nach buchung kam die nachricht dass man an einem sylvesterbuffet teinehmen muss für 3500 baht pro person ohne getränke extra. angesichts der absolut schrecklichen gesangsdarbietungen (wie in einer bar um die ecke....) und einem chaotischen ablaufs des buffets) war das eine zumutung. der fitnessbereich ist viel zu klein und sehr schlecht mit alten maschinen […] ausgestattet. aber sonst hat das hotel charme und die zimmer inden oberen etagen mit meerblick einfach toll. das personal ist feundlich. Von außen sticht das Hotel mit einen über 20 Stockwerken in Patong Beach heraus und könnte doch als "Betten-Palas" bezeichnet werden. Die Sauberkeit ist allerdings bestens, der Service zuvorkommend. Zum Strand läuft man 10-15 Minuten und der ist leider mit vielen Touristen überfüllt. Da gibts ein paar schönere Strände wenn man die Küste südlich hinunter […] fährt. Gegessen haben wir einmal am Buffet im 2. Stock. Es sieht sehr sauber aus, geschmacklich hat es uns allerdings nicht überzeugt. Es gibt noch ein wohl sehr gutes Restaurant im 22. Stock. Die Zimmer (Royal Wing) sind modern und sauber. Auch der Pool ist in Ordnung, zumal sich die wenigsten Gäste dort aufhalten. Der Rest des Hotels ist weniger ansprechend.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer im Royal Wing. Schönes Zimmer aber am Abend sehr laute Musik von draussen bis 22.00 Uhr. Danach ruhig. Das nächste mal würden wir darum ein Zimmer im Paradise Tower buchen. Die Hotellobby hätte eine Renovation nötig.

mein Zimmer lag im 14. Geschoss (von 23). Alle Haeuser in der Umgebung haben nur 4-6. Die 20 m2 Verglasung und der schoene Balkon machten dass ich sehr viel Zeit im Zimmer+Balkon verbrachte um vielleicht noch 2 Uhr in die nahen Discos zu gehen. Ich buchte nochmals 14Tg und erholte mich ausserordentlich.

This place is a dump and they will try to charge you for every single thing. Just because it is cheap, it does not mean you can't be comfortable. Stay somewhere else that may be a little farther away where the service is reasonable.

The recessed lighting made reading in the room almost impossible. The wash basin in the bathroom did not drain properly. The toilet was hard to flush (push button).This is a good, but not great hotel to stay.

When I arrived at the Hotel I was not greeted with any smile or any form of greeting. It was a very unfriendly check in to which I was then escorted to my room. When I arrived in my room it had a bad smell to it and didn't seem cleaned. I decided to take a shower and upon stepping out of the shower stepped on some dirty chewing gum that had been left […] on the tiles. Shocking start to my stay at this place. The first night I spent the entire night kept awake by the noisiest Gay night club in Phuket. It was that loud that the walls were shaking. I didn't realise that this Hotel was in the Gay district (I have no problem with Gay people for the record) The next morning I took the liberty of going to the front desk and requesting to see the Manager whom was not available. I was told to come back at 9am which I did and still not available so I put my complaint in writing. No acknowledgment from The Manager, however they did swap my room to the top floor. It was like a 600m walk everytime I left my room just to get to the front of the building. Beds were awefully uncomfortable and service was dreadful, not that there was any servicce. Breakfast????? a homeless shelter could have cooked a better breakfast!!! When I went to check out, they handed me a bill which contained 3 packets of condoms, an umbrella, 2 bottles of thai whiskey all which were not mine. I refused to pay and I kicked up a storm and all of a sudden the Assistant Manager appeared to which she insisted they call the police on myself and my 15 year old daughter and refused to hand us our bags until we paid. If I wasn't running late for my flight I would have happily stayed and waited for the Police to arrest this very disfunctional extortionist of a Manager. I would not in my wildest dreams advice anyone to ever stay at this establishment. This is my 34th time to Thailand as I used to be based with my job in Bangkok and I have never experienced such horrible bad service and stayed in such a dreadful place. If y Mehr

My partner, baby daughter and I stayed at the Royal Paradise Hotel in Patong from 13-22/02/12. The hotel is situated in a convenient location, being close to the big shopping centre Junceylon, as well as street markets etc. The Royal Paradise staff were very friendly and helpful & we had many chats with the staff in the lobby area, who enjoyed playing […] with our baby. The hotel is kept in top shape & they have many beautiful swimming pools! Every day we were out and about and were never bored in finding something to do. The beach is also a few blocks away where we were able to lounge on beach chairs & sip banana shakes! The people in Thailand were very friendly everywhere we went. We will definitely return again and would look at staying at this hotel again! Mehr

Stayed 3 nights at this handy place. Its located very close to Patong Beach and all shopping streets. Hotel got nice swim pool but jaccuzi was not working at that time. But Air con, breakfast, services are very satisfied. We enjoyed our stay here and next time i would like to stay there in Phuket.

