Das Motel ist schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen, eine Renovierung der Zimmer wäre wirklich angebracht. Aber die Zimmer waren sauber und die Betten waren okay. Das Frühstück war im Preis inbegriffen und war für amerikanische Verhältnisse ausreichend und abwechslungsreich. Leider wurde das Frühstück am Indoorpool serviert, einen anderen Raum bei schlechtem […] Wetter gab es dafür wohl nicht. Man saß also bei Chlorgeruch und saunaartigen Temperaturen beim Frühstück. Wer nur eine preiswerte Übernachtung sucht, der ist hier richtig, wir haben das Motel als Ausgangspunkt für unsere Unternehmungen auf Cape Cod genutzt. Personal war sehr freundlich, in einigen umliegenden Restaurants gab es bei Vorlage des Zimmerschlüssels 20%. Mehr

The place needed a little sprucing up, some paint and vacuuming halls and stairways. Breakfast was boring,and poolside, but overall clean rooms, nice staff, close to everything.

This is a clean, easy access little hotel with a very friendly staff who waiting up until 11:30pm for us to get there. They try to crowd a bit too much furniture in the room but beside that it was fine. They have lovely flat screen tvs and refrigerators in the room. The breakfast is out by the indoor pool but you can bring it back to you room. There […] is still a tinge of cigarette smell from the day when smoking was allowed but only the very sensitive will pick up on it. Mehr

I like the staff, they were very friendly. Very helpful. This is my first time in the cape, with my friend. The hotel was nice. i love the Jacuzzi, it was very relaxing. breakfast was serve on time. The staff couldn’t have been kinder, we were there because of a death in the family and they went out of their way to make our stay the best it could be. It is a rarity today that you find that kind of hospitality. I would highly recommend this hotel and will surely tell everyone. Thank you from all of my family!

The manager was super nice and friendly! Not sure of his name, but he was great. I just took my kids for an overnight stay. It wasn't too bad. Great location. The pool and whirlpool were great. Kids enjoyed it. The continental breakfast was included with your stay and it was pretty good. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate were available all day and night.. […] The heat wasn't working in our room and 'we didn't discover it til after midnight and we froze. It could have been our mistake not knowing how to work it and I didn't call to let anyone know because it was the wee hours of the morning. I let the manager know in the morning so he could check it out for the next customer. He gave me a full refund for the night. Totally unexpected and not at all what I was looking for. They were very accomidating to our hockey tounament schedule and allowing a late checkout so taht my son could shower before going home after the tournament.

In town on business and just needed a clean room. My first stay at Hyannis Travel Inn. Room was fine -- bathroom clean, linens clean -- but the room wastecan wasn't emptied. Front desk attendent was excellent, as was the breakfast attendent. The door leading of my hotel room had a hole that had been patched.You could see out into the hallway through my door. Mattress was old and soft.Breakfast was served out by the indoor pool witch the room was very hot and the air was saturated with chlorine.The rugs in the common are were filthy. I was in Hyannis for several days for a conference a the convention center, which was located about a mile away. The hotel is aging but kept in good repair. The rooms on the upper floors have sliding doors that open to small balconies, which was very nice (when it wasn't raining). The bed was a bit soft for my taste, but by no means uncomfortable. There […] was a serious lack of easily accessible outlets. I wasn't able to sit at the desk with my laptop plugged in. My only real option was to sit on the end of bed so I could use the outlet near the bathroom and even then the cord barely made it. Also, the front desk is not staffed around the clock and when I wanted to check out just after 7am, I had to wait until about 7:30am until someone showed up. However, since ultimately all I needed to do was leave the keys on the front desk, I guess this really wasn't a problem, but it would have been nice to be told this when I checked in. Mehr

Staff was very nice and extremely helpful. Queen beds would have been nice than double. Halls had odor, but room very clean. Location was perfect for our needs.

