Alles in allem ein empfehlenswertes Hotel an praktischer Lage mit gutem Service und herrlichem Ausblick (ich wohnte in der 26. Etage). Die Escalators, welche in die Mid Levels führen, sind nur wenige Gehminuten vom Hotel entfernt. Rund im diese haben sich viele Restaurants, Bars und Shops niedergelassen, die ein sehr lebendiges Ambiente bewirken. das Hotel liegt mitten in Hong Kong von da aus kann man alle Verkehrsmittel optimal erreichen. Das Hotel selbst ist sehr gepflegt, mein Zimmer lag im 24. Stock zum Hafen hin, eine grandiose Aussicht auf den Hafen und Kowloon.

Super Lage. Alles sauber und gepflegt. Leider ist der Geräuschpegel etwas hoch. Dünne Wände und laut zufallende Türen. Wer also gern ausschlafen möchte, ist hier falsch... Im Großen und Ganzen können wir das Hotel jedoch empfehlen.

Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet. Die etwas teureren Zimmer mit Hafenblick sind ihr Geld absolut wert. Man sieht wirklich auf den Fluss. Die Reception war sehr hilfsbereit und hat uns z.B. Restaurants reserviert. Die Zimmer sind sehr klein, allerdings hat es alles, was man braucht wie Föhn, Duschgel, Zahnbürste, Finken, Bademantel, Wasserkocher, gratis Kaffee, […] Tee, Wasser. Der gratis WLAN-Zugang im 4. Stock hat nicht immer funktioniert und die Aufzüge sind unglaublich langsam. Alles in allem kann ich das Hotel aber allen weiterempfehlen, die nicht allzu viel Geld ausgeben wollen und trotzdem zentral wohnen möchten. Mehr

The hotel, specially the rooms are beautiful. I had the viem to the harbour. The hotel is in the hills and the MTR station Central is quite far. But you can walk to the pier if you want. You can use the lift up the hills, is quite easy. There are a lot of small stores arround the hotel.

The nearby street markets and Chinese art shops make this one of the most authentically Asian areas. The hotel is close to all major attractions and transport, but it's the atmosphere that makes it special.

The area is great for restaurants, bars and shopping. It's also easy to walk to Central from here. We had a great four-night stay at the Lan Kwai Fong Hotel. The location is superb, on Hong Kong Island near the old Chinese area. It's close to markets, dozens of restaurants, shopping, antiquing on Hollywood Road, the mid-levels escalator, and lots of nightlife. It's a $3 cab ride from the Airport Express station. We had a hard time finding the enterance. Nice 4 th floor complementary coffee, water and wifi area. Room small but very combat with everything you need. Could walk to a lot of restaurants and shops.

Walking distance to both Sheung Wan and Central MTR stations as well as Lan Kwai Fong and the Mid-Levels Escalator. Also nearby is a Pacific Coffee, Man Mo Temple, and the Cat Street markets. Rooms are tiny and no closet space - cost per sq-ft is higher than Four Seasons. The Lan Kwai Fong Hotel is a boutique style hotel with a minimalistic lobby used for check-in/ check-out. All the rooms & small gym are on upper floors. The decor is Asian style with a simple shower (only) and a double bed. We requested views of the Causeway Bay and received a fairly decent view blocked only by a a couple of buildings. Great experience. The room we stayed on 29th floor (stayed 5 days) was a little too small compared to the room on the 24th floor (stayed 3 days) we had earlier. Good value for HK. Location is convenient (short walk) to MTR and Lan Kwai Fong. Rooms are tiny but otherwise fine. Everything was clean, staff are helpful. No complaints. As a business traveler, I've stayed here many times. Didn't try the restaurant.

The hotel was in a great location and the lobby was nice, but the room was not clean, the bathroom had gunk build up, I put my bedspread on the top of the vanity and dust and dirt flew everywhere....even the refrigerator/mini bar was not clean. No excuse for a unclean environment. Would not stay at again.

If you want to be close to the Central region then this hotel is a great location. The rooms are on the smaller side but very comfortable and the hotel staff are very helpful on all matters. I will definitely stay here again in HK.

Overall, if you're going for location, this is a fantastic place to stay. It is literally 2 mins away from the Sheung Wan stop on Hong Kong Island and within walking distance to Central, Soho and LKF. Definitely very convenient. Lan Fai Kwan hotel has a great central Hong Kong island location. It is probably a 10 min walk from the Macao/Hong Kong ferry terminal, a 15 minute walk to the Kowloon ferry pier and a 20 min walk from the Hong Kong train station / airport express. The rooms are small, but hey, this is downtown Hong Kong. Otherwise, they are clean and the location can't be beat. It took about 45 minutes to get from the airport to the lobby via the MTR airport express- which is about as fast and as cheap as that's gonna happen. Check-in was fast and efficient with the reception staff very courtious. My room was on the 22nd floor with what was described as having a harbour view, the harbour view was however small sections of the harbour seen between the imposing high buildings in front, I could live with that albeit it would be better described as limited harbour views. Hotel room was gorgeous and surprising in space for other places I have traveled in Asia. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Location is walking distance to delicious restaurants and the famous party area. 10-15 minutes walk to the metro as well.

The rooms are rather small but sufficiently appointed. There is a view of the harbour - at least from the upper floors. At floor 33 (the top floor) my room had a reasonable sized balcony (even if I didn't use it). The breakfast is acceptable. Apparently the restaurant is very well reputed (although I did not use it). nice, centrally located chinese style hotel. Many of our Hong Kong clients knew the hotel. Very friendly staff. Soho and Lan Kwai Fong within walking distance - there are various restaurants, bars etc. We easily found a tiny, very good restaurant. The only negative thing was the Lobby: it is an open-air terrace on the 4th floor with self service coffee/tea […] facility. Quite nicely done -but for meeting clients not always optimal - we had construction work going on next "door", so it was very loud and noisy in this "lobby". Before booking the hotel i was given an option of a harbour view at an increased cost. I had not stayed at the hotel before and thought a harbour view would be nice to look at. Space is the most precious commodity in Hong Kong - so don't expect too much in the rooms of this "boutique". Nice friendly staff and great location make up for a tight squeeze if you're carrying a lot of gear.

This hotel is in a great location for exploring the Hong Kong Island area of Hong Kong as well as riding the subway to the Kowloon area. The staff were very helpful when we needed suggestions about places to visit and how to get there. We especially appreciated the fresh fruit and bottle of wine that were complementary in our room.
