Zum Bahnhof sind es zu Fuß 5 zum NCC 15 min. Es liegt an einem immer stark befahrenen Verkehrsknoten. Die Fenster können nicht geöffnet werden. Die Wünsche an das Hotel (Raucher) wurden bei mir nicht berücksichtigt. Das Frühstück ist für britische Verhältnisse ok. Es gibt sogar knusprig aufgebackenes Brot.

The Radisson is in a great location to access Birmingham shops, restaurants and other areas. The only difficulty we had on a 2 night stay was getting the hotel to clean the room, even when we asked it was a very halfhearted&poor effort which was a shame.

Excellent town centre location with modern, spacious rooms. Good value for money with attentive staff. We booked two rooms and one wasn't ready on time so the receptionist kindly sent complimentary drinks to us while we waited.

The Radisson Blu is a conveniently placed hotel close to many of the attractions that will like to see or visit while you visit Birmingham and very easily accessed either by car or train. On first approach, I was slightly disappointed with the hotel's exterior, as it looked so magnificent in the night photos but less so in reality. Though I was pleasantly […] surprised with the room decor as it was spacious, clean and offered a view over Birmingham. Oh and the bed was extremely comfortable, had great nights of relaxed sleep: in fact two of the best I've had in a long time. The reception staff were very friendly and if there was anything that I can quibble about, it would be the room service. Breakfast was included in my stay and as my partner and I chose to have a lazy morning we had it delivered up on request from the night before. Our food arrived on time, with almost all of what we ordered:- hash browns were apparently not able to be sent to rooms but we were given no phone call or update that that would be subsituted for another potatoe addition as we may have decided to go down to the breakfast floor instead. Our tea arrived colder than room temperature and we had no condiments to accompany out meal. A quick call made sure that the condiments were brought up but by the time it arrived our meal was cold and less enjoyable. As for the tea we ended up making our own again. We did not try breakfast on the second morning as a result and went into town instead. Overall the hotel was pleasant to stay in and scores highly for convenience of location. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a little noise from other residents in the next room but not late. The most annoying thing was the lack of wi-fi coverage in the hotel room. Yes there was a LAN connection and it was free, but who wants to sit at the desk to use their computer all the time. Not me.

Great hotel, the rooms were very clean and in good condition, great location, the only problem was the double bed was made of 2 single beds pushed together and kept separating during the night.

Excellent hotel, great service and close to all amenities. The staff were welcoming. I requested a room high up to see the view, and was put on the 17th floor! Would stay here again.

The hotel was peacefull,very relaxing the staff very helpful our check in was good also. Breakfast was a bit basic but I enjoyed it. Areas for improvement would be breakfast presentation needs improving the food tastes good but not apealing to the eyes. I enjoyed using the gym & sauna.

I booked a suite for myself and my girlfriend as a surprise. The reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The suite was very large and recently funished. With the floor to ceiling windows giving a wonderful view. Proximity to the Bullring and New Street were handy for eating out and shopping. However I drove and parking the car in the nearby […] car park wasn't cheap even though there was a concession from the hotel. All in all, I honestly think this is one of the best value hotels in its class. Very reasonable price for a 5* experience. I'll definitely stay here again. Mehr

Me and my fiance stayed at this hotel recently and had a great time, the location is perfect and close to all local attractions. The room was great with lots of space and a great veiw of the city. I made a request before i stayed to be placed on a high floor and was placed on the 13th floor wich was more than suitable as there 18 floors. When we arriveed […] the door handle fell of the bathroom door, we called reception and to compensate for this we were given a free upgrade to a continetal brekfast each. Be aware that the gym and sauna area is very very small, thers is no pool, and fitting more people into the sauna at a time would b e a squeeze. Overall we enjoyed are stay and would recomend it. Lovely hotel. Great service and very good staff. The room was a bit small, and even on the 10th floor, you could hear the traffic and road noise. There is no parking other than the NCP and its right on the middle of a roundabout. The aircon was broken and the fan in the bathroom did not switch off, so the room was cold. Check in took 20 mins. We were not offered a morning newspaper. The room was described as 'two queen sized beds' it was one bed with two mattresses and two single quilts We left an item in the room by mistake at checkout. The first two calls we made to the hotel we were told that it had not been found. On the third it had been found.

the hotel was cold in the rooms, restaurants and bar. The restaurant had terrible customer service and completely messed up our order. I have had no response to my complaint and could not recommend it to anyone.

