Diese Übernachtungsmöglichkeit erfüllte seinen Zweck. Hat nichts mit Luxushotel zu tun, war aber bei Buchung klar. Mitarbeiter alle sehr freundlich. Transfer vom Flughafen klappte reibungslos. Ich kann diese Unterkunft empfehlen.

Abgeschieden mit fantastischer Aussicht, dennoch sehr nahe nach Lucca, Pisa etc. Besonders gut auch für einen mehrtägigen Aufenthalt geeignet. Hervorragendes Restaurant, Frühstück italienischer Standard. Getränkepreise etwas überzogen, aber ein herrliches Weinangebot.

Ein Teil der Zimmer hat neue Bäder, anscheinend leider nicht alle. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Bäder sind klein, aber zweckmäßig. Die Betten in einem guten Zustand. Allgemein sehr sauber. Direkt gegenüber sind Privatstrände, ein öffentlicher Starnd ist 150 m entfernt. In dieser Preisklasse habe ich in Italien schon deutlich schlechter übernachtet.

Lage
Das moderne Grand Hotel Bonanno befindet sich in einem ruhigen Viertel in Pisa in Italien, 800 Meter vom Schiefen Turm und weniger als 1,5 Kilometer von der historischen Altstadt und dem Hauptbahnhof von Pisa entfernt. Bis zum Flughafen von Pisa sind es 3,5 Kilometer.
Charakteristika des Hotels
Das im Januar 2006 eröffnete, vierstöckige Grand Hotel Bonanno hat eine cremefarbene Fassade und der Haupteingang ist umgeben von Blumenbeeten, kleinen Bäumen und einer Terrasse. Schiebetüren führen in den langen Empfangsbereich mit grauen Marmorböden, bequemen Sofas und LCD-Fernsehern mit Satellitensendern.
Das Restaurant Il Palmizio im Grand Hotel Bonanno bietet ein Frühstücksbuffet und täglich wechselnde toskanische Gerichte. Das Restaurant serviert eine große Auswahl an italienischen Weinen, und in der American Bar im Garten des Hotels können sich die Gäste in tiefen Sesseln mit einem Cocktail entspannen.
Das Hotel verfügt über mehrere Besprechungsräume mit Tageslicht. W-LAN steht im gesamten Hotel kostenlos zur Verfügung. Den Gästen wird bei der Ankunft ein Willkommensdrink serviert.
Das mehrsprachige Personal steht den Gästen rund um die Uhr zur Verfügung, um Ausflüge, Golf, Ausritte und Ausflüge zum Strand von Tirrenia zu buchen. Sie können auch Fahrräder mieten. Die Parkplätze sind kostenlos und bei Bedarf steht (gegen Aufpreis) ein Flughafen-Shuttle zur Verfügung.

In dieser alten Hafenstadt gibt es unzählige Kirchen, Brücken und alternde "Palazzi". Die meisten Besucher sind jedoch nur an einem einzigen Gebäude interessiert: dem berühmten Schiefen Turm (Torre Pendente). Er scheint sich den Gesetzen der Physik zu widersetzen, die Galileo erprobte, indem er Gewichte von seinem Turm fallen ließ. Selbst ohne die erst vor Kurzem stabilisierte Neigung wäre dieser Glockenturm aus Marmor ein architektonisches Wunderwerk. Zwei kunstvoll gearbeitete Kanzeln sind die Glanzstücke des Duomo und des Baptisteriums in der Nähe.

"Schönes Stadthotel in Zentrumsnähe"
Sehr gepflegtes Hotel mit ausgezeichnetem Frühstück in Zentrumsnähe. Einziges Manko: teilweise etwas laut wegen Nähe zu Zuggleis.
"Great Service and close to tower"
Every staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful. We utilized the 10 euro airport pickup, and the driver was right there when we arrived. There are very few restaurants in the neighborhood, but we were happy with the taste and value of dinner at the hotel restaurant. It was good to eat there so that we don't have to walk through the underpass […] late at night. We also had cocktails in the early evening and enjoyed the free unlimited snacks provided with the drinks. The neighborhood is very quiet with no shopping or entertainment nearby, but appears to be quite safe. It was a short walk to the Tower, even closer to the Pisa SM rail station if you use the shortcut that the front desk tells you about. Mehr

"Good hotel in Pisa"
I was very satisfied with our whole stay and would gladly return and recommend it further. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. They spoke English and helped us with all our inquiries. It was clean and well kept and maintained. A 10min walk to town and the same to the leaning tower makes it nicely central.