Stayed for one night. From the begining the reception gave us the wrong room, booked double bed, the bell boy demanded a tip and when we pointed out that we wanted to change room the receptionist gave us considerable bad attitude. Don't be fooled by the stars, the only reason this hotell is 4 starred is because of it's amount facilities the rooms them […] self are run down and everything costs extra, even a city map found enclosed in the room. The pool area is also run down and small. The pool staff will also give you atitude. The breakfest was fair but you could exoect more for a four star hotell. The location is right next to Patongs gay and redlight district so ig you're not into sleeping, prey for a room and the first 15 floors. Believe me, even in Patong there are SEVERAL hotel where the staff is friendlier, the breakfest better, the ambience nicer and for only half the price. Overall it seems lile the staff are just unpleasent. Maybe it's because of the end of the high season, maybe not. I won't take my chances with this hotell again! Mehr

Don't be fooled by the stars and price. The only reason this is a four star hotell is because it's huge and contains many different fascilities. I dont't know if the bad level of service was due to the end of the hugh season or if the staff just not isn't serviceminded, at any rate the stay here was less then average, especually in consideration to […] the price. The rooms and bathrooms are dated but sufficient and clean. The hotell is situated just infront of the gay street and red light district and unless you stay on a higher floor you will be a part of the night life wether you wan't it or not. I got the wrong room I booked and was only after getting attityde from the staff that I got the right room. The bell boy demanded a tip. Everything costs extra, even a town map found in your room (!). The breakfest is ok, it has loads of dishes and they all taste hotel standard. The swiming pool area is average, small and ok. Expect to get attitude from the staff even there. If hou want a big hotell close to the night life then go with this hotell but there are loads of other places where your money comes to better use! Nice Hotel, beautiful pool with waterfalls, good buffet breakfast. tried to make us take a room with twin beds but we insisted on a room with a double. The room was nice. Direct access to the pool. The room was also directly above the gay red light street which was mildly amusing until about midnight when the pounding bass from the nightclubs will […] keep you awake until 4 am unless you have earplugs... My girlfriend and I stayed at the Royal Paradise hotel in late January 2011. It was our first visit to this hotel, and when we arrived, the front desk upgraded our room free of charge and without being asked. it's okay, not as fancy as shown on website. The hotel present condition isnt that great as photos shown on website, I doubt it's been photoshop . The AC circulation is terrible, I choose Non-smoking room, but i still can smell cigaret thru AC. The smell was too strong to sleep, I turned off AC, opened the window to keeping air fresh.

I have returend to the hotel now for the fifth time and enjoy the elevated views my room balconey from the 24 story main wing. There is a small intimate cocktail lounge on the 24th floor that has spectacular views at sunset. The prices are very reasonable and has sensational red house wine at 200 BHT per glass... the best I have found in all of Thailand […] for the price. The pool area is great to relax and is like a hidden tropical paradise. There is a no cover charge cocktail lounge on the ground floor that has evening entertrainment to dance the night away. Overall, the staff are friendly and courteous. Highly recommended by a fussy Australian. Mehr

The hotel location at the best place. The rooms r good & also the cleaniness. The only thing that they messed up us at the last when I was checking out I had to fetch my luggage frm the 5th floor to my car. When asked them at the counter why aren't they gettin my luggage. Room was on the royal wing and it was straght opposite of the most noisy gay street on the town. We got no sleep before 2 AM at all week. Heard the same Withney Houston songs all over again and again and again. Room was also moldy, all our stuff stink after a weeks stay. This […] hotel has been grand in its days, but they have neglegted it completely and it is a shame.The hotel reminded me of old hotels in Leningrad/St.Petersburg two decades ago. The gym was so small that if there were two people it was one too many. The pool was small and staff there not interested if they had no available sunchairs for you, even if there was some still in the reservoir. Breakfast was quite good. We would rate this hotel 3 star hotel at most. Not a great experience if you have only few weeks to spend - dont spoil it in this hotel. Mehr

Ideal hotel to stay at Patong beach. Hotel location is perfect as very convenient for shopping and nightlife. Reception officers are very friendly and helpful.

