Wonderful hotel very friendly and helpful staff . The food was superb lots of choice, It was a relaxing holiday as there was no children . We paid extra for a sea view which was well worth the money all in all we had a great holiday and wouldn't hesitate to go back.

This was our first trip to Cyprus and had no idea what to expect; we were just hoping for some sun and a relaxing time. We chose half-board - more than enough with super breakfasts and buffet style multi-course dinner. Hotel staff are very courteous and the service is great. We went when […] the hotel was around 90% full and there was no panic over sun-loungers - all in pairs - although there were one or two towels down before 8 am! We were there to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday and there was a nice touch with balloons pinned to our door when we got back to our room after the first day. Fantastic location and position, its the staff that make this hotel a great place to stay as they look after you really well. The food choice and quality is superb, the only slight negative might be that the evening entertainment is underwelming though you are able to visit other nearby sister hotels should you wish.

Athena Royal Beach Hotel is a great value proposition. We were booked into the hotel on a bed-and-breakfast basis, but soon realised it was unusually, less expensive to eat dinner in the hotel, rather than at a local restaurant. So we took advantage of an offer to upgrade to half-board for four nights of our stay. The management of the hotel are of […] the listening variety of management. Constantly monitoring feedback from guests and making upgrades and changes in their offering to attract repeat business, recommendations and new business. This hotel provides good service delivered with a smile. The management and staff are proactive, always looking for ways to provide better service and guest satisfaction. On arrival my new wife and I mentioned in passing it was our honeymoon. Within a day a special congratulations notice appeared on our room door together with some balloons and ribbon. Later that evening there was a knock at the door and we were presented with a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine complete with glasses ready to serve. Mehr

Probably one of the best hotels in Paphos. I stayed here over Easter with a friend, the Hotel was impeccably clean, modern and the staff friendly and always accommodating. Although it was the school holidays there were no children staying at the hotel and it was mostly couples so a great place for a child free get away. Th location was perfect, sun […] loungers set out on a lush lawn, and around the pool, backing on to the promenade and a stones throw from the beach. They have a nice pool side cafe where you can have lunch in the shade of the the olive trees. The breakfast buffet was vast, varied and good quality. We were staying on a breakfast only basis, so every evening took a very pleasant 20 min stroll along the seafront to the main town where there was a good choice of excellent restaurants. There was however a good choice of buffet and a la carte dining at the hotel if you were staying half/full board. I'm sure in high season it must be extremely busy but, if i was coming back to Paphos i would definitely stay here again, very impressed. Mehr

Our stay confirmed what other reviewers have said. This hotel goes out of its way to meets its customers needs in every way. All staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Facilities are excellent and food very good. This was our first experience of cyprus and we would not hesitate to return to this hotel. Catering for the older person (60+) at least at this time of year (November). Relaxing and spacious with good outdoor seating areas and pools. The "beach" was mainly rock and so sea swimming was problematic. Breakfast buffet was fresh and good. Evening buffet also good but more or less the same every night. We just returned from a 2 week stay and cannot really fault thius hotel in any way. The best thing for us was the absence of other peoples' children, which led to the most relaxing holiday we have ever experienced. Next to that, the friendliness of all the staff, without exception, was remarkable and seemed genuine. By the time we left, many of the […] staff seemed like old friends. The room was clean, comfortable and adequately sized, though we were lucky to have a room with a full view of the sea and the pools. What a view when we opened the curtains each morning! Anyone booking should take care to choose the right room: those with limted sea views are also smaller. It was nice having a hotel that was so quiet as we needed to relax. It was a little strange not having any children around, but that made it more relaxing. We felt like the youngsters at the hotel even though we're in our 40's - the average age of guests is older which just meant no wild parties. The food was good quality although somewhat limited in […] creativity and variety. The themed nights were not obvious when actually dining as the food was similar most nights. The weather when we were there was fantastic - blue skies each day. No real beaches in Paphos from what we saw - you needed to go off a jetty to get into the sea in front of the hotel. The "town" is about 1/2 hours walk along the coast - good walkway all along the sea front. If you really want to relax and soak up the sun - this is the place to go. Mehr
