als Hotel würde ich es nicht bezeichnen, es gibt 12 Zimmer, Frühstück ist auf einem Tisch neben der Rezeption aufgebaut, man nimmt es sich dann mit raus auf die Poolterasse und es wird gerne gesehen, wenn man sein Geschirr dann auch wieder in die Küche zurückbringt. Im Besitz der Eigentümer sind noch 2 nahegelegene Restaurants wovon man sich über die […] Poolbar Mittags oder auch abends etwas zu essen bestellen kann. Die Zimmer sind einfach, TV gibt es nicht, aber ein Föhn liegt im Schrank. Angenehm ist der im Preis schon enthaltene Zimmersafe. Das Bad ist klein und die Dusche noch kleiner, der Duschvorhang klebt einem ständig am Körper und das Bad wird regelmässig überschwemmt, aber immerhin in der Bodenmitte findet sich ein Abfluss. Warmes Wasser gibt es laut schriftlichem Hinweis nur von 10-22Uhr (Solaranlage), Pech für diejenigen, die morgens gerne früh duschen um dann zu Unternehmungen aufzubrechen. Für den Preis kann man auch in ein richtiges Hotel gehen, wo das Bad vielleicht etwas größer ist, man morgens schon warmes Wasser hat und auch sonst etwas mehr Komfort gibt. Mehr

Das Boat House in Kamari auf Santorini ist ein freundlichr Familienbetrieb. Das Hotel liegt am Ende der Strandpromenade direkt am Meer und verfügt über einen Pool mit günstiger Poolbar und eine nette Sonnenterasse mit Meersicht. Ganz nett fanden wir die kleine private Terasse vor unserem Zimmer auf der wir das leckere Frühstück genossen. Zwei kleine […] Fehler hat das Hotel. Erstens liegt Kamari in der Anflugschneise des Flughafens weshalb man selten mal einen Flieger landen hört. Zum zweiten richt es im Bad etwas aus dem Abfluss. Über diese zwei Punkte haben wir jedoch gerne hinweg gesehen und unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Mehr

We enjoyed our stay at the Boathouse, because we were well looked after and the accommodation was just what we needed. The room had a fridge, for keeping the tonic cold, a bathroom with a shower that had a reasonable amount of water pressure (something that seems unusual in Santorini), plenty of wardrobe space and an adequate balcony for relaxing. The […] room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfasts were great, with plenty of fruit, yoghurt, fresh meat and cheese, not to mention bread. Served outside on the patio, watching the sun rise over the sea was a great start to the day. It was a great location, far enough out of the centre to be quiet at night, but easy to walk to bars and restaurants. The beach was a twenty step walk from the outside of the hotel. The only tiny downside were the aeroplanes flying overhead, which we knew about before we booked, and soon learnt to treat as white noise. We hired a car, and although it was not possible to park the car outside the hotel, there was a public car park within east distance. The hosts were extremely helpful, and arranged to take us to the port at the end of our stay. Mehr

Upon arriving at the hotel, the location was great, right across the boardwalk from the beach. Upon entering our room, the stench from the bathroom made us have to request another room. The new room was also ocean view, less the smell - initially. The beds were old and stiff, and the room was tight. AC threw off a bad smell. No wifi in room, so we had […] to spend much time looking at destinations and emailing down by their main office. I had to work while on vacation, so spent much time down there. A couple days on, apparently the wind shifted, as a crazy horrible smell came from our bathroom again, from the sewer pipes. the owner said that was normal, and nothing we could do about it. so we had to bare the next 2 days in an awful smelling room. Breakfast was typical, but i was very jealous of the next hotel over with a much nicer spread. The bathroom was kind of gross, as the whole thing got soaked when taking a shower, which made it feel even worse. Another horrible point is we were there for 4 days, and they never changed our sheets! The only soap in the room for shampoo, body, or anything, was a little pump soap on the sink. Overall, this is an inexpensive place for the budget traveler, but don't expect anything too nice and high quality here, beyond how nice the workers were. The owner was a super nice guy. Mehr

Whilst the location is good the hotel is a little tired looking. The breakfast is quite good but a week of bacon and chipolotas leaves one yearning for beans on toast.

