Standardzimmer sind für Preis und Lage viel zu klein, eher eine bessere Besenkammer. Das Bett war ebenfalls so klein, dass wir zunächst nachgefragt haben, ob wir nicht versehentlich ein Einzelzimmer bekommen hatten. In einem 4-Sterne-Hotel erwarte ich auch keine Schimmelränder in der Dusche. Keine Parkplätze, nicht mal ein Bereich zum Anfahren und Ausladen […] von Gepäck. Stayed here for Hogmanay 2011 - close enough to the action but without all the noise from Princes St. (half block away). Rose street super close too. Very cute hotel - loved the old charm of the building!!! Would definitely stay there again. Loved my time in Edinburgh - and the hotel was part of the enjoyment!

Staff are excellent - helpful and very polite, however cleanliness and general maintenance of the hotel needs attention.

Enjoyed a two night break at Hudson Hotel. Location good, staff were excellent. Room suffered a bit from traffic noise but was acceptable due to central location of Hotel. Continental breakfast was not good value for money as no extra's, such as fruit, pastries , etc were avaiable.

This hotel is in need of a significant upgrade/facelift The minimal staff seemed demoralized! No staff to help with our bags Our room was stuffy - there were leaks from the bathroom The floor creaked The furniture was broken - the chair's lining was falling out from under the chair

The hotel is located close the caslte, Princess Park, shopping district and various restaurants, incl. Hard Rock. The room is big enough for two people with a decent bathroom. The restaurant/bar downstairs is very popular and some of noise does reach the first floor of the hotel.

My son and I stayed in the Hudson for a long wekend recently. The rooms are a bit spartan but perfectly comfortable with all mod cons - robe, etc. The TV stations are just the basic six - warning - and there is no radio provided. However, the free wi-fi is excellent with no fussy registration required - it's just there - so radio is not really a problem […] for anyone with internet access. There is also a speaker for the TV in the bathroom -some five stars don't have that. Breakfasts (our only meal there ) were excellent, . The staff were very courteous and helpful. Situated just off Prince's Street, the Hudson is a great base for an Edinburgh weekend. Mehr

The main entrance of this hotel was a little difficult to find but once inside it was found to be very modern and comfortable. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They provided us with tourist information and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.

Really nice well thought out comfortable rooms, perfect location for exploring the city both old town and new town as well as shopping and restaurants all within walking distance. Good service and the hotel restaurant gives great deals to its customers. The only drawback was the outlets in my rook were a bit inconvenient but nothing and extention cord […] couldn't fix. Mehr

Loved this hotel from beginning to end. Reception staff was so friendly and very knowledgable. Free newspaper to room every morning. Room was extremely clean and well kept... Couldn't figure out how to turn on mini bar, but I wasn't going to utilize it anyway. I'm sure the staff would have helped asap. Bar in the hotel was so convenient... U can bring […] drinks up to your room. Free wifi Internet. Bathroom impeccably clean. I had a street view, however it looked like most rooms faced the alley way. Only disappointment was the bed sheets as they were not fitted sheets so I woke up directly on the mattress every morning. Extra sheets and blankets were provided with no hesitation from staff. The location was everything. Never took a bus anywhere... It was all steps from the hotel!!!! Mehr

Located just off Princes Street, the city centre is a very short walk away. The hotel staff were exceptional and the rooms very clean and comfortable. A good Hotels.com rate made this a very affordable hotel. Criticisms were that the room was too hot and there was no air conditioning (the window had to be left open and a fan was provided which was ample); […] the street was very noisy which with an open window was tiresome; the breakfast proportions (other than the full Scottish) were measly and overpriced; and the single lift was tiny so if a group of more than 3 are staying some may have to traverse the 4 flights of stairs. I would stay again simply due to price,location and the friendly staff, but I would go for room-only and breakfast elsewhere. Mehr

The Hudson's best quality is its location on Charlotte Square at the western end of Princes Street Gardens. The major tourist destinations are all within walking distance, and the Express Bus to/from the airport stops one block away. I was very pleased with my atya at the Hudson Hotel. The service I received was excellent, the room was comfortable and clean, and the location was amazing. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and I'll definitely stay there again if I'm ever in need of a hotel in Edinburgh!

I chose this hotel for it's location. The location is great but the hotel is just OK. The rooms are dark and we have had difficulty in having them get the the room clean. This was finally taken care of by front desk manager, Mike. He was so apologetic and embarrassed at our polite he offered us an upgraded room, but by then it was our last night we […] declined, he then insisted we have a breakfast on him, which we accepted. At checkout we told Mike that we had two breakfasts, he said they are on us for your inconvenience. If you are looking for Kleenex, bring your own. If you are looking for Sky news it is not available in the room. There are five stations, two BBC and others that are not worth watching. If you need a shower cap, bring your own or pay 50 pence ($1.35USD) at the front desk. We ware in 201 over the street and pub. Noise from both will keep you awake until 3am. The staff at the Hotel Hudson was very helpful. The receptionist was helpful and made you feel like you were home. The room was very nice compared to some rooms in Europe. They have hardwood floors and a nice double bed. The restrooms were spacious as well. Although at the edge of New Town and West End. It is a nice area if you don't mind the walk to […] Old Town. It is also close to Rose Street where a lot of the restaurants are. Mehr

The receptionist when we first entered the hotel was lovely. Our room was fantastic, very modern and very comfortable. All hotel staff greeted us with a smile as we entered and left the hotel throughout the evening. Wow - the staff here are amazing. They are so friendly and fall over backwards to help. The hotel itself did what it said on the tin and we would definitely return here and recommend it to others. The location was great and we could walk everywhere.

