Das Zimmer war klein, aber sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Das Frühstück war für ein continental breakfast sehr vielseitig. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfbereit. Direkt um die Ecke ist eine U-Bahn-Station mit direkter Verbindung zum Time Square. Auch am späten Abend war die Gegend noch recht belebt, aber nicht mehr sehr einladend. There is a metro station just around the corner with a good connection to times square. At night there is still some traffic on the street but the area is not too inviting. But we felt save. Wir hatten ein Hotel gesucht, von dem wir es nicht weit ins Zentrum Manhattans hatten. Wir hatten schon so viele negative Geschichten über sehr teure Hotels in Manhatten gehört, so dass wir uns lieber für die Variante Long Island City entschieden haben. Die Metro/Subway fährt quasi fast direkt vor der Tür los und man ist nur 4 Haltestellen vom Times […] Square weg. Subway fahren in New York ist m.E. kein Problem, man könnte die kurze Strecke aber sicher auch günstig in einem Taxi fahren (z.B. in der Nacht). Das Hotel liegt direkt neben einer Art Schrottplatz. Aber den merkt man eigentlich nicht, da er hinterhalb liegt. Man hat einen schönen Blick auf die Manhattan Skyline. Die Zimmer sind nicht gerade groß, aber sauber. Das Personal war hilfsbereit und nett. Das Frühstück war für amerikanische Verhältnisse i.o. (Süßkram, Toast, Äpfel, Cornflakes, Kaffee, Saft). Also wenn man keine Angst vor der Subway hat, eine günstige, nahe Lösung und eine super Alternative zu einem Hotel direkt in Manhatten. Mehr

Das Hotel ist große Klasse, nur die Gegend ist nicht die Beste! Aber in 5 Minuten ist man mit der Metro in Manhattan und für eine Städtetour, bei der man für das Hotel nicht ganz so viel ausgeben will, ist das genau das Richtige! Ich war sehr begeistert und würde es jederzeit wieder buchen!

Sehr günstige Übernachtungsmöglichkeit. Bis zum Times Square sind es circa 10 Minuten mit der Metro. Die MetroStation befindet sich knapp 100 m vom Hotel und die Metros fahren in kurzen Abständen. Das Hotel ist nicht sehr groß, aber zweckmäßig eingerichtet, Frühstück war inklusive wie auch die kostenlose Internetnutzung. einfaches hotel in unmittelbarer nähe der subway. wer ny kennt, weiß, dass diese stadt pulsiert und laut ist - der verkehr ist auch im zimmer zu hören. der so oft zitierte schrottplatz hinter dem haus existiert wirklich - stört aber einen ny-entdecker keinesfalls. wir gingen morgens aus und kamen abends müde zurück. das hotel erfüllte alle erwartungen […] und entsprach exakt den beschreibungen. der kleine frühstücksraum war für uns auch kein hindernis - wir nahmen das frühstück meist im zimmer ein. es war für uns (40) die richtige wahl. die anderen gäste waren meist jünger aber weder laut noch unangenehm. gerne wieder! We picked this hotel because it was close to the subway and it did not disappoint. The hotel is a 2 minute walk to the subway and is also convenient to use transit to get to the LaGuardia airport - just subway and 1 bus. The breakfast provided is good though it is the same every morning. Beds are comfortable and rooms were nice and clean. Stayed 2 nights. Hotel was decently clean, staff was helpful, reponsive and courteous. Breakfast was good for the rate they were charging. Very close to Queensborough Plaza station, 15 minutes ride to 34th St. Only problem is the noise from neighboring construction sites which can keep you up at night.

Great location, fine room, great heater, good staff. I stay at fine hotels in Vegas frequently and am used to having something (like an extra sheet) covering the blanket, something the Comfort Inn does not do. If the blanket in the room was not exposed I would rate this hotel a "5".

The room was clean and well kept as well as the hotel. The price was reasonable considering the amenenities, the breakfast and the zize. It is very good if you are just staying the night or just need a break from real-life.

We booked the Comfort Innn Long Island City because Manhattan Hotels were extremely expensive in September. Room was clean and the size was ok. Room and Bathroom looked pretty new and were cleaned daily. Location is 1 block away from subway; Several lines bring you to to Manhattan quickly. A few services nearby: deli, minimarket etc. But also many […] empty buildings or construction in progress. Never felt unsafe walking to Hotel at night. Next time I would book a Manahattan hotel for the better location: close to Restaurants, attractions etc. But I do recommend this hotel if other hotel prices go sky-high in the popular months. Good location..it is a great price for travellers with budget. The room is smaller then I expect, but it’s safe and proper. I did find the room floor is uneven to walk on,but its not a big deal after you get use to it.

