W Dallas - Victory - Dallas

Was disppointed at the random people they just had standing around the entrance of the hotel people who werent even staying there...the valet was a mess no one knew if you coming or going just not what you would expect at the W Hotel, kinda disappointed.

Hotel was noisy and did not appreciate everything in the room having a price tag on it. I had booked for anniversary if i wanted to stay at a 7-11 I would have gone there.

I thought by getting a more expensive hotel room I'd get better service, our a view, our even a clean room but nothing of the sort. there was yellow crust on sol the beds sheets, the 2 in our room, the shower is right next to one of the beds, the pool was filthy and there was non stop partying all through the night. At for in the morning we were woken […] up by what sounded like a lady was being murdered in the hallway followed by an hour long throwing session of whatever could be found in the hallway. The glass on the infinity pool was so filthy you couldn't even see the sunset and the lobby was filled with ruffians and riff raff.all night drinking at one of the bars on the bottom floor. Save your money and go somewhere else. They even charge for wi-fi. I will definitely not be going there again. Mehr

WHAT AN AWESOME PLACE!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ANYONE WHO WOULD LIKE TO BE PAMPERED. FROM THE TIME WE ARRIVED UNTIL THE DAY WE LEFT THE STAFF AND PERSONNEL WERE EXCEPTIONAL. LOVED IT!!! WELL BE BACK MR & MRS D BABB

It is a great location. Modern rooms. Elegant. But not off the charts by any stretch.

The staff of the hotel was very nice and helpful. The hotel rooms are horrible. You walk immediately into the bathroom when you come into the room and only have a curtain for privacy. will never stay there again. I think the hotel is meant for alot younger folks!!

Great hotel as far as amenities. Craft Restaurant was good not great, neighborhood is a little boring.

We often stay at W Hotels because we love the modern decor and the customer service, and the "W Dallas - Victory" will not disappoint; however, we noticed one odd thing in our room. The Bathroom/Shower area is an open concept and looks into the Bedroom (although it can be closed off) and the toilet is in a separate room whereby you can close the door. […] Here is where things get a little weird...in almost every hotel I have ever stayed in (whether upscale or not) there is always a separate light switch for an exhaust fan. This particular W didn't have an exhaust fan and the only reason we noticed it is because there was a sewer smell eminating from the toilet and when I went to turn on the exhaust fan...there wasn't one. We weren't in our room very much so it didn't make that much of a different and we kept the bathroom door to the toilet closed the entire time, but very frustrating to have such a foul smell that we were not able to at least "exhaust" out of the toilet room. The only reason to stay here is the convenience to Victory Park.

Again the W Victory delivers, its the only place I will stay in Dallas.

In terms of the services provided versus the hotel cost, it shows that the W DALLAS VICTORIA hotel is very very expensive. The hotel is very expensive and it does not provide basic things like a microwave and mini-refrigerator in the room. We were looking for a microwave in the hotel and it was not possible. We wanted to warm a milk for our girls and […] no way !! At the end, the guys said that they could help us with a microwave for an extracharge of $25. Most of the hotels have basic things as microwave for use of any body and this hotel does not. It is not a hotel for a family with kids. Mehr

We called 2 weeks out for joining rooms. they kept telling us to call back after a week of call someine finally told us to call back the morning of. We did no one could help us. Final we got there and the nice guy who checked us in was like ok I can take care of that. why could they just have told us ask when you get here. Plus we wanted 2 rooms with […] double beds. They only having joining rooms with king and one double. We asked for a roll away which we never recived. Plus the next morning we had NO hot water in the shower in one of the rooms. Overall not bad. They just need to lrean how to communcate better to there guest Mehr

Room was way overpriced. Glad we only stayed one night. Glass surfaces were smudged (especially the scenic window). Mirrored surfaces were scratched. iPod docking station, reading lamp and associated electric socket did not work. 16th floor pool action was not family friendly and "R" rated. Disappointing experience.

stains on curtain that separates room from shower. Pool dirty but view was ok. Pool stop serving drinks around 9 but the pool was open 24/7.

Very good place to stay

The hotel was very pleasant, however the people in room next to us were very loud and kept us up most of the night.

The hotel room was clean enough however the pool had cups and things floating around in it. It would have been gorgeous view and wonderful had it not been for the crap floating around. Also, the door to get into the 24 hour pool was broken so when we went, even at 6 on Friday night, we had to wait for someone to come open the door because our key would […] not do it. We also went in the middle of the night because my boyfriend would want a cigarette and had to wait everytime for the door to be opened! The air conditioner in our room was miserable - it never got cold, ever! We put it down as low as it would go and just was not cold. We asked them to bring us some toothpaste and waited an hour and had to call down again! I would have preferred to stay at the Ritz or Zaza but the pool would be worth it, unfortunately, it was not. This Hotel was great but not worth the money I paid for the room. Would,ve stayed at the Hyat Regency for half the price.

We had a great experience. The staff was amazing and very courteous. The room was very comfortable and beautiful. Highly reccomend!!!

Hotel was awesome, but some of the security outside of the hotel were jerks. Blocking entrence of hotel on a side, even with identification and forcing registered guests to go through a 10000+ crowd. Hotel is great as long as you don't have lame security gaurds.

