Budget Inn & Suites - Corpus Christi

Für den Preis auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert. Freundlicher Empfang, sauberes Zimmer, was will man mehr. Die Lage ist ganz gut, kurzer Weg zum Strand. Man sollte Corpus Christi nur nicht außerhalb der Saison besuchen.

Von außen sieht es sehr ungepflegt aus, innen sind die Zimmer aber gut ausgestattet und sauber. die Lage des Hotels ist seht gut, nur wenige Minuten bin Downtown.

The second I stepped into the room I felt a heaviness in the air. There was a funky smell and the sheets had cigarette burn holes. The first night I didn't really notice it because I came home so late and only slept for 5 hrs. However, on the second night I woke up feeling my entire body burning. Not a bad place to stay for the price. AC worked good. Bed very comfortable. I think the parking space for our room was occupied our entire stay by the owners or employees of the motel. We had to park elsewhere. Only one front desk clerk to help arriving guest, he was on phone forever while guests were made to wait.

We had the best room in the place, I think, with a second floor view of Corpus Christi Bay. The room had a refrigerator and microwave, and we were able to walk to dinner down the beachfront. Great room, great location! That's the good news. The paint job was haphazard, with uneven borders that left us wondering which was new and which was old - and […] whether they had a plan. There was a rooftop area that looked like it might have been intended for the guests; enjoyment, but without chairs or other furniture. The next morning, we went downstairs to check out breakfast. The coffee was stone cold, the "hot" water was tepid. We didn't try the OJ or apple juice. There was cereal (Froot Loops and corn flakes) and chopped up cinnamon rolls. That was it. The hotel was nice, it was convenient to where we were going in Corpus. Its not a 4 star hotel, but its a nice hotel if your on a budget or if your like us being spontaneous and need a place to stay.

Budget Inn Hotel was OK for the price, but for $10 more I could have stayed somewhere else. Cleaniness was not a problem; hotel is well worn. We got a 2nd floor and had to climb stairs due to no elevator. Breakfast was self serve: coffee, pastry, cold cereal. Hotel location was fantastic.

Stayed at this hotel 10/15. Perfect location, a quick walk across the boulevard and you are on the seawall/beach. Beautiful sunrise. Room was clean and cold when I arrived. Bathroom was clean. Towels were a bit threadbare so I had to use two of them. All in all, it was perfect for a one night budget stay.

Although we don't spend $$$$ on a hotel, we were afraid that this $ motel would suck. Wrong! I looked for lodging close to my friends' home for 2 nights. We really got lucky. The building is old but the rooms are large and clean and it's right across the street from what I will call the seawall/boardwalk. We saw the sun rise over the water from the […] rooftop deck (what a beautiful sight) then walked to enjoy the various gazebos and other POIs with historical facts. No, I'm not a history buff, far from it, but it was interesting, even romantic. Take a glass of wine and enjoy! If you have champagne taste, go across the street to the Holiday Inn and pay four times as much. I don't guess you'll need the fridge and microwave over there. Mehr

My husband and I stayed at this hotel in mid-August for our one year anniversary. I did a lot of hunting for the 'perfect' hotel in Corpus and ended up choosing this one. By perfect, I was looking for a hotel within walking distance from the beach, on the cheaper end, and no comments of bedbugs in online reviews. And according to these three things, […] I was satisfied. Pros: We arrived very late but the lady at the front desk smiled and was friendly. We were surprised to find a larger mini-fridge and a two burner electric stove in the kitchen. The king sized bed had 5 pillows. The maids brought in fresh towels every day. The TV had basic cable with clear reception. The A/C worked so well you forgot it was 100 degrees outside. There were coin operated laundry machines. The beach was literally right across the street with a play ground just as close. The sand was soft with lots of pretty shells. The water was wonderfully warm and was very shallow 50 ft out from the shore. The marina was also just a few blocks down the road. The hotel was at full capacity but we never heard our neighbors. Overflow parking is the church parking lot right next door. The original Whataburger is just around the corner. Cons: The carpets did have gum spots and was a little on the dirty side (which we tracked in a lot of sand from the beach ourselves), and someone had peppered the walls with boogers in the bathroom. And there were some hairs on the bed that didn't belong to us when we first arrived (from the maid most likely). That being said, we didn't contract any diseases or break out in a rash and as long as I didn't lick the carpet, I felt fine occupying the room. The beach does have grapefruit-sized 'cabbage head' jellyfish that frequently hang out about 80 ft out but according to the Aquarium, they 'usually don't sting.' This is an older hotel. It could stand some update but was in good conditon and well maintained. For the price it was very good. Didn't use the breakfast so can't comment on it. I would stay here again.