Nice place, friendly staff, only a short walk to the Tower. Rooms were very clean and though not the largest we've stayed in they were large enough.
"Grand Bonanno Pisa"
Very classy hotel, well kept, spacious room and upscale restaurant. although not the closest to Pisa, it is well within walking distance. It is a very safe walk which we did during the day ad at night. We higholy recommend this hotel.

the Grand Hotel in Pisa was clean and comfortable. It was a few blocks from the Tower and Duomo. we needed a cab to and from the train station to the hotel. the staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was buffet and excellent.
"Quiet and convenient"
Travelled with my mother and my 2 year old. We were given adjoining rooms which made things easier for us. Rooms and bathrooms were clean, not very spacious in general, but ok for short stays. Good selection of choices for breakfast too. Would probably stay there again.

This hotel was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel. The service was excellent and the restaurant provided an excellent breakfast and dinner. Mario, Simone and the rest of the staff went out of their way to help and assist.

The interior of the hotel and the rooms are pleasant, clean and modern, exceeding our expectations, and the buffet breakfast was well above average. the staff were knowledgeable and helpful, although they could consider taking their cigarette breaks elsewhere than the main hotel entrance. The location of the hotel leaves a lot to be desired; the ten […] minute walk to the tourist centre is along a delapidated and very busy main road, including a railway underpass with a distinctly unpleasant aroma. "Great hotel"
The hotel was a five min bike ride from the leaning tower and they have bike rentals at the hotel. The neighborhood was quiet and seemed safe. Not to mention the staff was very helpful and outgoing. I would stay here again
"Family of 4, age 10 and 13"
Not quite as close to the airport as they say (only as close as the crow flies) however this has been by far the most comfortable stay we have had in Pisa over the years. The family room for 4 is actually two connecting rooms and not one suite and if the doors close they lock shut and the staff need to come and unlock them for you. The buffet breakfast […] was by far the best we have ever encountered in Italy, with a selection of meats, cheeses, fruits and yogurts and bacon and eggs and juices. The internet service worked well. The hotel is about a ten minute walk from the Tower and there are adequate food services within walking distance. The hotel also has an area that you can sit outside in the garden. The only drawback was that the hotel is a little bit further from the Pisa downtown core and that when we arrived late at night, tired and hungry from our flight, there was no room service food or snacks available and the airport shuttle was no longer running so we had to grab a taxi. The receptionist went out of his way to help me find accomodations in Cinque Terre and was also helpful in telling me about other sites/activities to see besides the leaning tower since we had been to Pisa before. Very pleasant experience.

Good and comfortable to stay but far from station. No free pick up service which should be provided by hotel. pisa tower and other places are far from hotel if travelling with older kids.
"Great stop over"
I traveled with two teenagers and they enjoyed this hotel very much we had free wi-fi in lobby. They have shuttle service to train/airport but they do charge a fee 10 euros almost the same as a taxi. Breakfast was very good. Easy 10 min walk to Leaning Tower. Felt very safe. We would stay in this hotel again.
"Nice hotel, 10 minutes taxi ride to Pisa Airport"
I arrived in Pisa at 8pm by train from Florence with my three sons. We had an early flight home from Pisa airport the next morning. We waited at the railway station for 20 minutes for a taxi along with two other parties but there was no sign of any taxis so we decided to start walking as we had the impression from the online hotel description that both […] the hotel and the train station were in city centre. We figured it couldn't be far to the Grand Hotel Bonanno. Unfortunately the map provided with our hotel confirmation did not show both the hotel and the railway station and we ended up walking for an hour asking directions before we found it. A couple of people said it was far and we should be on a bus, not walking. This situation could have been avoided by a map that included the hotel, the railway station and the airport, plus a local taxi telephone number. Because of the delay getting to the hotel the restaurant was about to close for the night when we arrived so we rushed down to get something to eat. We were very impressed that this presented no problem to the staff...we had thought they would be eager to finish work and might be inclined to rush us. Not at all, we had a pleasant and relaxed meal. The hotel clearly caters for people with early flights from Pisa as they happily and efficiently booked an early morning taxi to get us to the airport and had a picnic breakfast ready for us to take with us when we checked out at 5am. Very Nice hotel though a bit of a wak if you don't take taxi to hotel. About 15 minute walk to nearest bus stop and 20 minute walk from hotel to Leaning Tower and field of miracles attractions. Good hotel experience

