This is a hotel on the far outskirts of Houston. Not too far away from Museum district, but a little drive from the main city. It is located in a midst of food outlets, Mexican, American, fast food ... so very convenient for those. Indoor pool was not heated! That made it VERY cold. There werent any pool towels and the locks on the doors didnt work […] - which meant we were trapped in an area .. fortunately the gate was unlocked so we could walk into the car park and through an exit. One day our room wasnt made-up and when we went to report it there was no housekeeping on, so we had to ask for towels etc. The other day although the room was made-up no shampoo, coffee etc was left. That said, the room was large, very high roof and one of the biggest bathrooms we have ever had. We were given an end corridor room which meant we could park straight outside our room. Breakfast was hot and cold provision, waffles, sausages, egg, ... coffee ran out quick and wasnt replaced as quick. NOTE it finishes at 9am and NOT 10am as in the room leaflet! Two evenings there was a managers happy hour, wine, beer, ... but were werent told about it and the third night there wasnt anything, so have no idea whether this is a service or not. I would recommend staying here if you want an out-of-city hotel, but the service was not of the highest quality. As to things to do, I would highly recommend going to George Ranch - very worthwhile. There is also the Port of Houston boat tours - but these need booking in advance. Likewise, if you are travelling down to Galveston, go to NASA. Well worth the visit. Mehr

clean, quiet, large room, nicely done. Staff is disinterested e.g. talking on cell in kitchen while breakfast room tables are dirty and no coffee. shower control broke on Wednesday, not fixxed as of Friday, simple replacement of plastic piece. front desk long personal conversations while customer waiting.

Hotel very clean, room actually a little nicer than I expected. Sometimes, it took a little while for someone to get to the front desk, but that was mostly at night. All in all, very happy with my stay.

Facility was adequate to spend the night in; room was clean and appreciated the fact that the business office offered free internet. There was an odd smell at the entry doors of the hotel.

This hotel is ok for the price. It suited our needs when it comes to traveling with a baby because of the refrigerator in the room.

The hotel was very average. The rooms were ok, but outdated. The bathroom was nice, but the sink did not drain well. The shower had good water pressure which was nice. The bed was comfortable. The towles were poor quality. The air conditioner could not be set to a temp so it was either hot when off or real cold when the AC was on. I would recommend […] this hotel because the price was fairly reasonable, but it was not a great hotel. Definately not on the top of my list. I have stayed in much nicer hotels. Mehr

I booked this room for our family "staycation" for spring break... we had activities planned in Houston, yet I had to be back at work the following day, so I wanted something in between. Stafford was perfect! It only took us about 20 minutes to get to our destination in Houston, yet we didn't have to stay at a hotel in town and deal with the noise and […] traffic. Very nice. I chose this hotel because it was one of the only ones I could find with an indoor pool. Our kids love to swim, and March is still a little cool for outdoor swimming. Well, when we went to the pool the eveing we arrived, we discovered that although it is indoor, it is not heated! We were all pretty bummed about that, but the kids insisted on swimming for a while anyway. The room was very comfortable and the hotel staff was very friendly. The kids have asked if we can go back again in the summer! Works for me! =) Mehr

I was overall very unsatisfied with our stay. Our main reason for picking this hotel was the indoor swimming pool. Swimming a LOT was going to be the highlight of our trip. Well, the heater was broken on the pool. you know it's cold if an 8 year old refuses to swim in it. Our keys didn't work and I had to make two trips to hte front desk to have that […] fixed. I finally got my 1 yr old down for a nap and the fire alarm went off. The toilet plugged up, and the fruit for breakfast was not ripe. I would not stay there again. Mehr

My husband and I checked in to the hotel at about 10pm so there weren't any other guests in the lobby. Even though there weren't any distractions, the lady at the desk gave us the key to our room and off we went. You can imagine our surprise when we put the key in the door, opened the door without any problems and we walk in on a gentleman sleeping […] in the bed. We quickly left the room and explained to the lady at the desk what happened and she just laughed and gave us another room. Then my husband and I had to be at the court house by 8am so at 7:15am we were waiting to check out and there wasn't an employee to be found anywhere. After waiting 20 minutes to check out, we realized that we didn't have any more time to wait so I left my key with a note and later called to explain to them that we had to leave. My suggestion: When opening the door to your room, screen the room and call out to make sure you are the only one in there. Mehr

The Sleep Inn in Stafford is a great hotel. Far better than most that we have paid $100+ per night for. Staff very helpful, large comfortable rooms and an above average breakfast. We will be back.

I was not expecting a room this big and nice for the price I paid. Stayed there for one night for business. Everyone was friendly and the room was very nice and updated. The shower, wetbar, and sink had nice granite countertops. The only complaints were the breakfast. I think the eggs were powdered eggs, but the bacon and the rest of the food was decent. […] And someone (maybe staff) poked a hole in a cup so when I put apple juice in it from the dispenser, the juice went pouring everywhere. We were the first ones there at 6A.M. so no one saw. However it gave my wife a good morning laugh. Great hotel, I would go back. Mehr

The continental breakfast was much more than you would expect...bacon, eggs, waffles, fresh fruit, etc. The room was comfortable, and the bed had more than enough pillows, and they were good pillows!

this hotel for the price we paid exceeded our expectations, located in a very nice area, there is a walmart very close to it, very nice, clean hotel, the price of the room included continental breakfast, the breakfast was awesome for been included in the price paid, there was tons of food to choose from, i will recommend this hotel to anyone, from families […] to business people.
