Hotel Eldorado - Kelowna

In my opinion this is the place to stay in Kelowna. Fantastic breakfast/brunch served lakeside is always amazing. The location is good but if you want to go down to Bernard and/or Water St. you will need a car or be prepared to spring for a quick taxi ride downtown. The staff here are very friendly and accommodating.

Over all my stay was excellent. Rooms are clean, wonderful lake view, quiet neighbourhood. Restaurant food was good and staff are helpful and friendly. Only negative comment would be some rooms are above the bar and can be noisy. Recommend you ask to be away from the bar when booking your room.

Hotels.com did not provide the best rate. Heritage room was extremely noisy, i.e. guests in the hallway and in the room above us stomped around in lumberjack boots. Restaurant meals excellent.

Great hotel overall. Very friendly staff, clean room, great food in restaurant and for room service at reasonable prices. Beautiful view of the lake from lakeside room. My only complaint would be the noise level at night. The guests above our room had their TV very loud at 2:30am, and the sound came right through the floor, as did the sounds of their […] shoes whenever they walked around the room. The Hotel Eldorado in Kelowna has a great restaurant & bar on site plus close to other great eating places; liked the location on the beach although not beach weather! Only downside is the room is pretty small but very clean, the bed was super comfortable bed which wasn't a problem as we didn't spend a lot of time in our room!

This hotel is fabulous!!!...BUT the first night we stayed there we were in the Historic Boutique section which had a lovely room, bath, and large deck..BUT the noise was really loud, and we did not sleep much of the night...after calling the noise?? which noone could find settled down that was 3 am...and we were up at 6, so for the second night we asked […] to be moved which they did....all we wanted was quiet...the room was an upgrade, quiet, and fabulous. We have not stayed at your hotel before, however we will be back. On line reservation was done professionally, On arrival we were greeted by two nice young female clerks. Loved the heritage decor, the room was clean and very cumfortable. Even though we do not watch much TV, it would havce been nice to tune into the morning news. Our TV would not come […] on. Staff was so pleasant, loved the old feel of the hotel. Make sure to ask about the history of the hotel.

Excellent family owned botique hotel. I found it quite by accident but will definitely return. Super friendly, super clean and modern rooms. 5 stars!

Rooms are spacious, the lake walk is beautiful. The food is really good and the attached liquor store has a great stock of BC wines!

The Room was extremely warm and stuffy! we had to turn on the air. The bed were not all that comfortable for the rate we paid it was not all that!! Probably would not stay there again or recommend to friends.

I travel a lot and always stay at the Eldorado. The staff are caring and very friendly. The service is exceptional. The home away from home(except much nicer)

The el dorado was great, as it should be for the price. But, they really went all out when I forgot my pillow, which is specially made for my neck and back. They shipped it to me ASAP, and we're very happy to help!

Hotel Eldorado is located away from the downtown area of Kelowna and set right on the lake. While it is located more in a residential area, there are a couple other hotels close by and really good restaurants as well. The bar in the Eldorado is one of the go-to locations in Kelowna for the over 30 crowd and is usually a busy place Friday and Saturday […] nights. The restaurant located in the hotel has an excellent selection and offer excellent meals. Being right on the water, if you can get a table on the boardwalk during the summer, it is a great place to eat and people watch. There is a beach that is located just a few minutes up the road. There are a couple other good restaurants close by, two-minute walks, and a good pub about a three or four minute walk. If you want even more choices, hop in the car and head just north of the hotel for even more selection. The hotel is an older building that is well maintained, but they also did an add-on some years ago, so your rooms can vary between a 1930's style room or a more modern room. The rooms in the original section of the hotel boast clawfoot bathtubs and decor of the era, but are very clean and fresh. Being on the water, half the rooms face the lake, while the other half face the parking area, or mountainview, as they call it 0 you can see across to the hills. Rooms in the older section are surprisingly large. Being that the hotel is a hot-spot for dining and partying, especially in the summer, it can be a busy and noiser atmosphere due to that. However, if you are there to enjoy, then you are in the perfect location. Some rooms have very large decks. The last room I stayed in there, Room 212, although not on the water, had a massive deck and was great for sitting outside and taking in the evening. The room itself was very large and comfortable. The Hotel Eldorado sits on the banks of Lake Okanagan, commanding beautiful lake and mountain vistas! The staff are very friendly, highly professional most efficient, and enjoyable to speak with. Our room had a very warm and comfy feel (even in the deep of winter) no doubt enhanced by the cork flooring throughout. Arms Lakeview Luxury Suite was very comfortable and clean. The view of Okanagon Lake was spectacular. The location was great for walking too. Will definitely recommend.