Hotel is showing it's age as from the 1960's. The first room we were given was shabby overlooking a parking lot and the owner did agree to move us to a room overlooking the pool. The sheets were the poorest quality and would not stay in place no matter what effort I made. A group of teenagers moved in above us and the noise was awful until 11:00 PM […] when it did quiet down. For the bargain price maybe that is all you get, but paying more is probably worth it. Mehr

Best hotel in this price range that we found in New England this month. The room was clean and comfy with a balcony. There was a 'fridge, hair dryer but no coffee pot. The breakfast was far superior to the standard two star hotels. They had eggs, yogurt, all kinds of breads, pancakes, what more could you want? Folks were friendly and accomodating. Hotel could certainly use some updating but the beds are comfortable and the location great. It was a guys weekend away so the critics didn't necessarily make an appearance. For the price, the location, service and rooms were just fine.

The location of the hotel was good, close to the downtown where restaurants and shopping were readily available. Our main problem with the hotel was the doors and door facings were visibly dirty. Smudges and drips of dirt were clearly noticable on the exterior door to our room as well as the bathroom door. The door to our room was a hollow core door […] with a regular handle lock, as you would see on the inside of a house, no dead bolt, no extra lock nothing just a very light door. An older motel, but is clean! The staff are very pleasant and helpful. I only wished they had an elevator for getting our luggage to and from our room. The continental breakfast is good, but I wasn't too crazy about it being located with the indoor pool. It was a very warm and humid location.

the room was adequate and clean. the hall on the 3rd floor smelled moldy and musty, but once we closed the door to our room, we couldn't smell it. also, two of the 3 nights we were woken up by loud yelling and partying in the halls after midnight. after the first night we told the front desk.

I just needed an inexpensive place to stay the night prior to a triathlon in Hyannis, and this place fit the bill. I was really only there to sleep. However, walking by the indoor and outdoor pools, they looked nice. The room itself was clean, though I did spot a yucky looking stain on the underside of the coverlet, but I just folded it way back. Met a very friendly manager who checked us in and gave us loads of local info. Thanks. Just off hyannis main street and walking distance to the boats if going to nantucket or marthas vineyard. Clean and comfortable hotel.

The location was centrally located to Main Street, restaurants and shopping. KALMUS Beach was not friendly for swimmers. It had a lot of sea weed and the bacteria level was high not allowing us to be able to go into the water!!!!! The lower level room at the Hyannis Travel Inn was very damp and musty along with a few roaches we saw in the bathroom, […] yuck!!!!!! When making reservations, ask for a room on the second or third level of the Inn, might be a little dryer. Continental breakfast was served in the enclosed area of their swimming pool. It was hot and humid for a comfortable breakfast, however they did have boiled eggs, muffins, bagels, cereal and coffee. We had breakfast at the EGG AND i on main street in a very pleasant outside atmosphere. The staff at the hotel lobby were very nice, friendly and helpful with directions and questions. Mehr

Convenient to everything, esp. when you want to have sth to eat during late night. The hotel is clean, breakfast is more than bagel and coffee. It does need some updates and some utilities are not working. But it will definitely increase the price.

Hotel was very clean and there are signs that they have and are upgrading. New tiles in the bathroom, new carpet... Great location, walked over 1 block and there was all the shops/JFK museum/duck and bus tours/ and resturaunts. Melody tent is just 1 mile down the road. I would stay there again.

