Wir bekamen kostenlos ein Zimmerupgrade. Im Zimmer angekommen, waren wir sprachlos. Großes Zimmer mit Himmelbett, großes Bad mit Dusche und Whirlpoolwanne. Alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Liebevoll eingerichtet. Am nächsten morgen wurde dann erstmal das vielgelobte Frühstück unter die Lupe genommen. Ich gebe zu, dass ich mich fragte, warum ein Porridge preisgekrönt sein kann. Ok, nun weiß ich es. Ich liebe Porridge - aber nun habe ich neue Maßstäbe. Das restliche Frühstück ließ auch keine Wünsche offen. Man bekam eine Menükarte für das warme Frühstück und konnte sich etwas auswählen. von Crepes und Wraps bishin zum tradionellen irishen Frühstück war alles vorhanden. Wie man die Eier haben wollte (porchiert, gekocht, gebraten oder gerührt) konnte man natürlich auch angeben. :-) Zudem waren Besitzer und Personal auch sehr hilsbereit und gaben gerne auch Tips für die Umgebungen. Diese Hotel ist absolut empfehlenswert!

Super Hotel. An der Atlantikbucht gelegen, Zimmer mit Meerblick buchbar. Wunderschöne Hotelanlage, mit tollem Spa-Bereich. Im Whirlpool sitzen und aufs Meer blicken. Zimmer top eingerichtet, super Service, sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend, aufmerksam. Golfplatz vorhanden, ca. 3 km bis in die nächste Ortschaft. Wunderschön gelegen, wunderschönes Hotel und top Service. Kein Wenn und Aber. Einfach grandios.

B&B direkt über hauseigenem Pub mit dem besten Essen an der Südküste. Zimmer einwandfrei, sehr freundliches Personal und zur Krönung bekommt mann das Frühstück wie gewünscht frisch serviert. Übrigens der beste Ausgangspunkt für den Ring of Kerry.

Saubere, hübsch eingerichtete Zimmer. Sehr schönes Ambiente in der Empfangshalle. Freundliches Personal. Essen auch sehr empfehlenswert. Nur Tralee als Ort hat uns nicht sehr zugesagt.

very enjoyable stay! got the hotel at a great price! room was basic but v clean. staff at reception were not that welcoming but the bar staff etc were v nice! We were woke up twice by House Keeping which was annoying when we had the "Do not disturb" sign out. other than those minors blibs the stay was very enjoyable, a nice hotel with good entertainment […] and lovely surrounds aswell! "Not equipped to cater for such large numbers"
The hotel stay was fine apart from the rooms not being ready on the day of check-in. I attended conferences there lately and I feel management could have dealt with the situation in a better manner. Very few rooms were ready on time and people were being fobbed off and being told "just another 20 minutes" whenever they questioned the availability of […] their rooms. I understand the busy task that was at hand with the hotel being full to capacity, however that is not a good enough excuse to keep so many guests waiting. Not the Irish experince we had hoped for... staff were unfriendly and unhelpful! Our roomkey never seemed to work and our room was so far from reception - we had to keep going back! The hotel was OK during our 3n stay. While some of the furniture looked a bit worn, the bed was comfortable and everything was very clean. It had free wifi which was helpful. "Gleneagle Hotel - Perfect Base for Ring of Kerry"
My husband and I stayed in this hotel for one night as our base for driving the Ring of Kerry. It is located a little ways out of town, so it was good to have our car with us to reach the pubs and such in town. Aside from that, it is in good approximation to reach the route as well as for exploring the National Park nearby. Hotel needs a massive makeover. I noticed that a lot of the staff were under pressure and did not seem happy in their jobs. One of the reasons this could be happening may be the way the staff are treated by management, on several occasions I seen managent/supervisors giving the staff a really tough time. Hotel staff was helpful. Room was ok for the price. Location was near town but not within walking distance. Plenty of parking. The bar was nice -- however no food service after 6 pm. "hotel close to town"
the bedroom was very small and had no table or chair if you wanted to sit and have coffee and read the paper. the television did not work and no information about it. the swimming pool was closed, even though the hotel information said it was open. The Gleneagle Hotel,although an old hotel but recently re-decorated, is an excellent choice to stay as it has a fine leisure centre and great entertainment provided within the INEC centre,Acoustic club and Hotel Ballroom.There are regular star attractions held in the above. Stayed in the hotel for 2 nights as part of the Celtic Rock Festival (Big Country & Simple Minds) in the on-site INEC music venue. Rooms were spacious and clean and the staff were very pleasent and helpful. There is a great restaurant in the hotel offering very good food at reasonable prices. Vouchers can be bought at reception offering a three course […] meal for €20. There is also a newsagent and gift shop in the hotel with 2 good bars. Breakfasts were excellent. There is a shuttle bus services into the town costing €2. A taxi costs around €6 although it can be walked in about 15/20 mins. Overall it's a great hotel with plenty of entertainment all on site and I would strongly recommend this hotel to everyone. Mehr

"Cramped quarters"
This hotel was dingy and could use improvement. It was out of the way from town, the staff was unfriendly, and the beds were meant for only the shortest of people as both mine and my husband's feet hung off the bottom of the bed. There was no temperature control in the room and the room was roasting all night.