There is a fresh and youthful feel to this slick boutique hotel. The frills, and there are frills, are plush but not pretentious - we loved the elegant sheets, cushy bath towels, comfy robes, and absolutely glorious toiletries. Also, you'll find a nice selection of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate in the room - and a well stocked mini bar (here called […] an "honesty bar") with full bottles of wine and prosecco along with sodas and snacks. We enjoyed the downstairs bar too which was lively and cheerful - and our room was peacefully quiet. A well groomed and friendly young staff, its walking distance to the major sights in Edinburgh and dependable wireless were other factors that added to our perfect stay. Highly Recommended! Mehr

I was very pleasantly surprised by Hudson Hotel. It's at very convenient location so I expected a shabby place for the price I paid, but it was totally worth it. Very nice room, extremely clean, nicely designed and furnished, friendly stuff, internet access...I highly recommend it.

Lovely hotel... and staff. The reception ladies could not have been nicer... only negative was parking... and it was a bit difficult to unload luggage as it is on a busy street and our driving was not the best.

Really nice boutique hotel furnished well with a bar adjoining in the centre of Edinburgh. Would definately stay again.

The Hudson was a gem of a place, very trendy and very stylish. It was excellent value and I would definitely go back.

Lovely hotel, I would definately stay again. Only complaint is that the bathroom door did not close properly and the heating in the foyer makes it unbearable to stay in. Brilliant location, brilliant staff and brilliant hotel.

We didn't arrive until after 10pm and couldn't get through to the hotel to notify them. When we arrived I advised that the phone wasn't working and the receptionist shrugged his shoulders. The phones in the rooms weren't working either so we couldn't order room service. There is a nightclub in the hotel and we could hear the music very clearly in our […] rooms until 3am. On the positive side the location was great and the pub was good. Don't stay here is you want a quiet weekend. Mehr

Fin beliggenhed, pæne fine værelser. Morgenmaden i restauranten ok. Hotellets personale er flinke, men har ikke altid evnerne til at hjælpe så godt som man kunne ønske.

Totalt sett var vi fornøyd med hotellet. Trafikkstøy må en regne med i en bykjerne. Betjningen kunne hatt bedre kunnskap om aktuelle parkeringsplasser. Det som trekker ned totalkarakteren for vårt vedkommende, er de usedvanlig vonde madrassene. Det var som å ligge på et tregulv.

The hotel has a nightclub downstairs. When the nightclub is open, there is a lot of noise. You can not sleep!

Det beste med dette hotellet var beliggenheten. Midt i prikk ! Hotellet i seg selv, sto absolutt til forventningene. Bra seng, bra bad, vennlige ansatte. Rommet var litt mørkt, og hadde litt lite lys, men det var ikke noe stort problem. Kjekt med trådløst internett. En del trafikkstøy, men det funket med ørepropper.

Ligger dejlig centralt med kort afstand til alt der skal opleves i Edinburg. Der er dog lidt støj i weekenderne som kan holde en vågen.

Great location at the West and very stylish room. However the bed wasn't very comfortable and woke up early from traffic noise. Aircondition would have been nice also, but had a great time in Edinburgh anyway!

Mycket trevlig personal, fina rum, men ta gärna med din sköna huvudkudde hemifrån och lägg extratäcket som bäddmadrass under lakanet, så kan du sova gott också! Läslamporna vid sängarna i vårt rum var dock usla. Man hade behövt unga friska ögon för att kunna läsa i sängen. Bortsett från det, var det ett perfekt hotell.

Hotelli on sekä ulkoa että sisältä todella hieno. Hotelli on poikkikadulla todella lähellä esim. Princess streetiä ja aivan sen lähelle pääsee kätevästi esimerkiksi lentokenttäbussilla. Henkilökunta on todella ystävällinen ja auttaa monissa asioissa, respasta saa esimerkiksi adaptereita yms. tarvikkeita, joita ei välttämättä tajua ottaa mukaan matkalle. […] Huone oli ensiluokkaisen siisti ja tyylikkäästi sisustettu. Aamupalaa/ravintolaa emme kokeilleet. Aulassa oli yleinen tietokone, jota sai käyttää rajattomasti. Netti toimi hyvin. Suosittelen hotellia kenelle tahansa Edinburgiin matkustavalle! The hotel looks great inside and out. It's very near Princes street so the location is good. It's easy to get to hotel from airport by airport bus, the bus stop is very close by. The staff was hery friendly and helpful. You'll get things like adapters from the reception so that's very handy. The room was very clean and decorated with style. We didn't try the breakfast or restaurant. There's also a computer in the lobby for customers to use and the internet works well. All in all a great hotel, I'll recommend this to anyone who's going to Edinburgh! Mehr