This hotel is located right at the end of Queensborough bridge in Long Island City. Overall we were pretty satisfied with the value we got for the money paid. It was pretty safe to walk late at night too. Pros: 1. One stop to Manhattan. Two subway stations within 5 min walk 2. Decent sized rooms for NYC standards 3. We were on a budget but needed to be close to Manhattan and this hotel was the closest to the city out of all the others along the "N" train. The reviews I checked were right on. The staff was outstanding and the hotel was clean with a nice breakfast each morning. The neighborhood was a little sketchy but we never felt uneasy after day one. The hotel was located closely to the subway station, which was convenient to travel around the city. We found a great parking spot on the street right in front of the hotel. Although we were a little worried about parking on the street, it was actually very safe because it is in an industrial area, and a bonus because it was free. Great price for the location. Quick subway ride to Manhattan. Subway station is about 500ft away from hotel. Parking is available nearby, hassle free. Street parking is available or you can pay a daily fee at a lot up the street. I would recommend this hotel. For the money you give you get good accommodation next to the beating heart of NY. The only shock was the surrounding to which I got used after while. The hotel is great value for a tourist weekend in NYC. Getting to Manhattan is really easy, and we were able to park hassle free and for free on the street very close by to the hotel.

Hotel was generally fine, very good location in Queens near the subway. The neighborhood looks a little run-down, but maybe that's just New York in this part of Queens. There is no hotel parking, you must find street parking. I was a little afraid to keep my car on the street, but nothing happened. (Although to be fair, there was glass on the ground […] in another place I saw, not sure if that was a result of theft or accident). Hotel staff was mixed - one guy was very nice, one guy was rude. The morning breakfast WAS AWESOME. A full breakfast included in the price. Room was a bit small, but that's expected in New York. Still very clean, bathroom was clean and had lots of light. Mehr

Is a 2 star hotel, but worth it. It you're just looking for a place to sleep at night, this is your hotel. The hotel is 1 mintue, 1 block from the train station. *There is no elevators at the Queensboro Plaza Station, so if you are bringing luggage, I suggest using the Queens Plaza Station, 2 blocks away from the hotel, which does have an elevator. It […] is near an industrializred area, but it was ok to walk from the train station to the hotel at night. The room was quite small, but it had a bed, desk, chair, and moderately sized bath room. The TV was old school and the picture color was off, but I was on vacation, so the TV isn't a big part of my vacation. There is high speed internet, wireless, that you have to connect every day, but easily done. The room did smell of, "water damage", is what I kept referring to it.. Like there was water leaking somewhere, none that I saw, and was drying up. Also, because the subway station is so close, and they run all night long, sometimes you could here the horn from the room. This hotel definitely exceeds my expectation. Three things I really like: 1. The staff are really helpful. 2. Convenient to substation. 3. Free breakfast! For a two-star hotel, this is much more than you can expect. Definitely would come again.

I went to NYC on a hotel budget...why spend lots of money on a hotel that I am going to sleep in and thats it? I went to New York to see and experience NYC, not stay in the room! This is the perfect place to stay for people who want to spend their hard earned money on life, not lodging...probably not so good if you need to be pampered!...prices for […] hotels unbelievable in Manhattan...This hotel is in an industral area but never felt uncomfortable and there is a great sandwich shop on the corner! The subway station is right there with a very short ride to wherever you want to go! Room is small but I hear all rooms are small in NYC and staff were nice and helpful, room was clean and maids did well keeping it that way! The only bad thing I have to say about this location is if you have too much to drink or don't feel like taking the subway at night (which is perfectly safe), the cab drivers in downtown are not used to comming over the bridge and they get confused where the hotel is located! Make sure you take some cards from the hotel lobby and tell them you are at the base of the lower queensburrow bridge. Mehr

Hotel is about a 15 min ride on the metro to times square. The location isn't bad but there really isn't anything in the area. The Metro is a short block away and I felt fairly safe walking the area at night. The only problem I had was as other reviewers have posted there is a scrapyard across the street and we had the misfortune of having it outside […] our window. But overall if your just looking for a place to sleep and a rate that is much lower than hotels in the city Comfort Inn LIC is a good choice. Mehr