WE ARRIVED EARLY FOR OUR RESERVATION AND WERE HUNGRY. THE HOTEL STAFF WAS NICE TO OPEN THE BAR AND SERVE US. THE ROOM WAS NICE AND THE LOCATION AND ATMOSPHERE OF THE HOTEL WAS GOOD. WE SAW OUR SIGHTS CLOSE BY AND HAD TRANSPORTATION BACK TO THE TRAIN STATION NICE TRIP.

The only down side of our stay was the evening meal. I had to send my Main course back as the meat was not cooked. They were very good about it and did not charge.

The Hotel was convieniently located to important sights, within walking distance. Good parking facilities. Modern look and feel in an historic localtion - Pisa. Breakfast service good (did not make use of evening meal ) - room more than adequate with moderm feeling. Some staff more attentive than others. Would use again if in Pisa.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, good breakfast, clean and good sized rooms. Walking distance to the leaning tower. We stayed for 2 nights to sight see around pisa. Ideal hotel for this. Not directly in the the centre of it all which suited us as it was quieter and relaxing. Highly recommended.

Generally, the Bonanno was a perfectly pleasant hotel to stay in near Pisa. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they all spoke English well. The internet connection in the room (wired) was barely functional, which was a bit frustrating, but several other hotels in Pisa had similar problems while we were there. It's a short walk from the edge of […] the city, but if you are heading for the university or something else on the other side of town it's a bit of a hike. "Overnight In Pisa"
This was our second time to stay at the Grand Hotel Bonanno. It is an ideal hotel for a short stay in Pisa. (Our reason for staying was a late flight arrival time and the need to to pick up a hire car from the airport the next day) The hotel is not in the centre of the downtown area but Pisa is not a large city so the site of Leaning Tower is no more […] than a 10 minutes walk away. Shopping and restaurants are also within walking distance. A key advantage of a non central location is that there is very little noise from traffic and in particular un-muffled motor scooters. Flight crews overnighting in Pisa also stay are the hotel and this is usually a good sign. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was small but was clean and airconditioned. The general areas within the hotel were also very well maintained and clean. A buffet style breakfast was provided with plenty of choice available for both adults and children. "Grand Hotel Bonanno in Pisa, Italy"
A modern hotel situated within walking distance of the Leaning Tower and a short taxi ride from the Central Station and Airport. Rooms were comfortable, well appointed and exceptionally clean. Spread over 3 floors the rooms were reasonably quiet, with occasional noise from nearby railway line & traffic using the underpass at front of hotel. The hotel […] restaurant provided a buffet style breakfast with a good choice of cold fare also scrambled egg, bacon, sausage & toast. Dinner was available in the restaurant (or as room service) from a fixed rather limited menu. Pricing of food & drink was about average for the region (but expensive compared to UK prices). Overall a good choice of Hotel for a short stay to see the sights of Pisa, with easy access to frequent & inexpensive rail link to Florence. Mehr

