Very nice and calm hotel in the very intestine Montparnasse area. The hotel service is a catastrophe, though. No room service, broken lift, nothing to eat in the restaurant...

Das Hotel liegt mitten in Montparnasse, in der "Rue Delambre". An jedem Ende der Rue Delambre ist eine Metro-Station, beide keine 5 Gehminuten vom Hotel entfernt. Eine führt auf direktem Weg zum Eiffelturm, die andere unmittelbar zu Sehenswürdigkeiten wie dem Louvre oder Notre Dame. Die "Rue Delambre" ist ein enges Sträßchen mit kleinen Läden, Bars […] und Restaurants. Die große Überraschung dabei ist, dass man zur Villa Modigliani durch ein Tor ersteinmal in den Innenhof gelangt - und schon ist der Flair der engen Straße verflogen! Am Ende der Straße ist das (scheinbar offiziell) beste Fischrestaurant der Stadt, das ebenfalls sehr zu empfehlen ist. Leider kann ich zur Qualität des Essens nichts sagen, wir haben nie im Hotel gegessen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, wir haben beispielsweise ohne Probleme sofort einen Wlan-Code bekommen. Beim Ankommen wird man stets freundlich begrüßt. Deutsch spricht das Personal zwar nicht, mit Englisch gab es aber keine Probleme. Unser Zimmer war klein und gemütlich, sehr sauber, mit sehr bequemem Bett, modernem Bad und extra WC. Bei der Abreise steht nach dem Auschecken ein Zimmer zur Verfügung, in dem man die Koffer deponieren kann und in das man nur mit Schlüssel hineinkommt. Das Zimmer war kein "Spottpreis", aber der Preis war durchaus angemessen für den Allgemeineindruck des Hotels: wirklich ansprechend! Mehr

Das Hotel Villa Modigliani ist zu empfehlen! Der schöne ruhige Innenhof und der einladende Garten des Hotels ist eine kleine grüne Oase mitten in Paris. Die Zimmer sind recht klein, aber man hält sich ja tagsüber kaum im Zimmer auf. Das WC ist getrennt vom Badezimmer, welches immer ein Pluspunkt ist. Hotel is in a great location and is nice and quite. Room was satisfactory but the carpets and linens were discustingly dirty and we were unable to obtain any new clean ones as the front desk stated the hotel was full!

Very good location. Close to restaurants, grocery stores, and pastry shops. Easy acess to Edgar Quinet and Vavin metro stations, it is easy to reach Versalles-rive gauche by Edgar Quinet metro station to champ de mars RER (line C). Great location a few minutes from Metro, set back from street and very quiet. Good restaurants close by. Air conditioning struggling but overall would go back again. We had a triple room - actually a double room with a bunk bed separated by a sliding door from the main bedroom. Not a lot of space but perfectly adequate and well priced.

Very convenient. Good hotel. See it in the google maps before you go, so it will be easy to find. as the building is kind of hidden behind a very old look entrance. Some of the staff is very good. Area looks like very famous for dining. So restaurants around are full and very costly.

We arrived in Paris on a Thursday and were taking the train out of town at 9AM the next morning. Our decision to stay at the hotel was influenced by it's convenient proximity to the Gare Montparnasse train station. It is very modern with a beautiful courtyard at the entrance. Villa Modigliani was better than I'd expected, given it's relative inexpensiveness compared to other hotels in Paris. The setting was perfect, in a nice neighborhood close to restaurants, metro stops, and not far from the center of Paris. The hotel itself is within a quiet courtyard and our room was free from traffic noise, even when the windows were […] open. The set up of the room was nice for a family room, there was a bunkbed separated from the queen bed by a small door which allowed a little more privacy than other family rooms we'd stayed in. My concerns were with the unpleasant smell that occurred when we'd return to the room after a day out, particularly if we'd left the bathroom door open. And the last night of our stay we had a leak from the ceiling that continued through the night. I'm hoping it was due to the high humidity of the air and the air conditioning, rather than the source of the unpleasant smell....... We left very early the next morning for the airport so didn't have the opportunity to see how the hotel would deal with the problem. Three of us stayed here in April and had a perfect room with a bed + 2 bunk beds. The room was clean and comfortable and as we faced an inner courtyard, it was also quiet! The overall value for the money for the hotel is quite low. The only hotel i have seen in years that still uses woollen blankets whch are quite uncomfortable. Except for the excellent location I dont have much to suggest for the hotel.

This hotel is in such a great location, minutes from Notre Dame and right next door to 2 metro stations which take u directly to loads of sights. The neigbouring streets are great with lots of great cafes for breakfasts and a street full of places with amazing crepes. The staff were so friendly and helpful at check-in too. The third bed was squashed in at the bottom of the other two beds and there was no room at all to move . I think this hotel would be perfect for a couple to be honest. The Villa Modigliani is just round the corner from Vavin metro stop. It is really very well situated. The hotel surrounds a courtyard and is very quiet. It is so quiet that I could sleep with the windows wide open - just as well, as for some reason the air conditioning didn't operate, however the bed did have blankets rather than the hateful duvets […] used in many other hotels. This was an oasis in the middle of the city. The entrance is tucked away in off the rue Delambre with a small fountain in the middle. The room was very spacious for Paris (we had the triple room), clean and well equiped and tranquil. The complimentary WiFi was a bonus for my husband to check the football scores. We were very pleased with Villa Modigliani. The room was quite comfortable (although we were a bit disappointed in the strength of the air conditioning in our room) and large enough for the three of us. The complimentary WiFi in the room worked well, so we could use Google maps to search for restaurants, etc.. The staff were all pleasant and helpful […] and most were fluent in English (and graciously tolerant of my stumbling attempts to speak in French). The location proved quite convenient for us. It is a short walk to either of two nearby Metro stops. Within a block or two were two bakeries, a grocery store, an ATM, a produce market, and a laundromat, and there were plenty of nearby restaurants. We greatly appreciated the hotel's courtyard and garden patio areas as peaceful places to enjoy breakfast or a snack or just to sit and plan our next adventure. We would stay at this hotel again in the future and would recommend it to friends. Mehr
