Herrliches Hotel mit großen Zimmern, Balkon mit Blick auf den Jachthafen oder die Bay , Kühlschrank und warmen Frühstück in fantastischer Umgebung auf Shelter Island . Waren hier bereits zum 3. Mal. Parken derzeit nur $ 5 . Sehr freundliches Personal .

Das Hotel liegt günstig zu Old Town San Diego. Es benötigt mal eine Renovierung. Eine Lobby, in der man sich einmal hinsetzen kann, ist nicht vorhanden. Der Empfang ist aber freundlich und hilfsbereit. Empfehlenswert nur für Leute, die sich mit einem sehr einfachen Hotel begnügen u nd nicht viel Geld ausgeben wollen.
Lage
Bay Breeze Inn & Suites liegt in Chula Vista (South Bay) in der Nähe der folgenden Sehenswürdigkeit: Silver Strand State Beach. Zu den weiteren Sehenswürdigkeiten der Region gehört Folgendes: Cricket Wireless Amphitheater.
Ausstattung
Ein kostenloser Highspeed-Internetzugang per Kabel steht in den öffentlichen Bereichen zur Verfügung. Außerdem steht Folgendes zur Verfügung: Kaffee in der Lobby, Fahrstuhl und klimatisierte öffentliche Bereiche. Parkplätze vor Ort sind für die Gäste kostenlos.

Das weitläufige South Bay ist für seine unmittelbare Nähe zur mexikanischen Grenze bekannt. In San Ysidro, nördlich der Grenze, befindet sich der am meisten frequentierte Grenzübergang der Welt. South Bay ist vor allem ein Wohngebiet, es finden sich dort aber auch einige Industrie-, Gewerbe- und Militärgebiete. Bei Touristen äußerst beliebt sind zum Beispiel Knott's Soak City Water Park und Coors Amphitheater, in dem Konzerte bekannter Künstler stattfinden.

"Coch Roaches"
Stayed in this hotel because it was close to the place I wanted to drink at and I would not hve to drive. When I opened the refridgerator there was a huge roach. The bathroom was disgusting. I could hear through the wall someone having sex, and someone fighting. It was terrible. Stay at this hotel at our own risk.

It's not a great hotel, the bed was hard as a rock and there was a really strong smell in the room of sweat, specifically it smelled like dirty arm pits. Also no wifi in this day and age is not acceptable.

This place was overall pretty good, especially for the price for one night booked a week before online. Everything was clean and neat in the room. The room space, however, was pretty small. The service was good. We requested a microwave and small refrigerator which was in the room before we arrived. "Horrible!!!"
This is the worst place to stay even for one night. The air conditioning is not cooling. The water does not have cold water. The smell of the room is disgusting even thought it's a non smoking room it's still smells like cigarettes and the carpet is dirty that you can't barefoot. The parking is horrible there is no enough parking at the place and if […] you get there late you will be parking on the street that it's not even accessible and safe to be on it. "The Bay Breeze- Bates Motel"
I was so turned off by this hotel. No parking ever, you have to pay for ice. no microwaves, refrigerators, you have to pay for your room key. We had mold in our room, and they never cleaned it.

We were very disgusted with this place. For one, there are no suites. We could not fit a family of 6 in the room. This is basically a 4-story motel. The rooms smell like urine. The beds are hard as rocks with pancake-flat stained pillows. My baby's socks were black from walking on the carpet. Not all the rooms have the wood "entertainment center" housing […] the TV. The water pressure was erratic and we almost got 1st degree burns because the cold water was gone. The front desk was kind to help us find an additional room and housekeeping was curt since we mentioned the odors. We would not be coming back even if it was free. Mehr
"It'll do in a pinch..."
I roomed here for my trip to San Diego Comic-Con. It's actually just a piece down the road, and there's a trolley stop nearby, so if you're in town for anything at the SD Convention Center it's actually not bad. However, the room wasn't much good for someone who might have business to do; I tried using my laptop at the dinky little table and it didn't […] go over so well (but the wireless was dependable and I could watch a streaming movie with no difficulty). I have a bad back, too, and the bed didn't help. It was seriously like trying to sleep on a brick. So overall, it's an okay place to hang your hat if you're going to be spending a lot of time away from your room, and its proximity to San Diego makes it fairly convenient. The experience of rooming, though, was pretty cramped and uncomfortable... which is really a shame, since the rooms are actually a good size. There's just not a lot of usable space, and the beds are atrociously stiff. I'd say that if you can't find a plusher place in San Diego proper, this isn't a dreadful place to stay and store your stuff. Mehr

A conditional "yes" on this one. Price is right, neighborhood is a bit sketchy and far from beaches. Rooms basic but clean, no amenities, but at this price point, non really expected.

"do not even think to stay"

"close to places, horrible service"
Stayed at this hotel last weekend....didnt pay much for the room so didnt expect much. However anywhere I go I expect great customer service which I did not receive here. Needed extra pillows for my back since im pregnant and the guy at the desk said there's enough pillows in the room you dont need anymore. I was thinking to myself who are you to say […] how many pillows I need. He was very rude about it and didnt treat me like a guest. I was very disappointed by this. But as far as the room goes you get what u pay for and I didnt pay very much. Its close by to SeaWorld and the beach but thats the only benefit of this motel. Mehr

Hotel is in a pretty bad shape. Thin windows. The room I rented had cracks. Bed is pretty decent. Everything is pretty old, from the door bolts to the ice machine maker. The neighborhood is pretty sketchy. I didn't feel safe walking around the hallways at night. Some corners are pretty dark. Rent only as a last resort. Rent somewhere if you can. "Review of Bay Breeze hotel"
Our one night stay at Bay Breeze was a disaster. My wi8fe ,my daughter and I went to a Padre game Saturday and returned to the hotel about 10:30pm. There were a bunch of big(I'm not sure but they looked like they might be Samaoans) outside in the parking lot carousing and drinking. They kept partying and even after midnight they were going strong I […] did not say anything. However these guys kept drinking and making noise until 4 am. There were numerous people complaining and threaten to call the cops but no one did. The night clerk did not address this issue right because they had booked 10 rooms and he didn't want to get them in trouble, My family did not get a good nights sleep. Mehr

You get what you pay for. The bed was very hard, you had to pay for ice and it was in a questionable neighborhood. But there were no bugs! If you want a refridgerator or microwave make sure to include that in the notes when you book the room. The room was really bad. There was no place to hang any clothes. The pillows were flat as towels. The room was nothing like the photos. I would not stay there again if it was free.

"The Bay Breeze Inn in San Diego"
The hotel is very close to the freeway, train station, a mall and a view of the water. The surrounding area is not the best to look but the location met our budget. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel even supplied us with coupons for a local restaurant and a list of fun things to do in San Diego.