"Good hotel in Pisa"
We were traveling with a teenager, and he was pleased with the layout of the room--his space was divided from ours so it was almost like two rooms. The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk from the Cathedral/Leaning Tower area. We liked being away from the crowds and noise. "Clean, efficient and friendly hotel"
The hotel room was a little on the snug size, but everything else was more than adequate with plenty of storage The location was great as we only had the afternoon and evening before flying back to the UK, and it was only a short walk to the centre and its sights. We also arrived an hour early, coming from Florence but were able to book into our room. Particularly […] notable was the quality, service and price of the evening meal. The food was excellent and for a four star hotel we were very impressed with the price. The service was quick and efficient too. The breakfast was also plentiful and was regularly topped up, with lots of choice, although the morning we were there there were a coachful of people and so it was extremely busy with a lot of impatient people pushing and shoving which was a shame. "Ok but forgettable and fine for one night"
There was nothing wrong with the hotel, but nothing really memorable about it either. Not really any facilities but fine to stay in if you flew into the airport late at night.

Within walking distance of the tower and surroundings. Very good food in the restaurant - breakfast should be included. Friendly staff. Small rooms, likely no bath. Adjacent to railroad track so request room away from tracks.
"A Perfect Base"
The hotel was situated in a perfect location for exploring the city everything you wanted for example the main sites were ideally located within a short stroll ideal like ours for small young families with a pushchair,the staff were most courteous as well which made what i thought would be a good trip even better!

It was a decent hotel and the staff were really helpful and friendly. I had no real issues staying there but as a 4 star hotel, it wasn't really what I would have expected. It's close enough to the main attractions but the actual area is not that nice. I would have been happier if it had been advertised as a 3 star.
"Convenient but disappointing"
We booked this hotel because it was convenient for the attractions of Pisa and for the airport. It was both these things but did not really deliver it's 4 star promise. The position next to the railway track and a dirty underpass did not help. The rooms lacked character and while functional were just that bit too small. "Nice Hotel for Visiting Pisa"
The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the leaning tower and the square. Restaurant are few near the hotel but we did manage to find a nice father/son pizzeria just down the street that was quite good. There is also a small grocery store nearby to buy water,etc. My largest complaint is charging for internet access and the lack of wireless in the room. […] You have to purchase username at the front desk that gives a fixed amount of hours to use the internet. You are required to use your username even on the public computer. Mehr

Used this hotel for an overnight in Pisa. Very nice hotel - good location for sightseeing! Another thing very comfortable beds which can be rare in hotels!! Slept like a baby!!

Very functional hotel but comfortable and clean. Well located for the Tower and Station with friendly and courteous staff. Struggled with the coffee machine in the morning but on the whole a nice breakfast.

I stayed in this hotel for one night with my girlfriend as we our flight into Pisa didn't get into 12pm and we our main holiday was in Florence. The rooms were spacious and the interior was beautiful. The hotel also had option on TV's to change language to english. The breakfast was excellent. "Exceeded Expectations"
Unpretentious and Welcoming the Grand Bonanno staff we're very pleasant and helpful. We got a good price on a double room with breakfast on a non refund basis. There was also free car parking at the rear of the hotel which is located in a quiet area within a short walking distance from the "Leaning Tower". The girl at reception was happy for us to leave […] our car parked for as long as we liked while we went on a walkabout. Would be happy to recommend this hotel. Mehr
"Pisa Perfect!!"
I joined a group of eleven friends on a Hen party weekend. It was not a rowdy affair but rather a tasteful cultural exposure to Pisa. The Grand Hotel Bonanno was perfect for our needs. It was well located and accessible for all our needs. The staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. The use of the minibus to take us into Pisa and to the airport […] was a bonus. The rooms were well maintained and clean and our breakfast was fine. it was lovley to have a breakfast bag to take awy with us on the last morning when we left very early. "An Excellent Stay!"
The hotel was close to the tower and to the train for Florence. Breakfast was amazing! We had a room for 3 and the extra bed had a private area wich was very nice! The staff was friendly and very helpful. Prices at the hotel resturant were better then at the tower area....watch out they charge a sitting fee and the drink prices were outrageous (at […] the tower) We paid 12 euros for a large drink!
