The hotel is in a great location for persons visiting Old Montreal and / or the Gay Village and with it being centrally located it has easy access to the subway for getting around. The room choices cand accomidate single travellers as well as groups with two bed room suites available for up to three couples. All rooms have a fridge, but the suites […] have full kitchen and stoves for late night snacking or making a full meal. The only down side to the hotel is sometimes the housekeeping takes a while to get to all the rooms and some room cleaning does not happen till 4:30 in the afternoon or as I call it, Nap Time before another night out on the town. This hotel is a great value. Really clean, comfortable, close to downtown and really cheap. The only thing I could say that was of poor quality was the isolation, you could hear someone wisper in the corridors. But despise that i'd go back anytime

Nice stay in Montreal. I asked for a two queen size bed and got a 1 bed room. They ask for my visa to retain 100$ because I booked with Hotels .com and not with them directly. Do not know when I will get my money back. D. R.

Location: The hotel is conveniently located near the livelier student and entertainment district of Montreal, and the centre is also very accessible, even by foot. It is also close to the Metro, for convenient and efficient access to all other key parts of town. Facilities: The hotel itself was of surprisingly good quality for the price and the room […] was very good. The staff were very helpful and even let us store our baggage for the day after we had checked out. The breakfast was great, with Continential options of croissants and pastries included. There was no noise from the street at all, but the corridors can sometimes be noisy in late morning when customers are wheeling their suitcases around. I would gladly stay there again. Mehr

Upon reading other reviews prior to booking, I was skeptical of staying here but after having stayed here, I can easily recommend this property to others. From the outside you think you may have made a mistake in booking here by the unassuming office building type design. The rooms are big and very simple with hardly any decoration or interior design […] besides the two pictures hanging on the wall above the bed (s), which reminds me of staying in a college dorm room but much bigger. The room and other parts of the hotel were very clean and appears had been freshly painted. The hotel staff in the lobby are very nice and helpful that added enjoyment to our stay. The area is very safe which is in downtown Montreal and an easy 10 minute walk into Old Montreal and nearby shopping, yes I would stay here again! Some helpful advice about parking regarding other prior comments I read. The hotel offers indoor parking at in indoor garage around the block that is behind the hotel, however the entrance way is small that my Nissan Pathfinder would not fit in, so instead the hotel provided me with a pass for one of only 6 hotel outdoor spaces next to the garage, both of which provide in/out access, which costs only $15 /day till check out time. If you want to enjoy Montreal after check out, you can purchase a half day or full day parking pass at the hotel front desk. There is also a private and big parking lot you can park at around the corner for a little more. If you are on vacation, please don’t let the expense of parking ruin it for you, it is only a few more dollars for the convenience. I really like this location which allowed me to enjoy walking around the nearby streets and photographing it plus the view. Mehr

Our room was clean and comfortable had all the expected amenities. The hotel has a nice complimentary breakfast and friendly staff. It's conveniently located 2 blocks from one of the bigger metro stations. This hotel is in a great location, walking distance from Old Montreal. The front desk staff was very courteous and helpful. The room was of a decent size, and clean. The room included a kitchenette with dishes and everything, which I didn't expect but ended up being great for my trip. The hotel parking is off site, in a garage half a block away. got there by bus witch the station was only about a 5 min walk from as you can pass through the UQAM witch is right across the street, metro is extremly close, very close to the most popular streets: St. Catherine and St. Laurent, hotel room was good it even had a fridge and sink with dishes to use, it was advertised satelite tv but most of the chanels […] didn't work but i wasn't there to watch tv... awsome location and great price. OK for a one night stay which we did prior to joining a cruise ship. Is in need of re-furbishing, but okay for what we paid and the fact it was just for one night.

Montreal is not a nice city at all. Hotel was nice and cozy, not for spending time at (about 10 channels on TV). Good just to eat and sleep.

Great location - close to old town, downtown and the metro. Room was basic, but comfortable and clean. Friendly, helpful staff.

Great place to stay- central location, friendly and helpful staff, decently-sized rooms. Parking is close to the hotel but small, which is expected when downtown.