Best vacation ever!!! On the best part of Kamari Beach, restaurants everywhere...location, location, location!!!! Couldn't have chosen a better pleace! The staff was the owner and his wife and his daughters best friend Kaley(think spelledi it right_)...owner picked us up from airport and we were greeted very nicely Kaley. I was carrying my 20 month […] old so she helped my husband with the luggage! Amazing staff, breakfast was delicious and they treated my daughter like a princess, called her by her name...they'd give her fruits and pieces of cake throughout the day and made her little toys...she loved it...very helpful when deciding where to go in Santorini...feels like you're right at home...No TV which is great because there's so much to do on the Island!! At night we hung out by the bar with the owners and other guests and kids in the hotel...everyone was sooo nice on the island but you have to stay here because service was exceptional...this trip was beyond our expectations!!! On the outside this hotel looks perfect and when we first entered our room, it seemed perfect too. We were given the family room with a sea view which was amazing. Also, the owners and staff were very polite and accomodating and they picked us up from the port and drove us there without any charge. The rides were very much appreciated and were a big […] plus to staying here. The location is very good, right across from the beach and the pool is very clean and really nice ot enjoy. The bed was comfortable but there are no T.V.'s in the rooms. Unfortunately, we had very uncomfortable cold showers every morning because their water system is heated by solar power. So, the hotel has abundant hot water bewteen 10am and 6pm when it is 30 degrees outside - because that's when you want hot water. I told Diane about the water issue and she did nothing to address it nor did she apologize for it. We've never stayed in a hotel that could not deliver hot water in the morning, not in 2012 anyway, perhaps a hostel though. Further, we like having air coniditioning but it is placed at head level beside the bed which made us freeze so we had to move the furniture around so we could sleep. We stayed here for 3 nights but unfortunately we would pick another place to stay if we stayed in Santorini again - one that could provide the basics like hot water. There are many many hotels to choose from in Santorini that provide the same ammenities as the Boathouse. Mehr

This was our first stay at the Boathouse and we were thrilled with the beach location. The small town was comfortable for walking about at anytime day or night. Our room was very clean and breakfast was solidly good, the pool clean and enjoyable. The Boathouse Studios have everything. Quiet but great location, 2 mins walk to Kamari seafront. Clean, friendly staff. Maria the owner seemed to be around 24/7 and nothing is too much for her. We went with a small baby and the room door was literally 1metre from poolside so our baby could nap in the cool air con room whilst we enjoyed the sun and pool. […] Room 3 is excellent for those with babies or small kids that take daytime naps. Nothing was too much for them. A brand new travel cot was waiting as requested on arrival, as was a high chair. Over the week cute baby things like a pink cushion and a pink rug appeared in our room. Although the fine sand is mostly on the complete opposite end of the strip, it's nice to stay on this quieter end of the beach road, almost like having private shorefront. Small but nice pool. Buffet breakfast is pretty good. Rooms rather out-dated and dimly-lit, but are great for family vacations, with several beds to a room and large closets. My Girlfriend and I were attending a wedding on Santorini and so we were looking into accommodation on the island when we stumbled across the Boat House. Some of the other wedding guests had booked through a travel agent but were also staying near by. We decided to chance going it alone. When we arrived we saw that the hotel is beautifully located […] right at the beach front and we were met by the owners as we walked into the property. They informed us that we had been given a free upgrade and now had a larger room that had a balcony looking right onto the beach. The room was very clean and was serviced every day. The breakfast was quite comprehensive for a continental style, but does get a little boring after a week. The best part of this hotel is the friendly staff and owners. They were probably the most friendly people in that position I have ever come across. The owners are full of local info and are ready to assist you when planning an excursion. They have links to car/quad rental and even drove us back to the Airport. I really enjoyed my stay at the boat house and would return there happily. Siema Basia! Mehr

