Hotel is about a 15 min ride on the metro to times square. The location isn't bad but there really isn't anything in the area. The Metro is a short block away and I felt fairly safe walking the area at night. The only problem I had was as other reviewers have posted there is a scrapyard across the street and we had the misfortune of having it outside […] our window. But overall if your just looking for a place to sleep and a rate that is much lower than hotels in the city Comfort Inn LIC is a good choice. Mehr

My experience tracked with that of other reviewers; this hotel had good facilities and excellent location for a budget hotel. It had been recently renovated, was clean with fairly big rooms, and had all the usual amenities, but don't expect glamour. Overall, it was a good value for the price. It is within 100 meters of the elevated subway line, so light […] sleepers should bring earplugs. The noise didn't interfere much with my sleep, although I'm a very light sleeper. The surrounding neighborhood is a light industrial area and looks rundown and dirty, but felt quite safe even after dark (kids, women, and office workers were still around). The neighborhood isn't gentrified yet, it's the "real" New York. Not many good sit-down restaurants close by, but many corner shops and cafes for carryout. Ask the desk clerk for directions to the more trendy areas within 20 mins walk or just go in to Manhattan if you want a nice dinner out. Hotel breakfast was adequate but the coffee was the worst I've had. Solved this problem by walking 10 meters out the lobby door to get a cuppa from the sidewalk cart vendor each morning. Mehr

The good: good location for LIC, right next to Subway. Free breakfast which is pretty good. OK beds, free internet, free newspaper, all the normal stuff: TV, coffee in room, a/c, etc., nice bathrooms. free on street parking The bad: nothing is very close in this neighborhood, very limited eating options within a short walk. Room is small. a bit noisy, […] but it is NYC. Window view is a large dump. Top floor is hot in the summer; my room never cooled down and I had to move. Pros: Very good rooms, decent staff, 2 minutes from the QueensBoro Subway Station and 3 minutes from Queens Plaza, giving access to wide variety of subway options. The locality is not exactly pristine, with some auto body shops right next to it, but we came in after midnight every night on the sub and found it pretty safe. Cons: Breakfast time says […] till 11 am but closes even a little before that-but the staff who cleared up everything noticed us coming in, and asked us what we needed and got it-but still I would have expected them to close maybe at 11 or 5 minutes after that after giving people a chance to take what they wanted. Printing SUCKS, they have some wierd software to control browsing in the common computer and that is really slow, so if you are planning on printing out maps before you leave, allow sufficient time for that. We enjoyed very much the friendly staff ,the hotel services with all what we needed included free access and use of internet ,breakfast you can even take in your room :) ,cleaning done every day . Really close to subway stops, very nice staff, clean rooms, good continental breakfast. Neighborhood is a little rough looking, but I felt safe walking around at midnight, and it is Queens after all, so the neighborhood was expected to be this way. Rooms are small, but what isn't in New York? Overall, good value, good hotel, good experience.

We really enjoyed our stayed at this hotel, yes the breakfast room is small but if you ask for a tray you can take it to your room. The neighborhood is a bit scary at first but we walked every day and every night to the sub station which is 1/2 block from there nothing bad ever happened to us. We definitely had a great stay we were expecting a lot less but it was GREAT parking on the street very quiet area, looks sketchy but felt safer than Harlem!! 10 minutes we your time square! Good breakfast included.

We read the reviews before booking!! The hotel and our stay were wonderful, but we didn't expect 5-star service at a 2-star hotel either! We were looking for price, convenience and safety and we found all three at this hotel! Yes, the hotel does overlook a dump and the part of town does look run-down, but so do most of the old neighborhoods in NYC. […] The hotel looked almost new though. We weren't there to stay in the hotel all day anyway. We slept there then were off to see the city sights. We read in the reviews that the hotel had limited seating for breakfast, so we already expected to take it back to the room--no big deal: boiled eggs, waffles, fruit, muffins, doughnuts, coffee, tea, juice, toast, croissants, and cereal were among some of the choices for us to eat. (good breakfast!) Go around 8-8:30 there was still a lot to choose from. Free copy of newspapers each day. Also there's a diner one subway stop from the Queensboro Plaza, which is literally one block from the hotel. I think they had late hours. Take the 7 sub right into Grand Central, 5th Avenue or to Times Square in less than 15 minutes! My husband and I felt completely safe in and around the hotel, even when we arrived back at the hotel around 1:30 am one morning. We drove, and were aware of the limited parking. Luckily, we arrived mid-afternoon on a Sunday and could park on the street for our stay--no charge. Next time we go to NYC we will definitely go to this hotel. The beds were comfortable--lots of pillows. The only thing was our air had been turned off when we were out during the day??? Maybe they were trying to save energy. That's fine if it helps keep the rates down. Nevertheless, I would highly recommend this hotel for a great price and great service compared to hotels in Manhattan--save the money for shopping! This hotel is very closed to the subway,and the staff was very helpful and kindness.

