everything was good except for the handicap room did not have a shower like we had hoped and expected. Toilet was also a little low but everything else was great.

The service was ok, however the non-smoking and smoking rooms are mix together. So no manner where you go in the hotel you smell Cigarette's.

It was very nice hotel and would stay there again.

Overall we were very satisfied, They gave us a room on the first floor as we requested. The beds were comfortable. The TV was not very good, poor picture quality. Was glad to have microwave & refrigerator in our room, especially the frig., because my wife has special needs. Was kind of hard to find the hotel after getting off the interstate, (I-4)

Sleep Inn rooms were great and the service was even better. Very impressed with the brief stay in Lakeland. Would come back any time and stay at that location.

check the coupon books if you can't find a good price on hotels, but this hotel is not very old and always in great condition. Interior corridors, new everything, kind office staff. I always stay here and it's so the best price and quality I've found.

We wanted an inexpensive one night local stay. We didn't expect much with the price we paid. We got what we expected. A smiling face and a willingness to please; more than what you would expect from the tools she had to work with. If you need a place to rest for the night, this place works. If your looking for upscale, look elsewhere.

My wife and I chose the Sleep Inn and Suites in Lakeland as an affordable option for our week long stay. We are not hotel snobs and did not have especially high expectations. Unfortunately, even these were not met. The gentleman working the front desk made eye contact with us, then proceeded to ignore our presence for a few minutes before finally coming […] forward to check us in. Our room had a strange odor that persisted through our stay that may have induced severe headaches in both of us. The refrigerator made loud noises before breaking down within the second day, and the air conditioner occasionally made loud banging sounds. At least one day we received no maid service, and were given less and less towels every day. The hotel pool was not heated and was a temperature barely above freezing and thus unusable. The breakfast bar had mediocre selection with several missing items, and some of the food was hard or seemed re-heated. Altogether, lots of issues combined to make our stay rather unpleasant. We happily finished our stay in Florida at a different hotel, and would recommend using one of many other options if you are staying in Lakeland. Mehr

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast bar was poor at best. Here you are in Orange Country and they don't have orange juice instead some orange drink. Really! But that is okay because Cracker Barrel is next door..YUM!

We booked our room through hotels.com. Which we have done in the past with no issues. Upon arrival the girl behind the desk said our room was on the first floor. However, near an exit door, which we thought would probably get a lot of traffic (noise). Strike 1. Opened the door and discovered the room was not a "suite" that we had booked. We went to […] the desk to inform the girl about the mixup. She immediately informed us that it was not her problem that we would have to deal with it with hotels.com! Strike 2! After traveling all day this is not what a person wants to hear! The girl gets her manager on the phone. My husband ends up talking to the manager while I had pulled up on the computer our confirmation showing we had reserved a "suite" king bed for 4 nights. (Which the girl had no interest in looking at...completely ignored the issue.) The manager changed our room to a room on the 3rd floor, a huge suite with a king bed. The strikes were cleared until we had dropped everything off in our room and decided to go out and get a bite to eat where we hear the girl behind the desk tell a guest about the breakfast, the internet, etc. etc about the hotel ammenities. Had we not stayed at this hotel before we never would have known about these things because she didn't say a word to us about any of it. Mehr

Great deal for the price. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others and stay again. Our room was quite large and quiet, we were not disturbed by street noise or other guests. This hotel is within walking distance of a handful of restaurants but not much else when we were there but we were just passing through.

We stayed here for an overnight stay, location is convenient, just off the interstate. Breakfast was simple but decent We experienced one major problem, which was that our 15 month old daughter woke up in the middle of the night because there was a large cockroach crawling just besides her in her crib.

This is a great place to stay. Nice and clean and convenient. I checked in late and it wasn't a problem, there was still a clerk to help me. I felt safe and the place was comfortable. Great bathroom, there's just one big shower and no tub, which is great. I would stay here again if I was in the area.

All was excellent. Nice play to stay in Lakeland. Conveniently located.

