Wir waren im EG des zweistöckigen Motels untergebracht. Leider führt die (typisch amerikanische) Billig-Bauweise des Gebäudes dazu dass wir jeden Schritt unseres Zimmernachbarn im 1. OG hören könnten - in unserem Fall ein Ärgernis, weil das Zimmer von Senioren belegt war , die die ganze Nacht irgendwie nicht schlafen konnten... Fazit: lieber die netten Cottages der Anlage buchen!

"Top Hotel"
Populäres Hotel. Sehr gute Lage und guter Service. Während unseres Aufenthalts war eine Baustelle an der Zufahrtsstrasse, was aber nicht störend war. Schöne, saubere Zimmer mit sher großem Bad.
"Ferien im Resort pink Shell"
Das Pink Shell ist jederzeit zu empfehlen.Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt und würden jederzeit wieder dort buchen. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Suite mit Balkon und Sicht auf den Golf und Pool. Die Einrichtung war gemütlich, es gab eine Flachbildfernseher im Wohnzimmer und einen Fernseher im Schlafzimmer. Die Küche war voll ausgestattet( Kühlschrank, […] Herd, Spülmaschine), man hätte kochen können. Waschmaschine undTrockner waren in der Wand eingebaut und das Bad war auch sehr geräumig mit Wanne und Dusche und sep. WC. Sehr schön war auch der Pool und die Anlage, und der Golf von Mexiko war direkt vor der Tür. Liegestühle,. Handtücher alles war vorhanden. Das Frühstück war auch sehr reichlich und man konnten auch Mittagessen und zu Abend. Portionsmäßig sehr zu empfehlen. Alles im allen ein gelungener Aufenthalt. "Gutes Hotel, gute Lage"
Wir waren im September in Fort Myers Beach und hatten somit die perfekte Reisezeit erwischt, keine Leute im Hotel wegen der Nebensaison. Wenn Hauptsaison ist sollte man bedenken dass es ein Familienhotel ist, auch entsprechend ausgebaut, allerdings hat jeder der drei Hotelkomplexe seinen eigenen Pool und Strandzugang. Die Zimmer sind gut eingerichtet […] und man hat einen Balkon mit Meerblick. In Summe ein sehr zu empfehlendes Hotel. Wenn man mit Frühstück gebucht hat bekommt man echt viel geboten für amerikanische Verhältnisse, frisch geschnittenes Obst, gute Auswahl an Muffins und Toast, Beagels, Joghurts und frisch zubereiteten Omletts. Man kann es sich also wirklich gut gehen lassen in dem Hotel. Die Lage ist auch wirklich gut, still gelegen am Ende/ Anfang (wie man es sieht) von FM Beach und man hat seine Ruhe. Man erreicht die gängigsten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Malls und Outlet innerhalb von maximal 30min und nach einem kleine Spaziergang ist man auch schnell am Pier und dem abendlichen Programmhöhepunken von FM Beach. Würden auf jeden Fall dort wieder Urlaub machen. Beim Einchecken bekommt man auch noch einen Gutschein für die Bar am Pool;) Mehr
"Strand, Komfort"
Leider wird der Strand vor dem Hotel gerade saniert und somit stehen grosse Baumaschinen am Strand. Die Two-Bedroom Suite war riesig und komplett eingerichtet (inkl. WM/TU), hatte aber keinen Charme.

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Sandstrand und hat auch ruhige Pool-Bereiche.

"Das Meer auf beiden Seiten."
Das war über alles gesehen eine gute Hotelwahl. Vorne und hinten Meer, sauberer, breiter und weitläufiger Sandstrand. Bis zum "Dorfkern", wo's verschiedene Geschäfte gibt, sind's rund 1,2 km. Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr reichhaltig und gut. Angestellte sind freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmermädchen machten allerdings einen eher traurigen Eindruck […] und waren nicht gesprächig. Nichts desto Trotz war ihre Arbeit einwandfrei. Im Sanibal View Gebäude weisen die Möbel deutliche Gebrauchsspuren auf. Im Januar sollen die Zimmer generalüberholt werden. Im November war das Meer eher kalt zum Schwimmen. Die 3 Pools waren geheizt, allerdings nicht sehr gross. Mehr

"Pink Shell Resort; a wonderful beach and location"
The resort location is perfect; just a short 15 minute walk to restaurants and shopping action. The beach location is a quiet, less traveled one, which is wonderful. The sand and water is majestic. Hotel food is good, but the food service is very slow. Our unit had several maintenace issues (three non functioning appliances), but efforts were made to […] make repairs. Our first stay at the Pink Shell Resort exceeded our expectations in every respect. Highly recommend it for those who like great beach time and activities as well as poolside activities and refreshments.
"Awesome beachfront property"
Our stay was a girls' vacation. The pool area is quite spacious and clean with plenty of lounge chairs. The rooms also are spacious and immaculate. Breakfast buffet was delicious. The beach is wide with soft white sand. Excellent nearby restaurants. A perfect vacation resort.
Hotel provides activities for all ages. enjoyed watching the dolphins from the balcony

"The Pink Shell in Fort Myers Beach, FL"
We were extremely satisfied with our accommodations at this hotel. The view of the beach was beautiful. Room was very clean with plenty of towels and kitchen items. We would definitely stay here again, if we return to that area.