This is our 4th or 5th stay over the past couple of years. The hotel is well situated for shopping and dining at the Bullring or Mailbox complexes and a short walk from the gay district. Perfect for our needs. We always ask for a high floor which minimises the traffic noise, although its never an issue after a few drinks at night! Breakfast is good […] if you can get it for a reasonable rate but personally I think the £20 upgrade fee for a business package is not worth it - i don't need dressing gowns or slippers and the espresso machine is nice but i can't drink £20 worth of coffee per day to justify its expense and the free movies are of no interest to me. Great location, lovely decor.

The front of house staff are welcoming and helpfull. The standards maintaining the hotel are limited, lack of tissues in bathroom, lights out in bathroom and lack of replenishment of tea and coffee in the room were disappointing. The room had only 1 wine glass and no paper was delivered on the second morning (stay was in business class room). The breakfast […] staff on the Saturday morning were more professional and quicker at clearing tables than the Sunday. Room information booklet was missing any form of information about the Spa or Gym and how to access it. Mehr

Great hotel, nice restaurant on the first floor also....although for valentines day they really did HIKE up their prices :( Other than that the stay was nice but Hotels.com didnt ring them up to confirm our booking with them so it went pete tong initially and i never got my king size bed as requested.

We've stayed with the Radisson chain on a number of occasions in the past and have had quite mixed experiences. This Radisson Blu, like its counterpart in Edinburgh, disappointingly provides twin beds which appear to be held together with bedding alone - as opposed to any form of locking or joining system or a conventional double bed (or indeed the […] King bed that we were assured had been booked). A king bed may technically be the breadth of two twins but the beds in Edinburgh actually split apart with one of us falling down the gap... so we weren't filled with much hope when we realised that the beds in Birmingham were also two twins pushed together. The bedroom and bathroom here in Brum were clean but the carpet in the bedroom was heavily stained in a number of places. This didn't really spoil the evening in a significant way as the bedroom had a wonderful view over the centre of Birmingham which was ideal to watch the new year fireworks and the corridor was fairly sumptuous but it did feel like we'd been given a 'basic' room, despite the facilities (other than the bed) being as advertised. Its sister hotel in Edinburgh was at least sumptuously furnished whereas this room seemed.. just reasonable really.. The restaurant was closed for new year's eve which was a shame. To be fair to the hotel it didn't advertise that it *would* be open - just a disappointment that it wasn't an option for the meal. Breakfast was reasonable with a reasonable choice - but again not superb, not anything to "write home about". No decaf tea - but possibly not the only big chain to not have that on offer. The above comments may seem very picky; the Edinburgh hotel was very nice save for the bed, and we've stayed in some fantastic Raddisson Edwardians and a number of other very nice hotels but the "magic" of staying away at new year was spolit a little and we would now sooner stay again at a Raddisson Edwardian hotel or equally happily in another chain rather than risk another Blu. Was slightly concerned by some of the previous reviews about this hotel - but was pleasantly surprised. Staff were polite and helpful, room was very clean and comfortable and there was a good choice of food for breakfast. We stayed on New Year's Eve and were within walking distance to the firework display at Centenary Square. Lovely hotel, room was great and all very clean. Bar was nice, but quite pricey. Be careful though, we were told in error that breakfast was included in our room rate. Luckily we double checked, as it would have cost us an extra £30.

