Super 8 La Vale Cumberland - La Vale

It was a great weekend stay.We enjoyed visiting the shops and restaurants arount town. We were satisfied with the brekfast and it wasn't crowded which i liked also.The pillows were very flat but we ask for extra and had no problem getting extra.We would defnitely stay again.

Stayed four days with no issues

very good hotel, no problems except the toilet stopped flushing on our last night but very comfortable and pleasant. friendly staff.

The room was super clean. The staff was very helpful and attentive.

We chose this motel because it was close to the Western MD Railroad and had a low rate. The clerk accomodated my request for a quiet room (in the back) but when we checked in at 3:30 PM it was not ready. We had stink bugs in our room, and the desk lady brought up a vacuum to get rid of them, even climbing on a chair to get the one on the ceiling! Breakfast […] was fine - bagels, cereal, donuts, danishes, coffee, fruit cups, juices, milk. Fine low budget place to stay. Mehr

The reservation was really easy. The registration at the motel couldn't have been more pleasant. The carpet in the hallways was stained and looked dirty and there was an unpleasant odor. The bathroom was clean, but the room had an unpleasant odor and i wasn't sure the spread was clean.

We arrived there and check in was fine. It was a busy weekend in the area, most hotels were booked. This was my first time staying in this hotel. Usually we try to get non-smoking rooms, but because they were booked we stayed in a smoking room. Upon entry to the room, there was a strong smoke smell. We opened the window and turned in the fan. That helped. […] The bathroom was clean, but there was a strange odor. The smell was dealt with by spraying air freshner. The hotel has been recently renovated, and the upgrades looked good. Later on when we got into the beds, the sheets, blanket, and pillows, had no smoke smell. A definite plus. Good hotel for the price. Mehr

This hotel completely fit our purposes. It was a central location for our weekend plans. Plus, the breakfast was a lot better than I had anticipated.

I felt the hotel was very nice. It fit my purpose just fine. The hotel was clean, nest and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

renovations ongoing and they put me in a room when someone else was still there

At check-in, we were told that they no longer had 2 rooms side by side. We had specifically asked for this when making our reservation as my wife and I were staying with our elderly grandparents. We were also told, when checking in at 3:30 PM, that one of the two rooms had not been cleaned yet and would not be available for another hour or two. This […] again was a tremendous inconvenience for my elderly grandparents who were exhausted from their travels. In addition, the room and bathroom were not cleaned very well. Not a pleasant trip... This hotel was unclean, noisy, and smelled like chemicals to cover up a nasty smoke smell. The windows were so dirty that there were spiderwebs and dirt in the window tracks. I never saw the promised paper and the battery cover on the remote kept falling off and then the batteries went flying. Breakfast did not happen as the room it was served in was […] dark, dingy, and unclean. No thank you! I would not reccomend this hotel to anyone and I will not be staying here again. Mehr

I will never stay here again - all the receptionist was concerned about was talking on her cell phone - she was not concerned about the couple of problems in the room

A bit noisy due to talking in halls and also a group of West Virginia teenage cheerleaders loudly chattereing and constant going in and out of their rooms and letting doors slam at 11 PM and 7 AM

This was a friendly and pleasant hotel right off the interstate. It had no frills, but was clean and comfortable. It was good to have my dog in the room with me.

This hotel was a little too much money. The room was clean enough, but repairs and serious upgrades are needed for the amount they charged us.
