We have stayed here several times. The staff is friendly, and the rooms are comfortable. It is amazingly quiet which is what I really like.

We were looking for cheaper accommodations and this hotel was on par with some others, it is older but it was clean and tidy, the room was too hot that would be my one complaint, the rooms don't have things like irons in them but I called the front desk and they brought one right away, staff were friendly, it is next door to the Banff Park Lodge and […] you can use the pool/sauna/hot tub there which was nice, I don't think I would want to walk outside and through the parking garage there in the dead of winter but in the spring it wasn't too bad. Overall, it was ok and was close to the downtown area and only a five min walk to a wonderful Irish Pub...can't go wrong there!! Mehr

The hotel was a half decent location. It was within close walking distance of the main strip. There was a nice pool that you could use at the hotel next door. The rooms were not impressive at all, but if you are not planning on spending a lot of time in the room, then it is of great value.

Inexpensive, good views, clean, quiet and conveniently located in town. Will definately book there again.

Great place to put your head down after long day and many beers. It was difficult to find parking but overall a good place to stay....

A great hotel, at a cheap rate and very clean. Rooms are small, but very nice and affordable.

overall, above average but the room was in a corner area so not very roomy but for the price.. still good.

The hotel we stayed at was perfectly located across from the river so the scenery was awesome. The hotel itself was nice & cozy. Will go back in a heart beat & will use hotels.com again. Thanks

This hotel was great quality for the price - everything you need. The access to the hotel next doors amazing pool and hot tub / eucalyptus steam is awesome too. Clean rooms & helpful staff. I don't care about outdated artwork or wall paper when I'm sleeping.

The hotel was great for what we paid and it was close to Main Street to walk to dinner and down Main Street. I also enjoyed using the neighbouring hotel's pool and hot tub after skiing all day... nice way to unwind.

Although not on Banff avenue, this hotel was much closer to the shops than other hotels closer to the highway. It was old, but clean and hotel staff were friendly.

Great hotel- short walk to ameneties

room looking a little dated ( rugs, pics, wallpaper) great access to Banff Park Lodge rec facilities - first class!! CP trains still blowing their whistles - make them stop at night as it ruins the quiet on the river view side of the lodge (not to mention my sleep). pillows a little too hard for my liking. access to river and walking paths is excel […] lent Mehr

We enjoy the time in the hotel. The building is well mantained but is a little old. Good service. No restaurant , no pool inside the hotel. The train is really noisy and sometimes is not easy to sleep. Next time We'll try a diffeent one.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Yes, it is an older hotel but it was very clean. When we asked about breakfast they provided us with a 2 for 1 voucher for the breakfast buffet in the sister hotel Banff Park Lodge. The Bow View is located in the heart of downtown so it is easy walking to shops and restaurants - try the Nourish vegetarian […] restaurant in the Sundance Mall, superb food! Mehr

The room was very adequate for the family and a plus was the use of the salt water pool, jacuzzi and steam room at the sister hotel next door. Would definately go back again and book through Hotel . com for any discounts.

It was a great stay. Clean room & organized. The only thing we didn't anticipate is the heating of the room which we thought it didn't work well. Overall, I'll recommend this hotel to everyone! Very close & convenient to the the downtown area, hospital & gas station.

I found this hotel on trip advisor and it was exactly as I expected it to be. Slightly dated and carpets a bit scruffy in entrance, but on entering our room it was a completely different story. Lovely room with balcony and view over Bow River. A Bit dated but very clean and comfortable. We went next door to sister Hotel, for breakfast, (Banff Park Lodge) […] Very smart place and wonderful breakfast. All anyone could want from a buffet. Very helpful staff with trips and so on. The only hotel with a view of the Bow River, choose a balcony room and wait for the deer to come nibble the flowers. Walk the beautiful river walk, and feel very smug as you pass tourists who didn't know about the Bowview!

the bow veiw lodge was a nice place to spend a night in banff if you are travelling as a couple or alone,the room was small but did have 2 queen sized beds in it.it was overall very clean and tidy.if travelling on a budget,this hotel is close to the downtown and very close to various activities.the only downfall was the tub /shower combination drained […] very slowly while being used and the fact there were not many electrical outlets in the room to recharge your electronic devices.my stay was pleasant and peaceful. The thing that bothered me is the misadvertisement. Looks NOTHING like what is shown on Hotels.com No view, Ghetto rooms, Ghetto lobby. Only thing that saved this weekend was the location. But I'd have paid more to have a nicer room.

Not bad but not great... for the price i should have booked in at the fox for a second night but they were sold out

It is an excellent location, just next to Bow River. Nice walk along the riverside. Rent a canoe or rent a bike, just walk cross. Holiday with 'a bonus' when you stay in this hotel.

Hotel building needed upgrade/brighter color. Once you went to the room, it was very different. Clean and fresh. The bed was comfortable. Even the plastic shower curtain didn't have stale odor !I got a room with the view of the Bow river.Awesome.I stayed during the Canada's independence day and the sight of the firework display could be seen from my […] balcony. The Front desk reception was very nice and friendly. I would say one of the best in my last 8 days trips, Pefect location , close to the town center but quiet and has a beautiful river view, Clean and good side room., However, I would not recommend this hotel. The carpet is not just dated. It is very dirty, and oilly. when you walk on it, you feelthat […] it is kind of sticky, I have to put some towls on the floor for walk , it happen that my mom did the same thing in her room , She have never done that before. The hotel is set in aquiet area of the lovely town of Banff. Our room was small for a 4 day stay, felt a little cramped but otherwise ok. We found the location great. It is quiet and relaxed and the amenities of the sister hotel are very good.

Clean comfortable and very well isolated rooms. Hallways/exterior are not renovated but the rooms are very good.

The Bow View Inn is conveniently located in the heart of Banff within easy walking distance to the beautiful Bow River, restaurants, shops, theaters and grocery stores. Guests have access to the sister hotel, The Banff Park Lodge which offers full dining services, cocktail lounges, exercise facilities and a heated pool and jacuzzi. As noted in previous […] reviews, the hallways good use some new carpet but the rooms are well maintained, clean and comfortable. Should I return to Banff, I would stay there again. It is a great value for the price as Banff can be a bit on the expensive side. Mehr

The Bow View Lodge is in an excellent location to see Banff. It is a short walk to Banff Ave and is right on the Bow River with a beautiful walking trail. The staff was friendly and very helpful. It is a little dated but the room was nicely furnished. The fridge was very handy because there is a grocery store not too far away. The balcony was okay. […] I did not pay extra for a river view so it overlooked the parking lot. At least it provided a cool breeze because the climate control was a fan. My biggest complaint is the mattresses. They were very old and uncomfortable and should be replaced immediately. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and it was very convenient. Mehr

The staff tries hard but the property has seen better days. Nice location but not a very good value for the price.

Good location

Min mand og jeg boede to dage på Bow View Lodge med vores 4-årige datter. Hotellet er ikke prangende, men velfungerende. Nabohotellets indendørs pool kan benyttes, hvilket var til stor fornøjelse for vores datter.