We normally stay at the Malmaison in the Mailbox, however thought this time we would try a 1 bed suite at the Radisson Blu as it looks very good in the website pics. In reality, it's cool on a budget. The room was plain and in some parts dirty. The bedside lampshades for example were covered in stains and dust! I would seriously avoid this hotel. There are much nicer hotels in Birmingham for a similar or less price. The holiday inn behind the Radission looked much nicer and would have cost a fraction of the price. There is no car parking for the hotel, only the NCP behind. If you can put up with the smell of urine from the stairwell you will be ok, otherwise, […] avoid avoid avoid. Mehr

We were allowed to check in early, staff were friendly, room was clean and well mantained, we were very happy. Close to the town, night life. Just fab.

Hotel is very convenient for the Bull Ring. Traffic is busy and this makes hotel quite noisy. Good views over Birmingham. Car park is public one around the corner which is quite tight for parking if you have a big car and despite the one way arrows, it is actually two way so drive carefully. Restaurant is very good but quite expensive.

Hotel was around a 5 minute walk away from New St station. The staff on reception were very courteous on arrival. The room was a decent size although I found the blue colour a little garish and overwhelming. The decor was a little tacky and more akin to a 3* establishment than one which is a 4*. bathroom smells like sewer everytime you run the water in the sink :( otherwise stay was pleasant.

The Hotel is well located for shopping and the train station. A lot of effort had been put into the breakfast buffet and the presentation of the food was quite high. The room and bathroom was a reasonable size, with good quality towels. The mini-bar is automated, so if you move anything a charge is registered when checking out. I used the mini-bar […] for my own items and explained this at check-out and the costs were removed. When I checked in the staff demanded to put 50 pounds on my credit card to cover any spending in the Hotel. Mehr

I have been inside the Radisson SAS before but never stayed. It was a very enjoyable stay and I would definetly go back. The service was tip top and the hotel decor and cleanliness was brilliant! The rooms had great views of birmingham and the beds were so comfy. Would definetly recommend this place!

Good location from the train stations and the shopping centers. Nice staff and quality of the hotel... I recommend this one... But when checking out, I have got 16pounds extra cost from the bar... someone must made mistake....

My Girlfriend and I booked in fro Friday the 3rd and Saturday the 4th of July. Nicola at Reception was first class. We were on the 18th floor backwards facing in a beautiful business Room. The window was floor to ceiling and being so high up we couldn't open it obviously. Air con worked fine but isn't ideal to have on all the time. room was a little […] stuffy but this is a minor quibble. Location was perfect as the Mailbox is right beside the radisson and shopping close by too. We took advantage of the 2 for 1 cocktails on Sat and were most impressed with the attention to detail and friendly staff. We asked for a late check out on Sunday and were allowed our room until 3pm on Sumday at no extra cost! really glad we chose the radisson overall. Very chic and a great spot for a romantic weekend. We booked this hotel mainly because of it's close proximity to the Hippodrome and easy walking distance from New Street Station. I was very happy with the hotel and the service.

Nice hotel would use it again. Beware, if you move anything in the minibar it will be charged to your bill. So much for technology. Staff really nice and bed really comfy.

This Hotel was fantastic, we were going to stay at the ibis and this was just £10 more a night! we were upgraded to business class with free bath robes and slippers, just wish we had more time in the hotel we would go back just to stay there a night!! we had room 501 and it was windows all round with views of brum, being from b'ham myself this was […] not important but the room was lovely. only one problem was finding the curtains as one wall is all windows and a bit noisy could not find the curtains until 4 am in the morning did not aid a good nites sleep. The hotel was lovely ...shame about the location. However, the decor within the room was faultless and room service was great. The only pity was the fact that I'd ordered a King room and having arrived to a twin was not too impressed. I stayed a weekend there and was very pleased with the restaurant, the staff and my room. The bed was a bit uncomfortable, too soft for me, but besides that very pleased with the room; good TV channels, easy access to the wireless broadband and a waterboiler in my room so that I could make myself some instant coffee. It's all I could ask for :)

nette kamers, geen geluidsoverlast, goed en gevarieerd ontbijt. zeker een aanrader.

Ett fint hotell med bra läge. Det luktade dock oerhört illa på entréplan. Avlopp eller liknande.