THE ROOM WAS OK, LARGE WITH 2 QUEEN BEDS, REFRIGERATOR, ETC. OUR ROOM WAS NOT MADE UP THE SECOND DAY WE WERE THERE, VERY LIMITED HOUSEKKEEPING STAFF. PARKING LOT WAS VERY DARK, NOT ENOUGH LIGHTS. THE DOORS TO THE BUILDINGS WERE NOT LOCKED. ANYONE COULD GET INTO THE BUILDING. HAD KEYS FOR THE ROOMS NO KEY CARDS. I WOULD ONLY STAY THERE AGAIN IF THERE […] WAS NO OTHER PLACE TO BOOK ON THE CAPE. This hotel was fine for us and was a good price. Bed was comfy and the room was clean except for some mold in the shower. Fridge was good and AC worked fine. They were in the process of repainting etc when we were there. It was good for a last minute reservation for a quick overnight stay. Although our stay was not completely horrible, I would not choose to go back or recommend it to others. The most annoying thing was that breakfast doesn't open until 7:30 and not a minute before and you end up having everyone lining up to go inside. Then because the food is not spread out (in the pool area) everyone is fighting for the same area. Pool […] water looked dirty and had debris in it. We booked here for two nights mid June and left after the first night. No fault of the hotel I suppose but there was a group of women staying and they disrupted our first night's sleep by talking very loudly in the corridors and banging on the doors of our room during the night.(the doors being only made of plywood!!!). We phoned during the night to […] complain and the 'emergency' number was not available so had to wait until the following morning to lodge our complaint. This said, the receptionist was most apologetic and was only too happy to reimburse our night's stay and also offered two more nights free. We did not accept this offer as we expected maybe the same was going to happen again! We were not prepared to take the risk. Hyannis itself was nothing really to write home about although the Harbour area was quite scenic. The town didn't really offer much but would have maybe if the weather had been good ( we had rain!!). My boyfriend and I stayed here, because it was in walking distance to the Cape Cod Melody Tent where we were seeing a concert. This hotel is in a great location. We walked to lunch, dinner, and shopping. The only downside was the thin walls. There must have been a zoo of children staying above us that were running around at three in the morning. This was a nice hotel. The Hotel was a bit older but was clean and great service! Great price! They provide a free continental breakfast. Indoor pool was nice because it was cold and rainy during our stay! Refrigerator in the room!

Since I had booked my stay with out seeing the rooms in person, I found it very clean and the staff was very nice. I would book the Hyannis Travel Inn again in the future.

I have stayed here twice while on business and did so based on reviews. I can happily state that these reviews were on the mark. This hotel does not have any frills but provides satisfactory accommodation in a great location. They are just about finished with a refurb which does brighten up the rooms. All of your needs are met but be sure to bring your […] own shampoo - something's gotta be absent at this price point. I will say that I had a great nights sleep on both occasions and it is a pleasure to stay in a hotel with a slider that opens on to a balcony - off season is quiet. Breakfast is the usual continental but again, more than you would expect for the price. The staff were friendly on both occasions. I will stay here again. Mehr

I picked this hotel because I needed to get away for the weekend and it was in a great location. I was pleasantly surprised. Cons: Older hotel, it could use some updating (pictures on the wall in the hallways, etc). They also still actual keys, as opposed to key cards most hotels now have. And my remote looked a little dirty. Pros: It was clean, the hotel staff were fantastic and very helpful. The pool and hot tub were in good condition and were wonderful for relaxing. I liked the early morning to 9pm coffee, tea and hot cocoa. I liked the included breakfast (which was in the pool room) although it wasn't anything fancy. Also, the hotel has a FANTASTIC location - it's a block from Main Street in Hyannis, so you can walk to many of the bars, restaurants, and Hyannis Harbor. All in all, I'd stay at this hotel again. I'm a clean freak, and it (almost) met my extraordinary high standard for hotel cleanliness. I loved the hot tub, breakfast, and the staff. And the location was unbeatable. Mehr

At the price we got I was very happy with the hotel. We had everything we needed for a one night stay although no frills so wouldn't recommend it for long stays. They could do with updating carpets in hall way at some stage. Continental breakfast was included and plentiful although no fruit of any kind available. The quality of the hotel was only so-so, but the low rate we got through hotels.com more than made up for the shortcomings. It is not directly on the beach, but is very close to the center of all the action (shops, JFK museum, and restaurants). If you're an active person, you could probably walk to the beach and back with no problem. The room and the bathroom were clean but not recently updated (the shower leaked and the space heater was broken, so it was like a sauna when we got in and it would periodically turn on by itself). There was plenty of space in the room. There is a porch that is connected to the room that overlooks the parking lot and another porch-type area across the hall, which also overlooks a parking lot. There are no rooms with a view anywhere in the hotel and even though it was close to the center of the town, at night it was quite peaceful (we visited in the middle of May). Overall, the hotel is just what the name says - an inn for those traveling. The accommodations were acceptable, the rate was low, and the staff were really nice and approachable. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to someone who's traveling - on a budget. Mehr
