We had a Jacuzzi Water Villa and found it excellent. The island has plenty of amenities, good food and some great snorkelling. The slightly larger reosrt size means more food choices and places to go.

The only downside is you have to take your beach towels with you wherever you go as there is no beach towel changing facilities. Absolutely fantastic. We stayed in a beach villa and took our 2 children aged 10 and 6, there were no kids clubs (there is a games room for them), but they didn't need a club, they had a brilliant time, they saw dolphins, stingrays, grey herons, bats,crabs, jumping fish, liitle sharks .... They had a go at snorkelling, golf and kayaking and the pool […] was lovely. The staff were really nice and we even had a babysitter for one night, so we could go to the Asian Wok (great food). The scenery is stunning and the food is excellent and plentiful. The hotel is really clean and they are in the process of upgrading some of the villas and one of the pools, but all very discretely. Meeru was amazing, stunning place to be, beautiful views. Boat transfer from airport, welcomed with a cold towel and a glass of punch, very welcoming! We just returned from 6 nights at Meeru, which was just magical. We took the Jacuzzi water villa, which is placed just over water, with a huge deck overlooking the ocean. The room itself is great, the only shortcoming is that these rooms are offered in 2 locations - north part and center of the island, while most other attractions (pools, bars) are […] available in the center, it is a slight distance from the north part (~ 10 minutes of walk). Besides that, we took the All Inclusive plan, which means full board (3 meals) and a special drink menu which is free all day long (from 10:00 am). This proved to be not valuable for us, as the price difference didn't justify it, so i would recommend to consider if this option is really needed. We have undergone 2 different treatments in the over the water spa in Meeru, which were just fantastic. Overall this is a great location for a vacation, i would recommend it and would surely love to come back. Mehr

Nice 4 star hotel of that area. All that was to be exspected. Down side was westenised food with little local dishes. All inclusive was not all all inclusive, the resort was divided into two top island and bottom (north and south) and dinning / bars restricted to room allocation. More information on room and location for the bars and entertainment, […] out look and proximity to beach would have been better. On the positive side has one of the best dive centers in area with lots of dive sites. Spa exsperiance also very good and access easy as large capacity but personal capable. I believe Meeru All Inclusive package is excellent on the following basis of wanting the best luxury on a limited/capped budget. My criteria was, Water Jacuzzi bungalow, control on my food and beverage bill and the maximum amount of time in the Maldives my budget would allow for. Hotel Staff were outstanding, so friendly and the food buffet in the all […] inclusive was great with an abundance of choice. On this island, you can do as little or as much as you want. Whilst Meeru was not the height of luxury or paradise (which could be found at other resorts at a much higher cost I might add) , it will live in my memory forever and it is certainly a taster to come back to the Madives for more. We went to Meeru in February for our honeymoon. We flew direct with BA and then had 10 days at the resort. We had an absolutely amazing time, it's a beautiful island and we had a lovely relaxing time. You can do as much or as little as you want. Some days all we did was eat, catch a few rays, sleep and drink. We stayed in a jazuzzi water villa and […] it was perfect for us. Nicely decorated and furnished, plenty of space and stunning views over the ocean. Also at night with the lights on the water wildlife was amazing...as it was in the day too. We stayed in the north of the island and found the food in the restaurant was excellent and although it was a buffet there was always lots of different food on offer and plenty of choice...in fact it was more a case of trying not to eat too much. We went with an all inclusive package, which was perfect for us...plenty of water and soft drinks to keep hydrated and good quality wine and beer. The rose wine was a little sweet for us, but white and red were very nice and also they did a free cocktail everyday....but that could be a little hit and miss. The staff are all lovely and very very friendly and polite. Ali was our waiter the whole time we were there and was excellent and a good laugh too. Overall, an amazing place and one which we'd love to go back to as soon as possible. On a side note, I use a wheelchair and found the island to have excellent accessibility and the sand nice and compacted, which made pushing easier. Mehr