Great hotel, stayed on the 19th level and right on the corner so full view of patong beach. do have work a bit to get right into shopping area but would definitely recommend for people who want somewhere a little quiter not in the hussle and bussle, with only a 5 minute walk to shops. Room was very tidy and much nicer than other places. great bath rooms […] and shower pressure which is always a nice thing to have :) i would definitely stay there again if we had the same room!! loved this place, right in the heart of it. yes is by the gay strip but its 50m and its fun walking thru and can walk around if you want. pool was awesome, room was massive stay in the deluxe royal wing! do not stay in superior!

A fair deal for the price.

This is the fourth time I have stayed at the hotel and it is a wonderful feeling to see your name up in gold letters on a 'Welcome' board. The small intimate cocktail bar on the 24th floor is the best kept secret in the whole of Patong Beach and has sweeping views across the harbour at street bar prices. You also have access to the observation deck. The […] hotel is centrally located and a short distance from the Junk Ceylon shopping precent. The small Thai eating place 'Flukes Kitchen' immediately opposite the hotel is a wonder discovery of local food at unbelievably cheap prices. Mehr

Although the hotel is 22 years old, it still offers and delivers at a five star rating at one star prices. We went in low season (August) , and this place has to be the best value for money in the world. Can't fault it at all. The swimming pool is wonderful and the buffet breakfast awesome! Will definitely stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel for 16 days. I upgraded my room to deluxe and found a small room with no internet. There was noting deluxe about the room. The breakfast was always the same and there were no chesee and no fresh juice - only breakfast to 10 am. The location is good near the town and shopping.

Overall this was a nice hotel, There was no pay movies and the Royal wing was less than Royal. I would go with the Jr suite next time. The free breakfast was great. Do not order the shrimp cocktail in room servive. There idea of cocktail sauce is ketchup and mayonaisse.

They let us pay 10 times the price of a bed tissue that they missed from the room. And the manager refuse to talk to us to explain to him/her that we didn't take anything. they act so badly. P.S.: after leaving phuket, we went to chiang mai and we checked the price of this bed tissue, it is called bed runner and it cost just 100 baht.

Stayed here just recently over easter 2011. Was very happy with the quality of the hotel. the surrondings are a little run down, as well as the interior of the hotel. the room Superior were great, clean and semi modern. the staff are very helpful and welcoming. its a good location, not exactly right in the centre, but i didnt manage to get a tuk tuk […] once, walking distance was fine. hotel food was good to, order room service once as well and that was satisfying. Breakfast buffet was great as well, alot of fresh food to choose from. when you check in you are reqired to give 1000 Baht for sercurity reasons and will recive it back when you check out. this was a little fustrating and i had to come back to australia with 1000 baht having to go to the atm as well. Overall i would rate Royal Paradise as a 7/10. defiantly payement satisfying. Mehr

The hotel is good value for money the only thing I didn,t like was the internet charges were very excessive

We have stayed at the Royal Paradise Hotel twice now. The most recent stay was in the Royal Wing. The hotel is in the middle of Patong and is a little bit old but for a cheap clean hotel including breakfast, it definitely does the trick. The hotel has a couple of good swimming pools and the breakfast is good.

The room was comfortable but basic. There was nothing wrong with the hotel as such but it lacked character and was a bit dated. It felt like it was a "tour bus" hotel. The breakfast buffet was a bit chaotic and nothing special but as food tends to be more expensive in Phuket, it was nice to have a meal included in the price of the room.

When we entered our Superior room at the The Royal Paradise Hotel & Spa the first thing we met on the room was a condom on the floor! After telling the reception they gave us another room, When opened the toilet we saw pooh in the toilet! Besides this, the staff could speak almost no english! This was 1 of 6 hotels we stayed at in Thailand and the only […] one we will never visit again! Worst experience ever! Mehr

The hotel charged me 80 USD for a key that I didn't lost! The key was dropped in the box and they charged me anyway. They were very offensive and it was scary. In the pics it looks awesome but it didn't look even a little bit as close as the pics. The bathroom has a leak over the bath tub that makes that when you shower the bathroom always get all […] wet. We tried to change rooms but they said all rooms were the same. The hotel is around a big gay prostitution area which you always have to go through when going anywhere. This is a matter of taste. I think that even if I was gay I would not enjoy being there. Mehr

The hotel is located at a great location with easy access to food and shopping. The staff is very friendly and helping. The three restaurants in the hotel is added benefit with excellent food. The breakfast buffet was awesome. If you want to stay at a comfortable place with all the conveniences this is the place to be.

excellent, no complaints. Staff very courteous and friendly. very nice pool. Centrally located to all the action. A short walk to the beach, clubs, dining, shopping, and dentist.