This hotel is in sorry shape. I have never given a bad review but just can not give this place a thumbs up. It is very old and that would not bother me but it is not clean and very dingy. Really they should not say they offer a breakfast because it is so minimum. The location is ideal, but it should really be torn down and rebuilt. I would really look […] else where. On a positvie note we ate at Pier 99 and it was the best seafood I have ever eaten. We ate on the patio and enjoyed the live country music. Exellent!! Mehr

This hotel is terrible. The room smelled so bad, has this strong smell like dead grass. The smell was so strong that make me sick.The carpet had a lot big dark spots, scare to walk without shoes. The only electric outlet by the sink did not work. Very bad experience, when we came home, all our clothes smelled like dead grass , is a shame.

Very expensive for its conditions. There was puke all over the staircase and parking lot. Very unfriendly staff. Uncomfortable beds. Shower wasn't draining. Good location though but overall it could be a lot better.

The hotel was right by the beach, however the bathroom smelled like urine. We stayed in a room with 3 queen beds and they didn't have enough towels to accommodate the number of guests an when we asked for more towels they had us come and get them! The breakfast was pitiful as well. Will not stay there again or will not recommend to anyone.

Hotel is not much to look at on the outside, older building, older rooms, but the bed was super comfy! AC worked great and kept the room nice and cool for the 105 degree days outside. When we first arrived for check-in we expected our standard room we booked in advance, but the clerk at the desk offered us an upgraded for pocket change more that overlooked […] the ocean. Super great deal and will visit again. Note: bring your own breakfast foods, not much of a breakfast available downstairs and really no place to eat it if you did; very small lobby! Mehr

The outside looked run down but the room was nice and clean. It was pretty quite there and right on the bay.

The room was nice and clean and we had no problems during our stay. We would go back it was a great value and you can walk across the street to the beach.

The look inside is much better than outside. The continental breakfast could be better, but other than that an the exterior of the hotel i had a great stay. Its so close to the beach.

It was horrible, nasty room, stains on towels, chair, clogged bathtub, burned coffee pot, I will never stay there again, I wish it had been different it was New Year's Eve spent in nasty conditions.

As a family hotel, the service was good but the family was disappointed with the breakfast (no tables, basic danishes/coffee/cereal) in the tiny lobby. The area around the hotel was nice and looked safe but the hotel didn't give off that 'vibe'. The parking lot looked too small for the amount of rooms. The rooms were acceptably clean and appointed, […] but several other rooms had broken windows. Overall, if you need a place to stay it's a good purchase but you can find cheaper beach hotels if you just drive around. Mehr

Very good option for the money and the location, recommended. I only stayed on night and can only talk for the non smoker 1 king size room I was in: It was clean and up to the standard you could expect from a Hotel of this franchise. Overall, pleasant experience.

If you are willing to put up with thin walls and noise from the 2nd floor you'll be ok. Otherwise you won't enjoy your stay. It was a bit smelly, carpets were stained and looked as if it had not been thoroughly cleaned in a while. Very reasonably priced and in a great spot; however, the hotel overall was not great.

Our room was spacious and very clean. We were given extra towels for the pool.

Unfortunaly our trips have not been for pleasure, we have stayed at this hotel because it is close to Driscoll Childrens Hospital. The people there are very helpful on helping us get around. The view of the beach is great and everyone is very friendly.

The carpet needs replacing dirty and smells. The refer was nasty. There was a can of something that had been there quite a while. The bathroom and over all was okay. The beds were clean and made. Not enough parking we luck out that when we got there we got the last parking space. Three others after were not lucky. I think for the location it should […] be cleaner. Next time we will stay at the Holiday Inn across the street. The swimming pool was small. I have stayed at Hotel 8 in Corpus and they are alot cleaner and nicer cleaner carpets. I have never stayed anywhere that the refer and carpet were nasty. They should highly replace those carpets and clean the refers! Mehr

Rooms had not been thoroughly cleaned in quite some time. Long black hairs on floors and counters. German roaches seen at night. We knew that this was not a top-shelf location when the hotel was booked, so can't really complain too much. Would look elsewhere for next stay in the area. Office staff was friendly.

The location of the hotel to the beach was great but the hotel itself needs some work. There were holes in the walls, our window was broken, cig burns in the bedspread, a dead roach in the bathroom, hairs in the sheets and on the towels. I was not expecting much from a 2 star hotel but I was honestly shocked when we checked in. If I could have found […] a room elsewhere I would have changed hotels in a heartbeat. Mehr

We were pleasantly surprised at this hotel. From the outside, we thought........well lets see what we think and we may have to find another place to stay, but when we walked into the room we knew we would stay!!! The staff was very friendly and so helpful. It was right across the street from the beach and from a playground! Would stay there again.

The hotel was great for the money. The location was right by the beach and was central to everywhere we went to visit. THe rooms were very spacious. I would say for the money it was a bargain. I felt like the pool could have been bigger. Other than that we had a great time.

Good location was only a block from the beach. Had a view of the bay from our room. Hotel had been damaged by hurricane but it was in good condition. Not a lot of resturant choices close by.
