Fountain Court Apartments - Morrison - Edinburgh

I thought I was getting a bargain!, but should have known better as you always get what you pay for. This smelly tired place is one to avoid. You have to check in about 200 yards away, which isn't the end of the world, and the reception area is quite nice. But by the time tyou get to the rooms the standard drops. The rooms were smelly and any cleaning […] that had been done was done in a hurry. The towels smelt, the carpets were sticky, the toilet seat was broken and there was no soap in the bathroom which made me wonder what previous users of the room did to wash their hands after going to the toilet! We were very happy with our choice. We stayed for 4 nights. Our apartment was very comfortable and we were happy to be able to use or kitchen to save some money on meals. Everyone was very nice! It was about a 15 minute walk to the major sites, but it was fine for us.

Good location, short walk to Princes Street or the Edinburgh Castle - approx. 10 minutes. Apartment was very comfy and although not all furniture was new it was really very clean! Good comfy bed, well equipped kitchen and overall a cosy and nice place to stay, it doesn't have the 'hotel feel'. There is no lift, which was not a big problem for us, but […] it can be inconvenient for some people, especialy with big luggage. The office for these apartments is at Grove Str. - 5 mins walk from Morrison Str. Service was very friendly and helpful with providing information about traffic diversions, buses to the airport etc. Mehr

The Fountain Court Hotel in Edinburgh was the worst I have ever seen: The bed was broken and I almost touched the ground when I lay down to sleep. The room was in the basement with the subway travelling beneath us every 10 minutes at night. The smell in the damp cell was appaling. Only on site did we learn that no breakfast was included in the fee and […] that parking costs 8 Pounds extra. There should have been an internet connection in our room on Morrison street but there was none. No soap or shampoo in the bathroom. When I complained to the manager, he just told us nothing could be done and that he was not responsible. This hotel is exactly how hotels should NOT be and I hope people will avoid it in the future. The apartment was fine, it was well maintained and clean it had all the mod cons, fully fitted kitchen. Overall the one bed apartment was very roomy. It was located close to the railway station and in easy ( 10 mins) walking distance to the city center.The only problem was the building is an old building with no lift, I was on the third floor and the […] stairway was quite steep, given the choice I would opt for one of your more modern apartments. Everything was fine. Clean and quite comfortable rooms and kitchen, next to Haymarket station and supermarkets.

Fountain Court apartments staff never fail in their aim to please. Every request that I made was dealt with in a timely manner. Its closeness to the city and nearby supermarkets make it a great place to settle down for a quick trip to Scotland's glorious capital.

We booked a room at Fountain Court Apartments Morrison but there is no check-in counter at this location. We had to walk an additional 2 blocks to a different Fountain Court location to check in and then walk the 2 blocks back to the Morrison location. The room/apartment we stayed in had 4 total radiators but only 2 worked the first night. It got kind […] of cold. Also, found out in the morning that there was no hot water! This is not an exaggeration. We stopped at the lobby (2 blocks away) after a very quick cold shower to ask for a different room. They said they would either fix it or give us a new room. That was fine. When we got back to our room later that day we found that they had fixed the radiators so all 4 now worked and they must have adjusted the hot water heater because we got hot water in the shower the next morning. Mostly. It was still a little sporatic and annoying. Overall, the people were friendly but you can find a better hotel than this Morrison Street location. Mehr

En lejlighed med alle de ting, man skal bruge til en storbysferie og med gå afstand til stort set alt. Vejledning fra kontoret (Foundation Apartments) var virkelig god. Bemærk det store aktivitetscenter (bowling, biograf, fitness) ca. 800 meter derfra, ned ad Grove Street og til højre!

離市中心不遠,約十分鐘路程,我們住的是一房一聽有廚房的,舒適度很ok,有免費網路,但沒有wifi,如果有會更好,有洗衣機但沒有附洗衣粉很麻煩,我想沒有人會帶洗衣粉旅行吧... 價錢公道！

El bloque de apartamentos está en el 228 de Morrison Street. Si llegáis a Edimburgo en el autobús del aeropuerto, os bajáis en la parada de Haymarket Station, y está a unos 300 mts hacia arriba, al principio de Morrison Street, en la acera de la izquierda. Tiene tres pisos hacia arriba y uno hacia abajo. No tiene recepción, así que lo primero que hay […] que hacer es ir a por las llaves a otro apartamento de la cadena, el Fountain Courts Grove, que está en el 121 de Grove Street (abierta 24 horas). Grove Street es la primera bocacalle que sale a la derecha de Morrison Street, según pasas por la puerta de nuestro apartamento. Hay que subir la calle hasta el final (hacia la mitad de la calle hay otro bloque de apartamentos, Fountain Courts Harris, esos no son). Una vez llegas a la recepción del Grove te darán las llaves, uno o dos juegos (no los perdáis porque os cobrarán una elevada multa). Después volvemos a nuestro apartamento y, empezamos a subir escaleras (nosotros tuvimos mala suerte, nos tocó el tercer piso). En concreto, hasta el tercer piso son 63 escalones. No se puede fumar, así que o dejas de fumar o haces ejercicio. El apartamento es muy espacioso. Tiene un gran salón-comedor-cocina con cocina eléctrica, horno, lavadora, lavavajillas, frigorífico, microondas, tostador y cuatro servicios de menaje. La verdad es que no echamos de menos nada. Tiene tres botes llenos de sobrecitos de café, té y azúcar y un hervidor de agua. Muchos armarios. En cuanto al salón, una mesa de comedor con cuatro sillas, una mesa baja, un sofá y un sillón. Hay televisión, equipo de música y una lámpara de pie. Debajo de la televisión hay un mueble donde está la caldera del agua caliente. Nosotros estuvimos en fechas de mucho frío (del 1 al 8 de Diciembre), incluso nos nevó algún día. Hay radiadores en todas las estancias, y son regulables. Si están al máximo, pasas calor. Una mañana nos levantamos con frío, y no funcionaba el agua caliente. Supusimos que la caldera se había quedado s Mehr

整理而言 是個很不錯的旅店 整體呈現出來的就是回到家的感覺 可以開伙可以洗衣服 雖然說這次的旅行我們並未用到這個功能 但是看到真的感覺很棒 附近也有些便宜的東西可以吃 只是走到castle可能要15分鐘 有點小累 哈

Ett bra medelklass hotell.Rent och snyggt.Bara 20 min med taxi från flygplatsen.Vi hade en liten etta med kök där all utrustning fanns.Ett bra läge med mataffär 5 min promenad bort,pub utanför dörren och 15-20 min trevlig promenad till Grassmarket.Ett minus för tråkiga sängar utan bädmadrass dock.