Went to Montreal for a conference and compared notes with several of my colleagues scattered across the city. At the Roberval I had the best rate and the largest room of the group. I also got a free (and tasty) breakfast each morning and my rate for parking was the lowest. The room was very clean and stayed that way all week. The bed was comfortable […] and I had two closets which made it easy to store the suits I brought. If you are a TV fan be aware many of the channels had poor reception. I can not begin to fathom why the hotel provides HBO in Spanish. The air conditioning was bedroom only. Other than one morning desk attendant I met twice and received back directions from twice, the staff was friendly, helpful and professional. This was one of the best hotel experiences I have had in a long time and I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Mehr

We had a great stay here. The room was clean and comfortable except the bed was too hard. The staff was helpful when we asked questions about local places to see. The continental breakfast was just enough...coffee, pastries, cereal, etc. but very nice. We did have a problem with noise on Saturday night with other guests coming and going very late at […] night. There was no street noise really. We walked everywhere and also took the metro which is very close by. At night I felt less safe walking around than I had felt during the day. We stayed at the Roberval for one night in a standard one-queen room. It was a very spacious and comfortable room but it was not very soundproof. Breakfast was great, service was great, location was excellent! The only issues we encountered were an insect in our bed in the morning (had it been there all night?! I stayed for 2 nights in this hotel, it was very nice experience. This is the second year in a row I've stayed at this hotel. I always book it because it provides underground parking which I highly recommend in this neighborhood. I always book Suite's because it's me and my friend. Last year's suite was on the second floor and I was not impressed. But this year we were in room 407 and it was GREAT! Probably the room […] they use for the pictures. I was very happy with the room. Only downside was no microwave like last year, but we had an oven (no baking pans though). Only thing that was gross was a blood stain spot on the sheets. But that was taken care of. Also, the majority of the personnel speak English so you don't need to worry too often about being understood. Hotel staff were very courteous. Mehr

The hotel is located near the busy Rue St Denis. The staff is frendly and the suite is clean and in good condition. Upgrading to a suite is worth the cost since you get free parking and breakfast.The parking is on the next street, however. If you drive, the hotel is conveniently located not far from Highway 720. An easy way in and out of the city.

Booked based on price and got more than expected. Included indoor parking adds to value. Rooms a bit small, but more than adequate. Nice having living room and kitchen, especially if staying for a few days. Very clean, very friendly staff.

The hotel is placed to very convenient location subway station at walkable distance.Surrounding environment is also good. No question about service & co-operation from staff It's value for money.

We came in our room and it really had a weird smell. Thats nog gooed begin. The blankets where full of holes. They painted the whole hotel, that lookt nice but the smell and holes in the blankets were diassapointing. Parking was 15 dollars excl tax.

The front desk was very accommodating, answered all our questions satisfactorily, gave us guidance and were always available to help. The suite more than met our needs.

We stayed at this hotel for one night while passing through the city. It was a nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Parking was an extra $15 per night and the parking lot for the hotel is pretty small. Luckily we have a compact car because it is a very tight squeeze to get around the garage. The location is good but when we were staying […] there in mid September there was a contruction crew just starting to build a new building right across the street. If you're in a room on the right side of the hotel, as we were, you could hear construction sounds starting around 8 in the morning. Mehr

Basic furniture, breakfast(croissants, cereal, fruit, yoghurt) but in fact everything you need for a pleasant stay. Very very clean.

Our Hotel Roberval Suite met our needs perfectly. It was inexpensive, clean and the service at the front desk was consistently helpful and cheerful. Best of all the suite with its stove, refrigerator coffee pot and other cookware was very functional. There was also ethernet (not wifi) access to the internet which provided speedy access to the web. The […] bed was spacious and comfortable. P.S. the hotel was located within walking distance of a great many interesting areas of montreal. for other areas further away, the metro was only one block away. the kitchen unit was very complete and useful.

The location and price for what you get is excellent. Then only thing I would comment that could be better was the breakfast. It lacked variety and mostly consisted of bread, bagels and coffee.

What a wonderful hotel! Price: cheapest in all of Montreal. Location: prime - I was walking distance from Old Montreal, Chinatown, Downtown, and The Village. Hotel: was given an upgrade to a suite that wasn't much smaller than my apartment. It came equiped with a stove/oven, toaster, and refridgerator. Wow. Room was very neat and no loud sounds coming […] from the neighbors. Quiet neighborhood. However, there may be a question about the homeless population. But this problem seems to persist throughout much of the city, so that should not be a knock on this hotel. You will have to pay for parking no matter where you go; luckily, Le Roberval has parking available in an adjacent building for a good price (warning: garage is small, but a garage nonetheless). Breakfast was adequate (bagels, cereal, OJ, etc). The front desk employees were wonderful and bilingual. You will be really happy that you stayed at this hotel. Mehr

Hotel is very central to the St. Cathering street "Village" area. Staff was very nice. They are under new ownership and are renovating the property. It is clean, well located for walking in Montreal. I thought it was a good value for the price I paid.

The hotel is fine, that was our third stay at the hotel, and the location is great. It's close to the location of the Jazz Festival and to the Old City. It's a good place for the money we paid. The only thing we did not like: the closet is really small for a studio. The closet in the other rooms we stayed before (there were 3 of us the previous times) […] were much larger. Mehr
