazy river & outdoor pools are still quite small. Mehr

We only stayed one night and enjoyed the closeness of a variety of activities Myrtle Beach has to offer. Room was nice. The only problem we encountered was the amount of time it took to check us in.

The front desk personnel were professional and helpful but slow to answer telephone calls and the wifi internet connection was horrible and unusually slow. Because of the poor wifi and the poor quality of cellphone services in Myrtle Beach, I was forced to rely on the books left in my room to learn about area attractions. This worked fine, but I have […] never stayed in a hotel or motel with such a poor connection. The hotel is in a great location and it is "just good enough" as far as comfort and cleanliness, though the hallways are dimly lit which makes one question the overall cleanliness of this hotel. The parking facilities and nearby attractions were conveniently located but I will try another hotel on my next visit to the area since there are so many similar hotels like this nearby and I can't think of a good reason to choose this one particular hotel over any other. Hotel room was clean, staff was very friendly. HOWEVER the walls must have been made of paper, we could hear everything that was going on and said in the room next door. Our first night stay there was a party going on in the next room that lasted until 3am. The second night the party started again so I called the front desk and asked them to PLEASE […] do something about the people next door. Security came to the room and discovered a group of underage people with a huge amount of alcohol in the room. The police came and after about an hour all people were removed from that room. The third night there were kids running in the halls, screaming and yelling. So after 3 nights of no sleep we were ready to go back home to get some rest. Apparently there are no guidelines as to who rooms are rented to. We will never again stay at the Sandcastle Mehr

The location was Great! The Hotel was very outdated and uncomfortable! The beds were old and you could feel the springs through the mattress. The Hotel was very noisy! with the doors closed you could hear conversations outside and we were on the 6th floor. I booked 8 days and left after 5 because my daughter was woke up at 3 times every night after […] she went to sleep. I would not stay there again no matter what the price. We thought the place was very clean and well maintained...but super small!! Four of us in one room was very crowded! The beds need new mattresses. The price was great, but a different hotel would have been much more comfortable. I would pay a little more for more space and comfy beds!

Slightly dated hotel but clean and very good service. Excellent location and beautiful view. Pools, hot tub and lazy river were great. Beach access was very good. Smaller room with two queens but worth the money for sure.

Nice and convenient location. Extremely good service from all except one grumpy night desk clerk. LOL! He was probably just tired. The rooms are a bit shabby but they are very clean. Overall it was a good stay. Not sure I'd go again unless they renovated. Also, we were in an efficiency with a microwave, coffee maker and small refrigerator. Great that it was close to and walkling distance to everything (boardwalk, pavillion, beach, restaurants, etc). Had a great time & was very pleased with hotel....hope to stay again soon. The only thing was it was spring break and there was alot of noise all through the night, but other than that....it was great!!!

This place is in a great location. The hotel is what it is. It is a little older but was acceptable . We got what we wanted out of the hotel, a place to sleep, indoor and outdoor pools , and on the ocean.

When we checked in the first night, there wasn't any soap or shampoo in the bathroom. There was still hair on the wall of the shower. The hallway looks like it could use some maintenance and another coat of paint. I have stayed in this hotel 3 times in the last 4 years and is the first time I've been disappointed.

The hotel is in a very great location for entertainment and the beach. The issue is lack of parking for hotel customers and it is a pain to walk to the additional parking which they have that is about 3 blocks away. The rooms itself had old decor from the 80's in it from the bedding to the TV. The balcony door would not lock and that is a security problem […] if you have high dollars valuables in the room. Mehr

Hotel was well located, beach front and on ocean blvd. Unfortunately the room apparently had been previously occupied by smoking occupants and reeked of stale cigarette smell. There were cigarette burns on tv, coffee pot, bath tub. Staff very graciously sprayed the room to temporarily eliminate some of the oder, but,,,,,,. The room it's self was 'rennovated' […] with paint and new carpet but still needed more. The staff was attentive and did accommodate requests for spraying and directions to points of interest. Overall, the accommodations were not what I had expected for the price I had paid. Mehr

So after driving 150 miles to Hotel, I had to use restrooms but there was none in the lobby. Staff was very pleasant though and give me room key almost immediately to go to use restroom. Room was very very clean, we got the ocean view we requested and the a/c actually worked well, the balcony railing was sturdy and I was comfortable letting my kids […] out there. Downside -- indoor pool and spa area was very very small and temperature was great. There were only 4 chairs and a small round stone table with a half bench for seating. The "Cafe" on the premises was an over-priced Italian restaurant which had decent food and was very clean. Would I stay here again absolutely yes but have to seek out different eating places. Mehr

After driving 5 hours we arrived late night. I parked in the 15 minute space and walked in. Standing at the counter I searched for my drivers licensing for check in. Without a second to recollect my thoughts the night clerk Chris blurts "Well I WON'T be checking you into my hotel without your ID it policy. I assured him I must have left it in my car. […] I also told him we had just stayed a couple of weeks prior. His attitude became nasty. He barked about policy and yes informed us HE WAS THE BOSS. I was to tired to question his attitude. However I found my ID which happened to be in between a folded piece of paper in my pocketbook...So he finally checks us in. We walk outside and next door. Reach our room only to discover it was NOT clean. We took pictures and went back to the front desk. My mind and wit assures me CHRIS did it on purpose. However morning personal who I informed of my night said, no he probably didn't know. Blah..blah..blah... I believe in my heart he did...When all we wanted to do was enjoy our favorite getaway spot MYRTLE BEACH. I personally won't be going back..The room we did get was clean, excellent view, close to everything..HOWEVER, make sure you have your ID in hand if you check in at night. Or the BOSS Chris might be forced to explain to you policy, how he's the boss and give you a dirty room for asking if he was ok and why he felt he had to be so nasty... My sister and I needed a girls weekend. This was a good room for the price and we walked to the boardwalk for shopping and restaurants. My only complaint is that the bed was a little bit hard for me. Other than that..it was o.k. I would stay there again.

I didn't appreciate not receiving complete services to my room. My linen was not changed during the visit, and the towel service was incomplete. I also didn't get to enjoy the hot tub due to the children swimming in it, and it was extremely smoky in the room.

We had a great time, right in the middle if everything..My 7 yr old son had n awesome time, the arcade was in walking distance and we had the indoor pool...The nascar go-kart park wasnt in walking distance but it was very close. We had a ball, really enjoyed ourselves and hope to go back very soon.

I read all about the bad reviews this hotel got after I booked my room. I was scared to show up. Once I entered the hotel I started looking for the things that other people were complaining about. Yes there is only one elevator, but people need to learn patience. If your that much in a hurry use the stairs. When I got into my room I immidiatly checked […] the bathroom to see if it was dirty. The bathroom was cleaner than I am able to keep my own bathroom. I did not see any cockroaches. While the t.v. in the living room area of my room was small and out dated, the t.v. in my bedroom of my room was nice, but it didn't matter to me any way cause I was there for the beach and attractions, I had no plans on using the t.v. The internet did suck, but thats what happens to wifi when there is alot of people connecting. I only needed the internet when I went to leave on a Monday in order to get directions back and the internet worked just fine for that. While the people at the front desk didn't seem interested on why I was there, they were never rude. The cleaning crew was amazing. Even though I never had them clean my room while I was staying, every time I seen one of them they were extreamly friendly and showed interest in me and my husband. The indoor pool was really nice and warm. Once I turned the heat up, the hot tub was amazing. Now to address the sand being everywhere. HELLO your at the beach, deal with it. Mehr
