Viel Spaß in Tokio!

Ansonsten durchaus empfehlenswert. Mehr

"Gute Lage, sehr kleine Zimmer"
Das Hotel bietet sehr kleine Zimmer. Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer. Die Fenster lassen sich nicht öffnen.
As expected in the very clean country of Japan, the rooms are also very clean. The room was well equipped with LAN cable, hair dryer and many other, useful things. However, our room on the 10th floor was really tiny. We were even struggling to put our suitcases in a place where we can open them and won’t trip over them. For the amount of money you […] pay for a room, I believe you can expect better. Mehr

"Great Hotel for the price"
Overall the Hotel was great, probably the best bang for your buck, few things that you should keep in mind, rooms are very small about the size of a room on a cruise, which is normal for Japan, you must have a room key inside this slot (in your room) to activate the appliances and bathroom light, rooms have no insulation so sound passes through very […] easily, pillows are weird (made out of little beads, my friend calls it a poor mans memory foam) but not that bad. Location is pretty good about a 5-10 minute walk from the Shinjuku station, (exit the South exit from Shinjuku station it was the quickest way to the hotel if you go in between buildings) ..........Trains stop at midnight in Japan and Taxis are very expensive. "Great hotel for the price"
Hotel is about 5-6 blocks from the metro and located in a nice area near many shops and restaurants. It's a pretty large hotel with several restaurants inside the hotel, also has a foreign check in desk where the staff speak English and helped us schedule a couple of tours (not included in the price). If travelling by metro, Shinjuku is a large and […] busy station so be sure to exitthecorrect exit. Mehr

"Hotel Washington - Shinjuku - Tokyo"
Close to Shinjuku Station - which is extremely well connected Rooms are spotless - but very small, I guess this is relatively normal for Tokyo.
"Good value"
Couln't ask more for the hotel
"Clean, great location, what more do you need|!"
The Washington is situated in a great location - its a 10min walk to the heart of Shinjuku. You also have the governments buildings near by and a nice little park. My only issue was the rooms we're really small and there was no storage space. Also you can get Wifi access but you have to pay 500 yen deposit in return for a nifty random router which […] was adequate. Staf we're very friendly (as most Japanese people are) - and helpful indeed. Definitely recommend if you are looking for hotel in a good location and want to use it as a base to get around. Mehr
"Good location"
The hotel is linked by a underground walkway to the Shinjuku Station which is great in cold weather and when it rains. Also was a drop off point for the Airport Limousine and a pick up point for many local day tours. Whats great is that there is free internet access in the rooms and wifi in the public areas. We can check our mails and plan routes before […] we leave the hotel for the day. Service was good and the level of cleanliness in the rooms is acceptable. We stayed in the annex block and it would be great if there was a covered linkway to the main building, Everyday we had to cross to the main building and it was cold and raining which was inconvenient. "Business Hotel"
I have stayed first time at this hotel. I consider this hotel as a business hotel which has a easy access to Shinjuku area. But as a business hotel, the price is quite expensive. Maybe I have visited during the pean time. And I would recommend to have a some renovation.
"Very very small rooms with no air and tiny tiny w"
Good location but barely worth the money even though it's cheap. Room very very hot at night even with ac on max! Feels like u r in flight, no air and highly pressurised. Generally very run down, traces of numerous pukes in hall way. Barely any view, would opt for a cubicle instead.
"good deal for the price"
small room but that's to be expected. very convenient to shinjuku station. super friendly staff. my only complaint is that the air conditioning wasn't working.
"Easy, and good for English Speakers"
The staff was ready to handle English only speakers, with an Information Desk just for foreigners. Free WiFi in the lobby, and a cheap and fast PC available if you don't have your own. Good for first timers and families. OH, and there is an underground passage all the way to Shinjuku station if it is cold outside.

"Good value for the price"
Oldish carpet, very small room but has the necessities, very busy reception, its a out a 10 min walk to main shinjuku station.
"Small room but with great location"
The hotel was very convenience which close to restaurants and shops. However the rooms and the beds are pretty small which was probably expected for hotels in Tokyo. The hotel itself however was disappointing. I stayed in a double bedroom with my friend, and after putting both our luggage in the pathway, there was barely any space for us to walk to […] our beds. The bed itself was pushed right up against the wall, so that the person sleeping closest to the wall would have almost no way of getting to the toilet other than by climbing over the other person. However, they do have a very well english speaking customer service staff. Mehr

"hotel very hard to find"
The pathway to the hotel closes quite early from the subway , building around the hotel all looks the same. Very hard to find the hotel in conclusion . I hope they have better sign around or have shuttle bus to the subway back and fro. They do not have complementary power adapter too , have to purchase at 1000yen .
I stayed 3nights at lady floor(14Fl.). The room is clean, but too small. And the bedclothes is not soft. I would like to stay other hotel at next time. :)
"Shinjuku Washington"
Rooms are relatively small but for the price you can't ask much in Tokyo. 8-10mins walk to shinjuku station, there's another station tocho-Mae which is 5mins walk, tat line will bring us to quite a few places of interest.
"Washington Hotel - Shinjuku"
Great Hotel with an almost perfect location. The rooms are a little bit small for our North American Standards but great set up.
"Rock hard bed, not the best location"
This was our first hotel in Japan and we thought it was OK, it wasn't until we stayed at a few more in the same price range we realised it wasn't the best value for money. The room is tiny even by Japanese standards, the bed was extremely hard, the staff not particularly helpful. Every time we went to breakfast the lines were massive which got a little […] frustrating. It's a fair few blocks away from Shinjuku station and the interesting part of shinjuku, if you want a decent meal it's a ten minute walk. On the plus side there are laundry services and internet and a 24hr convenience store in the building. Mehr

