We have enjoyed staying at Super 8 Motel-Johnstown. It is newer, clean, and everyone is pleasant. But, this trip was as comfortable. There was a bed support sticking out from under the bed, and we kept hitting our ankles. It is easy to miss, and my ankle is still buised, was swollen. I told the disk employee, and she just said they will have to look […] at it. Also, the frig would not stay cold. It is still a very nice place to stay, and afordable. Everything about this hotel is very good, the staff is very friendly and helpful

This hotel is too far out of the way. It is not the kind of place you find by accident; you have to go there on purpose. However, the hotel staff was polite. The major issue were other resident continually slamming room doors late night.

Were staying there for a NY eve event at Solomon Run fire hall (a mere 1 minute drive) away. Was nice to have some place so close to stay both before and after that event. Staff was friendly. Room did not smell of mildew like some hotels that go for similar rates. And coffee/OJ bar was just fine for breakfast.

other than not vacuuming the edges of the walls, the room was great. Did however smell cigarette smoke in the non-smoking hallway. Our room was okay though.

Not much right around the place but other than that it was a nice stay. Bathroom was nice and clean. Floor needed to be vacuumed, there was some bit of thread or something on the carpet but other than that the whole place was clean and the people quite nice.

Good deal for your money! It's also great that a refrigerator comes with your room!

Checked in quickly, nice staff. Musty room but otherwise clean... Hallways smelled Poorly. A/c system smelled stale. Shower drain was slow. Old equipment and furniture. 3/5

This was one of those last minute stays and I found that the place was pretty decent for the price. It was pretty cheap so I was expecting a dump but was pleasantly surprised by the entire facility. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. However, the bed was a little lumpy so it was difficult to get to sleep, but once I found a spot I didn't […] move and slept pretty well. Mehr

We were not very pleased with this hotel at all. The room was dirty the beds were very uncomfortable, pillows very thin or lumpy. The towels and washcloths were stained nd dirty..Kinda looked like they were never washed. We didn't ever bother checking out the breakfast that was offered considering what everything else had been like. I was pleasantly surprised with the room I stayed one night in. It was clean, the bed was comfortable and I was happy with the flat screen tv with all of the cable channels. I appreciated the microwave and refrigerator as many expensive hotels I notices do not offer these without a special request or additional fee. The hotel itself is a bit run down […] inside, but that is to be expected for the great price. At least my room was clean and comfy! I will definitely stay here again and would recommend. Mehr

I paid for 2 nights and left after 1. They would not clean the room after first night, they would only give us towels. Room was not clean.......

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was especially helpful - accessed Mapquest directions to a MD town for us. Only drawback is trying to find something to eat at 11 PM. Overall, great service.

No problems! Stayed two nights and were satisfied with the service & amenities. Nothing luxurious here, but it'll do fine if you just want somewhere to sleep and shower. Would stay here again.

Convienent to shopping and food. Bed not so comfortable, but most hotel/motel bed are not. Overall, good deal for the money.

I realized that I wasn't staying at the four seasons or anything like that, but the management douse a wonderful job at making you feel welcom and they had a nice continental breakfast. Good rate for a good night!

Upon arrival I noticed that this hotel is pet friendly. That immediately was a turn off to this hotel as my wife and son are severely allergic to animals. After reviewing the hotels.com website I noticed that this was not noted in their remarks about the hotel. After check in, we were placed in a room that smelled so bad of animals that it immediately […] set my wife and son into an allergy attack. We had to change rooms because of it. The staff accomodated our request but the 2nd room we were placed in still had the smell of animals but was not nearly as bad. We stayed in that room. The linens were very old and in need of an upgrade. Upon turning down the sheets we found animal hair in the blankets and on the sheets. The beds were very lumpy and uncomfortable, pillows were flat. while they could use an investment in softer linens and toiletries I would definitely stay there again, its not the most convenient location, but it is easy to find being right off the highway, and the staff was very friendly and helpful, including being kind enough to give me directions, if you're looking for something moderately priced without having […] to slum it, this is a no brainer, but you will notice the price difference in the decor and the roughness of everything (except the sheets, thankfully) Mehr

Easy to get to, easy to get to surrounding attractions.

The Good: Bathroom was clean and may have been redone. It had a clean fridge and microwave. Staff was polite. The Bad: The motel is in need of refurbishing. The carpeting in the common areas should be replaced or at least cleaned. The room chair was worn out and needed to be replaced. The mattress was lumpy. Everything came across as being cheap. Blanket […] and sheets had holes. Some appeared to be burn holes from cigarettes. Don't know when the bedspread was cleaned. Towels were very thin. I wouldn't stay here again if it was free. Mehr
