this is a cheap but not nasty hotel beds are comfy tv is old beautiful grounds and pools staff not very helpful

We had a lovely two bedroom apartment and found the facilities wonderful. The kids had a ball and we will definitely be returning. Some things that didn't bother us but may bother others: * This place is close to the airport so you can hear the planes taking off all day long * The resort is about 3KM from the Centre of Cairns, so if you wanted to do […] some shopping you would really need a car or have to catch the bus. Nice and comfortable stay in this resort. Facilities are great. There were 2 problems. One was the spa at the room which some kind of black fungus came out from the jets. We gave up using the spa in the room... Second was the wireless internet connection. It could not connected to my lap top which so far all wireless connection has been working. I got […] refund. We could not fault this place at all, their service was amazing... highly recommend this place.

We stayed in Lakes Cairns 9 nights. Resort area is really nice, pools are nice and good possibilities to have BBQ by the pool. Rooms are spacy and nice, clean when we arrived. Because cleaning service was not included I would like to do some hoovering etc, but there were no cleaning equipments in apartment. One should take your own toiletries, washing […] liquids etc with you. The little shop IGA in neighbourhood is really expensive! Because Resort is about 3 km away from centre, we had a rental car, it was good choise. Buses are not so handy with family and I think price will be same. WiFi is really bad! Had a great stay the only complaint would be a bit far from cairns itself and courtesy bus at $7.00 each return adds up .

Fantastic. x 3 pool areas to choose from, fantastic appartment, washing machine, dryer, full kitchen, balcony, was fantastic. Don't let the fact the location is a 5min drive from the city centre - there is a fresh seafood shope one block away which is SUPERB - great for a night in. We chose to stay here as we had stayed at the resort before and were happy with our previous stay. However, unfortunately this time there were a few problems. We hired a portacot for our baby, which was charged at $40 for the week. The cot was extremely worn with broken edges and very wobbly. Simply unsafe to sleep my six month old baby in. I was quite […] frustrated by this as it clearly states on the bottom of the cot not to use it if there is any damage to it. Also, in my view baby safety is not something to take so lightly. What if I had have slept my baby in that unsafe cot and something had have happened? I did report the problem and the night manager did outsource a cot for me in the end. However he too told me he has reported the cot problem at the resort and NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. 3X the hire rate would buy a brand new cot. The hire charges are certainly not getting put back into the cot maintenance - just simply money making at it's best. Unfortunately, we tried to order takeaway one night from the Lime Bar. We wanted takeaway as our baby was asleep so couldnt dine in. It took ONE HOUR to finally get our order in, as noone would answer the phone from 6.30pm onwards eventhough they were open and doing dinner. We had to ring reception to ring them for us. The lime bar eventually rang us but the service was APPALLING. Apparently I spoke to the manager on duty there to place my order. She was rude and abrupt and certainly didnt want to go out of her way to help us. We tried to order some plain rice with our order (they serve rice in the restaurant). I was told they couldnt do it and I was made to feel as though it was a huge inconvenience. There are some positives about my stay at The Lakes, however. The pools are lovely and clean and the rooms are spacious. Next time I visit Cairns I will stay somewhere different, as I was a little disappointed by the service/maintenace this time round. Mehr

My stay at the lakes was a memorable, ideal location not to far from the city by taxi, children friendly has enough to entertain them - pools, games room and swings and is in a village atmosphere. You don't have to go anywhere, you have a bar and a restaurant at your door step. It was very relaxing for the two days i stayed.

Lakes Resort Cairns - Very convenient into CBD, only a short bus ride, nice surroundings and room very spacious with everything you need, only down side the lighting is very low, hard to read at night.

The apartments at The Lakes Cairns Resort & Spa are very roomy and comfortable, with the resort in general being well maintained. It has a number of pools to suit all ages, bbq's for that inexpensive meal by the pool, and even has its own bar & bistro if you don't feel like venturing out. While its location a short distance out of the CBD may not suit […] all travelers, it offers a level of peace and tranquility that is welcoming. In fact it is situated adjacent to a series of lakes and the Cairns Botanical Gardens, both of which provide the opportunity to stroll along sheltered walkways and boardwalks to escape the heat and humidity. only fault would be the lack of good utentials in the kitchen. e.g. good knives and cooking trays and saucepans. we stayed 10 days and this is the worse problem we could find. not too bad i think.

found most of our stay was enjoyable, however, I'm a bit of a tv nut, so digital tv's a must and a tv in bedroom would have made it even better, lounge furniture wasn't comfortable, patio furniture would have been good also.