I stay here everytime I am thru for business now. Always clean, interior corridor so it's safe. Updated hotel, wifi, decent breakfast, etc. Never any problems other than my cell not working the best in there away from the window-not their fault. ;)

The lobby smells vaguely of gas and disinfectant. The halls are dark and a little dingy. The breakfast had no fresh fruit, yogurt, or low fat milk, and yet we'll be back. The price was excellent. The location is near our parents. The staff was very friendly and efficient, and the room was great. The room was clean with two comfortable beds with eight […] lovely pillows. There was dependable wifi, a fridge and microwave, a spacious bathroom, and a large window that opened for fresh air. You could hear cars from 1-4 but the air conditioning could take care of that. Our room was clean and we had good housekeeping service. The hallway carpet was terrible and needs to be changed. My husband appreciated having a few more selections for breakfast than some places.

My wife and I stayed at this Sleep Inn for 6 nights and were pleasantly surprised. The price was very reasonable and the hotel surpassed our expectations. The hotel was clean and comfortable for the price. We stayed for convenience to the beach (approx 1 hr from Clearwater) and family. Have stayed here before on vacation and the quality if still with this hotel. Heard very little of others in the hotel. Housekeeping accomodated in any situation asked. If you need a place to crash for a couple of nights at a decent price this should do. The hotel and rooms were pretty clean and the included breakfast was good enough to get to lunch.

I chose this motel specifically for the wireless internet provided in each room. While there, we were never able to get onto the internet through the Sleep Inn & Suites wireless internet connection. Sometimes we were able to connect to the motel next door, but with very few bars of strength. I asked the desk clerk what the issue is and he was not able […] to answer my question or fix the issue. Only negative was bad smell in lobby

Although the exterior is not impressive and the hallway had a peculiar odor, the room was clean, comfortable and everything worked. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise. The staff as very friendly and helpful.

The stay there was very nice. The room was more then we expected ,very nice. We will stay there on our next stay in Lakeland.

This hotel started off bad. When I first went inside the front desk lady was eating in a room close by the desk area with her back turned to the desk. She did not notice me for about two minutes. I thought she was one of the maids because she was wearing a maid-like uniform top and did not look like a front desk person. Once I got off the elevator […] on the second floor I noticed an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke, although they have the policy of no smoking. The hallway rug was very dirty and outdated also. The smoke smell did not get any better when I got in my room, the smell was still very strong. I had to put towels at the bottom of my room door to prevent the smell from coming through. The next day I requested a new room and told the desk clerk that it smelled like cigarette smoke on the second floor. She did not seemed phased, but kindly gave me another room. The room they sent me to-the television didn't work and when I attempted to call down to the front desk, to inform her- I noticed that the phone did not work either! This is BAD NEWS when you can't even have a working telephone and tv in a room-even Motel 6 has that!! I was frustrated because I had to carry all my bags and things back down stairs. She doubted what I said and went up to the room to check it. They ended up giving me a third room and it was better. Finally, no cigarette smoke smell, broken television, & non-functioning telephone! I have never had a bad experience in hotels.com hotels in the past. They always seemed nicer than presented on their website. But I know now that you get what you pay for--although this hotel had over 4 stars. It should have 2 stars, if even that! I won't be back for sure!!!!! Excellent hotel for the money, will highly recommend!!!

This was a great hotel for the money. We were visiting family in the area and it was conveniently located and in a nice area. The room was clean. The woman at the front desk was friendly and helpful. If we needed anything she was there to help. The free breakfast was very good. The only thing is that I wish they had fresh fruit instead of canned fruit. […] Otherwise it was good for what we needed. Also, the shower was not powerful enough. It didn't have enough pressure. Its a well maintained, clean, easily accessible place to stay. Very close to shopping malls and lot of choice for eating places around. Its not very expensive too. Complimentary breakfast was not very impressive. Otherwise everything was good. I highly recommend this place to stay.

I have to say that this was the nicest stay we have had in a long time. The staff was friendly and engaging. The room was clean and bright. Very enjoyable experience.