I have stayed in the hotel before and loved it. It is just after the 59th St bridge and it is a doddle to get to Manhattan literally within 5 mins and 15 mins to 34th and 42nd Streets. There is breakfast every morning and free wireless. The staff are very friendly and the area is quite safe. If you over look the dump yard on the backside of the hotel. […] You are good to go. Don't be put off by the appearance of the surrounding area, it is actually a very nice neighborhood. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and neat. A bonus is that it is located close to a subway station for ease of travel. This is a hotel my family and I will return to again on our travels.

close to metro in Queens, small breakfast room (only 3 tables), poor choice for breakfast, clean but small room and bathroom

Comfort Inn at Long Island City is reasonably priced (by New York standards) and is just one block away from Queensboro Plaza, which can get you to Times Square and Grand Central Plaza in about ten minutes. Also, the Queens Plaza station is just a few blocks away, which gives you easy access to JFK Airport through the E train, which connects with the […] Airtrain at Jamaica. The hotel isn't the greatest, but the rooms are clean, and the free breakfast is a real treat. Hotel location was great ... 2 minute walk to the Queensboro Plaza Station. 10 min by train to Times Square. We could see tops of Chrysler and Empire State building from our window which was cool. But we could also see a junk yard which is right next to the hotel. Breakfast was okay ... less dinning space. Upgraded bathrooms but bad odor. I have stayed at this hotel before and the location is great! It is a few stops away from Manhattan...The front desk service does not go out of their way to help you, but gets the job done. For what you pay it is worth it!

狭い空間ではあるが、朝食会場でバイキング形式で、ヨーグルト、卵類、シリアル系、パン、飲み物を食べることができるのがGood！

Pour les points positifs,station du métro proche(moins de 100m),petit déjeuner copieux et varié.Points, négatif, salle déjeuner trop petite (3 tables seulement),vue sur parc à ferraille,légèrement bruyant car encerclé du métro et d'une voie rapide,chambre prévue pour nous qui étions 4 (2 adultes et 2 ados)vraiment trop petite et des lits de 120 de large […] et du fait de notre nombre, rangement insuffisant. fenomenal,trato inmejorable y buen hotel precio-calidad

Servicen var i top og meget venlig betjening. Værelset var pænt og rent. Rengøring var i top, hver dag. Morgenmaden var fin, lidt anderledes end i DK. Det tager ca. 7 min med tog til Times Square. Så pris og beliggenhed passede fint sammen. Vil gerne bo på dette hotel igen, da vi ikke har nogen problem med at tage tog/bus til Manhattan.

Hotel sous la moyenne, accueil désagréable.

assolutamente buono, consiglio vivamente il Comfort Inn Long Island city, certo alcune camere non hanno la vista su manhattan, il quartiere anche di notte è sicuro in quanto c è molta polizia in giro... però ragazzi hotel davvero a 2 passi dalla metro, praticamente dietro l'angolo e in 5 minuti ti trovi nella famosissima fifth avenue! staff gentile […] e amichevole... io e la mia ragazzi ci siamo trovati davvero bene....!! ci ritornerei!! 部屋はとても清潔で綺麗でした。 私達はダブルサイズのベッド２つの部屋に滞在したのですが、とても満足できました。 交通の便も良く、グランドセントラル駅から地下鉄で１０分のところにあり、駅からも徒歩５分程度で着きます。 また、スタッフの対応も非常に良かったですｂ ただ、夜になると一歩ホテルの外に出ると大変危険な状況が待ち受けているので 女性などは特に、絶対に外に出てはいけません。 あと、シャンプーやリンスの質がとてつもなく悪いので自分の物を持っていくことをおすすめします。 また、歯磨きなどは備え付けていないので申し出るなどしたほうが良いです。 タオルは十分にあったので必要ありません。 ホテルの朝食はとても美味しかったです。 しかし、朝食をとる場所が非常に狭く、私達は朝食後早々に追い出されました。 また、ホテルのテレビでは日本の番組、主にアニメなどが映ることがあります。 ただ、規制音がすごく、半分以上何を言ってるかがわかりませんでした。 Thank […] you for reading! Dommage que cet établissement avec des chambres plutôt spacieuses et confortables ai oublié de mettre des fenêtres étanches à l'air et surtout au Bruit!! Pour le petit déjeuner 4 tables de 2 ou 3 personnes pour 80 chambres!! Donc faite comme nous prenez votre plateau de chambre pour emporter votre repas en chambre

Uitstekend hotel voor een bezoek aan New York. De kamers zijn ruim genoeg met een comfortabele badkamer. De metrohalte met die lijnen naar hartje Manhattan ligt voor de deur en binnen tien minuten sta je op Times Square. The hotel was very nice. Will stay there again. Stayed in a Queen Double room, it was clean and large for New York. Bathroom clean and roomy. Staff very nice and very helpful. Excellent location! The hotel is only a minute walking distance from Queensboro Plaza subway station, from there only five minutes to Central Park SW corner and 5th Avenue in […] Manhattan. You get a better price than in a Manhattan hotel, and you are only five minutes away. The neighborhood looks a bit dodgy, but don't let that scare you, it's quite safe walking from the subway to the hotel, even late at night. There is no restaurant and only a tiny breakfast area, but if you like you can order food to your room from any of the many restaurants nearby. Staff will help you with that. I highly reccommend this hotel for travelling on a budget.. Mehr

Frukost och Internet ingick, och närheten till 3 tunnelbanor gjorde att hotellet låg nära det som händer. Snabbmat runt hörnet men inga restauranger. Rent och bekvämt, verkligen prisvärt!

Very nice hotel. Close to Manhattan, and a really nice price, compared to hotels in Manhattan. Excellent continental breakfast. Cleaning and new towels every day.

Facile d'accès, métro à 100 m (arrêt queens plazza) et 300 m (queensboro ), à 10min de manathan(42ème rue) malheuresement pas de supermarché tout près mais le mall du queens est à 20min en métro grand, bon prix et bonne qlté. Les Chambres sont par contre étroites mais le petit déj estcompris et bon, l'internet sans fil est grattuit et le personnel […] à l'accueil est très dispo et serviable pour repondre à toutes vos questions et vous montrer les bons magasins, les adresses.