First of all its a no smoking area which is great, first thing I noticed was a burned spot on the sofa. The next day I take a shower in the neat little overhead rain shower, notice when I get out there is a leak between the shower and the wall and the bathroom is almost flooded. So here I am spending top dollars for a room and throwing every towel I […] have to clean up the mess before it heads for the bed. Told the management about it when I checked out and all they said was thanks and will have someone to look into it. Nothing like we are so sorry, can we do anything to make your next visit better. What ever when ever? It should really be "not really and seldom" I would not put any plans in the hands of this staff. I have stayed at two W's and have been completely disappointed each time. I would recommend that the head of Guest Services for the company be an understudy at the Hilton or LXR chains. You may not get the super modern room or fancy […] tag lines with these brands but you will get service. Mehr

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our W experience in Dallas last weekend. Room was clean, comfortable, and well appointed with a great view of downtown. Staff was courteous,friendly, and eager to help and of course you always have the Whatever/Whenever button on your in room phone. Gym was aWesome with plenty or cardio trainers as well as machines and […] free weights. Close to many great restraunts and nightlife uptown and great shopping just a short drive away. The pool on the 16th floor was our favorite hang out with lots of cool people surrounded by the Dallas skyline and warm Texas sun. WoW.....we're headed back before Fall. Mehr

We stayed at the W because it is was so convenient for a concert we were attending at the American Airlines Event Center. It was literally right across the street.

My daughter celebrated her 21st birthday with friends throughout the Uptown McKinney area of downtown Dallas. Your hotel was the perfect location for her night on the town. The staff is extremely friendly, room was georgeous and the views at night were fantastic. Thanks for helping make a 21st Birthday a perfect memory. Kathi and Charisse

This hotel provided the best service I have experienced in a while. The beds are extremely comfortable. Ony complaint was the lack of seating area to dine when ordering room service.

The W - Victory Park is BEAUTIFUL! Well appointed with a FANTASTIC view!

Room smelled like smoke, but was a non smoking room. They had to give us a new room. Layout of the room is a little too funky. Shower and sink area separated by the rest of the room with a curtain. Room colors too dark. Room service and restaurant were excellent.

The hotel itself and staff are great. I've been staying there for years now. However, one thing that is consistently of poor quality is the room service for dinner. A mixed salad is literally a head of lettuce cut up, a turkey sandwich is essentially a sub. Their selection and quality of food absolutely needs to be worked on.

Great location and ambience. However, the room was not what was expected. King spectacular room was smaller than expected. Uncomfortable bed, cheap sheets (probably 200 count), uncomfortable pillows, and room would not get cold. We would not stay here again.

The hotel itself is very nice and was a great location across from AA Center. The lobby bar had what definitely appeared to be hookers working the room on Saturday afternoon when we checked in and when we returned to the hotel on Saturday evening at 10pm, a couple was laying on top of each other in a chair in the lobby kissing and he was spanking her […] while the hotel staff was right in front of them. Not exactly classy! I would not recommend the hotel. Mehr

Very nice hotel!!!! A little noisy if you're planning to stay on the weekend or a night that an event is taking place at the American Airlines Center. Overall, a great place to stay with a great vibe and exceptionally nice rooms.

This hotel was fabulous. The room had a great view and was very comfortable. The only problem was that the Britney Spears concert had just let out at American Airlines Center next door and people who were not staying in the hotel were allowed to stand around and clutter the entrance. Overall it was really spectacular!

The staff was friendly and helpful. The free shuttle {7-mile radius} and the outdoor pool were nice features. The hallways and elevators are dark and the hotel has a mirror fetish. Cost of parking, room service and food items in the room bordered on the absurd. Considering the room rate I would not return or recommend this facility.

Great place to stay. The hotel had a vibe about it. It was busy with lots of guests going to the lobby bars. Seems like all the pretty people stay and party there. Its right in the middle of all the downtown activity. Friendly and helpful staff provided recomendations for dinning and had the hotel limo take us to dinner. The room was comfortable, however […] it smelled like someone had smoked in my room prior to my stay and the A/C leaked water soaking the carpet near the unit. I was comp'ed one night parking for the inconvience. I would stay there again. Mehr

My stay was exceedingly comfortable. The staff are very courteous and fulfilled all of my needs. I will stay at the W for all my future trips to Dallas.

Enjoyed the pool but have stayed with a few other hotels in the area and felt that they were a better value based off of the bars and pool. Shower handle fell off and had to have it put back on twice. Overall, would stay again....

We had a girls night at this hotel and enjoyed the Bliss Spa and drinks by the pool. But this is not for a romantic getaway - this is a place for people who want to be "seen". Don't get me wrong it was a very luxurious hotel...but there were lots of people in the Lobby either hanging in the Living Room Bar or awaiting their venture up to the Ghost  […] Bar. Mehr

The hotel would not allow me an early check in time. When I arrived at least two hours after check-in there was no room with two queen beds available which I reserved online. The receptionist stated that some guests from the night before "got wild and crazy" and messed up the room and they did not know when a room with two queens would be available. […] We had to take a room with one king bed for three people because my family needed rest before they were to take a 17 hour road trip. If you are seeing a show at the American Airlines Center then this is the perfect location -- right across the street. But overall the hotel is not very impressive. The rooms are larger than expected but the curtains etc are stained and it's just not super clean. The pool is awful - wow. It's on the 16th floor so two-thirds of it is covered by the next […] floor up. The remaining third is the pool itself and truly the only area that could possibly get sun. There are only about 10 chairs -- all in the shade -- and the pool is FREEEEEEEZING. If you are expecting to spend a day hanging out at the pool this probably isn't the place for you. To be in the sun at all -- you HAVE TO be in the pool (which is also very small). It's also not very kid/family friendly. Overall it was 'fine' but I wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend it unfortunately. I had also heard great things about the W hotels --- sadly did not live up. Mehr