Meeru Island Resort was great! I suspect that there are other more luxurious resorts in the Maldives, but Meeru was extremely nice and at a lower price than many of the other resorts. (It was luxurious too, but from the reviews of other places I read, I suspect others are more so.) Travel was very nice. Check-in and all service exept Transfer from Male Airport to Meeru Island wasn't complimentary as it says on you seaching device for hotels... 在马累机场，酒店和其他几个酒店共用柜台，不过位置就对着出口。酒店离机场坐船需要1个小时左右，由于航次有限，到达机场后需要等待其他客人聚齐后才能乘船前往。上船后会发一支冰水。到达后会有欢迎仪式。按摩浴缸水上屋卧室里面是没有大吊灯的，只有四个角落幽暗的灯光，所以刚到的时候会很不习惯。按摩浴缸会自动根据水温运行，所以有时候会忽然启动，并且在没有达到水温前无法关闭。酒店的餐厅提供的菜以欧美风格为主，每餐都会提供一直1.5L的冰水，加上客房的免费水，所以其实每天水是足够喝的。由于中国人很少去，所以酒店没有中文服务，也不可以使用银联卡。总体而言，酒店充满了原生态，人和动物非常和谐的相处。每天躺在阳台上看日出日落还有星空是很幸福的事情。酒店的服务人员也很热情，餐厅的人员可以记得住你的房间号，客房人员每天都 […] 会布置一点新花样。是个值得再去的地方。 Mehr

Immerso nel verde di questa meravigliosa isola, è un hotel che offre ottimi servizi. Personale gentilissimo e preparato. Straordinaria esperienza ad un costo contenuto. Consiglio lo snorkeling giornaliero ad un prezzo veramente irrisorio. Colazione, pranzo e cena a buffet sempre rinnovato e molto ricco. Un pò care le bevande.

L'isola e' stupenda un vero paradiso ,l'organizzazione e' notevole piu' che maldiviani sembrano tedeschi ,la pulizia della camera viene effettuata quattro o cinque volte al giorno,l'esterno dell'isola poi e' continuamente spazzato dalle foglie secche ed e' complessivamente tenuta come un gioello. Se potete fatevi dare una camera vicino al ristorante […] asiatico e' sicuramente il punto piu' bello dell'isola e le trasparenze del mare sono da mozzare il fiato. La parte a sinistra dello sbarco e' invece l'unico punto dell'isola da evitare il mare solo in quel pezzo non e' memorabile, a noi proprio in quel punto ci avevano messo ma dopo le mie rimostranze ci hanno accordato la parte migliore e ci hanno dato una tipologia di camera superiore, fantastica. Per il mangiare noi italiani siamo molto esigenti si sa, ma la qualita' e buona, naturalmente tenendo conto di essere a 20.000 km da casa. Ho visto molti posti del mondo tra caraibi,america del sud,africa ma il mare delle Maldive e' veramente insuperabile. Mehr

Wat hebben we een heerlijke vakantie gehad in het prachtige Meeru resort. Blauwe stranden, tophotel, heerlijk eten (afwisselend in buffetvorm). We hadden all in geboekt, vond het enige minpuntje dat koffie verkeerd en cappuccino apart moesten worden betaald.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au meeru island resort. Le lieu est vraiment paradisiaque : mer turquoise, eau chaude, sable blanc. Par contre on a été déçu au niveau de la quantité des poissons, il y en avait très peu, beaucoup de coraux morts sur la plage et au bord de l'eau, ça fait mal aux pieds ! Nous avons vu pas mal de petits requins au […] bord de l'eau. Les bungalows sont très bien tenus, ils sont très propres, il y a beaucoup d'espaces. Nous avions un bungalow sur pilotis avec jacuzzi, nous n'avons pas été déçus. C'est très agréable d'avoir une salle de bain ouverte sur l'extérieur, ainsi qu'un jacuzzi et 2 terrasses. Le petit-déj est servi jusqu'à 9h30 (un peu tot quand on veut dormir un peu le matin). Les buffets de tous les repas sont bien garnis et changent souvent. Nous nous sommes régalés (Le chef est français). Il y a des animations chaque soir (concert, film, jeux). Les 2 piscines sont très agréables, des transats sont à notre disposition ainsi que des serviettes dans notre chambre. La connexion wifi est payante (pour 1h ou 2) et ne fonctionnait pas très bien. Le resto Asian Wok est sympa (c'est pas donné), il propose une cuisine asiatique diversifiée. Je conseille de prendre la formule tout compris (avec boissons), on ne paye rien sur l'ile, tout est mis sur notre compte et doit être payé à la fin du séjour. Le SPA est relativement cher (massages). Un massage de 15min vous est offert, à utiliser dans les 2 jours à partir de votre arrivée, c'était très agréable (quand on est en couple on peut se faire masser en même temps). L'équipe d'animateurs est très sympatique, on peut aller les voir si quelque chose ne va pas, ils nous aident sans aucun soucis et avec le sourire, certains parlent français. Pas de moustiques à l'horizon ! Uniquement des crabes sur la plage le soir. De magnifiques couchers de soleil à admirer en sirotant des cocktails sur la plage (dans les bars de l'île).