"reasonable price, convenience location hotel"
Overall the hotel is good, a bit old but at reasonable price. The indoors heat is just too hot which I need to ask the hotel staff to open the hotel window for me. Staffs are nice and in good english, some speaks mandarin too. Good locution.
The hotel is very nice for transportation, you will be able to tours and airport limousine pickups right at your door step. Most of the reception staffs speaks English, hence it's quite convenient. The only complaint is the rooms are too small, it's almost like motel rooms within a hotel.
"Shinjuku Washington Hotel"
A basic hotel with everything needed for a short or longer stay. Several restaurants inside the hotel's building, a 5 minute walk to the nearest subway station, to the Shinjuku West area with countless stores, a 10 minute walk (underground or not) to Shinjuku, the biggest transportation hub in Tokyo. The hotel also has a coin laundry and a Family Mart […] opened 24 hours a day. Mehr

"Dirty walls and Moldy windows"
Soon as we got to the hotel it looked all good and updated, well little did we know how tiny and dirty the rooms were. 1st room we got had brown stuff on the walls near the bed. The 1 tiny window in the room had mold around them from condesation. The condensation was so heavy that u cant even see out the window. we immediately go down to change rooms, […] they switch us 1 room over, We spent 1 night in the room, the size was small but we can bear with size, its just cleanliness that was the issue, After spending 1 night in the room I woke up sick with stuffy nose and cough. After looking at the dusty air vents and how much mold was really around the window I did not feel comfortable laying my head down and breathing mold. It is literally right above our head. I am here for vacation not to get sick. This was the 2nd hotel we've been in since we got to Japan. the 1st hotel was in Kawasaki and it was awsome, it was called the Sunroute Hotel. Sunroute was clean and friendly and we loved it. but WASHINGTON HOTEL is all talk, they were not willing to show us more rooms, they simply said the rooms are the same. and our only option was to upgrade. hmm more money, well due to me feeling sick I made them show me more rooms in the ANNEX building of Washington Hotel, after seeing 3 rooms we chose 1 wich was about twice the size and 2wice as clean as the previous room. This one had bigger windows and no mold. I have not felt sick in this room. I did have to pay more to upgrade but my health is priceless. I think since the hotel is so big its hard to keep it clean. I suggest staying at a smaller hotel chain like sunroute. There is actually a sunroute hotel up the street. Had I known this then I would have stayed there. I am 6foot2 and the first room was not cutting it at all. My feet hang off the bed in both rooms. I would have to ask my wive to move out of the way so I can squeeze by, it was literally 4 walls and a bed, I could scretch out and touch all 4 walls at once if I wanted. Mehr
"Shinjuku Washington"
Decent rates. Room size was small but not as small as we had expected. We booked a double room which could fit in 2 huge suitcases. Room had a very small window with no view but that was fine since we were out all day. Room was comfortable with better than expected shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Free internet in room was convenient and easy to […] connect. Only gripe was that the hotel was a smoking hotel. The thick cigarette smoke hits you the minute you step out of the lift into the hotel lobby on the 2nd floor. That was very unbearable. No seats in the reception area for guests to sit. Hotel location was very near to Shinjuku station and the main shopping area. Hotel has underpass connection to the Tokyo Metropolitan Govt Building. Mehr
"very convenient near to subway"
the hotel is at a very convenient location and underpass from the subway to the hotel. it is also close proximity walking distance to one of the sight seeing place. rooms are clean and well kept. it is not that small as i have been to a few hotels in japan that is very small.
"Shinjuku Washington Hotel"
The corner room was comfortable and clean. Many restaurants on the first and second floor operated by concessionaires. The hotel breakfast service on the top floor was not at all good. It is not recommended. The underground walkway to Shinjuku station was convenient.
"Good, comfortable & convenient place to stay!"
Besides the comfort, convenience, and cleanliness of the hotel, we are especially impressed with the "foreign tourist information" counter with extremely helpful people who speak good and even excellent English. The airport limousine bus that brings us to the airport from the steps of the hotel is an added plus. Then too, the underground walkway from […] the hotel to the Shinjuku Station and vice versa make commuting easy and convenient. Mehr
"Disappointing hotel"
The pictures of the hotel on hotels.com were not the actual hotel we stayed in. We were directed to the Annex building instead. There was no indication of the "annex" before we place the booking. And our Japanese friend also agreed that it's a good deal. But to our disappointment, the room is rather small and the toilet is the size of a shoebox. Not […] to mention that it's a distance from the train station and shopping belt. Before we came here, we were stay at Ginza - dai ichi annex, but the room size is twice the size of Shinjuku Washington ANNEX! At S$50 more! The front desk staff wasn't too helpful or polite except for a lady we met on the last day. Apparently, only the staff at Shinjuku hotel (main wing) are more professional. Mehr
"Shinjuku Washington Hotel is an A"
The Shinjuku Washington Hotel was beyond my expectations. Of course, I would not expect such a nice hotel for the price I've paid. Every employee is extremely courteous and always willing to do whatever possible to make you feel comfortable. The room is a little smal, but is nice, tidy and cozy. I do highly recommend it. Overall, it's an A.
"Shinjuku Washington - Within Expectations"
Stayed here years ago in the Main Buidling on a business trip. This time stayed 3 nights at the Annex Building for a holiday. Main plus point is the Airport Limo drops us from Haneda and pick us to Narita in front of the hotel. Otherwise, it is a good 15 minute walk to Shinjuku JR Station or the Tokyo Metro. Room was small as expected and the dressing […] table did not help in maximising usage of the already small room. Did not try the breakfast which was not included in the room price. Wired internet is available FOC. Mehr