Great location right on the beach front and along a promenade of the beach itself. We went in early October and everything was already closed down in Kamari so that was the only thing that made the experience a bit lackluster. The hotel itself was clean and adorable. The view was great and the continental breakfast, while it wasn't what I'd seen at […] other places, it was still satisfactory. Overall I would recommend this hotel to others. I had the most amazing stay at the Boathouse! We were a large group travelling for a wedding and all of us had a excellent time. The staff were super helpful and friendly. The food was amazing as well. I don't have a single complaint about the Boathouse. There are guests who we met who go to this hotel every year and I can understand why. We stayed for 8 nights at the boathouse, the hotel has a real charm about it. The staff are very friendly and it is very laid back, just what you needy to rest and relax. Its about about a 15 minute drive to Fira and Oia, but believe me it is worth the drive as it was always good to get back to the Kamira beach and the Boat house. The only negatives […] was no shampoo was supplied, just a pump action soap container, not flash and the bathroom area is certainly not 3 stars. But taken that out of the equation this is just a great place to be...and we are still talking about the stay in the boathouse when we returned from being 6 weeks away in Greece....go to the Dolphin cafe and see Billy Brown play live...we are in our mid 50's...dancing etc lots of fun and good food and wine! Amazing hotel, great location, great facility, great staff, great everything! Dont even consider anything else! We were staying in the suites so we had an amazing pool that was alot more private than all the other hotels on the street. Definitly take one of the tours to the volcano, hot springs, thirassa, and oia sunset it is worth every penny (we took […] an afternoon trip and it was awesome).We came by ferry from athens and that was our worst decision, we are a family of four so it turned out very expensive even going with the slow ferry in the cheapest area! I recommend to take a flight straight from the city you are, much easier, faster, and if you are luckey cheaper! The only thing is the hotel is near the airport so some airplanes come and go making some noise but it doesnt really bother you, and there is no flights at night (that we could hear). Great stay wouldnt even think of going anywere else if we came back to Santorini, worth every penny! Mehr

This hotel is in a great location gorgeous sunrises. We loved the breakfast every morning, and the staff and owner were fantastic. The nearby resturants and taverns are a little loud at night but not so loud you can't fall asleep. The pool is a good size and very clean, there were not many chairs by the pool, but thankfully we didn't have any trouble […] finding a spot each day. The hotel is run on a solar water system, so take your shower in the afternoon and the water is great (morning showers are not warm). The showers are just a free standing shower curtain with a drain, but this is common in European hotels (don't put your clean clothes on the floor because they will get wet). The rooms on the second floor with a view are fantastic. The hotel has Air conditioning, which was great for siestas, and jet leg. Mehr

I would definitely recommend staying at The Boathouse. The staff and the room were both amazing. The owner, Maria, was very friendly and walked around introducing herself to everyone. The area of Kamari Beach was the best place to stay on the entire island. I will definitely be returning.

Spiros & staff extremely helpful. Always willing to do anything for you. Basic accommodation but cleaned & towels changed everyday. Spiros the owner picked us up from airport. Also took us to airport on departure, very nice guy. Would not accept payment. Right on beachfront with pool, beds and complimentary towels. Would return again.

We were pleased with the Boathouse Hotel. The location was good right across from the beach and away from the busiest part of the waterfront. Walkable to restaurants and bus stop and internet cafe. The owners were kind and welcoming. We were treated as if we were the first guests they'd ever had. They were genuinely interested in making our stay wonderful. I never once felt that we were one in an ,"assembly line of tourists' who arrive there, although they do stay booked. The breakfast buffet was full of variety. Det mesta var toppen. Läget, lägenheten och städningen var jättebra. Det enda som inte fungerade alls var att de skulle hämta oss på flygplatsen, men trots flera mail och telefonsamtal så var de ändå inte där. Men efter ytterligare 2 telefonsamtal till dem när vi landat, så kom de.

Il Boat House è un hotel davvero molto grazioso, con una bella piscina e situato in un'ottima posizione, le camere vengono pulite tutti i giorni e sono dotate di tutti i comfort: aria condizionata e frigorifero peccato solo per il bagno che era un po' trascurato. Etter å ha lest så mye positivt skjønner jeg ingen ting! Punkt 1: du kan like godt ta med lakenet ut på rullebanen å sove. Punkt 2: de ansatte var sure og aldri til stedet, kom å skulle sjekke inn og ingen der. Punkt 3: aircondotion funket ikke! Punkt 4|: rommene var veldig gammeldagse og slitene. Veldig lytt. The hotel is well based on the main street of Kamari and it's not far from the main places of interest. We had gorgeous breakfast time enjoing greek yogurt and coffee close to the swimming pool with a beautiful beach and sea view. All the staff was polite and kind.