We spent a week at the resort and found everything to our liking. The gardens and pool areas were beautifully kept and we had no trouble with noise apart from the planes taking off which didn't bother us at all. As we are in our 60s we were not at all impressed with having to carry our luggage up 3 flights of stair. I think we should have been told that there were no lifts. Made it very hard everytime we returned to the apartment. There was mold in the bathroom and cobwebs in most corners. We stayed 12 nights and as we got a cheap rate that did not include […] and linen changes (again something we were not told on booking) Their brochure does state that if you are staying more that a week the linen will be changed half way through your stay. The people working there are very nice but seems there is nothing they can do to help. All in all I will not be going back to the lakes again Mehr

Not my cup of tea - too far from town to walk and too much like living in a gated enclave. The room required maintenance work we we arrived (though it was fixed promptly when it was reported) and the access card to the carpark did not work for the first 2 days and then the electric gate broke down anyway. The acommodation & facilities was very comfortable & clean. Unfortunately we were on the second floor & had a young family above that were very noisy due to the tiles on the floor. It was also very difficult to take the luggage to the room because of the stairs. This was a nice resort. They only problem is there was 5 of us in a two bedroom unit that had only one bathroom. They told us on check out that they had units with two bathrooms. Would stay again.

結論から言うと満足です。 コテージ形式の３階建て家屋がいくつもあり、その敷地内にプールが４つ。部屋も広く、アパートを借りた感覚です。洗濯も料理も部屋で出来るので便利です。こういうのが好きな人にはうけるでしょう。コンセプトの好き嫌い次第ですね。日本人スタッフさんが好印象でした。 難点は、シティから遠いこと。これは仕方がない。でもしょっちゅうシティに出掛けたい人にはお勧めできません。１往復で約３０００円のタクシー代。 今後の為に、１つだけ苦言を申すとしたら、私は家族3人で１部屋に泊まったのですが、特設ベッドが酷くて眠れませんでした。結局大きなWベッドに３人で。少し狭くて。でも特設ベッドは背中痛くて寝られません。3人分の宿泊費を出しているのに３人目は犠牲者。って気分でした。

10月上旬に３泊しました。本当にまったりしたい方には最高のホテルではないでしょうか。部屋の広さ・プールの数・ホテルの規模・環境・コストパフォーマンス全てにおいて満足しました。当方子連れでしたので、部屋でゆっくり食事するのもかえって気をつかわなくてよかったです。難点はできれば日本語がわかるスタッフがいて欲しい事とレストランの朝食の価格と内容は改善して欲しいです。また泊まりに行きます。

８月に５泊で２ベッドルームを利用しました。 ハイシーズンなのに、とても安く予約でき、正直、期待はしていませんでしたが、以外に快適に過ごすことができました。 悪かったところは、眺めの良い部屋ではなかったところ、 部屋が３階で荷物を運ぶのが大変だった。 洗濯機のネットのゴミが山ほど入っていた。 乾燥機も同じく、前に使った人のゴミがそのままだった。 食器が不潔だった。まな板などの調理器具がそろっていなかった。などなど。 又。デイリーサービスなしだったので、洗剤やトイレットペーパーなどは１泊分くらいしか置いていなくて、自分で購入しなければなりません。 一日目は、食洗機用の洗剤や食器用洗剤、トイレットペーパーやキッチンペーパーなどの買い出しと、食器の除菌と洗濯機などの掃除で少し嫌な気分になりましたが、 […] それさえ済めば、後は快適でした。 良かったところは、、駐車場が自分の部屋の真下にあり、自分の家の様に生活できた事、バルコニーが広く、開放感があったこと。市内にも車で１０分位で便利だった事。セキュリティもしっかりしていて、安心して過ごせたこと。フロントの方もとてもフレンドリーで親切だったこと。 なりよりも、コストパフォーマンスは良かった事です。 ケアンズで忙しく過ごすには不向きかもしれませんが、ゆったり過ごす方には適していると思います。 又、機会がありましたら利用したいホテルでした。 Mehr

Nous avons été très surpris par la grande qualité de services et le professionalisme du personnel de The Lakes, toujours là pour répondre à nos questions, avec patience. L4appartement était très bien, spacieux et donnant sur une grande piscine. C'est un endroit parfait avec les enfants, la cuisine équipée et les barbecues autour des piscines permettent […] de manger sur place. Nous recommadons vivement cet endroit. Mehr