My experience tracked with that of other reviewers; this hotel had good facilities and excellent location for a budget hotel. It had been recently renovated, was clean with fairly big rooms, and had all the usual amenities, but don't expect glamour. Overall, it was a good value for the price. It is within 100 meters of the elevated subway line, so light […] sleepers should bring earplugs. The noise didn't interfere much with my sleep, although I'm a very light sleeper. The surrounding neighborhood is a light industrial area and looks rundown and dirty, but felt quite safe even after dark (kids, women, and office workers were still around). The neighborhood isn't gentrified yet, it's the "real" New York. Not many good sit-down restaurants close by, but many corner shops and cafes for carryout. Ask the desk clerk for directions to the more trendy areas within 20 mins walk or just go in to Manhattan if you want a nice dinner out. Hotel breakfast was adequate but the coffee was the worst I've had. Solved this problem by walking 10 meters out the lobby door to get a cuppa from the sidewalk cart vendor each morning. Mehr

OK beds, free internet, free newspaper, all the normal stuff: TV, coffee in room, a/c, etc., nice bathrooms. free on street parking The bad: nothing is very close in this neighborhood, very limited eating options within a short walk. Room is small. a bit noisy, […] but it is NYC. Window view is a large dump. Top floor is hot in the summer; my room never cooled down and I had to move. Pros: Very good rooms, decent staff, 2 minutes from the QueensBoro Subway Station and 3 minutes from Queens Plaza, giving access to wide variety of subway options. The locality is not exactly pristine, with some auto body shops right next to it, but we came in after midnight every night on the sub and found it pretty safe. Cons: Breakfast time says […] till 11 am but closes even a little before that-but the staff who cleared up everything noticed us coming in, and asked us what we needed and got it-but still I would have expected them to close maybe at 11 or 5 minutes after that after giving people a chance to take what they wanted. Printing SUCKS, they have some wierd software to control browsing in the common computer and that is really slow, so if you are planning on printing out maps before you leave, allow sufficient time for that. Really close to subway stops, very nice staff, clean rooms, good continental breakfast. Neighborhood is a little rough looking, but I felt safe walking around at midnight, and it is Queens after all, so the neighborhood was expected to be this way. Rooms are small, but what isn't in New York? Overall, good value, good hotel, good experience.

We really enjoyed our stayed at this hotel, yes the breakfast room is small but if you ask for a tray you can take it to your room. The neighborhood is a bit scary at first but we walked every day and every night to the sub station which is 1/2 block from there nothing bad ever happened to us. We definitely had a great stay we were expecting a lot less but it was GREAT parking on the street very quiet area, looks sketchy but felt safer than Harlem!! 10 minutes we your time square! Good breakfast included.

We read the reviews before booking!! The hotel and our stay were wonderful, but we didn't expect 5-star service at a 2-star hotel either! We were looking for price, convenience and safety and we found all three at this hotel! Yes, the hotel does overlook a dump and the part of town does look run-down, but so do most of the old neighborhoods in NYC. […] The hotel looked almost new though. We weren't there to stay in the hotel all day anyway. We slept there then were off to see the city sights. We read in the reviews that the hotel had limited seating for breakfast, so we already expected to take it back to the room--no big deal: boiled eggs, waffles, fruit, muffins, doughnuts, coffee, tea, juice, toast, croissants, and cereal were among some of the choices for us to eat. (good breakfast!) Go around 8-8:30 there was still a lot to choose from. Free copy of newspapers each day. Also there's a diner one subway stop from the Queensboro Plaza, which is literally one block from the hotel. I think they had late hours. Take the 7 sub right into Grand Central, 5th Avenue or to Times Square in less than 15 minutes! My husband and I felt completely safe in and around the hotel, even when we arrived back at the hotel around 1:30 am one morning. We drove, and were aware of the limited parking. Luckily, we arrived mid-afternoon on a Sunday and could park on the street for our stay--no charge. Next time we go to NYC we will definitely go to this hotel. The beds were comfortable--lots of pillows. The only thing was our air had been turned off when we were out during the day??? Maybe they were trying to save energy. That's fine if it helps keep the rates down. Nevertheless, I would highly recommend this hotel for a great price and great service compared to hotels in Manhattan--save the money for shopping! This hotel is very closed to the subway,and the staff was very helpful and kindness.

I have stayed in the hotel before and loved it. It is just after the 59th St bridge and it is a doddle to get to Manhattan literally within 5 mins and 15 mins to 34th and 42nd Streets. There is breakfast every morning and free wireless. The staff are very friendly and the area is quite safe. If you over look the dump yard on the backside of the hotel. […] You are good to go. Don't be put off by the appearance of the surrounding area, it is actually a very nice neighborhood. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and neat. A bonus is that it is located close to a subway station for ease of travel. This is a hotel my family and I will return to again on our travels.
