Bin sehr zufrieden und kann das Guesthouse mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen. Grosszügige Zimmer, eigenes Bad, Wohnzimmer und Küche. Alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Lage ist ganz in Ordnung, machmal hört man allerdings den Verkehr. Gastgeber (Karen und Sergio) waren sehr nett, zuverlässig und sehr gut erreichbar per Mail. Checkout per E-Mail vereinbart, hat alles wunderbar funktioniert. Wurde von den beiden mit nützlichen Tips zu Veranstaltungen in Motevideo versorgt. Danke. Komme gerne wieder

"Gutes Hotel im Zentrum von Montevideo"
Meine Freundin und ich war Ende Okt. 2011 für zwei Nächte im Hotel in Montevideo. Wir können das Hotel nur empfehlen. Wir hatten ein sehr schönes Zimmer mit Blick auf den Rio de la Plata, so dass wir Schiffe anschauen konnten. Es liegt zentral (15 Gehmin. bis zur Altstadt). Es liegt nur ein Block von der großen Hauptstr. enfernt... Das Zimmer hat […] Kabelfernsehen (mit DW und CNN), es gibt einen Fön, Duschgel und Shampoo im Bad, ein gutes Frühstück, WiFi, zwei öffentliche Computer (wobei einer kaputt war), einen Pool, Sauna, Gym,... Vielleicht liegt es an unseren brasilianischen Hotelerfahrungen, aber es war das erste Hotel nach zwei Wochen Backpacking in Südamerika, dass mit "europäischen Standard" umschrieben werden kann. "Nothing but OK"
The Hotel is clean, located in the old town of the city. The first thing the taxi driver said when he took us there was "dont go out walking by night" Breakfaast is included and has the basics, its good I think it was convinient that it was 10 min away to the Ferry Terminal (to Bs Aires) so I guess thats the best. "Hotel Lafayette-Covenient Location"
The hotel is in Centro, two blocks off the main street of the city and within walking distance to the Old City where there are a lot of restaurants and cafes. They have a full breakfast included with your room and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Good location, rooms are old and a bit worn, I expected better for the price. Bar staff are great, others not so much. Left hotel for the entire day, room was not cleaned. Asked for late checkout, was told no problem. Then at checkout they hit me with a $60 charge for late check out that was never mentioned before. Tried to charge me for mini bar […] items I did not use at checkout. They will screw you on money exchanges. owed $6us for some items from the minibar. "OK - dated and worn down though"
Service was great, but the rooms and lobby were very dated. OK for basic accommodations (clean etc.) Area was somewhat central, but not great for just a night stay (would choose updated hotel on the water next time).

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Very nice rooms and internet worked well in the room (can't say that for all South American hotels). Great location. Excellent breakfast with lots of choices; hot food; fruit; juices; etc. We stayed 3 days to start with even though we were only going to stay one. Kept adding day at a time through hotels.com. We […] came back for our last 2 days in Uruguay and the staff upgraded us to a suite for the same price as they remembered us. We have been travelling now for 2.5 months and this was one of the best hotels we had all in all. This hotel is in central Montevideo and the surrounding neighbourhhood is OK; but there are street people sleeping in the area so use some normal caution (Not like Cuidad Viejo where it definitely is seedy, and a higher level of caution should be exercised.) "Cheap, clean and centrally located."
Really, for the price, you can't ask for more. I didn't try the pool or weight room but my room was just fine. Initially there was a problem with the wifi but the staff was all over it and resolved the issue within the hour. I only had one small snack of wine, fried shrimp and a caprese salad and the food was fine. The service in the restaurant though […] was glacially slow. It's not that he wasn't working... But there was only one person serving...and running room service too. Breakfast was decent ... Though I still ended up going out afterwards to find something more substantial. Tiene garage. Buena ubicacion centrica. Desayuno normal. Buena vista al rio desde las habitaciones traseras en pisos altos. El hotel es algo viejo pero en general esta bien.

Muy bueno el hotel. Está muy bien ubicado a sólo pocas cuadras del casco antiguo, y con todos los medios de transporte a mano. El desayuno es un poco desordenado, pero en líneas grales la atención es buena, las habitaciones cómodas, y la piscina que tienen hace más acogedora la estadía.

"Habitación muy confortable"
Un ejemplo de cuidado en los detalles tanto en el diseño como en los muebles y los detalles del baño. Con vista al río. Luces y colchones muy buenos así como los jabones y toallas. Personal muy atento y bien dispuesto.

Ficamos em dois apartamento, um com carpete de nylon e outro com carpete de madeira. O de carpete de nylon não ficava tão cheiroso e o carpete tinha algumas manchas que passava o aspecto de quarto não tão limpo, mesmo sendo uma área para não fumantes, o quarto estava com cheiro de cigarro, mas ambos os apartamentos eram bem confortáveis e limpos. Pegamos o buquebus (catamarã) de Buenos Aires para Montivideo, onde dormimos 1 noite neste hotel. Para este intento, o hotel atendeu às minhas expectativas, pois o quarto é limpo, a cama confortável, e o café da manhã muito bom. Além disso, o serviço dos empregados foi muito bom também. Entretanto, é um hotel antigo, embora bem conservado. Se fosse […] passar mais dias, escolheria um mais novo. A localização que ele fica é bem morta à noite, por ser no centro. Quando pedimos um taxi, o atendente disse que estava difícil, e que deveríamos buscar na rua. Isso num sábado a noite! Hotel bem localizado, preços razoáveis, boas instalações. Garagem pequena, com acesso difícil. Elevadores antigos e lentos. Bom banheiro e chuveiro, mas necessitando de manutenção. Bom café da manhã.

El hotel es muy comodo, tiene piscina, sauna, unas computadoras, nosotros no las usamos pero tienen disponibilidad. la gente es amable, el desatuno es buenisimo, sino que hay bastante congestion de clientes. el hotel queda cerca de la 18 de julio y es facil movilizarse en Montevideo. el wifi no funcionaba
