Grand Hotel - Malahide

The location, comfort, convenience, style and quality of the hotel and the wonderful experience we had on our stay there (our first trip to Ireland) made us feel certain that we will have to return to Ireland and to the Grand Hotel Malahide - excellent experience.

lovely hotel in great location, room was spotless. service was great. bar food and drink were very reasonably priced. bed were comfy. if i'd had a bath in the bathroom it would have been the perfect trip.

Hotel staff are a little stand offish, i didn't find them particularly helpful. Hotel was very busy and this was reflected in staff attitudes, possibly under pressure. breakfast was a very noisy affair with slow service and over cooked eggs, bacon etc. Not a good advertisement for the hotel.

We stay in the Grand hotel quite often and have always had a very good experience -I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

Incredible views from the exquisite seaside hotel. A first class facility with a first class staff. We will definitely come back to the Grand. It was the nicest we had during our two week jaunt to eastern Ireland.

As usual we enjoyed our stay at your hotel. We invited our american cousins along, they where not disappointed. This was our fourth visit to the Grand Hotel and it won't be the last. We look forward to the next time. Thank you.

Love it, I won't stay anywhere else. Fantastic location connection to the city via Dart train network. Close to the airport. Great restaurants and bars fantastic coastal walk and when the sun shines what more can you ask for. Hotel staff very friendly and courteous. Room was spotless and I am fussy....

Great stay, everything great except the price of the breakfast! 16 quid for breakfast is bit steap! Shouldve went for BnB

Excellent hotel in perfect seaside location . Staff efficient and friendly. The experience was spoiled by arriving to find the room cold. On enquiry we were told heating does not come on until 6pm. We were given a portable heater but it tokk from an otherwise enjoyable stay.

This Hotel is so near to everything we wanted to see and do in Malahide it was perfect,we were meeting friendes in Gibneys which is so close it was excellent.

Arrived at 8am and was given a room immediately. Staff were excellent.

its not shabby but it could do with a decor upgrade. Room had agreat view of the sea and the local marina. Malahide is a really cool village for an evening out with lots of places to eat and drink

This is great for a weekend break. Location could not be better and Malahide offers great eating options.

My friends and I wanted a nice location and comfortable break, the hotel and town provided both. Had great time both in hotel and local bars.

i found everything in this hotel .and the location to be tip top . and i will deffernetly stay thier again and will recommed it to all my frends exerlant place

Pleased with the friendliness of staff, good bar food service, parking, gym and overall condition of the hotel. My room was a little old fashioned but overall Grand Hotel was great for a 3 days business trip.

We stayed for only two nights but they were very comfortable, the staff very helpful and the location is delightful. The Coast restaurant has a wonderful view over the harbour/marina. My only gripe, and not significant for most, is the limited vegetarian options on the menus - otherwise, excellent!

excellent clean hotel in good location. Rooms quite large with all the facilities anyone could wish for.

Had a very enjoyable 2 day break in Malahide. The Grand has a superb location ;set in a genteel s seaside town, a short train ride from central Dulin. The hotel is a good blend of the old and new. Couples of niggles : double bed in our room was very narrow & too hard + milk for cereal was served at room temperature. May I suggest that the hotel get […] a supply of Dublin maps incorporating Dart (local train) routes - much easier to plan outing into the city. Overall very good Mehr

A beautiful Hotel idea location lovely ,well equiped room with sea view.

Grand Hotel is a great hotel located on the water and right near everything in Malahide. Also perfect place to stay if you are flying out of Dublin, only minutes from airport.

Booked a standard room in the 4 star Grand hotel malahide. I have to say the reception is 4 star, and in all honesty the Standard room is a 2 Star room. Although we had a seaview the carpets are quite old and a bit dusty, no real ventilation in the room apart from opening the window(onto the main coast road). Tea&coffee cups were in the wardrobe no […] bottled water with them so had to boil bathroom water for a cup of tea, no mini-fridge which you would expect in a 4 Star, old tv, no flat screen and the bath itself looked like it had been repaired a few times over the years. Bed is quite small too and I am far from tall or heavy. If you need an overnight stay its fine, amazing location, nice and quiet, easy parking. However if you are staying there a few days longer then upgrade to a superior room at least. Mehr

We chose to stay at The Grand in Malahide because it was close to the airport, not realizing that it would be in such a beautiful, quaint neighborhood. Not only was the location wonderful, the hotel was gorgeous and staff were exceptional.

A lovely hotel, and meets up to it's name. Our room was fine but there was no hot water and no pressure from the shower. then when I rang down to reception she could not hear me. We informed reception about the problems with the water and with no more adu they changed us to a different room which as even nicer than the first room.

From the reception staff to the bar staff, everyone was lovely and could not do enough to make the stay more pleasurable. We will be returning with soon. Thank you for a brilliant stay, 1 of the best hotel in Ireland (if not the best).

Great hotel convenient to town, the trains and Dublin. People are very friendly and were very helpful throughout.

The Hotel is "Grand", food is excellent and lovely view from the front, unfortunately we had no view, in fact one of our rooms was quite dark with frosted glass, but we were only there one night. Staff are friendly and helpful, overall a good experience.

This hotel was once a charming sea side hotel with pride of position in the town. While the front desk etc has been brought up to date, the interior of the hotel is out of date and quite run down I'm afraid. We had a peach ruffled overhang above our bed! Lovely character to the hotel situated in the beautiful village of Malahide. A must for people wanting to be close to the big city of Dublin and the airport, but having the space and freedom of this healthy seaside village.

This hotel had class. Everything about the staff was professional and friendly. The room was large and extremely comfortable. The iron and ironing board were a plus. We are already planning another trip

this was our first visit to Malahide and the Grand hotel. the whole experience was just wonderful. We will certainly return.

If you get the weather, which we did, the Grand is the perfect place to explore an area NE of Dublin often missed. Try and get a room with a sea view - sunsets superb. Breakfasts great and leisure complex excellent (bring your swimming cap!)

Great hotel, in a wonderful location. Close to Dublin and the airport. Good staff to offer help. Resturant was very good. Internet could only be used via a voucher that could be purchased from the hotel. Internet should be part of the package.

Hotel has a fine location overlooking the estuary and yet close to commuter train station for central dublin or all dublin bay area if you wish. Staff friendly and helpful,; although the layout of the hotel is a bit higgeldy-piggedly due presumably to various extensions. Good sized room. Will be back

I came to the Grand Hotel for a friends wedding, which I have to say was very nice, the food was great, and the function room was full of light. The actual bedroom was standard enough for a **** hotel. It is located in one of the nicest Villages in Ireland with about half the rooms having sea views. It is a short walk to Malahide Village (150 metres) […] which is full of restaurants (38) and bars (5). Overall I would recommend this hotel but remember it is 14 kilometres from Dublin city and the Residents bar closes as early as 3 AM. Mehr