My recent stay at the Eldorado was absolutely beautiful, I have spent lots of time in this Hotel back in the late 70's and early 80's...and still enjoy my stay...but this time was a very special stay and we couldn't of been happier :)

During my stay I had to stay on second floor, there was ramp to my door but no railing to walk up the ramp and an elevator, which was nice. But to go to the dining room, restaurant I had to go outside because to get to the restaurant from my room there two flights of stairs.It was twenty-five below when I stayed, not nice. To the restaurant the were […] stairs only, an to the front door there was a ramp with railing that was very wobbly. When I phoned for my reservation I asked for handicap facilities, but did not receive had I known this I would not have stayed here. The room seemed clean I walked barefoot in my room and my feet got very dirty we left our shoes at the door, the color of the floor i guess hid the dirty floor. Mehr

Only thing it is lacking is coffee makers in the rooms:(

The staff were really great here. They were friendly, polite and very helpful. The rooms are very comfortable and pretty and the location is really nice, right next to the water. I was there for business so it was a little out of the way for me but definitely more than worth the extra 10 minutes drive and I will stay there again.

Our bed was the best bed ive slept in, in a hotel. Room service was quick. Very friendly and all our requests were made and done promtly.

Built in 1929 it has some interesting history and antiques scattered throughout. There are 2 very long old wooden "Sculling" row boats hanging from the ceiling, one in the pool area and one in the restaurant. A good view of the sunset over the lake and a nice dock / waterfront board walk. The main floor restaurant was extremely overpriced and I would […] not go to it again. The Eldorado is set on the waterfront of Lake Okanagan, in what can only be described as an idyllic location. The staff are very polite, the accomodation and facilities are excellent, in fact I'm at a loss to find fault. We dined there several times over the weekend and the food was well presented, full of flavor and served by waitresses whose manners […] were second to none. I have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone thinking of staying in the area. Mehr

The location and reputation of the hotel made it my choice for a work stay of 2 nights, mid October. I was in the older section and like this style of room very much. The cork floors were beautiful and the room had character and comfort. Front staff were terrific. I will return, happily.

Our hotel room was the smallest room we had ever seen. You had to kneel on the couch to look out the high window. The bathroom was not clean and so tiny that you had to set your toiletries on the floor. In the restaurant, the service was not professional but the food was good. We ended up leaving our credit card there and finally back tracked our steps […] the next day to find it. One would think that shortly after we left the restaurant, they would have discovered our card, looked through the guest registry and returned it back to us before we even noticed it was gone. When we booked through the internet we requested a quiet room as we were two exhausted parents looking for a night away from the kids and some good sleep. For some reason they put us in the room facing the parking lot which was very noisy. The bed was hard as a rock so needless to say the sleep was less than restful. The site, the service, the comfort, and the food ! wow ! This hotel has a lot of caractere and its location right on the O'Kanagan lake makes it a to go destination. We ate beautiful food served with a lot a know how. This was a marvellous stay.

Located on the shore of Okanagan Lake, this is a great place to unwind; facilities avail;able encourage this.However, some meal prices are quite excessive.

Enjoyed this hotel. Set to replicate 1926 design, it was very homey. Loved the outdoor and veranda eating areas.