"Pink Shell Resort"
My family and I ahd an excellent stay. The location was perfect for our needs. We were five children and three adults, and our two bedroom suite held us all comfortably. Staff was polite and helpful. We felt very safe there.

This hotel offers a pool for kids and a separate one for adults. Very nice and peaceful at adult pool. Rooms could use some updating. Veneer peeling off the cabinets but overall very nice.

"Pink Shell-Fort Meyers-Awsome Experience!!"
When we book our stay we were very disappointed in the cost of the rooms but there was not many other choices available as it was spring break weekend. We were ELATED to see our room, the beach, the resorts was beautiful and we wished we were going to be staying longer as it went way too fast. The Pink Shell is a wonderful resort! Anything I asked for was supplied happily. The only things I would like to see improved would be to open the bar Sanibel side of the resort. Nothing was available to us (pool towels, bar, restaurant) unless we walked to the other end of the resort. I loved everything about it. Walk 1/2 mile down the pristine beach one way to boardwalk atmosphere. Go the other way to untouched, undeveloped, beautiful beach. 3 pools, 2 very quiet, one lots of fun. Room/view was perfect & food at breakfast buffet was great! Good place for women alone. Very safe and relaxing. The only downside is an expensive ($50) […] cab ride from the airport. Oh, nice spa. I will go back! Mehr

"Nice Resort"
The resort was very nice, especially the main pool area. The hotel staff was friendly and the food was good. The rooms were comfortable with a very nice screened in private balcany overlooking the gulf. The only thing that could have been better in the room was the bathroom, it could have used some updating. Would stay again.

The Pink Shell was one of the most amazing resorts I have been to. The staff was extremely friendly, the rooms were spacious and comfy, the beach was fantastic and the surrounding town was adorable and everyone was nice. Best place for the money. The staff is superb and the Resort was wonderful. The only negative was the road was under construction but they are nearing the end of it. My wife's favorite hotel, we go back at least once a year and are already planning for next year Hotel, in addition to being immaculate, friendly and service oriented, is children friendly and close to a wide variety of restaurants. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The Pink Shell is a great place to stay, but like any other place it also has its goods and bads. The breakfast buffet is really good! The kids loved the pools, they were zero entry and were great for little kids to play in. The one down fall to this resort is that there are too many weddings there. It would be great if the wedding receptions were […] in a private indoor room somewhere, but they have the receptions outside on the main pool deck...or they close the small pool for the entire day and have receptions there. You can't enjoy a quiet evening on your patio because the music is blasting from the receptions which is outside right below all of the rooms. Sometimes they close the small pool for birthday parties too. I don't think its fair for the rest of the paying guests that the small pool is closed for the entire day. While we stayed there, the small pool was closed 2 different days...1 for a wedding reception, and another day for a 1st birthday party. They have a huge restaurant where the breakfasts are served...the receptions should be held there, so the rest of the paying guests staying at the resort can enjoy themselves. Mehr
"Great Value for Money"
My partner and I stayed at this hotel in Oct 2010 for 3 nights. It was excellent value for what we paid, I wish we had stayed longer. Our suite was in the main building and it was much bigger and plusher than I really expected. The kitchen had everything you would have in your own home and the washer/dryer was a real bonus. The living room was really […] comfy and the large flat screen tv on the wall was great. The seperate bedroom and the bathroom were also very spacious and well equipped, the walk in shower was particulary big and could fit three people easily! Overall, the hotel was excellent and particulary good for families with kids as the hotel has lots of activities laid on for them. Saying that, I also think its perfect for couples as well, we certainly had a great time around the pool area and the beach. Bongo's bar was fab and the staff were really friendly. Mehr

Excellent in every way! Room was perfect with an amazing Gulf coast view. Service and staff were friendly and very accomodating. We opted to do the Sunset dinner on the beach and could not have been more please. Leo was a fanatastic server and the food was perfect as well as the sunset! I would recommend this hotel/resort to everyone!

Overall, this is a very nice resort, especially for the price offered at Hotels.com. This is a great, quiet location, but still in walking distance of the main action. The staff was super friendly and the room was clean and well equiped. Just a couple of minor issues..all of the really small porches/patios are screened-great for misquitos not so great […] for night time views of the gulf. this is the best hotel on the beach- 2 pools good beach front that is quiet- only issue is the road out front is being worked on / torn up so no sidewalks to walk downtown and local trolley is a scary thing to ride esp if your a single female lots of crazy drunks-i took taxis after that exp, $5 each way to downtown-room was good- in the old part of […] the hotel but still nice- had a kitchenette and the screen porch was fantastic at night. def recommend this hotel if your going to frt myers beach- staff was very friendly and helpful, never rude. The location and neighborhood would have been fine, but they were doing alot of construction on the street it is on. The ocean is not as clear as it is in Clearwater/St. Pete area, I was told that is because of all the rivers that flow into that area of the ocean. Overall was a great resort for both children and adults.

"Great Time Right On The Beach"
Spent a 4 day weekend at the Pink Shell and it was just a great experience. The hotel was right on the beach, about a 50 foot walk from each of the two large pools. Great room -- a 1 bedroom overlooking the pool and the gulf. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurants and bar were very good and reasonably priced.
